A nice variety of dumplings. The ones I’ve tried are good but not amazing. I’ve only had dumplings here but I’ll have to try some of the other dishes next time.
really good food at prices cheaper than fast food, the dumplings are a treat especially the soup dumplings but for my household the soups are the real stars of the show especially if we are feeling under the weather they are a real pick me up.
Came on their anniversary day with 50% promo. Man the line was long and waited roughly 1.25 hours but it was well worth as we ordered a heap ton of items. The favorite was their dry chicken garlic noodle - very flavourful and full of garlic. So if you don’t like garlic might want to pass. Their dumplings surprisingly came in lots of 10s. So we over ordered and had heaps of left overs. The dumplings were solid but due to the crazy scale of the event, I think quality of pan frying was not as good as usual. But well worth for 50 off!!
Great value for money! Cosy, hip, atmosphere. There were choices to satisfy everyone even my vege-loving husband. The shallot pancake was outstanding. The dumplings were good portions, but unfortunately lacking in flavour for us. However with all the condiments it tasted pretty good still. We left happy and full.

Walking in at 11.45am Kan Do and I have beaten the lunchtime crowd to our favourite table. KD asks me to place the order and I oblige with my favourite dishes.
* Cumin Lamb Ribs ($8.80) are perfectly seasoned and grilled. The Cumin is not overpowering and the meat is so tender. I was tempted to order a second plate. The best Cumin Lamb Ribs in Brisbane!
* Chicken in Chilli Oil ($8) is a deboned poached Chicken Merryland, garnished with cut Shallots and dried Chilli drizzled with Chilli Oil. This fresh Chicken is perfectly poached as it is tender and tasty.
* Pan Fried Pork Dumplings ($10.80) are good and nothing special as they are available in dozens of Brisbane restaurants.
* Xiao Long Bao ($8.80) are nice with a tasty broth in the dumpling. Again, they are available in many restaurants.
* Shallot Pancake ($5) looks appetising until I take a closer look. The slices are crisp and chewy but are excessively oily!
We enjoyed our lunch and will return to try more items on the menu. Thank you guys!
Loved, loved, loved the meal my partner and I shared a Little Red Dumpling located at Pinelands Plaza. We shared the Pork and Chive Pancakes, Braised Beef Noodle Soup, Pan-fried Wagyu Bun and the Pan-fried Pork Dumplings. Could not fault the food at all! Everything was delicious! My favourite of the meal was the Braised Beef Noodle Soup, the flavour was fantastic and the beef falling apart. So glad I finally tried this place after years walking past.
Went to Little Red Dumpling to feed my daughters after school. Something came up and we had to leave in a hurry. The staff kindly packed all the food for us to takeaway. The Prawn Dumplings were delicious.
I found myself looking for something to eat at the pineland shopping centre and decided to give this place a try.
Upon entering I was promptly greeted by the staff who quickly brought us menus and helped us to check if the items we wanted were indeed vegan.
We ended ordering the vegetable dumplings, stir fried veggies and the chive pancake.
The dumplings had a lot of flavour to it (I've had a lot of boring vegetable dumplings before) and the right amount of seasoning to it. would rate it 4 out of 5.
The chive pancake was probably my favorite of the night, dipped on the spicy dipping sauce that was provided together it was simply delicious. Would rate a 4.5 out of 5.
The stir fried vegetables tasted fresh and were cooked enough to be tender while not losing their texture. would rate it a 4 out of 5.
All the dishes were better than I was expecting and overall I was really happy with my meal and I would be happy to come back again if they had more options available.
Good place to go. Especially with local friends. Highly recommend lychee drinks ~ 口水鸡 is my favorite and always ordere 黄焖羊. It tased so good but you need to order many dishes to feel full.
The oolong tea was just beautiful - I need to find out which brand this is!
As for food, we didn't expect the portion sizes to be so large, try though we might to keep eating for sake of our taste buds, we couldn't finish. Luckily you can buy containers for 20c each to take left overs home (worth it!!)

This is one of my favourite places to eat. I always get the lamb ribs and the steamed pork dumplings. Definitely would recommend them! And on top of the good food, the staff are hilarious.
Nice oriental theme indoor decoration. Food was served fast and the price was reasonable. Very friendly and professional service staff. Nice dumplings and noodles. Would definitely back later. The chilli sauce on noodles taste oily and strange, the only lowlight.

