Kimchi +pork dumplings (4.5/5) - very delicious! And can’t wait to come back for more! The dumplings are delicately wrapped with the perfect skin- sticky, thin & just yum!
The dumpling is filled with glass noodles, kimchi + pork mince, which accompanied with their soy sauce was the perfect flavour combo! The portions are also massive and definitely very filling.

Pork bone soup (3.8/5) - a warm, clear and humbling bowl of noodle soup. Quite generous with the portion of noodles and beef.
However, the subtle flavour in the noodles kinda get lost if you eat the accompanying kimchi. Otherwise, if you’re looking for a humbling, light meal, this is definitely it!
Finally I could pay a visit to this small resto. Located oy walking distance to Strathfield station, you could easily to spot this place. Be ready for long queue on lunch time or weekend. Now I know why this place always packed of people. I was ordered spicy cold noodles with deadly spicy level (pssstt! This level isn't for faint hearted), kimchi pork Mandoo and dumpling salad. My cold noodles taste good, the taste itself so complex; (very) spicy, sweet, sour and bit tangy. But the Mandoo taste even better! The best Mandoo I've ever had, Mandoo skin not too thick not too thin, and the filling so generous with savoury taste. You should try the Mandoo. Salad dumpling was my hubby's ordered it was some fried dumplings with shredded cabbage and spring onion with gojuchang and Mayo spead nothing special.
The Mandoo is one of the best places to go whenever I crave for some Korean dumplings and cold noodles. Their dumplings are big and stuffed with lots of fillings inside, just too delicious I could have a whole serving to myself...
Loved the handmade noodles and ENORMOUS dumplings! Portions sizes are fantastic for the price of the dish. Particularly liked the dumplings in beef bone soup. Did notice that the filling of the dumplings and buns wasn't all pork and very obviously had noodles in it. Not sure if this is just how it is at the Mandoo or was cost-saving measure but I wasn't a huge fan of this.

This place is known for their dumplings! And holy moly their dumplings are so delicious and juicy! Wonderful flavours and it definitely will satisfy your dumpling cravings!
I ordered beef bone soup with dumplings and prawn and pork dumplings. Came with complimentary kimchi which tbh didnt taste that nice.
The potion was big. The size of the dumplings were huge. I walked out with a massive food baby.
The soup was so creamy and nice. Loved everything i ordered.
The waitress there could have just had a tad better in customer service tho.
Be prepared to wait if in a big group as it's quite small. Once inside, welcome to Korean dumpling heaven. The seafood noodle soup is also very satisfying for noodle fans. Although good by itself, a spicy sauce wouldn't hurt would it?
I absolutely LOVE the cold noodles here. Defs would recommend, fried dumplings are delicious too. The service was fast and restaurant is very clean and comfortable, price is decent too. Keen to try more from here!
This restaurant had such a warm atmosphere and gave a homely feeling. I enjoyed eating the buns, it was very delicious alongside the sauce, and it was soothing watching them make the buns itself from scratch. Despite only four buns, they were very filling and hearty.
My favourite place to get some Korean style dumplings! There is just so much delicious options here.
My personal favourite is the dumplings in beef bone soup, which comes with 2 kimchi and pork dumplings and 2 pork dumplings in a bowl of soup with bits of rice cake and beef. It is honestly an all time favourite and I have probably ordered this dish more than 10 times.
If you’re there looking for some amazing Korean dumplings look no further than their pork bun dumplings and their pork dumplings. Their kimchi pork dumplings are very enjoyable and their deep fried pork dumplings are good to try something different.
I just love this little place in Strathfield. The restaurant is quite small but try and get there early to enjoy a meal. It’s also very mesmerising to watch the dumplings being made at the front of the store. I love The Mandoo!

