Morning brunch at the corner cafe had a real retro feel to it. I ordered the Mediterranean beans & veggie breakfast which was fine & nothing to complain about but nothing about the dishes was telling me to come back it was just ok in my book
At the Corner Cafe on Woodland there is great coffee and service! My eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon was delicious! I enjoyed my breakfast a lot ❤️👍🏻
Gorgeous cafe in Strathmore. The coffee is good, staff are lovely and I was extremely impressed with their baked goods and house made jams and conserves. I loved the house made Monte Carlo sandwiched between a thick layer of cream and their jam. Oh my, I wish I was eating it again.
Been here a couple of times. Friendly service. Love the woodland stack with potato rosti and egg. Also enjoyed the chai almond latte which was very fragrant.
Homely cute cafe. Coffee was OK, great home made treats (I had a chocolate quinoa nut bar) and so reasonably priced. Shout out to the staff they are lovely, especially the young waitress - enthused and willing teenage staff are pretty rare in the metro area from my experience.
Lovely indoor and street eating areas. Quality food. Home cooked and proper good. Great selection of sandwiches and cakes. Great friendly service.
Driven past this cafe so so many times. Stopped in yesterday. My friend devoured the steak mushroom brioche and I enjoyed what the waiter said was the most popular item on the menu the stack. Staff were very attentive. Will definitely be back.
Went to the corner cafe yesterday morning and left refreshed that a cafe in the area could provide a beautiful breakfast, because I’ve been struggling to find one. The Alisa’s Dukkah eggs was amazing, highly recommended!

An honest cafe that serves great food in a fantastic location.
I dont mind cafes that dont try to be something theyre not, the staff are friendly and the coffee blend is nice and strong, keep up the good work guys
Cute and cosy cafe with very lovely staff. We got seated right away and service was pretty quick.
As for the food. The mushroom and steak brioche was actually so damn good. Would buy that again for sure.
However the Mexican omelette was a bit of a let down. Eggs were really nice and fluffy but I really didn't enjoy the filling.
The missus thought her dish was decent, just lacking a little sitrus or something.
Overall, pretty happy with the experience.
Love love love this place! Service is excellent and the freekah salad is delicious 😍
Its a cute and cosy place to dine at and highly recommend 😁
Nice cafe. Fresh and well prepared food. Service a little slow and lack lustre. I would recommend the chef to add some gluten free and carb free options. Perhaps a soup of the day and a grain free salad. Freekah is still a gluten and not easily digested. Would recommend and will be back.
This was our first visit great coffee, lovely breakfast and very friendly and obliging staff. Good location with indoor & outdoor eating areas.
Excellent cafe that never disappoints, coffee is fantastic! Highly recommend the woodland stack for breakfast. Staff are always friendly and service is always good.
The Forkwit loves a good breakfast. This place has good breakfasts....in fact...the Forkwit would go as far as saying that this is one of THE best cafés he has been to. Great coffee and an amazing selection of breakfast items. Staff are friendly and down to earth. Highlight menu items are the claypot and the BRAT! The little Forkwits love the ricotta pancakes too..... nice work Corner Cafe....love your work.

Nothing to write home about. Menu looked promising, but a combination of bad plating and dull food was a disappointment. Fritters needed seasoning and was served with FAR too much rocket that also had no seasoning. Woodland stack looked good but the potato rosti was just potato mash. Sourdough bread was yummy. Coffees were also too cold.
One of the best coffees in the area. Their short black is spot on. Well made & full of flavour. Food for breakfast excellent. Would be good to see this lace morph into a wine bar after midday. Food good. Portions maybe a touch small for price. Otherwise would be a 5 for cafe like this. Try it!
If there is one thing I adore about this cafe, its the style that it brings to the tables. Ordered the lamb kofta, it was truly sensational. The taste was there and presentation brilliant. Great dips and fresh bread. Its quite a surprise really that a cafe is producing restaurant quality food and presentation. Price is a little, only a little above the norm. Not to worry because you get your $ worth. A healthy range of great dishes.