Average and very limited menu but.... it is a dumpling bar after alll good service staff poor communication verbal skills price pretty damn good considering this area parking a nightmare after 6 pm!! Be warned about people driving they do not obey the road rules and I have been hit twice there already!! Otherwise I hope it stays open cute place most restaurants don't last there very long enjoy!!
At times it’s difficult to ascertain what is in the bun when not written in English though now I basically walk past it every 2 nd day I’m getting the hang of it, all my friends are really the fear factor is leaving @ThatSeriousGirl
Love these dumps!!! Great xiao long bao and a delish beef soup/stew with rice. Last but definitely not least is the chicken in chilli sauce. Its a regular place for us. I would recommend to anyone!!
Dumpling are nice but the noodle dishes are drenched in oil to an extent where I could no longer enjoy my meal. If you dine here I recommend staying away from the noodle dishes and just sticking with the dumplings.
Came here today just a little after 11 to try out the braised beef noodles and the chicken and prawn dumplings. I really enjoyed the noodles - they had a bit of the authentic qq consistency. The dumplings pastry too were of a similar texture and were packed full of flavour. I much preferred the chicken and prawn ones compared to the pork and chives I had the day before, which were quite salty and oily. Would definitely recommend coming here for a hearty winter meal!
I was disappointed as their isn't much variety and the price is a bit costly for portions. You can get better dumplings at a yumcha place. Decor is cold factory type of setting.
Awesome little dumpling place. Had the pork & chive dumplings, pan-fried with stir fry vegetables for entree. The veges were done in much garlic and maybe oyster sauce as well. Dumplings were generous and tasty as. Cool little fitout done on budget but effective and on-point. Dumplings and Beer are a winning combo. Easily pleased I guess.
Really amazing Xiao Long Bao and pan fried pork&chive dumplings! The Xiao Long Bao is pretty good, though not the best that I've ever had. But it's really worth it for the price. And the dumplings are dirt cheap!!! I'm definitely coming back!
Very busy on a Friday night, but great friendly service. Food came out in good time. Flavours in the dumplings were incredible, the bao was also excellent. Recommend!

Definitely one of our new favourite places to eat! Staff were friendly and efficient. The food was fresh and full of flavour. First time eating here and I ordered the braised beef noodles and loved it. My partner ordered the lamb ribs which had a dry spice on it, was pretty spicy but we like spice! He also ordered the streamed pork dumplings which were yummy with the chilli oil but next time I think we will try the fried. All and all was a good experience and we will definitely be going back.
I would come back here to try out the rest of the entrees because the chicken in chill sauce was tasty. As for dumplings, I would recommend pork and the dumplings to be pan fried instead of boiled because it adds another layer texture since I feel like it is more doughy than meat ratio wise.