Been to this place around 5 times already, decided to bring my brother with us this time. He was amazed by the steam dumplings, just like I tried the first time! Dumplings are big and filling, juicy meat and kimchi combination is my favourite. My husband love their clear beef noodle soup, definitely recommend. However not the steam buns, which we feel was a bit too blend of flavour.
This place was absolutely dishes. We got the dumpling sampler and dumplings in beef bone soup (+ extra noodles). When I first saw the price I thought it was quite expensive however the dumpling servings are quite big. They are so flavourful yet not too overpowering. 👍🏻

Let's talk about mandu, Korean dumplings, which have tofu, sesame oil, and sometimes sweet potato noodles in their fillings. The mandoo caters not only dumplings, but also bun dumplings (or buns), and my favorite buns happen to be the BBQ pork galbi. Here, you can enjoy your mandu(s) and bun(s) alone, or pair it with hot and cold noodles. I've tried cold noodles in different Korean restaurants but the ones here are the best so far. I also enjoy watching the 'ahjussi' skillfully kneading the dough and flattening them into tiny mandu wraps.
The place is so small so it's a challenge when you come as a big group or when you're too hungry for the line. But just keep in mind that service is hit-and-miss, so you can politely prompt the waitress if you dumplings don't arrive within 15 minutes or so. When I seek my Korean friends' opinions about this place, the majority of them would tell me to go to Korea to try the REAL mandu. Maybe I would change my mind, only if I have a chance to visit Korea.

Just incase you're not familiar with Korean language, Mandoo means 'dumpling' in Korean. This is the only place in Sydney where you can have the freshest and delicious Korean dumplings. There are Korean dumplings you can buy from the Asian grocery stores but they're best left in the fridge, forever. If you order the combination (All 6 Flavours Dumpling Sampler) Mandoo (see the photo) you get to try all the flavours. Kimchi, BBQ Galbi pork and prawn with pork are my recommendation. Make sure you consume the Kimchi with Pork Mandoo first so that your friend doesn't steal it off your hands. I give this place 5 bears for Mandoo. Instagram: @hungrrryteddy
Hands down the best dumpling place! Loved every single dumpling we ordered! The workers can come off as rude - cause it is soo busy - but honestly, the dumplings are soo delicious that you won’t be able to resist not coming back!
My favourites were definitely the kimchi, pork bun and the prawn dumplings! They were soo good! Soo flavourful! And surprisingly, the sizes are quite big! We ate all this between the 3 of us and we were full! Prices are reasonable, 5-6 big dumpling pieces for about $12. Service is fairly quick! They have limited indoor seating. Highly recommend this place and will definitely come back!!!
I’m a big fan of dumplings! It’s my first time trying Korean dumplings and I really loved it! Lots of different variety of dumplings with different fillings. No pictures because we were too eager to eat them all! Would definitely be coming back!
The food there is very very tasty. I often visit there for Manduguk which is beef soup, damplings and sticky rice cake. However, the old lady who is floor staff, unbelievably rude each time I go there. She never say thank you, never ever smiles, rudely get an order and when the food is ready, she just put it on the table without saying 'thank you' or 'Here you are' . When it's payment she just say the name of the order and NEVER EVER say thank you. Food is good but the old lady is just freaking SHIT. There used to be young floor staff ladies, they were 100 percent better than her as to CUSTOMER SERVICE.
After hearing good things about this place from a friend, I finally went. The food was amazing, honestly was so surprised when the food came out. The prices are really decent and the portions are so BIG!! The service was also good and even though there isn’t much seating, it’s a really cozy restaurant. I was really happy that the spicy dumpling soup was spicy enough :) will definitely be back to try more things on the menu.

One of Korean spot that I used to go in Strathfield. For me their beef soup and dumpling are the best. Similar with the one that I eat in korea. My fav dumpling is the kimchi one. So delicious and must try if you are in strathfield area.
Very fast service, very nice people. I only go to this place for Korean dumplings, I have never gone to any other place now. I really recommend this place anyone wanting kimchi Korean dumplings 😊
The Mandoo makes Sydney’s best Korean dumplings! They’re so plump and juicy, it’s ridiculous 😩 If you ever visit the prawn dumplings is a must try! And also was in love with the knife cut noodles 🤭

Unfortunately the place is quite small so there is a bit of a wait when it gets busy.
The pork, kimchi with pork and prawn dumplings are my absolute favourites!! They’re huge and are stuffed full of flavoursome filling! The dipping sauce and the pickled radish that accompany the dumplings are very welcomed as the radish relieves your palette nicely between different dumplings.
The beef broth noodle soup is very hearty and satisfying on a cold night! The soup is delicious and the thick noodles are cooked nicely.
Only down side, it is a little pricey for some dumplings, but I think they’re worth it!
I tried the beef handmade noodle. The stock soup is quite nice, the noodle is cooked well with a lilttle chewy. The down side is it does not has many meats. I counted only 5 small pieces of meat. omg.
Although I do complain about the steep price every time I visit Mandoo, I must admit their dumplings are legit , and their spicy cold noodles soup is one of the best that I have tried ... it was a bit tomatoey?? The flavour was so addictive!

