My favourite Korean BBQ restaurant in Strathfield. There are a few K-BBQ joints in this area, but for me, Han Yang Galbi gets the top spot. The owner picks and prepares the meat, and then the chef beautifully marinates it. Pork ribs are great here so you must try them. They also have a wide range of side dishes, and they're generous portions as well. I give this place 4 bears

I have been to Hanyang for 4 years. This is where me and my boyfriend had our first date and this is also where we booked our wedding dinner. The staff there used to remember us every time we come to dine. The old staff was not there now (only the uncle left) but service is still as good as 4 years ago.
I love all their marinated meat and all the soups (braised beef short ribs soup is the best in Sydney). Side dishes including egg soup, marinated raw crab and corn (the 3 if you want more you have to pay) the rest is salad, kimchi, seaweed and a lots more depend on season and you can ask more for free. On our wedding night, they gave us extra crabs and corns at no charge. And the second round they gave even double the amount of crabs. Really appreciated! I have never been disappointed by Hanyang (just the q in the weekend is often long) from food quality to services.

Marinated chilli crab was a free side dish among with egg soup and butter corn which was a huge bonus. Pricing of the meals were average but I believe it was worth it given the quality and service.
Staff were very polite and hardworking, they made an effort so that all cooking and cutting of BBQ meat was -all done by them which is quite rare.
From all the kbbq’s I have been to, this one is definitely one to take note of!
Will definitely be returning here if I want good KBBQ eats and experiences.
Hanyang Galbi is nice place for Korean BBQ and they’re one of the few Korean BBQ restaurants that serve marinated chili crab as a side dish. I was disappointed they didn’t have Seoljungmae plum wine though.
This place makes me so happy! I have been to this restaurant at least 4-5 times in the past two months because the food and experience is so memorable.
I love that the sides dishes have a generous selection and I appreciate that the workers are attentive at cooking your food and helping you when you need something. This restaurant is always busy and for a good reason, so I would recommend booking to save you from waiting in line.

They have the best sides, freely available including steamed egg, cheesy corn and raw marinated crabs (my favourite).
Service here is great, wait staff constantly checking the meat and cooking and cutting it for you, topping up on sides.

Strathfield is so awash with all manner of Korean food outlets, it becomes difficult to tell them apart. But Hanyang Galbi stands out as one that’s clean, uses good quality ingredients, and is most friendly and welcoming. Delicious!
The best place for Korea bbq in Sydney so far. I have tried so many restaurants but still back to them for the goodie meat 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 highly recommend. Price is acceptable for many high quality of side dishes.

Korean BBQ is the perfect cuisine for the season and Hanyang Galbi is the perfect place to fulfill your appetite for it.
Tried their Marinated Pork Neck, Marinated Pork Ribs, Marinated Beef Ribs. There is one thing in common among all these dishes: Prime cuts, Perfectly marinated and perfectly cooked. Every single pieces are juicy, fresh and bursting with flavours. The fact that they cook it for us just to make sure there is no burnt or overcooked pieces makes us feel really appreciated. We can imagine how Korean Royals must have enjoyed these dishes centuries ago.
This place reminds us of the now defunct Arirang in Lidcombe almost identical even for the sauce. This place has better service IMHO. We were also pleasantly surprised with the extra side dishes such as Chilli infused crab claw and Korean style steam omellete. The latter is is deliberately prepared to cool down your throat.
To avoid disappointment we would recommend booking in advance. We definitely would.

Workers always voluntarily cook meat for you even when they are busy! Very fast and friendly staff. Though are not fluent in english, always try their best. Food comes out VERY FAST!!

It's so yummy. This is the best Korean restaurant in Strathfield area. I went to that restaurant a couple of times and they always provided good quality of foods especially BBQ and nice service with a reasonable price.
The service is lovely. They are helpful and attentive. My fav local kbbq place. They serve heaps of side dishes. We had a quick noodle and bibimbap and it was so cheap and quick. Love this place! Other times we go for the kbbq set and my favourite part is they help cook so the meat comes out just perfect.
Super delicious, I really enjoy the food in the restaurant. And it's the best Korean BBQ I've even been. Side dishes is extremely delicious. I recommend extra crab! Crab! Crab!
Good food, many meat variants available. Service was good. Portion size wouldn't beat all you can eat buffet though. 4 of us came, ordered for 4 people and we had to order more to be full.

