Review Forest Byron Bay - Suffolk Park

Yum yum yum yum yum. When my mum and I stayed here we dined here one of the nights and wished we did it more often as it was absolutely delicious. The meat was so tender and flavourful it was everything you wanted and more. The staff was attentive but not too attentive. The wine list was great and the ambiance was gorgeous. The presentation of it all was also lovely. So so good! I’ll be back when I’m in byron next :)

This is a hatted restaurant so it was always going to be expensive (mains avgerage out at $40-$50, cocktails are around $19 ) however the food is delicious and has some pleasant, unique twists. The kangaroo, for example, was rolled in lavender which gave it a delicous, spicy flavour. Service was attentive and friendly. The cocktails were also delicous. The formal dining area is open air but undercover. There is also a poolside area that serves more casual fare (it still comes out of the same kitchen). Recomend to book in advance.

Stayed at the Byron for a couple of days and decided to try out the restaurant on Friday night but unfortunately had a really disappointing experience. Entrees took 30 minutes to get to the table and mains took an hour after eating the entrees. It’s important to mention that the restaurant was pretty empty! The food was okay, just one of the dishes was decent which was the special of the day. Desserts (lavender garden and chocolate cherry) were also very disappointing.

The setting is beautiful. Green and lush facing pool and trees. Staff friendly. Food fantastic. Surprise is cost is not that much more than other Byron restaurants. Love this place

I had the 300g steak. The chef very kindly offered to exchange the mash potatoes for some fried chats as I am lactose intolerant. The steak was perfectly mid-rare with a nice jus and the potato's were crispy and delicious. Very pleased

Food is great but definitely lacking a vibe. Went for lunch and there was no music, felt awkward sitting in silence. Would be such an awesome place if there was more of a vibe!

Set in a beautiful location with outside dining. Enjoyable and really helpful wait staff. Meals where on time and flavoursome. A nice place to enjoy a relaxing drink as well.

We had two wonderful nights at Byron at Byron. We stayed in the rivergum rooms that had a beautiful private view over the Forrest. We had drinks by the pool, wonderful buffet brekky, and the staff were engaging, polite and helpful. We will definitely be coming back. Thanks John and Lyn!

This resort is amazing. So peaceful with lots of options like a rainforest walk or bike riding around Byron bay. The buffet breakfast is delicious and the restaurant for lunch and dinner is also excellent. There are shuttle buses into town 3 times a day if u don't want to hire a car. The service is great with 24 hour reception access. I recommend Byron at Byron Resort and Spa to everyone including families and couples.

This resort is amazing! I just had 3 nights here with my mum and we were so impressed. The staff are all so nice and friendly, some of the best service I have seen. The grounds, pool and rooms are so beautiful I wish we could have stayed longer. The breakfast and meals are delicious so we ended up eating at the resort most of the time. The spa is beautiful and our massages were amazing. Being 30 weeks pregnant I had the pregnancy one and it was just what I needed. Can't wait to bring my husband here. Loved it!

This review is just about the restaurant: SERIOUSLY - Byron at Byron? I am still in shock about this horrible dining experience. The place is awesome, but drinks - a totally bored "bar keeper" was making cocktails so nooooot ambitious, like she was hating her job, and so tasted the cocktail - and food (the worst risotto I have ever eaten, so average, that it hurts for this price!) were an absolute no-go for such a high aiming and expensive place like this. Parts of the wait stuff looked and behaved like working at a cheap food chain - yes, talking about the ones, you really fear to meet at such places - and at the end they didn't even ask about how everything was. NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!! I really cannot get, why such supposedly independent newspapers like the Byron Echo recommend this restaurant - to call this food average would be a big compliment. This is the first bad review, I have ever written, but I am truly disgusted to have paid $130 for such a bad experience! When I compare this to places like the absolutely amazing Halcyon House in Caba, which is worth every single cent, or Francisco's wonderful Barrio in the industrial, it is a slap in the face for all true food lovers. In shock, still.

The Byron at Byron has been such an amazing experience. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable in the most incredible setting. Surrounded by beautiful rainforest with gorgeous walks, what more could you want! The pool is wonderful and it's only a short walk to the beach. The food is top quality! The resort also has a great gym, spa and complimentary yoga. We recommend the Thursday Farmers Market Tour, followed by the dinner that night! The Byron at Byron has so much to offer, there is no need to venture beyond the complex. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

We spent 4 nights for our honeymoon and loved every minute! The setting is serene, staff were exceptional, restaurant served the best steak we'd ever eaten! And the Spa, an afternoon there was the highlight! Leaving feeling very relaxed and refreshed. Thanks to everyone at Byron at Byron for making our time so wonderful!

Beautiful relaxing place to stay for a couple of nights for our wedding anniversary. The spa is amazing had an hour relaxation couples massage and didn’t want it to end so relaxing. All the staff are friendly, helpful and attentive to your needs. Now back to reality!

The beautiful staff who are so so genuine and caring are I believe a reflection of the leadership team. My room is simply divine and everywhere within the resort the attention to detail is stunning. Aside from all this is the amazing rainforest, beach and sounds of nature. I’ve travelled the world and I’m happy to say I love this place.

Really nice quality treehouse type suites ,set in a rainforest environment with wooden path strolling through lush forest , the access to the beach is amazing . The beech is one of the best I’ve seen and hardly any people on it and this is peak season , staff are friendly and warm very helpful , rooms are clean and have everything you need even a washing machine and kitchen . Style and substance highly recommend.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Our room was amazing, the staff we lovely and so helpful and friendly, easy to park our hire car and nice central location. Would definitely stay again.

Loved the resort. Cleverly designed rooms that were super spacious and cosy (even had kitchenette/microwave etc). Service was v inconsistent though which was disappointing. Food for room service was extraordinarily ordinary.

I felt like I was tucked away in a Central American bungalow during my stay at the Byron! I went to the farmer's market with their chef and took an incredibly relaxing morning yoga class during my stay––both highly recommended. My only regret is not staying another night!

I stayed for three nights. After ready on the Internet about the resort and the inclusions in the room, I was disappointed there was no bathrobe in the room. When I rang reception I was told my room was only a standard room and as such did not include a bathrobe. I had gone with a group of over 40 people and asking the other members who all had rooms identical to mine, I was told they all had bathrobes in their rooms. I rang again to enquire about a bathrobe and again was told my room did not include a bathrobe. After telling them all the others in the group had them they did bring me one. NOT HAPPY. Would not go back.