The Mandoo is a small place which serves an assortment of dumplings/buns/cold noodles. I’ve been a few times, and have tried an assortment of their steamed dumplings/buns, soup dumplings and cold noodle soup. I’ve honestly loved everything I’ve tried so far, and the serving sizes are great - the dumplings/buns are both huge. The dumpling skin is very thin - like rice paper - which isn’t to my taste, but some may like this. The buns are very soft and fluffy. I personally love the kimchi pork bun. The dumpling soups are also very nice - I like that they come with both plain pork and kimchi dumplings in them. The kimchi cold noodle soup is lovely, and comes with an egg on top, though no other components. If sharing - you can always add extra noodles to any leftover soup for a reasonable $3. My only issues really are with the service - it’s not very friendly, and the lack of sides - only kimchi and pickled radish? is provided. It’s not the cheapest place, but prices are reasonable.
Good place to eat noodles and dumpling quickly. I had seafood noodle and its soup was full of flavours and noodles' texture was nice. Their dumplings also were delicious and huge portion.
The restaurant was busy and menu choice was limited, but it is worth visiting again to try Korean local food.

Feel like I’ve found a true gem. What’s so good about this place? Firstly, I love mandoo- Korean dumplings. It’s one of my favourite foods. Secondly, the mandoo here is legit - home made, thin dumpling wrapping which you can see being rolled in front of your very eyes. Plump with juicy, fresh and tasty filling, the dumplings are larger than your average mandoo. Thirdly, the soup is delicious and nourishing, just what you need during this change of seasons. I know from watching my Mum that the beef bone broth takes hours on the stove to extract that creamy white goodness. As a bonus there was some dduk (white rick sticks) and bits of beef in my broth. Not being able to go past the hand made kalguksu (Korean noodles) my friend and I split a serve of extra noodles between our two bowls. Finally, they are generous with the side of kimchi, which is all the side dish you need. Next time I might ask for dadegi (not on the menu) which is a traditional chilli seasoning to make the soup spicy. Yum! Can’t wait for my next visit.

I think of this place as somewhere for a quick meal if you're craving noodles or dumplings (some of their dumplings are more like mantou, due to yeast in the skin). Overall the pricing is good for their noodle dishes but I feel it is on the steep side for the dumplings.
I tried the noodles in beef bone soup and also the pork galbi dumplings. The noodles in soup were good, I like the texture of the noodles and the flavour of the soup. The soup doesn't have much meat in it so if you are after meat this is not it. The pork galbi dumplings were more like steamed buns. The outside is nice and fluffy and such a great texture. The filling has good flavour but because it has a few things mixed together, it has a more light texture rather than the feeling of biting into meat.
I'd go back for the soup noodles, or to try some of their non yeast dumplings. They have a dumpling sampler which has one of each type of dumpling, I'd recommend getting this to try, though it's not cheap!
By the way unlike other Korean restaurants they only provide kimchi and some dipping sauce and radish, rather than a full set of side dishes, but that's fine given the nature of the joint.
The Mandoo serves huge handmade dumplings and noodles in a narrow, open-aired corner shop. The dumplings are quite tasty- I opt for the kimchi dumplings most of the time because the plain pork ones are on the other hand, rather bland. When you order dumplings, they come with a soy-vinegar dipping sauce to make up for it though.
The noodles are nice; soft with a slight chew to them. I've tried most of the hot noodle soups and all of them have been flavourful and well worth the wait. The seafood noodles especially come with lots of seafood and the broth is sweet from all of the seafood that has been cooking in it.
However if you are expecting a kick out of the 'spicy' noodles, I'd recommend getting a cold noodle dish, since the spicy seafood noodle soup has very little heat to it.
Great little place that serves up handmade dumplings. I get their cold noodle every time I go because it’s so good and refreshing. Must venture out one of these days. The servings are small tho but it’s cheap so you can even get 2 dishes :)
On the first week of my arrival I explored the suburb of Strathfield and it was very Korean. There is no shortage of Korean BBQ here and I wonder how they all stay in business. After wandering up and down the block a few times because I’m indecisive, I finally decided to pop into The Mandoo. Not really sure what drew me here compared to the other places. Maybe because it looked small and homey? The menu is small and consists of dumplings and noodle soups.