Been hearing great things about little red dumpling for over a year now but never had the motivation to dine. Why you ask? Because my mum makes killer dumplings and nothing can beat it! Ok...that's enough emotions for one day...was there with my better half for Thursday lunch. Very hungry we were, so ordered braised beef noodle soup, chicken noodle soup, pan fried pork & chives dumpling and pan fried chicken & prawn dumplings to share.
First came the chicken noodle soup with pre-boiled chopped chicken pieces garnished with spring onions. The chicken itself is flavorless and quite dry, the noodle lacks character and was boiled way too long. The main disappointment was the "chicken soup" which was fairly much hot water with a spoon full of chinese chicken powder...how do i know this you may ask? The noodle came soo quick that residue of the chicken powder was still present on the side of the bowl... 1.5/5
The braised beef noodle soup came next with diced braised beef and spring onions. Beef was tender and flavored well. The noodle again lacks flavor and boiled too long. At this stage I need to point out the noodles are prepacked ones you can find in asian super markets. The soup on the other hand is disappointing, it is simply the powder chicken water with chilli oil. 2/5
Not a good start then...but hey we still have two dishes to look forward to. The pan fried pork & chives arrived 10min after the noodle soups. Initial presentation lacks the pan fried character (base of dumpling not brown enough) but as soon as you bite into one, things take a 180 degree turn. The pork dumping filling was juicy, meaty and marries very well with the chives. Surprisingly the filling contains small quantities of garlic which elevated the flavor profile. What a great dish! 4.5/5
With my spirits running high I ordered a Tsingtao Beer to pair with the goodies. Soon after, the pan fired chichen & prawn dumplings arrived. The dumplings were pan fried to perfection with right amount of "brown" at the base. The dumplings was again juicy with tender minced chicken and generous pieces of prawn. A bit of chilli oil & black vinegar dipping sauce adds another level of complexity to this dish. 4.5/5
Overall service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is modern with a chinese propaganda twist.
Hint: Stay away from noodles. Order their pan fried dumplings with beer. I personally find their boiled dumplings quite average. Don't drink and drive & be good to your mother ;-)
I love this place. The dumplings are always very well made with a wide selection. The soup noodles are a meal in itself with flavorful broth and well made noodles. The quirky drinks menu is worth a try too! Highly recommended
A modern age noodle and dumpling bar that exceeded my expectation. As my past Mainland Chinese noodle restaurant can be a hit and miss. I found their "Saliva Chicken" is very tasty. Nice bit of chilly but not exceedingly hot. The beef noodle was excellent! Good portion size with plenty of nicely raised beef in a nicely cooked broth. The XiaoLongBao was probably the only dish that didn't meet the expectation. But overall a good Main Land Chinese noodle bar that I would def go back again.
Cute little place nestled away in Pinelands. Love the over the top pop communist decor too. Food is overall quite good. The chicken-prawn dumplings and lamb coriander dumplings were both fairly tasty.
The lamb ribs with cummin seasoning was flavourful and enjoyable if you don't mind a little work getting the meat off the ribs.
Found the braised beef noodles a bit disappointing, probably because the meat was overcooked and the dish just seemed a tad too oily without enough flavour.
Overall a reasonably good experience, and at such a convenient location will be revisited.
Great place to get a good Dumpling fix.. cheap, plump and generous serves. The service could be better... our drinks came staggered and one juice took about 20 mins to arrive. But the place is packed, cozy and it's just the right setting to have a lot of dumplings!
To my tastes a dumpling house should have three things:
1) For circa $10 you should get slightly more dumplings than you reasonably need
2) The dumplings need to be made fresh (not frozen) and be delicious without any condiments
3) It should be served with sharp vinegar and hot chili oil you can drown them in anyway
I've tried to find a place in Brisbane which serves dumplings to which I'll return and I think I've finally found it. Little Red Dumpling meets all three of my criteria unlike so many other places in Brisbane which hit 1 or 2 at best. Very happy, will return. I was a little surprised as the place looks fancier than I'd normally afford, but it's the real deal.
To strike a comparison, I recently had the misfortune of paying $8 for 3 dumplings elsewhere. Pitiful. At another joint I was served up a dish of dumplings which were clearly from a packet. Horrible.

We were driving through the area when we saw this place going past in the traffic. We decided to turn around and give it a try. As you walk in, you are greeted by really friendly staff. The restaurant itself is small but really cute, also very clean. My boyfriend got the braised beef noodle soup which he really enjoyed; I tried it and would definitely order it if I ever go back, loved the flavour. I got the vegetarian dumplings and the xiao long bao. I really like the vegetarian dumplings. Usually vegetarian dumplings are either bland or dry but these were neither, packed full of fresh veggies and delicious flavour. The xiao long bao were okay but not great, I thought they were quite bland and lacked that delicious rich flavour they should have. The food here is quite good value for money and overall our dining experience was good and I would certainly go back, I just wouldn't bother with the xiao long bao again.
It's one of my favourite dumpling places. Real value for money. Some of the dishes like shallot pancake, chicken in chilli broth and lamb and coriander dumplings are to die for. The food is great but restaurant lacks proper experienced staff, i had issues with my order as well as the bill couple of times. The alcoholic beverages should have more variety.
Huge sizes, tasty dumplings. Value for money! $5 for a huge serving of crispy, chewy and well seasoned shallot pancakes and $10 for a bowlful of pan fried pork buns. Slightly disappointed the pork buns were mincy without that sticky filling but they were still very good. We also got some streamed vege dumplings and pan fried pork dumplings for $5 and $10 each. Cheap and tasty meal. *pancakes already half eaten in picture!

