Been there for several times. Their foods and the place itself make me feel like enjoying a normal family meal at a friend’s house. Not surprisingly amazing, but comfortable and relax. There was once (years ago) the boss even cooked a bowl of rice with our unfinished hotpot at our table for us. It was so delicious and unforgettable!
Friendly service and the food was enjoyable! ☺️
Great side dishes (9 or 10 different varieties), portion sizes are good and food is nice and hot when served.
They have the best soup ever. It’s just the perfect amount of ingredients in the soup, JUST PERFECT ! I can’t wait to try other food !!!
Ceci is my usual joint for KBBQ and Korean food!
The marinated ribs are one of the best I’ve had and we always get the set menu for KBBQ! It always fills up our tummies. I gave the rating a 4 stars because there is no consistency in the quantity of the meat - some days we are given less but other days we are given more. On top of that, we always order the fried chicken wings and we always ask for the sauce on the side - and it’s super yummy, crispness of the chicken is good! The owner is super nice and always accommodating us. When I eat there, we are always taken care of. I really recommend this place!
My fave korean bbq in Strathfield. Staff are polite and accommodating. We come to this resto once a month to satisfy our korean bbq craving!
This is a pretty good Korean restaurant with delicious food served in very large portions for its price. The bibimbap was really good and if you like cheese, then the cheese egg roll and the corn cheese are must orders. The seafood pancake was also very crispy and good.
The best customer service ever!! The price is so cheap for the amount and quality you get. Cecil is my usual place to eat with friends either for lunch or late dinners, and they always want to come back for more because the vibes and food is top notch! Waiters and behind the bar staff are so upbeat and polite 🥰
We went there around 1pm on a weekday and it was relatively empty considering it was lunch time. Good amount of side dishes and very friendly staff. We ordered the japchae and soy chicken (half - approx 6 pieces for $18), which was extremely filling between the two of us.
Small restaurant located in the 💓 of Strathfield, the place is small but we had a great experience dining in the place. The staff was friendly, was supprised that they hired non Korean waitress, this allows diversity. The owner assist us with cooking the meal and he was very friendly.
The food was great, specially the spicy chicken was spot on. Recommend to get the BBQ, it's pretty affordable specially when you are in a group. We spend 160 for everything and we couldn't finished everything. This place is awesome for value and experience.
Recommend to dine again!!
I havent tried the bbq here but the jajameyon is delicious!!! The ambiance is really warm and cozy and feels very relaxed and the customer service is excellent
Super friendly service, big portions, good prices, what more can I say? The japchae noodles had a good bite to it and the seafood pancake had heaps of seafood and a nice crunch on the sides. Chicken was also tender but crispy. So many side dishes as well, my favourite being the sweet potato .
We went in while it was quiet, just after the lunch rush. Service was alright, but a little slow and not great. I ordered the rice cake with sweet potato noodles (beef) but found the rice cakes disappointing. I’d recommend ordering just the sweet potato noodles as they were really nice. The bibimbap was apparently good as well. I’d come again to try the bbq options.
its one of the restaurants that ive visited more than once. they have a generous amount of banchan servings & and the dishes came in generous amounts as well. Ive had the cheese egg roll, kimbap, yatchae pancake and cold noodles before, they all tasted great
Been here multiple times - it’s one of my fav Korean joints when I don’t feel like kbbq. Service and food are great, serving sizes are huge at affordable prices - what more could you want ?
Friendly waiter, good service, good food. Everything good, nothing is not good .good.good.good.good.good.good.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Pretty good late night feed, a large range of korean dishes and korean fusion dishes to choose from. And with an affordable never ending bowl of korean black bean noodles, my family and i were satisfied buck for buck.
Loved the food - everything was fresh and delicious. Portion size was great and the food arrived promptly. Side dishes were a great variety as well. The restaurant layout is authentic and clean. What I loved most was the restaurant staff - they came to check to constantly that everything was okay and even asked to make sure we were okay with having certain types of foods in our dishes. They were super friendly and smiley, it made it comfortable to be there. Will definitely go back again.
Food was definitely great! But there was only one worker serving everyone, and it was quite busy that day. So waiting for service took a while. But he walked around cooking the meat for us which was nice. I recommend their special chicken!
Late night feed for my man whom got me to eat a second dinner 😅
Came here to settle one of my fabulous late night cravings - FRIED RICE.