The mandoo and noodles are freshly handmade & the portion is quite generous. Minimum spend for two is around $45.
The service was quite nice as the staff members and owners were extremely friendly.
I recommend you get the beef bone soup with a side of noodles as add on. They give about 4 generous servings of mandoo.
Now if you feel like it’s too got to have soup, definitely try the spicy cold noodles aka bibim naengmyun. Its ones of my faves! Dont forget to Pair if up with some fried mandoo ! Its heaven.

This is a popular Korean restaurant famous for their dumplings. The restaurant itself is quite small and fills up very quickly. The kimchi dumplings and the spicy cold noodles are my personal favourite and a must order.
This tiny restaurant amidst the other korean restaurants in strathfield has some tasty food ! They have a simple menu with different kinds of noodles (hot/cold) and korean styled dumplings. I ordered the spicy seafood noodle soup, spicy cold noodle soup and an array of dumplings. The soup of the spicy noodle soup hit the spot with spice and depth. The dumplings were plump and had thin skin that wrapped around a yummy filling. Service was also friendly. Despite all this, it's hard to ignore the steep prices for dumplings, and noodle soup >< but it's yummy... so yeah might be there again lol.
My friend and I had lunch there on Sunday. The place is very small so it's better to get in early to get a table on the weekend. They serve handmade dumplings which are very filling (big!!) and tasty. We also had a cold noodle as well as warm dumpling soup. Most of the customers were Korean people and the tables were all full. I wonder why this place is so popular. I would like to go back again and try other dishes!
Came here since they first opened, and up to this day theres a slight change in taste but its still pretty good as there aren't many shop that specialises in korean dumplings. Fillings are generous, and their other dishes (cold noodle, seafood noodle soup, etc) are amazing as well. Nice ,creamy seafood broth and good noodles 👍

This busy little corner shop is home to a range of hand-made Korean mandoo (dumplings) and noodles. Together with a few friends we order their fried dumplings, steamed prawn dumplings and kimchi pork buns! My favourite was the buns despite the mediocre filling because the dough was really unique to me. The cold noodles are also so delicious and right up my alley!
Once upon a time, Strathfield was the frozen yogurt capital of the world. The Mandoo took over the real estate that once housed DIY froyo machines and set up a handmade dumpling and noodle place instead.
Get the mondoo... every one and every type is deliciously perfect. Must have mondoo soup dumplings or even better is beef bone broth soup and mondoo. Fried mondoo salad is amazingly tasty too. Soft hand made noodle soup is great value for money and if you are extra hungry get the extra noodles... they flow like silk
The Korean dumplings here are quite authentic, I lived in Korea so I'm very knowledgable. Great place for a quick, no fuss, casual meal. Their kimchi is delicious as well, and essential to eat as a condiment to your dumplings. Their prawn and pork dumplings were our favourite.
I would highly recommend the cold buckwheat noodles and shrimp dumplings which are dishes that I get most of the time when i visit this restaurant^^ The soup of the noodles is very refreshing and is one of the best that i have tried in Sydney. The red bean buns are also really good and sweet~
A bit pricey but worth ordering a dish of 4 mandoos. The flour bun is soft and thin, you see through your stuffed fillings yum yum! One thing, the tables are packed -over packed. Staff sometimes ask you to sit immediately next to a stranger, if you wish, you can rotate your seat and snatch their food!
It's nice to have a Mandoo place in Sydney. Still remember the one I kept walking past in Hongdae but never got to try.
This place is very tight... They manage to squeeze a lot of people in. The dumplings are fairly big but it is a little exxy compared with Chinese dumplings for example.