Customer service is very professional.
Sometimes you food comes quick sometimes its a wait although i don't mind because as said from the start, the style this cafe brings to the table is...
Perfect every time with lovely staff always willing to accommodate for dietary requirements and menu adjustments. Newer, bigger menu is a massive improvement from what was over a year ago!
A cute little local cafe with good coffee and good food. Staff are friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is homely and unpretentious. Always enjoy a coffee here.
Lucky to have this local !. Love the Bircher muesli for breakfast in the oversize Mason jar, love the Woodland Stack, great for meeting with my mum friends for coffees and breakfast. Great memories being made here, their vouchers make perfect xmas presents. Nice to relax with the paper and the view to the City. Service is always prompt from any of the staff and with a friendly greeting...! That's why I keep coming back.....
Been coming here for the last two years every weekend and can't find a better breakfast in melbourne!! Try the Alisa's dukkah eggs... Coffee is awesome as well.
Fantastic! Absolute must for breakfast. Coffee is excellent food, wise it has to be Woodland stack, toasted brat, avo smash w/ feta adding mushrooms and bacon always a winner! Staff are extremely friendly and always a busy and vibrant feel to the cafe.
Best cafe in the Strathmore area!. I cannot recommend this place highly enough! The staff are always friendly, the menu extensive and the food absolutely delicious without being pretentious or overpriced! My favourite is the Woodland stack and for a dessert either the Kid's pancake or carrot cake!
Great little cafe that does a great job of serving the local community. Don't expect 5 star service or premium ingredients - if you live locally and have been looking for an honest, quality cafe experience than this is it. Good coffee, smart menu and friendly faces.
Great Breaky!. What a cosy place this is! I had a cap. which was rich and gave me the boost I needed on a Saturday morning and the Woodland Stack which was delicious. All in all this is a good place to go.
Love the Woodland stack :)
Yummeeee. Food and coffee here is very nice. I have never been disappointed with the food or service. A big thumbs up from me. A cute crusty cafe and staff are great. Been a few times and will continually go back.
Came here for breakfast and it was very busy! Food was great and delivered relatively quickly considering the small kitchen and number of customers. Would definitely come back!
Had an awesome breakfast this morning, good food, good value, good service. Love the kids menu! Will be back
Homely. I love this place. I love the fact that the pots of tea and tea cups are so lovely- shows effort! This cafe is really homely and warm in the winter months!
Good coffee, great breakfast menu and relaxed atmosphere. Fit out is cute without being pretentious or cloyingly sweet. Has become the new favourite local.
My local!. As this cafe is my closest cafe I really wanted to like it. I've eaten in 3 times and takeaway at least 3 times.. Unfortunately I have been disappointed most times. They advertised a Mother's Day high tea which I couldn't pass up. I invited two friends and sadly we felt we wasted our money. We arrived at 3pm as requested and then waited an hour for any food to arrive. In that time we were offered a glass of champagne and nothing else. We asked a couple of times for our water to be topped up. We eventually got a cup of tea & the sweets at 4.30 which was given in last half an hour before it ended. We felt it was poorly managed. They do have a great selection of sweets. I think if I go again its coffee & cake for me only. Even for take away I've waited a long time. My recent take away visit involved me being told my coffees were made ages ago but none of the staff recognised me, despite me holding an extremely wriggly toddler and me giving them my name twice and asking after my coffees. Time to look for a new local I think!
Additional note: after sending the cafe my personal review, the manager responded promptly and invited us back for a complimentary breakfast. It was delicious. I have since been back a couple of times and have thoroughly enjoyed the food and service.
Went there for brunch and as I have a daughter with food intolerances they were so helpful and accommodating , great food and service will keep coming back
Nice atmosphere and friendly staff but they forgot about my coffee which was OK because I didn't get charged for it. Got a big breakfast and only got one rash of Bacon for an 18 dollar big breakfast. Apart from that it was not a bad place.