To my surprise, they had an omelette version similar to my mom's home cooling where she's write the children's names with tomato sauce!
It was a massive portion! Tasted so much like home cooking - none of that heavy drizzle of bad oils.
The fried dumplings also were tasty.
The side dishes, as with all Korean restaurants, were complimentary and to refill also. The waitstaff was attentive - really appreciated.
One thing that did scare me a bit was finding a black hair stuck in one of their menu sleeves. Hmmm, let's just hope the kitchen is hygienic!
very friendly and nice staff!!! the food here was really good & came out pretty quick except for the chicken. the place is warm and has nice decor, the music was good and the servings were good for the price.
We spun the zumato wheel and ended up here. The service was welcoming, attentive and friendly, very impressed they had both Cass and Heit available. We ordered the seafood pancake and of course the sweet and spicy chicken, both were excellent. The chilli sauce dumplings were a bit odd, the dumplings were quite nice but the sauce was gloopy.
Good price for the food quality and portion size. Tasty too. Very nice service. Lots of varieties of food.
Like the pancakes and sweet potato noodles, beef dishes in particular.

There are so many Korean restaurants in Strathfield and we always end up at Ceci. The owner is friendly and hilarious. He definitely tries his best to ensure that everyone has a great time. The condiments were delicious. We absolutely love the walnut jelly. The Seafood in the Seafood Pancake were fresh seafood (not frozen). The pork belly for the Barbeque was delicious. Love how they do all the cooking for you at the table and serve it to you in small pieces. The Chicken Ginseng soup was delicious and authentic. The Beef Bimbimbap was perfect to taste with the right ratio of beef, veg and rice. At some Korean barbeque restaurant, you get oily and sticky menus but never at Ceci. We have been here a few times and are always happy.
Love the vegetarian options and staff are very friendly. One of my favourites is the hot chilli rice cake with noodles and they give decent sizes. Food is also fairly cheap and i would come here often with my friends.
Ceci is an extremely popular Korean restaurant in Strathfield. It always seems so busy and to accomodate for this, the small restaurant is quite cramped with numerous tables and chairs. Despite this the service we receive is so friendly and welcoming, putting a big smile on all our faces! We ordered two stews and two plates of Korean fried chicken, both not the best but still delicious, hearty and generously portioned!
Opened till late hours and convenient location from the station. We tried the stir fried spicy pork, honey sweet potatoes and fried chicken. All were really good and tasty
Korean food is one of our favourite cuisines and Ceci now one of our favourite Korean restaurants. We ordered Jap Chae (Sweet Potato Noodles) and a Seafood Pancake to share between two. The serving portions were quite generous and, like any other Korean restaurant, came with side dishes - the honeyed butter potato being one of our favourites and so we asked for seconds! The noodles were delicious and full of flavour and the pancake was crispy and quite large in size! The waitress was friendly and it was an overall great experience. We'll be coming back soon for sure
Ceci is a nice little restaurant with a very homey decor fee which makes you automatically feel comfortable as you enter.
Side dishes provided were on par with any other Korean restaurant in Sydney.
Today we ordered fried chicken and beef & tofu soup (which included a free rice).
My initial thoughts of the chicken dish was that it was a bit small, however, upon tasting the chicken it was superb! One of the best Korean chicken dishes I've tasted so far!
The beef & tofu soup's presentation could have done with some work, however, just like the chicken tasted good.
Also quick and good customer service!
My partner and I do not live in the area or normally visit for eating. We were in the area by chance and thought we would try CeCi.
We were pleasantly surprised by the staff and Manager/Owner who were very helpful in recommending items from the menu based on our tastes. The staff also went out of their way to assist us during our meal (which included a fantastic suggestion to add sesame oil to the chilli paste).
The food recommended to us was delicious, however the staff that provided us exceptional customer service was a standout. This is the best customer service we have received in some time and we will be back.
Craving Korean BBQ yet again whilst in Strathfield and being spoilt for choice given the abundance of Korean BBQ restaurants in Strathfield, we decided on CeCi.
It was really busy when we got there with no available seats at the front of the restaurant, so we were seated up the back, which we didn't really mind.
As we are still on the search for Strathfield's best Korean BBQ and fried chicken, it isnt too hard to guess what we ordered.