The kimchi and pork dumplings at the Strathfield restaurant are plump and round, crammed full of flavour. But the tofu and vegetable dumplings, though ginormous, are sadly venturing into bland territory (and I chose them – soz, dud pick of the day). Fortunately, we’ve also gone out on a limb with the deep fried pork dumplings and salad, which more than make up for the unexciting veg dumplings. There’s a drizzle of spicy sauce on crunchy shredded cabbage, crowned with tasty fried dumplings, spring onion, and mayo. Yes, please.
We've been to the Mandoo a couple of times and from our experiences here we've found that the dishes here are pretty decent however slightly overpriced. We have tried the pork bun dumpling and the bbq galbi bun dumpling which were both flavoursome and made nicely. The pork bun was succulent with a mixture of pork and noodle whilst the bbq galbi was slightly sweet but also quite juicy. In all, the food here is of good quality but be prepared to fork out a bit more for the dumplings. We will be back for the noodle dishes!
A quirky but accurate logo was enough to convince us to try what The Mandoo had to offer. As one of the many solid choices for Korean food in Strathfield, this tiny shop located on the corner opposite the 7/11 is often busy. When you walk into the shop through the front door, you can see customers slurping and munching on all manners of noodles, hot or cold. To your left, you will see the staff busily making an assortment of dumplings and buns that are the calling card of this shop.
A small restaurant near Strathfield train station so it is really really convenient. The flavour mandoo and cold noodles tastes really Korean.
I love dumplings! This place serves the best Korean dumplings in Sydney!!! They are huge too!! I can only eat about two or three max! Do try their kimchi dumplings if you love something with a bit of a kick!

Mandoo means dumplings in Korean. These Korean dumplings are super filling and tasty. My friends' and my favourite are the shrimp dumplings and kimchi dumplings. We would order a plate of dumplings and a plate of cold or hot noodles to share.
Honestly, so glad we finally have a great Korean dumpling place in Sydney - tastes just like ones in Korea.
This small, corner Korean restaurant, a block up from Strathfield Station is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal of dumplings. The noodles are very nice as well, and everything comes with a small serving of kimchi.
The service is friendly, and depending on how busy it is, the food generally comes out pretty quickly.
The mandoo is my favourite place for Korean dumplings. Although the shop is small, making dining in a bit of a tight squeeze, the taste and quality of the dumplings make it well worth it.
My favourite thing about this dumpling store is that you can see them freshly making the dumplings, which makes them all the more satisfying to eat.
I particularly like their spicy dumpling soup and their BBQ pork dumplings.

These dumplings are huge!!! The prawn ones contain a whole prawn along with a pork mince mixture. The dumplings in the soup are the size of tennis balls!! The dumplings may be huge, but they certainly do not lack flavour. A great spot for a quick lunch/dinner.

I've always wondered what the food at Mandoo would be like and it was the perfect time to try it.
The menu was pretty simple. Pretty much you want just dumplings, dumplings in soup or just noodles. I chose to have the pork bun dumplings, kimchi pork bun dumplings and seafood noodle soup.
The dumplings came out fresh out of the steamer and tasted great. I was clearly a fan 😊 I also enjoyed the noodles. It was a good serving with a generous amount of seafood in it. I was especially impressed with the crab.

I can definitely see why this spot is so popular. We ordered two noodles and two serves of dumplings between two people and we were stuffed! The dumplings are huge! Much bigger than Chinese dumplings, Koreans take it to another level. We tried the pork dumpling and prawn dumplings. I preferred the prawn ones as the prawn give if they little bit of extra flavour but the pork dumpling definitely wasn't lacking. The noodles we ordered were really good as well but the dumplings are definitely the standout. The menu isn't huge but what they have, they do well. I love that the dumplings are hand made right in front of you. I'll definitely be coming back for more!
Came for lunch and while the waitress came to us early before we had a chance to look at the menu,getting the waitress back was difficult. Took 10-15 mins for the food to come out. The dumplings are the size of small buns. Pretty nice though not much taste,had the first 3 dumplings on the list. The BBQ Galbi (which means ribs) was probably the best one. Also had the chewy noodles and they are definitely a jaw workout! The place is pretty small though, and the menu is limited,it's not bad here
Small place, but the mandoos here are packed with lots of fillings and big flavour. We also tried their beef noodle soup which has a very nice and clean flavour. You can definitely tell that everything is homemade here. A-go-to place for heart-warming comfort food.