[09/10/16] We have been here multiple times now. They just keep getting better. Seriously guys...Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings ($10.80) are one of the best. Pastry was chewy. Seasoning was spot on. Braised Beef Spicy Noodle Soup ($10.80) was delicious. Mint lemonade ($5.50) tasted like a great Mojito and that's probably why I liked it a lot. Bumped up to my awesome 4.5 list.
¤The biggest issue we have about this place is despite the shop's name, XiaoLongBao ($6) was the real let down. As we suspected, they aren't made in house. However, we would give it 4.5 if we based this review just on other dishes we tried today.
The Lamb ribs with cumin salt ($8) were the best. Texture was beautiful with loads of flavour. Soft but still had enough chewiness for you to enjoy. Lightly crispy on the outside with a little bit of soft bone at the end. Chicken with chilli oil ($7) is also delicious. Perfect flavour with a touch of spicyness. Chicken and prawn wonton ($10.8) had good texture and perfect seasoning. The broth is quite light, typical chinese style as opposed to Japanese ramen broth which is much more intense. With a pot of tea ($3) that is enough for 4 people, the meal is complete. Thought it might be worth mentioning that they use T2's tea.
Prices were reasonable. We thought it was on the cheaper side. All in all, it was a great experience. As a reviewer suggested, stick to house's specialties as marked with a star on the menu. We will be back again to try more items and especially for that lamb ribs.
Little Red Dumpling in Sunnybank Hills is an interesting little place. We stumbled upon it when the place we had initially planned to go turned out to be closed for renovations. As it turned out on doing some searching later, it has actually appeared on some lists for good dumplings, so it was a fortuitous find.
Now our go-to dumpling restaurant on the south side! My personal favourites are the pan fried pork dumplings or the chicken and prawn steamed dumplings. You should also stick to the house specialities for the best options (denoted by stars on the menu).
Traditional dumplings were very good. We ordered the Xi'an long bao as entree and the pan-fried pork and beef+celery dumplings for main. The entree and pork were both very tasty but the beef wasn't of the same quality. It's a bit hard knowing how much to order for two, so we eventually also ordered the pork+chives too (very good). I recommend sticking to the popular items (marked with a star) and asking for the dumplings pan-fried rather than steamed.
Little Red Dumpling has a nice and spacious dining area with simple creative decor. Great place for a quick meal - it most likely being dumplings of it various kinds (pan-fried, steamed, or boiled).
Staff are helpful and attentive - service is acceptable. The food itself is average. Prices are probably considered cheaper of its kind.
The food is always the best here. I come here probably on a fortnightly basis. Some of the best dumplings I've had. I enjoy the lamb coriander dumplings and the dry minced chicken noodles. The service is alright but for a small, comfortable restaurant they do have incredible food.
Went to lunch here with the in laws and ordered a variety of dishes - several dumplings, beef and chicken noodle soups and also spicy lamb belly. The food was okay, I didn't leave gushing but it's not so bad that I wouldn't return. It's a cute little restaurant and the service was pretty good for an Asian place.

The only thing is there are very limited selections. Other than that, it is a place you should try at least once.
Partner brought me ten pork dumplings in a takeaway container to enjoy after work. The sauce was spicy salty sweet and flavoursome which paired perfectly with the juicy meaty dumplings.
The first time trying taiwanese noodles with beef brisket was in Melbourne at Taiwan cafe. Taste was delicious but the texture of the noodles brought the dish down. For some odd reason, I have cravings for this particular dish once in a while. I was explaining this to one of my girlfriends and she suggested Little red dumplings for that beef brisket noodles and also for obvious other menu items they serve.