The BBQ meat here was nice with the marinated meats being flavoursome. I just wish they hadn't cut the fat off of the pork belly as that is always the best part for us. The fried chicken was pretty average though and although nice other restaurants in Strathfield make it better. We also ordered bulgogi Kimbap to accompany our meal and although it tasted good, it was also quite average.
Service here was friendly but really slow. It took them a long time to get our food to us or bring us anything we requested but given how busy the restaurant was waitors had their hands full so i suppose the wait is understandable. Only thing that annoyed me about the service was they forgot to bring us our order of Kimchi pancake even though we asked them where it was a number of times. It never even arrived to the table and we just had it removed off of the bill at the end. Other than that we have no other complaints.
What stood out to me most about CeCi was the price. We paid $120 for 4 people which was very surprising (in a good way as we expected to pay almost double that). The cheap prices alone will make me come back again.
As always, Ceci doesn't disappoint when it comes to the Omelette rice. A dish that has quickly become a favourite of mine from Ceci. Service is fast and staff are helpful. Entrees were all served at the same time and the mains came out shortly afterwards.
Ceci is one of my go to Korean Restaurants in Strathfield.
Ive been here 3 times and i am not disappointed.
Bulgogi is yum, rice cake is delicious and the chilli fried chicken is top notch. Service is friendly and price is pretty good!
Its open late so its perfect for a late night dinner and drinks. Plus they have a back outdoorish area with blue lighting to chill and eat away from the families at peak dinner time.
I like CeCi, not only because the walls were pastel pink and the staff are friendly, but because they make some awesome soups that have lasted the test of time.
Over the years, they have updated their menus and brought in bbq, winter meals and more recently, cocktail sojus! What a time to be alive indeed.
Had their seafood and veggie soup, half original fried chicken and chestnut jelly. The soup was flavourful, jam packed with sea life and easily serves two. Fried chicken was crispy yet juicy but could do with a little more seasoning. Chestnut jelly on the other hand made for a great palate cleanser.
I am a fan of their winter chicken and potato stew as well as the cheese omelette. Servings are generous, prices reasonable and complimentary sides aplenty. Not a single reason not to go back!
Service was very quick, staff spoke good English, there was a lot of varieties and side dishes that I like such as the honey sweet potatoes.
Fairly good restaurant for KBBQ here, we got one of the combination sets to share between 5 people which was tasty. There's more seating at the back of house service is generally good. Will need to make another trip here soon.
When I use to live in Strathfield, this place was always buzzing and swamped with lines outside on Friday and Saturday night. I came back 3 years later, and even though it was a Tuesday night, the quality of the food and atmosphere still maintained (was a tiny bit quieter obviously haha). We got a seafood pancake, tofu chilli pot (soondubu?) and potato vermicelli beef salad. All up, it was really good, the kind of homey Korean food + experience you want to get. I haven't been back to the other Korean restaurants in the area, but I know this one will never disappoint.
One of the best kimchi jigaes in town (for me, at least). For BBQ, marinated pork ribs are a must have. Friends enjoyed their bibimbap as well. Will be back!
What's abundant in Strathfield, you asked? Korean Barbecue!!! And there more than a dozen places to choose from! This time around, we tried CeCi which is located right in the heart of Koreatown. Only a five-minute walk from the station. We ordered a mixed plate of barbecue and vegetable pancake. I love how the marinated beef ribs was surprisingly tasty! The rest of grill cuts were okay. The pancake was fine but I was a bit disappointed with the limited number of banchans. We were only given about five. :(
This is great place to have your first Korean
BBQ's. As they have good set of meat platters. I would recommended some mix
meats or just go with Beef and Chicken. Hot Pot isn’t great here, as they tend
to make their soup from the packets. However if you’re going for Korean BBQ's
is place is best Value+Service+Speed in all of Strathfield. I have been to
almost all the Korean restaurants in Strathfield, and would never regret dining
here.
Ceci is located along the main strip in Strathfield, a strip inundated with Korean restaurants so the competition is high. We come here on a Friday night and there's a wait, the restaurant (and its back room!) is completely full. While we wait outside, we examine the extensive menu stuck on the front glass window - it ranges from traditional Korean BBQ, to hot pots (both to be shared and individual), "korean teppanyaki" dishes, stone plates, noodle/rice dishes and a plethora of entrees. The menu spans several pages and we're a bit overwhelmed.
