The coffee is always consistently good at Goblin as is the service and the food. This morning I ordered the Reuben Sandwich and it hit the spot and very generous in terms of the filling. Probably too much corned beef would be my only complaint. #goblin
This cafe is one of a kind! I've been there once but i can't wait to go back!! I had the bacon and egg roll and wow it was amazing. I also had the wedges and they aren't your typical wedges they are so much better than ordinary wedges. The atmosphere is super chill and relaxing makes me love this cafe even more. The staff are super friendly too. I 100% recommend this cafe and i can't wait to go back :)
This place is great. The staff are absolutely excellent, the community feel is fantastic and the food is good. The coffee is the real clincher so it's always busy in the mornings, sometimes flat out, with people getting their morning brew. It's been around for six years and is still the hub of the northern side of Summer Hill station.
The best coffee (flat white) in Sydney. Very smooth coffee, go here for my daily coffee and have never ever had a bad one. Waitstaff are great blokes and are always happy to see you. Breakfast is pretty good too. Well worth the trip for the coffee alone
My favourite cafe in Sydney if nothing more than for their baked eggs and fantastic customer service. The first time it came out it was unfortunately slightly on the runnyside and not to be overly picky I did try to eat it .. unfortunately I am picky (haha sorry guys) and had to send it back with the ask they maybe just bake it a little longer. INSTEAD they went above and beyond in my books at least to remake the WHOLE DISH. Seriously thats good customer service. Will be back because it was super delicious. Oh and the coffee here is a winner too!

A modern & quaint cafe amongst a quiet, old shopping precinct. Impeccable service, with a smile & no hesitation to attend to customers needs š. The avocado, haloumi & egg breakfast brioche bun with with aioli - yum! Reasonably priced too š¤ø. This place is conveniently located opposite the train station & offers free wifi for those with never-ending strenuous essays š. The coffee is reasonable ā. I'd return.
We love Goblin. Yeah it's a bit grungy but that's part of the charm. The food is always enjoyable; huge portions and flavourful. Our faves are the Soul Bowl, Bruschetta and Spanish Eggs. Specials are always delicious. If I had to pick I'd say the staff could be a bit more attentive but we've never had a poor experience here.
Delicious smashed avocado. A huge serving, almost more than I could eat, piled high on the plate. A bit crowded the day I went, but still nice inside.

Consistently great coffee. Eliot really cares about quality and it shows. They've recently renovated in order to offer an evening cocktail bat foodie experience.
Definitely try the single origin coffee.

Love this little place, it has the best little back courtyard area which makes for a very relaxing meal and the food is great as well! The staff are also always very friendly :)
Local cafes sometimes tend to be the best cafes. Goblin Cafe at Summer Hill right by the train station is a little hidden gem serving up your typical brunch classics and awesome coffee.
Our second choice of the day was a more substantial item from the lunch menu. The delicious wagyu burger is your classic American style burger with extra bacon to go with it, deliciously unhealthy but oh so good. As expected the cafe has a great selection of coffees, teas and, smoothies, shakes and juices to choose from....
Best burger. The goblin burger is amazing, it has everything a burger should have! Ive tried Mary's burger and I think the goblin burger is better. I love the soft bun along with the fries. It's the perfect burger! I highly recommend it.

Goblin is aĀ little gem in Summer Hills. Itās only 2 mins drive/ 10mins walk from my house. We came here on a raining Sunday lunch time. Not so noisy as I was worried. Deco is cute and homey. I wonder if the food and the coffee and compete with the bustling cafe on the other side of the train station. We ordered the āSpanish breakfast in a panā which came as the baked eggs with chorizo, bacon, mushroom..etc. Very yummy and totally warm up the raining day. TheĀ sauce was richĀ in flavor so it was really enjoyable. However,Ā the start of the day is Ā their buttermilk hot cakesā . I didnāt look at the menu carefully but I think the version of our hot cakes were poached rhubarb and honeycomb. The hot cakes were sooo fluffy, and the taste was sweet but light and fresh. You can taste that they really use good ingredients. I always favor hot cakes with some fresh fruits on top, so I would love to have a bit strawberry..etc. But it was very good already! Oh, their coffee was also very good qualit
Although the pancakes sound good, and were recommended, today I need meat.

I want to gobble up Goblin. Goblin has been around for not long over a year now, and I've been a regular since they opened. To see how busy it tends to get on weekends (sometimes tricky to get a table if you come during the breakfast rush) is a testament to the dedication of the staff to providing amazing food and beautiful coffee. Watching the roses bloom in the garden while sipping a latte has to be one of my favourite past-times!

Met a friend for breakfast.. Really great food.. Not your usual boring cafe menu.. Some interesting and tasty stuff.. Definitely worth a try..
Food a little pricey (I'm a bit of a cheapskate), but quite tasty indeed. Had the scrambled eggs with tomato & goats cheese, & a coffee. Down to earth cafe, friendly service. Nice courtyard area. Was a just a bit chilly in the morning so we opted for a table inside.
Just moved to the area and thought we would check out the local for breakfast and so glad we did! This place ticked all the boxes. Delicious food and fantastic coffee! The service was friendly and fast and to top it off was very well priced. This place is a gem, will definitely be back.
Good food. We had the bacon and egg roll and the scrambled eggs with goats cheese and tomato. The food was great, really enjoyed it, ingredients were fresh and the eggs free range.
My first coffee was lovely, I asked for a hot coffee because of the other "luke warm" reviews and when it came it was of a hottish temperature.
My second take away coffee was a bit burnt and I could not drink it.
I would go there again for the food and to give the coffee another go (the burnt coffee could've been a one off).
All in all - Thumbs up.

Gobbling Goblin. Some might suggest this fabulous new cafe sits on the wrong side of the Summer Hill tracks, believe me, take a walk on the "wild" side it's worth the trip.
I LOVE a good breakfast and these guys really know what they're doing, scrambled eggs can be leathery, not here, soft, and buttery, the poached eggs were also just right.... given my rave reviews several friends have visited, again and AGAIN... it's a ripper, I can't get past breakfast but I have to say the lunches look equally delicious!

Goblin. Very good coffee and tasty, simple food for less $ than anywhere else in Summer Hill. And the best part - friendly staff who seem eager to get to know their regulars. I'll be back! :)
