Small friendly cafe located next to the station, this cafe looks old but it has a positive atmosthere. The place was really quiet in the morning and it kinda feels like home. Even though the staff did not speak to us, they smiled and we felt welcomed as they made us more comfortable.
Made my morning with their good coffee! Must try if your in the area! Perfect while waiting for my bus. Keep up the good work guys!
Looks like they're under a new management; they have much better coffee available now. Delicious chicken mayo sandwich too. Small tidy place near the station in quieter half of Strathfield.
Had breakfast today. Ok coffee. Banana bread was lovely. But a tad expensive paying 18 dollars for basic breakfast for two. Service was just fine. I'd go back.
I am giving this place that extra '.5' because of the exceptional service. I went on Tuesday with my boyfriend and it just the one Korean lady (don't worry she speaks good English) in store by herself taking care the orders, preparing the food and pretty much doing everything. We ordered two jumbo burgers and two chocolate frappes.
We waited patiently for our food, knowing that it was just her on her own. The chocolate frappes tasted average, but the burger tasted so heavnly. It was packed with a variety of ingredients, and presented nicely to us. Because of the burgers massive size, we were given cutlery but it was still a struggle trying to cut it. The menu is a bit on the pricey side, but I would defintely recommend trying the jumbo burger because you just can't beat it!
The service here was fantastic. A simple coffee and toast and a seat outside the busy hub of Strathfield. It was the continued acknowledgement that was nice at this little cafe. If you are looking for a quiet place for a coffee then this location is not your place as it is situated in a busy area nearby the train station and roundabout
Amazing almond cappuccino and nice breakfast there. Friendly service and I highly recommended this lil café.
I've been trying to find a really good coffee place in Strathfield. This is now going to be my go to place. Great coffee, and staff were really friendly.

Monkey House Cafe used to be one of my local cafes which I never ended up visiting despite living close to the train station for over two years. For some reason I never ventured to the parts that shall be called the other side of the train station. Recently I stopped by here on a Sunday morning as I was passing by so decided to write a review for it.
The cafe as I mention is located on the more residential side of the Strathfield train station. It's very convenient to get to if you live close by, leaving or arriving at the station. Parking here even on a Sunday can be challenging though as the rear to curb parking must be paid regardless of when you park there so you may need to park one of two blocks away to get here. There are a few tables inside and outside. It's actually really compact inside with the kitchen not being very deep. I wonder how they manage to do it all. The price are really decent too although the meals are more simple items which still looks good and filling.
I ordered a large latte. By golly it was beautiful made with an elegant swan like creature on top of a leaf. It was a very clean and distinct art. The latte art/foam degradation test was passed with flying colors as per my picture, the foam and art survived until the final sip! This is a perfect rating across the board. The taste was very silky and smooth. Why did I only find this place now?!?!
Big claim but... I hereby name this place as the best place to get a latte in the whole inner west Sydney area. I can't imagine finding any other place better. I used to go to Chefs pallette regularly before moving to Maldini as they had better coffee and cheaper and also did AMEX. Unfortunately Maldini is now $4.50 for a large. Monkey Cafe is now the cheapest and best place to go for coffee in Strathfield.
My only feedback is to ensure you serve water at the same time as the coffee as you get thirsty. I had to get up myself a couple of times just to refill my cup. This will greatly improve the experience as most place offer this experience, especially Maldini and Chefs Pallette.
I love this place. The Almond Croissant are Amazing! The baristas are really friendly. The coffee here is phenomenal, I love the beans that they use and you can even purchase some to take home. The location is perfect. Monkey house is close to the station. Nice service and tables outside. A very relaxing experience!! I'll be back!!!!

I’ve been having my single O coffee ☕️ cuppa, beans & grounds from this house since 2018. The staff are very kind. They’re never out of stock. The promo & discounts keep coming :D - I wish though they stay open till late.
Great duo that run the cafe. Always a great experience. Both milk coffee or filtered are a delight. Highly recommend.
