Review Chilli Chilli Restaurant - Sunbury

Buffalo wings were really nice, salt and pepper calamari was nice and tender but the coating was a bit off, pie of the day was steak and mushroom it was nice, but the gravy was a bit plain.. good serving sizes, reasonably priced, great staff.

Edit: the Parma and fish & chips are excellent! Also, Jodee is the hardest working person in hospitality, and deserves a blinking big Xmas bonus!! 👍 This is a wonderful pub, with great food, beer* and service. Although we only had chips, the Fat boy chips are plentiful, extremely tasty, and dang hot 😁👍 (5/5). Beer - although a Carlton pub, thankfully there are other options than the Carlton Dry & Great Northern swill. There is London Pride and Guinness should you have a more sophisticated palette. And the service; friendly and engaging. A wonderful place, either inside or out, and certainly worth a visit 👍🍻

It was a Tuesday, bar wines offered weren’t local which was sad, no food till 5pm… it’s lost some charm BUT it is covid so understand and hope it is just for now…so we will return and hope it has found its soul again, as it was truly amazing precovid!!

The cafe has gone downhill fast :( I want my local to be the best but unfortunately new baristas cannot make coffee, prices have gone up (which is fine if the standard hasn’t dropped) $6.50 for stale rock hard kids biscuits gingerbread or characters. Pub and cocktails on Friday night, however, still superb, looking forward to restaurant reopening. Beautiful location and interior outdoor setting. Please train your baristas/coffee makers. Last two lattes were a cup of milk and a 50/50 foam and coffee. Kids hot choc was $6.

Had dinner in the front bar. The vibes are good but it always takes ages to get a drink. I ordered the porterhouse steak and it was extremely chewy, not enjoyable and tasted like cheap budget steak. Would encourage them to buy at the local butcher in Gisborne as their porterhouse steaks are always good quality and tender.

Baringo/The Whistle Stop Bar is the perfect spot for a relaxing drink in the sun. The food here is exceptional and always using fresh ingredients with plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans. Staff are friendly and always professional, even when they are busy. The best place to be in Gisborne by far.

The customer service was outstanding, the food delicious and the atmosphere very relaxing. Just what I needed thank you. A month later we had a date night, once again the customer service was amazing.
