Awesome. Love the food. Little pricey hence the 4.5 but great food. Good heat gage online and love te chicken chilli basil , satay chicken is brilliant all in all good food
Great Thai in the hills. I really can't believe that I've wandered back and forth passed Sala Thai for over a decade and not tried it! Our first takeaway experience was a great one and we'll certainly be back soon. Relatively pricey but that's Thai/Stirling and it's not like the Hills are swimming with Asian restaurants you'd ever go to twice. Recommended.
Always Great Food!. Great food and friendly service. Mostly have take away but have eaten in a few times. The decor and the room is just average but the food is divine.

Another Great Thai. If you look back over my reviews you might notice that Thai restaurants keep popping up. Well Sala is one of my original favourites and during a visit last Saturday I realised I had never put a review here on Urbanspoon. That is an omission I am correcting now.
The worst thing about living in the Adelaide Hills is that we have too many good restaurants to choose from however Sala Thai has always been one of our firm favourites and last Saturdays dinner was no exception.
Their dishes are always fresh and excellent. None of the classic mistakes some thai restaurants make and of particular note are dishes like the "Sea Star" entree, the Basil Duck and any of their curries.
Service is friendly (very friendly but then we have been here often and for a good number of years) but the place can get busy at times (bookings are probably a good idea anytime and essential at the busy end of the week).
Sala is not a "cheap eats" restaurant but neither is it an expensive one. Mid priced and we find quite reasonable - considering what my family can eat!!
Once again I'm more than happy to recommend this restaurant - another dining establishment of excellence in Stirling!
Brilliant food and fantastic friendly service. The salt and pepper garlic squid is amazing. Food is better eaten in but is still good as a takeaway. Highly recommended.
Fantastic Thai. This place does very good Thai, especially their curries and basil dishes. We've dined in 3 times and ordered take away about 5 times, and it's always been great.
Favourite dishes are the Yellow fish curry, Basil Duck and Green Curry.
The owners are also really friendly.
The best Thai restaurant in the Adelaide Hills!. The Adelaide Hills has a dearth of Asian restaurants, possibly as it is a very Eurocentric district. Most Asian restaurants here range from 'average' to 'terrible'. Thankfully, Sala Thai Cuisine is an exception to this rule.
Sala Thai is a genuinely good Thai restaurant. One feature they offer is the ability to specify the hotness of one's dish on a scale of 1 to 5. Last night, I chose the Drunken Noodles at a 2 and the Thai Green Chicken Curry at 5 and I was not disappointed. The noodles had a beautiful balance of Thai flavours, and the curry was spot on (and darn hot!).
Granted, you pay the Stirling Tax (i.e. it's a little more expensive than similar restaurants on the plains), but it's worth it for the convenience. The staff are lovely, too. Definitely one of the better Thai restaurants in Adelaide, and the best Asian restaurant in the Hills by a convincing margin.
Thanks to the heavy traffic on M1 that drove us down to Stirling and found this wonderful Thai restaurant.
On the menu, each dish seems pricey; however the three dishes we ordered were soooooo TASTY and big-portioned!
Definitely coming back again sometimes after work.

The vibrant colours of the vegetables included in the fresh tantalising flavours of the dishes made for delightful dining. Pricing considered reasonable. Service was friendly. Well worth coming.
Food was very tasty. Generous serves and the service was good. It was VERY busy when we were there on a Wed night. Prices are reasonable.