One of the best Korean dumpling places you will find in Sydney. The Mandoo offers fresh handmade Korean dumplings which are almost identical to the ones you will find Korea. In addition, they offer many soups and noodles which are also extremely delicious. My personal favourite is the mandoo kook which is the dumpling soup. The broth is extremely creamy and delicate.
It can get a little packed so make sure you get here early during lunch or dinner time.
What an awesome place! Fantastic dumplings that are made in house. Flavoursome soup with a touch of beef. Great atmosphere and not as expensive as you might think.
The dumplings/ Mandoos here are really nice and are bursting with filling! They go really well with the chilli sauce proided. I really loved the seafood noodle soup here as well, the noodles had a nice chewiness to it and excellent broth. I came here later one weekday night so it wasn't so busy, a quietly buzzing atmosphere and lovely staff.

Watching other Koreans eat there makes you feel you've picked the right place, everyones so happy. i liked how they didnt complicate their menu and kept it simple. This is a place to go when you want something light if youre going out for dinner (like non oily greasy foods) Theyve improved a lot since last year , I was like "dont order the dumplings" to my bf but decided to get it anyway. We love the springy, chewy, squiggly texture of the noodles which come alive in the deeply aromatic, spicy seafood noodle soup. Having enjoyed a generous, filling meal which leaves us only $30 out of pocket, The Mandoo serves authentic, delicious and cheap Korean food that is a wonderful alternative to the many Korean BBQ joints in Strathfield.
Fresh, awesome dumplings freshly made and cooked. My stint in Strathfield has yielded one thing, and it's pretty much this (and other awesome Korean food).
Quite simple menu - dumplings, noodles, soup or a mix of any of the above. Mmmmm, kimchi.

I honestly love this place to death. Their ox bone soup is to die for and their dumplings are very delicious too. I’ve had a lot of ox bone soups at versions Korean places and this one is the most memorable and the best tasting. They shrimp dumplings were really delicious.
Bear in mind that this restaurant is very small and there are always long lines so try to avoid going during busy hours.
I really love their dumplings and buns. I didn’t expect that good. I will surely re-visit again. The shop is not big, so you will need to wait to get the seat. I always see the shop have a long queue during lunch time or around 4-5pm. If you are in a rush, they also do take away (they do it really fast).
I had a memorable experience at The Mandoo! Lots of bad reviews about COVID safety and bad service. The door is left permanently open for airflow and check in and vaccination proof is required. This is not a restaurant where you will get hand-held and waited on. Its a very casual vibe but the staff is still very helpful! We got 3 kinds of dumpling/buns (prawn/BBQ galbi beef/kimchi and pork). Highly recommend the prawn and kimchi and pork! The are LARGE dumplings. The prawn is double filled! Bite and check out the cross section. We got spicy cold noodles, and clear beef broth noodles. Both we recommend, surprisingly QQ texture for both. Use scissors to cut the long noodles! Would come again and get the dumpling sampler!
This is one of my fav korean restaurants in Sydney. I really love their fried dumplings with salad and also their mandoo. If you’re a fan of cold dish, I also recommend the cold noodle which is my favorite dish 🍜
Walked past this shop and saw a queue so I decided to give it a try. The steamed pork bun was made in store (you will see them being made) so the dough tastes very fresh. The filing is also very nice, and flavour is on the lighter side. So if you have big taste buds, you might want to try the kim chi version. Also the radish is yummy!
The dumplings here are so authentic and delicious. They handmake them and steam them when you order, so the dumpling skin is nice and juicy and springy and moist. I'm getting so hungry thinking about this geez and the noodles here omg seriously the best naengmyon place ever like hands down. The hot noodle dish is so good too, their broth is so clean but rich with deep flavours it's so hard to explain, clean but rich know what I mean? It's just perfect.
I’ve been to this place twice! I just loved it so much. Got the beef noodles, pork and kimchi dumplings and prawn dumplings.
They’re all very tasty and perfect for a cold/rainy weather! I will definitely be back here!
This place is literally my go-to for lunch and dinner. The best dumplings ever; regarding my preference.
Definitely recommend;

- Pork and Kimchi Dumplings (5 per serv)
- Mixed Dumpling Soup (4 dump)
- Beef Bone Soup (Beef, noodles, garnishes) kimchi side dish.
Those are my favourite choices to get.