The three of us end up choosing a Number 48 (bulgolgi, baby octopus, veggie and noodle Korean teppanyaki), a chicken and ginseng soup, and for the BBQ, pork neck and marinated chicken. The waiter offers us the option of having our pork neck and chicken cooked inside the kitchen for us as we won't have room on our table - an option we accept without really knowing why... but then we find out. Our Korean teppanyaki, a mound of raw beef, octopus, cabbage and potato noodles sitting in a red sauce, is a huge tray that sits on a portable burner to bubble away. Our table is completely full once the rice and complimentary side dishes are brought out (bean sprouts, tofu, jelly-like squares... all delicious!) and we're immediately glad we don't also have raw trays of chicken and pork to contend with!
Instead, our marinated chicken and pork neck come out ready cooked and they're succulent, juicy and get gobbled up in seconds. The pork neck had a sweet, soy based sauce that had caramelised and was seriously just the best thing ever... combined with how tender the meat was... man it was so freaking yum!
The chicken and ginseng soup was solid, it had a whole baby chicken inside and the broth was actually pretty flavoursome despite looking quite bland - peppered with whole garlic cloves, quail eggs and a date. I was feeling a bit under the weather that night and genuinely felt like that chicken soup was healing me from the inside out, spoonful by spoonful - it tasted nutritious and this too was also polished off quite quickly.
The Korean teppanyaki was also absolutely delicious - the sauce was tangy and sweet, with a hit of spice to bring it to life but not so much that it overwhelms it. It coated and bound the beef, octopus and noodles wonderfully and I found myself going back for more and more helpings until I felt like I was about to pop!
Overall, definitely a yum dining experience. Service isn't the best - we found them to be a little abrupt and definitely not the friendliest, but would definitely recommend for the food.
The service in Ceci is super good all the time. It is my favorite Korea restaurant in Sydney. The food are so nice, the soup, the dishes... Everything is great in Ceci. I strongly recommend.
I Ate My Way Through
+4.5
I might as well try break the record and update this site with an astounding 4 posts in 1 day! So what if 2 of them have nothing to do with food? You may recall, that a couple of weeks back, I went through an obsession with Korean food. Kimchi, soups, fat
Big portions, beef bulgogi sukiyaki style hotpot came with potato noodles and veggies. Good service and great range in menu (many share as well as individual choices), a bit cheaper than the other surrounding Korean restaurants.
I have never seen any other Aussies here but we go all the time the food and service is awesome and its cheap as I love it.
Been to 3 other Koreans in the area and they can't compare
One of my favourite Korean places in Strathfield. This is one of the more consistent, home made cheaper korean places to eat in Strathfield.
Been a favourite since high school for the ice dessert to share with friends, to the dumplings, spare ribs and now the popular hot pot soups.
The staff have definitely gotten better with time, less forgetful, more responsive and better English.
It's very busy and a favourite amongst locals, if you dont know where to go in Strathfield for Korean - come here.
OH so squishy!!. These people work hard, they seem to be running around like headless chickens. We we put in the corner and we had to move for other people to get out of there seats!!
Food wise it was good, the food did come out at a reasonable rate but there wasnt much room on the table either to put everything
Ambience wise there isnt much but at least the place looks clean
Price wise, its what you expect to pay
OVerall i liked the food but its a bit squishy which puts me off
Tasty food and generous serving size!
The restaurant is rennovated more toward a Korean BBQ style. The food is delicious and serving size generous. The staff are quite friendly also. Love it!
I’ve been shopping around for many many many month Korean BBQ restaurants, by far this one is the best!!! Hospitality unmatched!!! Foood unmatched!!! Vibe unmatched!!! Definitely worth every minute every cent if I had more room in my stomach I would get more !!!
It was very good time here and a guy who served us was very respectful and helpful. 😋
Food were good too will love to visit again.
Customer service is always great here.
We never have to ask for refills and the cut of meat is always fresh.
Recommend this place especially on weekends.
Been here a few times now and have tried a few items on the menu. Good tasting food and great portions. Staff change the BBQ plate often while you're eating which is great!
The place can get very busy so have some patience when waiting in line or ordering, I've noticed people waiting for a table can get impatient. Most of the staff are friendly and they do their best!