A friend brought a coupon of all- you-can-eat deal for the weekly meeting. Only $55 for 4 people is quite a good go. I have been this dumpling bar for many times, cos dumpling is always my first choice when can't think of what to eat.
Pros: the texture of noodle has been improved a lot from last time I was here, chewy and perfectly cooked, really nice to go with the Chinese black vinegar. The dumpling served hot and juicy, I wish they could do frozen version for people like their product could have it at home anytime. Leek and pork dumpling is the high light of the night, should have had them at the first round.
Cons: They really need to consider about their soup base and source, they all taste like literally the same no matter it is chicken noodle, lamb noodle or beef noodle. Could not really tell the different. It is a bit shame cos you guys have really good noodle.
Suggestion: Please concern about the dipping source, currently it is quite boring. Only spicy oil and soy source and there is no room to customise our own source; some people enjoy hot and spicy one, some people might like to have the source with garlic flavor and some people prefer white vinegar only for their Chinese Ravioli. It cost a few but really could maximise the happiness of different customers, just a tiny source bar will do.
Overall, It is still a good licensed restaurant providing good atmosphere, but really need to think about diversification.
If I had to pick one cuisine to eat everyday for a year, without a single shred of doubt, it'd be dumplings. I could eat it three meals a day and not get sick of it so when Little red dumpling offered all you can eat dumplings for $30 (for two people), how could I resist?. The all you can eat deal was limited to dumplings and a couple of noodle dishes. Entrees and drinks were not included but with a couple of main sized noodle dishes and several choices of dumplings on offer with the option of having them either pan friend or steamed, I wasn't complaining.
Xiao long bao, dumplings and deep fried ice cream are great. Braised beef rice was a bit too salty for me. Ice milk tea very diluted, overall the food was good. The only thing was that they forgotten my pan fried dumplings order. Otherwise very happy.
One of the best Chinese restaurants in Brisbane. I recommend thoroughly and we are CHINESE. We were amazed at the excellent quality and the delicious food. The dumplings authentic, just wonderful. The fried ice cream is amazing! The Service was all smiles and we really like that too.

Simple but delicious!!. My partner and I love feasting on delicious Shanghai-style type dumplings, however there doesn't seem to be enough Shanghai dumpling places in Brisbane. The better ones we normally like require us to drive into the CBD for, like New Shanghai. I randomly came across Little Red Dumpling on a bloggers profile and found out it was in the local area, so my partner and I decided to try it out tonight. I was originally a bit hesitant because I had looked at the menu online and it only had limited selection of food choices, kind of reminded me of Harujuku Gyoza (which I didn't have a good experience with). Nonetheless, we headed there tonight and I left feeling so satisfied! It was a great choice. Service was friendly. Menu choices were simple, but tasted delicious! I guess also to mention the fact that decision making on what to have was made much easier.
The restaurant itself was nicely furnished and made dining feel casual but also with a nice atmosphere.
We ordered the Braised Beef Noodle Soup, and this one was the highlighted dish of the night. The soup base was so good. Slightly spicy from the chilli oil, but left our taste buds wanting to eat more.
We couldn't miss trying out a few dumplings to see if it was like the "Shanghai style" type dumplings. We ordered the pan fried dumplings & pork and chive dumplings as well as the "Xiao Long Bao" Pork Dumplings with hot broth (soup). All I can say is that this place is going to turn out to be a regular, especially since it's in the local neighborhood!
Enjoy Hip, Valley-style Chinese delights in the REAL Chinatown - Sunnybank. In a sea of same-same asian restaurants, you will be compelled to enter the striking Maoist decor of Little Red Dumpling. You would normally find stunning looking eateries like this only in The Valley. The owners have imagined a restaurant that appeals to both new Australians from China who crave the street food of their home, and Australians who are drawn to fashionably edgy ambience. However my cynical side begged the question: "What's the catch?" Ambience, food quality, or service... Pick only two, you rarely receive all three; but, I am pleased to say, you can have it all at Little Red Dumpling.

On first visit my experience wasn't that great - we laughed it off - but the staff were disorganised and the food was a mess - we excused it since it was their first night of being opened.
Fast forward a few weeks later I came back with a bunch of workmates and the food was delicious and the service was great. Way to redeemed themselves!
The dumpling skin was the right thickness, the pan fried dumplings were nicely crisped on the outside, mince were juicy.
We also tried the cold chicken in chilly broth which was quite flavoursome with bits of minced garlic and cut up spring onions. The savoury pancakes were also great and tasty.
We also ordered the wasabi prawns which I was hesitant since wasabi usually overpowers everything - but it was combined with light mayonnaise which made it a sweet spicy condiment to compliment the succulent prawns.
The xiao liang bao needs more soup in it, but still good.
Definitely a great casual hang out place with mates. Will come back to check out their rice and noodle dishes.

My parents and I had a lovely lunch at Little Red Dumpling. Good service is rare in Sunnybank and I'm pleased to say we had the nicest waitress I've ever seen in any Asian eatery. I enjoyed the food here, in particular the xiao long bao and pork dumplings. I can definitely see us becoming repeat customers.
