Food was incredible! The Wow Set was great, both the taste and price! Such good value, massive kimchi rice, mouthwatering chicken and the best ramen I have ever tasted! 100% recommend to everyone!!
MY FAVOURITE PLACE CHEAP AND AFFORDABLE DELICIOUS FOOD NEVER HAVE LET ME DOWN AND THEIR MASHED POTATO IS SO GOOD I ALWAYS ASK FOR SECONDS FRIENDLY STAFF AS WELL NEVER HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE
One of the best Korean restaurants I've been to. The staff are friendly and attentive. Wide range of food available. Opens until pretty late. Prices of food are good too, not overly expensive.
Great Korean food without the bbq.
Really enjoyed the spicy pork with rice. Their dishes are great value for money. And they have a big selection on soju!
Staff were lovely and attentive.
Take your lover, friends and family for delicious Korean food
Our favourite Korean restaurant. #75 on the menu is the best !! We just love the location. It’s kid friendly. Good beer n drinks collection. Very friendly staff too
prices were affordable and food tasted yummy as well. they also have a wide range of food choices which i like. had a pork katsu don last time and my friend had a kimchi jigae. both tasted really good with sufficient ingredients inside 👍🏼
The staff are all friendly and the food and drinks are very good. Even price are cheep. Willingness to Visit 500%. I love this place so much
The prices were mostly affordable for their serving sizes. Came as a group of 6 but the bill came out to under $150 despite us ordering almost 10 dishes. The food was very nice. Highly recommend the seafood pancake boneless fried chicken
Good food and quick service. Very friendly staff and the owner makes sure your experience and service is top notch. Amongst the many restaurants in Strathfield, this one is highly recommended!!
This restaurant is very clean and tidy!! There was good music as well as very friendly staff. Our waiter made sure everything was okay at all times. The kimchi soup here was so good!!! The egg soup and corn and cheese were delicious dishes too that came out quickly. The service here was fast and the prices were not too bad.
Beauty and the beast used to be really good but lately it's just not on par with it's usual standards (considering i've been a frequent diner here for many years).
Food here is cheap however for the immensely generous portion sizes they give. Every time i come here i over-order as there are so many things on the menu i enjoy and i can never just decide on one thing. People complain it's not very authentic for Korean food and it's too westernized, that never bothered me however.
If you dine here i recommend the potato noodles, kimchi jiggae, kimchi pancake, tonkatsu and kimchi fried rice. There are many things on their menu however these are a few of what i enjoy most. I particularly love their kimchi jiggae.
Really liked the place and sply the spicy chicken amazing, it took me back to my past where i was in Rome with loved one back in 2010 where we were enjoying spicy chicken from Chinese restaurant..
Service is fast and friendly and the food is good value. You could easily get more "authentic" and higher quality Korean food somewhere else in Strathfield, but Beauty and the Beast is convenient and does the job.
Wowed by the WoW deal on the outside, we decided to try it today. It comprises of Kama age aka JFC. Ramen chicken Katsu and Kim Chi fried rice.
The staff is very polite and the food came out timely.
The winner is the chicken Katsu ramen. The ramen is just perfect not too soft yet not too chewy. The Chicken Katsu is Devine, crunchy yet not too dry. portion is bigger than we expected which is great.
The Kama age comes second. You can eat most part of the chicken as most have been deboned. The flavour can be a bit stronger either with more sesame oil and or some cracked pepper.
The Kimchi Fried chicken is good but have tried better elsewhere. The portion can be made a bit bigger and should not only rely on Kimchi and Salad for garnish.
Bottom line; good food. Good service and great value
The food here is cheap, it tastes good.. The menu is westernised. I don't mind the twist, the portion sizes are pretty big. I recommend the potato noodles, they are probably one of my fav things on the menu. I also like the kimchi fried rice. and you do not have to wait long for the food.
Grabbed the lunch special for $10 at this korean/aussie fusion eatery. It was a good portion although the egg didn't have the same texture as the jap omurice, it was still a dish i would recommend.
Beauty and the Beast is a pretty decent korean restruarant! I've been here a couple of times and have had the hotpot and the spicy fried chicken. The staff are friendly and even though their english isn't that great if they see you require something theyll immediately come to help. The prices are decent and there is a lot of variety too. Would definitely eat here again :)
Reasonable place... It's not so bad... :). Wow, judging from the comments by the other reviewers, it seems they had a terrible experience here.
I had lunch here today, and I thought the place was reasonable. It felt like a fusion Korean/Jap restaurant, and they had $10 lunch specials, and the other items generally ranged from $10-18 (unless you get hotpot or set menu or something). I can't speak for ALL their food, but I enjoyed my pork katsu don (good size portion, and tasted fresh & crispy) as well as their sides.
Also, some comments said that the menu was misleading.... well, I don't know, because we ordered our food and our food was exactly as we expected from the menu so it was fine for us.
Ambience wise, well, they blasted a lot of JT songs on their TV! Lol. But it was spacious, seats were comfy, and had lots of natural light - good for chilling with friends. Service wise, the waiters came pretty promptly when you pressed the bell, and I was quite smiley/friendly with them, and they returned that friendliness as well :)
I quite enjoy this place and have been on several occasions. I've always been in groups and although it is pricey, splitting the bill has been no problem. Food comes in good servings and if you're ordering several dishes and sharing them, it usually is worth the price.