Lovely. Recommend this cafe for brunch - always greated with a smile & the food is fresh & delicious - not your standard eggs/bacon, it offers more & is just devine -
Been back here several times . The food is always great and the staff are very friendly . Have never had a bad experience 10/10 for a local cafe love it!
Great breakfast option. We come here often as we live locally, and always enjoy our meals. Service can be a little slow and it often gets very busy, but the food is always tasty and fresh. The homemade muffins and other goodies in their glass cabinet are worth trying on the way out - a delicious snack for later!
I love the corner cafe. It has great coffee, yummy food & a funky, friendly atmosphere. Service is sometimes slow though. I recommend the dukkah eggs. It's a big serve with lots of flavour.
Although nobody greeted us upon arrival it gave us lots of time to drool over the cold salad and focaccia selection. Atmosphere inviting and my daughter and I totally enjoyed our lunch. Definately be back! we'll find our way to the bright Art Deco interior lower floor eating area.
Love this place. Go there weekly with good coffee it's my second office. Lovely staff who don't mind me setting up my lap top to graze through the morn. Recommended meals include chorizo bean clay pot, fetta and dukka
poached eggs, or haloumi stack.
Decided to try this cute little corner cafe for a Sunday brunch, and was relatively pleased with the experience. The Bircher was absolutly delicious and perfectly sweet without being overly sickening. My mum ordered your basic eggs on toast, and said they were perfectly poached. There were a few things on the menu I wanted to try, such as the zucchini fritters with salmon, the woodland stack also sounded pretty tasty. The coffee wasn't anything to rave about, but my strong skinny cap still satisfied my caffeine craving. The service was a little slow, but once I dug into my Bircher I forgave the fact. Recommended.
Pricey but tasty. The Woodland Stack was delicious. It's expensive, but about expected for the area. Crazy busy on a Saturday morning, but worth it.
Great local hidden gem, always want to try everything on the menu but settled on the delicious Bircher! Substantial size, refreshing change to the area.
Love everything about this place! Delicious food! Love the bircher muesli and coffee too!
I was at the corner yesterday also. They were overwhelmed. Ive never seen it this busy im nor sire but they may have been understaffed We had a great meal. I had a brat and my partner had a steak sandwich. The brats are the best thing ever. The coffees are great. My partner sent his coffee back only cos it wasn't hot enough(and he likes it hott! . We waited longer than usual but it was worth it. Maybe they need to turn people away rather than disappoint them. Uploading a photo I took of the people waiting for a table. Maybe it's time to up the ante corner people so you can keep up. Well done so far!
What a hidden gem! Great coffee and food. Adorable interior. Fresh food and baked goods!
I had the woodland stack for breakfast and Thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was also very good will certainly return
Amazing service, amazing food, beautiful staff, great atmosphere! 11/10!! Love it!
Just a lovely, local cafe!. What I like - This lovely little local cafe serves honest food. It's simplicity is what makes it so special. The food is all made on the premises, lovely home-made cakes and biscuits and a menu full of flavoursome dishes. I enjoyed my Bircher Muesli, lightly spiced with cinnamon, slivers of apple, plump sultanas topped with creamy yoghurt and passionfruit. Actually, I had ordered the French Toast, but they didn't have the brioche they usually make it with, and I appreciated the waitress coming to tell me this and asking me if I still wanted it, but with white bread instead. Ms S enjoyed the Haloumi stack and we both enjoyed the carrot cake, which was light and moist without being too oily! Their Fairtrade Supreme coffee is consistently good too. I like the cosy atmosphere. It's warmly decorated, with 2 levels of seating, some bar stools near the counter if you've just popped in quickly, then down some stairs to a large communal table, some couches and small tables. It's really nicely done! And the menu's are great! They're made from pages from an old 'Gregory's' map. Fun to look at while waiting for your meal!
What I don't like - I missed out on the French Toast! But I will be back to try it!
Can't comment on - Items on the lunch menu, but the soups always sound tasty, especially when walking past on a cold, winters day!