Hanyang Galbi has become one of my favourite KBBQ places! It stands out from all the other places in Strathfield because of the unique side dishes (such as corn mayo, egg soup, raw crab in spicy sauce) and servers will cook the meat at your table for you. The meat platters are of high quality and my recommendation is to try the marinated pork ribs which are sweet, juicy and melt in your mouth goodness! We also ordered kimchi stew and spicy cold noodles which were also great!
Of all the BBQ places i've ever eaten at (both in Strathfield and elsewhere), Hanyang Galbi both my most frequented and go to place for BBQ.
They've got the best side dishes by far in comparison to many BBQ places i've visited as well as top notch customer services (they always cook for you unless you ask them not to). We mostly order the set A BBQ combination although i'm pretty sure we've ordered almost everything offered on their menu at some point. They also serve the best Korean cold noodles i've ever had. Nowhere else does those noodles better or even as good as this place. This place is pretty good value for money and will most definitely remain my go to place for Korean BBQ.
Really attentive service, constantly coming over to our table to check on the meat, and flipping the meat for us! Probably my favourite Korean BBQ in Sydney! Very friendly staff and so many side dishes to accompany your meal.
Ever since I've found out about this place I've never been anywhere else. I go probably atleast once a month now. They always have the best service by helping you cook and cut your meat. Food quality is great and I love the fact they provide you with egg stew and cream corn as your entrees for free!!

This was my first experience with Korean BBQ so it was a good chance for Hanyang Galbi to really shine and impress me with what they've got.
The ambience in the restaurant is rather relaxed and cosy if you're sitting inside. The furniture was all dark wood, smooth and shiny. The day that I visited was rather grey and there were minimal lights in the restaurant.
The hostess barely spoke to us apart from asking us if we wanted our meat cut up, however she was promptly brought us our order, set the table and cooked the meat well, coming to check on us when necessary.
Now getting to the food. Apart from the kimchi and meat itself, the banchan (side dishes) we're all foreign to me and although I was hesitant to try it, I gave almost everything a shot. I feel like the food was mediocre. Some things like the steamed egg or creamed corn were bland and there wasn't anything special about it. The meat itself was decent except I didn't feel like it suited the price, given the portion we were served.
Overall, it was a nice first experience but definitely nothing mind blowing. Would I go back again? I probably wouldn't choose to, however if a group of friends wanted to go there, I'd come along. I have yet to try other kbbq places so it's difficult for me to compare the standard of them but it didn't reach the hype kbbq is given lately.

A five star Korean BBQ! It serves free dishes with chill crab, such a taste! Cold noodles is different from any other restaurant that I ever been. We ordered the one with spicy sauce, but the noodle was not spicy at all, instead it had sweet and sour taste. It's a must-try dish, perfectly matched the meat. Speaking of the meat,hmmm, the marinaded pork is the best! I will definitely come back to this place again and again.

Never really venture across this side of strathfield for Korean BBQ, but wanted to try some place new. I've driven past this place so many times and it always seems to be busy.
We had the Korean BBQ and was seated outside the restaurant. Once you start to order, they bring out a series of side dishes. They had the usual side dishes you get elsewhere, but I was pleasantly surprised by the marinated chilli crab. Not a usual sighting :) we ended up ordering the marinated beef and the pork slices. The mains came out quickly, the flavour of the marinated beef was good.
The service seemed fine, they were helpful when we needed them to be.
Great side dishes(much above average), friendly and helpful Waiter. Our meal was 61 for 3 of us, however the staff kindlyberased the one dollar change to save me from coins troubles.
The Korean cold noodle soup is the best I've had! I've been to a lot of Korean places, this place is up there in quality. I enjoy the meat and side dishes here as well. Definitely a place to go to satisfy your Korean BBQ cravings!

Strathfield is packed with Korean bbq places and it's seriously hard to choose which place to dine at. There are like literally more than ten Korean bbq restaurants that are located in the same street and some of them are even located right next to each other. No wonder good old Statty smells like charcoal and meaty goodness all the time, haha.
Jokes aside, I usually go to Hanyang Galbi because they offer a good combination of food and service. If you're new to Korean bbq, then this is the place you should go to because it will truly set a magnificent first impression. I recommend you order the pork belly samgyupsal and beef galbi. Staff are quite generous and they will grill the meat for you so don't worry... but I like grilling my own meat because it adds more fun to the dining experience. Don't be shy! After grilling your meat, you should order some Korean dwaenjang bean stew or some spicy soon tofu stew, or perhaps some cold naengmyun buckwheat noodles. They also give you tonnes of side dishes and salads so you will be stuffed with food!
Most importantly, make sure you get some Korean drinks on the side like soju or cass beer. Makgeolli is brilliant too.
Went there tonight with friends and family. Was super lucky to get the last table(outdoor) before people lined up before the entrance. BBQ and free crab entree was so nice! We especially loved rib eye fillet, pork belly, and light rice wine, as it was getting dark and cold. Finally, lovely and helpful staff! :D
Amazing food with superb service! We went there on a week night and the whole restaurant was packed. Authentic Korean BBQ with reasonable prices. Great value for money. I def would recommend to everyone and for myself I'd definitely come back!!
