I live locally and have tried coffee from most places around the area and this place has the best, it’s always delicious and very consistent. The people are lovely and their food is very fresh, every morning I see it come straight out the oven and it looks and tastes amazing!!! 🤤
Almost walked past here as it looked a bit over crowded inside the tiny area. Luckily they had seating outside & there was a nice breeze going on. Coffee was almost $5 with the double shot in a small cup , but that is ok if the coffee tastes good, which it did. Was creamy with good strength & flavor & came out pretty quickly too.
Great fit-out with a welcoming feel and range of seating options (impressive for such a small space!). The cakes looked sensational and I'll be back to try them. My coffee was OK, but not outstanding, and $4 for a small (one shot) latte is on the pricey side.
Service was lovely. Opened the kitchen early for us. Servings were good. Coffee came out prompt and hot. No issue ordering side dishes. Cozy little cafe. Smashed avo came with hummus which wasn't on the menu- slightly disappointing seeing as though the bf doesn't like hummus. Would still recommend.
Down an arcade not far from Subiaco train station is lion and jaguar which is a cool little cafe that makes fantastic coffee at a great price it is my go to place when I'm in the area
Great place in Subiaco train area. Lovely staff. Interesting menu something for everyone. Single origin Burundi espresso presented well - excellent. Definitely a place to visit!
I was out of Perth for two weeks and didn't get to have decent coffee at all during my time away. Lion & Jaguar was my first coffee stop after returning. Such a cute little place and everything was superb!
I had the porridge, fragrant and tasty! Staff were awesome, pretty switched on.

Went back here for the first time in probably 2 years. Still the same nice vibe to the place 😎 Menu isn't that extensive. The coffee was great, very strong. We tried two variety of bagels - trout and cream cheese and turkey and jam. Both really good! Love the decor inside and outside 👌🏻👌🏻
Great Cafe in Subiaco Square.
Coffee is always very good, latte has a good strong coffee flavour (not milky and i never feel the need to go the long Mac). Traditional Mac is served with a small glass of sparkling water which is a really nice feature and not something that i have seen anywhere else.
Food wise their breakfast wrap of scrambled eggs (somehow come out in a wrap as creamy which is amazing), bacon and dukkah spiced hollandaise is amazing. The Forrest Mushrooms with poached egg is really good although used to be better with the whipped Feta (please bring that back!!). Also the porridge and bircher are both really nicely done.
Service wise honestly one of the nicest i have experienced in a long time, very homely feel to the place and the staff all seem to really enjoy being there which comes across.

From the time they took my order until I received my mocha..they gave me full satisfaction-efficient. Excellent customer service and good quality mocha too. I am one of their happy customer
Stopped by here whilst on the lookout for more food after an unsatisfying brunch. Lovely service. Lots of sweet and savoury options on display. There was a chocolate soufflé cake (GF) on display and by some extraterrestrial power I managed to resist it and got the salmon bagel instead. I was asked if I wanted it toasted and I declined (don't see the point in toasting fresh food). I didn't realise it had scrambled egg in it (can't say I've ever had cold scrambled egg) but it wasn't that strange. Divine fresh brown bagel. I doubt I'll be back in the area for a while but do recommend this place. It was fairly busy so must be popular. Friends had takeaway coffees and voted them "good" and "great".
This is a very nice and nice staff. Hot chocolate is the best! Since i am lactose intolerant i can not tell you how the cows milk one taste like. The soya milk hot chocolate is very chocolatey and vey mild in flavour when it comes to the soya milk. I love how they mix normal eggs and toast with somthing unique. If you are a vegatarian you have no trouble picking out stuff.

Lion & Jaguar have a unique African theme decor, really interesting. Wanted to buy something quick, I ordered Julie's Chicken & Pistachio Brioche, Flat White and Peach & Raspberry Almond Tart. Julie's Chicken & Pistachio was really good. It's got heaps of chicken drenched in mayo and mustard sauce plus greens. Flat white (Darkstar) was exceptional. It's really smooth, fragrant, perfect temperature and the Barista even make a pretty latte art for me. Peach & Raspberry Almond Tart was nice. I thought it'd be more on the crumbly side but actually it's more on moist side. Service was great, friendly staffs. They totally know what they are doing. I cant wait to go back and try other stuffs. Maybe freshly cooked breakfast next time and hopefully they'll have interesting cakes by then too!
Best Brioche Slider in town. Beautiful mug with great coffee. Enjoyed the food very much, with the casual atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. It made for a great day!

Great little café. Had a quick lunch and coffee here after a visit to the hospital. Service was friendly and quick. Food (toasted turkey brie and cranberry focaccia) and coffee (flat white) were good.
YUM YUM!. What a great little place. The Quinoa and Chickpea Falafels were amazing and the salad that came with it was light and refreshing! Delicious coffee too. It's great to come to a place that uses fresh ingredients to make delicious food that won't make you feel guilty! :)
Amazing breakfast and great coffee. Pleasant atmosphere which is getting even better as more people discover this place. My new favourite place to go for breakfast in Subi.

Bagels !!. rushing through subi train station i grabbed a bagel to go from lion and jaguar.
the bagel was rye with a good variety of seeds encrusted on the top and was filled with lashings of smoked salmon, capers and wafer thin sliced onions. to be honest i couldn't work out what the condiment was but it tasted divine. crunchy healthy lunch. next time will stop and ask what the ingredients are. oh, also tried a caramel slice, which was brilliant.

Jungle Theme. Out of the ashes of boulangerie comes the lion & jaguar ... the new layout looks great and can't wait to try the food here.

In Subiaco Square you’ll find the cafe that the whole jungle has been talking about. The decor is an overload of leopard print and green fronds, furry seats and wood as far as the eye can see. There’s a giant mural inside dominating the wall opposite the counter. We grabbed a menu and placed our order at the counter. The menu is different from your run of the mill cafe fare and makes for some interesting breakfast choices. We were looking forward to coffee when we saw it was roasted with Dark Star in Fremantle, but were ultimately disappointed. It didn’t have that much flavour and was borderline burnt, it really didn’t satisfy. The first dish we tried was the Hot Gonzales, cornbread served with salsa and balsamic whole roasted cherry tomato. It was a really interesting dish flavour-wise but there were a few things that needed work. The corn bread was a little dry and could have been moister. We found the tomatoes hard to eat whole and it would have been better were they halved or served in the salsa. With a little more work this would be a fantastic dish. We also tried the Palachinki, crepes with a cinnamon ricotta, sherry soaked raisins, orange and chocolate. There was a good balance between the crepe and the filling, the ricotta was hot and creamy and the burst of raisin. The chocolate was rich and satisfying but the orange really didn’t add anything, there wasn’t enough and the chocolate was too strong. This was a very satisfying dish, the flavours worked and the crepes were perfectly thin. This was an interesting and different breakfast option. The Lion and the Jaguar is something different for a breakfast in Subiaco, it’s not fancy and the decor is a little over the top, but there’s a certain charm to it to that we enjoyed.
