Been here twice for steak night. Reallt good value for money. $10 steak and chips. Service is prompt, friendly and food arrived quick. Steaks grilled just right and not overcooked. Wish they had more dessert options though.
Went to the Vic after I saw the specials advertised. Was so impressed with the staff, the $12 cheeseburger, general atmosphere despite it being packed and the drinks specials. It's not particularly close to my friends and I but we are now more then happy to pay the money on an uber a bit further away to enjoy great drink prices and an unpretentious vibe!

You get what you pay for. Awesome food, awesome beer at ridiculous prices & a complete set of Jerry Springer. (I have written a similar review for Trattoria Galetto). Everything is perfect and I think it's such a save in this economy, full points for doing such good to community at large. But you get the patrons to come with it. At Trattoria Galetto last night a table of 4 people behaved in such a uncivilised manner it was beyond belief. Our drinks prior to dinner was the same. Arrived at The Vic only to see some drunk kids throwing a broken phone across the road and being a nuisance. When inside things hadn't changed much. Loud, ill mannered people yelling at the top of their voices complaining why the bar was so busy and subsequent delay with their cheap pints. I urge Vic Hotel the somehow cater to the old loyal faithfuls who will stay behind once the $3.50 pints are over and contribute the bringing a decent enjoyable experience for everyone including fellow patrons and their staff. : )
Came here for a work Christmas lunch. We were greeted by the new owner who was lovely and accomodating to menu changes. I ordered the grilled fish with salad no chips- I was given chips and charged $9 for a salad of rocket leaves and Parmesan (i dont eat cheese and it was def no garden salad) had I of known I wouldn't have made that request. I didn't complain just paid and left. Wasn't bad but wasn't amazing.
New owners and a new lease of life. Had lunch there and ordered the rump. Cooked how I wanted it. The serve was very generous and filing. For $15 this is a great deal. Fair amount of choices as well. Must try the big burger very difficult to finish. It is huge.
Amazing food, friendly service and great atmosphere. The food is noteworthy. Fantastic presentation, always very tasty and high quality. Great variation in the menu. The head chef does a great job. Well worth a visit just to try the food.

Went for a team dinner on a Wednesday evening. The Vic has a relaxed atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. We had the garlic bread as a starter and it was delicious - loads of butter, nice and crispy, perfect. For main I ordered the quinoa salad with calamari on top. The calamari was lightly battered and really tasty but the salad was a bit of a let down. It was more a baby spinach salad with a handful of quinoa chucked through and some diced pumpkin and cherry tomatoes. There was no real flavour going on. Everyone else was very pleased with their meal though!
I went to The Vic last night for the first time with a group of friends and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food considering it's pub grub. We had the 5 entrees for $55 which were nicely presented and sufficient for the 8 of us. I had the Subi's Best Schnitty which was nice but after seeing the Thai Beef Salad and the Cajun Chicken Salad which my friends said was lovely I wished I'd had one of them as they looked amazing. Prices weren't too bad either, I would definitely go back there again.
Hmmm so the service isn't great however the food can sometimes be amazing. I love their subi Schnitty however each time I order from here the quality of the meals differ. But hit and miss but good for a pub meal
Had a great meal whilst staying in Subiaco. So good came back for dinner that night and lunch the next day. All the meals were very good but triple cheese chicken schnitzel were a fav served with excellent chips. Generous servings and really well priced Service was laid back and friendly and miraculously fast

Perfectly cooked steak. My husband and i visited The Vic on valentine day as we had visited before and had the steak which was cooked so well.
When we arrived for our 7pm booking the place was quite empty. We were seated straight away to a table outside which was in a lovely spot next to the garden. We sat down to find that our table had a wobble to it which my husband fixed.
Not long after we sat down our drink orders were taken and then on their arrival we ordered our meal of steak!
We did not wait long before our meals arrived once again cooked to perfection!
We started digging in and not long after the waiter arrived to ask how our meals were, whcih we replied perfect.
After we finished out meals we were asked if we we like more drinks or dessert which we declined.
The manager then walked around to all the tables and asked if everyone was happy with their meals and if they were having a good night. I would put this down to the venue being quite empty on this one night.
We had a lovely night filled with great food and will be visiting again soon
Still a Great Pub. Caught up with the cousins for a drink and meal before the footy, have not been to The Vic for about 9 months and still pretty good. Food was good a steak sandwich and a few beers. As you can imagine busy prior to the footy, staff really good and service prompt can't ask for more than that....price pretty good as well...
Excellent!. Second time we have been here now, both times the food was AMAZING! Well presented decent portion size and delicious. Beer is cheap, staff are really friendly too! Childrens menu is great too! See you again soon! :-)
Two new fans. We went there for the first time this evening for an early dinner and have nothing but good things to say. We ordered the seafood platter to share and were both stuffed by the end of it! All the seafood was lovely, fresh and well presented and came oit very fast, staff were friendly and efficient and we had no trouble using the entertainment book discount. Would recommend.
Good pub fare. Sat lunch. Good quality Portugese half chicken dish. Attention to detail, tasty and reasonably priced. Well kept beer (Little Creatures Pale Ale) and a nice ambience, not much more I could ask for.

Could not fit in a dessert,
But one of my friends had the Ice Cream Trio with Brandy Snap Basket, She did not like the Brandy Snap and I tried a little bit and it was bland, I think the Ice Cream would have been better in a Choc Pot, or the Basket covered with a bit of Choccy, now that would be to DIE FOR, so just a little suggestion Chef, not a problem really.
Everyone was VERY happy with their meals.

The lunch special on Thursdays is excellent value. Got a nice big piece of rump steak with sauce, salad and chips for $15. Everyone at the table was happy with it. Nice atmosphere in the outdoor section as well.
Had dinner here a few weeks ago. Knowing it was a corporate owned venue, my partner and I had low expectations. Weren't disappointed, staff were friendly and pleasant (yet clearly understaffed, as to be expected). Service lacked attentiveness - again to be expected when there were only two staff member in sight on a Tuesday night. Pea soup was yum, my parma was nice. All in all, far from the worst experience I've had. Good food and not overly expensive.

Hate to hate it.. Really does depend on what day and time you go for what kind of experience you'll have, unfortunately its not something you can call ahead and ask. I have found if you take the initiative to goto the bar and place you own order things run a lot smoother. Food i've never had a problem with but then again i do stick to the same order of chorizo and salmon salad (delicious) which is hard to get wrong. Good location and a definite winner over the subi hotel as far as I'm concerned.
Good Pub Grub. Used to be great,....but it is owned by Woolies now. Even still nice to go to Woolies have a cold beer and a steak sandwich. Everything great staff friendly.
Understaffed!!. Food was ok, one waiter on the floor... The manager was too busy wandering around not working, left one girl on the till and taking orders! Had to ask her for our wine after our mains had arrived (although can't blame her really considering she was so busy) felt sorry for her actually.
Food was quite nice, good selection, nice wine, lovely decor and atmosphere.
