Amazing Food , atmospheres & staff.. 1st time patrons- the Chicken Costo D'Oro was heavenly... Our Daughters said the Pizza was the best they had ever had.. My Friend had the Lasagna which she said was amazing .. would definitely drive down from the north side of Brisbane just to eat here.. not only is the food to die for but the cocktails are awesome.. Road Trips from North Side will be a must... Thank you for such a wonderful dining experience.

The best Italian restaurant that we have ever eaten! Absolutely delicious, generous portions, reasonable price, no wonder they are always full every time we passed by.
We order:
1. Scaloppine Boscaiola
10/10 totally recommended. The veal is so tender, and their pink sauce is to die for!
2. Tortelinni Papalina
Pasta filled with meat, and delicious cream sauce with bacon and mushroom. This one is also 10/10 recommended.
3. Chocolate overload
A must for chocolate lover! 10/10 recommended!

The food was delicious and service prompt. We had the vegetarian fettuccine and octopus main. Both were delicious however needed a bit more seasoning. We enjoyed our night and will be back again.
The restaurant was a pleasant environment to be in. The restaurant is a great when it comes to the looks, and the service was fantastic. Everyone of the staff is very friendly and get along with their customers very well. The food was amazing but one slight issue of how big the portions were. As much as I loved my caeser salad, it was a bit of a struggle trying to finish it. Overall experience here was very pleasing.

This place was amazing - we had already tried their pizza and thought we'd try dining in before heading home. We all ate pasta, & were so satisfied after dinner. The portion sizes were ample, when we asked for chilli sauce, they brought out 3 different types..& they left the parmesan cheese on our table..overall, great food, the waiters were very attentive to our needs & we loved the decor of the venue - cozy. Will be back x

It's the most authentic Italian place I've eaten at, in Surfers Paradise. The Risotto con Pollo is a personal favourite of mine. The setup is very Italian, and they has outdoor covered seating too. It's a nice little place snuggled between two other restaurants, by the side of a nice, narrow road.
We read other reviews of this restaurant and decided to give it a try. We weren’t disappointed. Great service and great location. Food very authentic and lots to chose from.
The atmosphere was nice and the staff were really friendly and attended to our needs quickly. The homemade lasagna was really delicious, worth a try! We also ordered a large Capricciosa with anchovies. It was average but considered good if you love heavy tomato-based flavour and generous with toppings like olives and anchovies.
The price was really cheap because the food was 25% off all meals except for seafood and steak. I also believe prior to 3:30pm Mon-Fri majority of the meals are 1/2 price. However, please confirm with the shop for clarification as I only vaguely saw it.
Booking via Zomato was instant however I believe it’s due to non-holiday season hence why we were able to score a table so easily. Overall, I would come back here if we crave lasagna but pizza was an alright for us.

Was absolutely packed and I now know why. Had a pizza and the spaghetti marinara, heaps of seafood in the pasta and pizza was excellent. Service and atmosphere were great, would definitely be a local if we lived around here!

Pizzas were good, caprese was nice....could've eased off on the thick vinegar dressing...but still good and fresh.

Came here last night and had pretty high expectations. Garlic bread was nice (as it should be). I ordered the fettuccine d'oro entree size. I suppose we are in Surfers so the prices are going to be high. However it was a small serving so I was a little disappointed at that. Prawns were big and juicy but I thought the pasta sauce was quite flavourless. Had to put a lot of salt and pepper on the dish throughout the meal to really get a nice taste. Service was pretty good, no complaints there. Overall nice place with a nice ambient setting and food to match.

Feel like some great authentic Italian? This is the perfect place to satisfy anyone's pasta craving. The menu has great selection of meals which never seem to disappoint every time I come.
The pastas taste great as do the sauces which go along with them (it's always annoying when the sauce is a let down!). I've also tried some of their chicken dishes which have been flavoursome, juicy and tender. The bread entrées are fresh and tasty with their garlic bread being a personal favourite.
Only downfall I'd say would be their desserts. I tried their sticky date pudding and chocolate brownie. The pudding was light and fluffy but not particularly flavoursome; I think it would be better if it was denser and had more dates so the flavour would be richer. The brownie tasted more like a cake and didn't have that nice flaky top and gooey centre that a good brownie has.
It's lovely coming here with the polite Italian staff greeting and and serving you. They really add character to this restaurant and make it worthwhile coming here for a meal.
I went this restaurant with my mum. We just walk pass, and look for a casual meal. The garlic bread taste sooo good! The pasta and pizza were amazing as well! The service was even better! The waiters were so nice and friendly! Definitely come back again!

Best pizza we have ever had!! The pizza crust was perfectly cooked the experience as a whole was truly incredible!! Best service and best food I wanted to eat more and more as the food was just that incredible!!
Went here the other night and was served by wonderful wait staff. Boyfriend and I shared the bruschetta pizza which was very flavoursome due to a balsamic drizzle. We then had two pastas,both of which were great yet again.
We went back the following night and had pizzas, the marinara and the greek. Couldn't fault either. Good stuff guys!
My friends and I love it here. From what I remember I think they do some pretty good lunch deals to compete with the restaurants next door. The food is fresh, hot, tasty and great quality. I'd definitely recommend it if you're in the area.
Went there for lunch, chosing it because there was heaps of people compared to next door which had noone. All the staff were very friendly, food was delicious and with the food half price, it was an absolute bargain! Would happily pay full price for the food. And best of all, they had Fosters Lager! Happy days!

Almost great- strongly recommended. A fascinating place that reaches for greatness then bizarrely chooses to fall short.
Firstly the great- we went in with two toddlers early mid week evening and we had excellent attentive service from an army of wait staff who worked well around the kids needs. Our calamari entrée and pasta mains were delicious and the red wine by the glass decent.
We'd recommend you go for the food and the service.
Where the place falls short of greatness is in fixable things.... the parmesan for the pasta was the cheap and nasty shaker powder kind instead of nice shaven or flaked. The beer menu had 13 beers which were all essentially the same- boring sameish lagers which is criminal with a great craft brewery just down the road in burleigh... would it kill them to have one interesting beer?! The delicious calamari lacked pepper and had a forgettable tartar sauce which; with the apparent skill of the chefs, you'd think they could do better.
Lastly the kids pizza looked like the kind you get from the deep freezer in coles and cook in the oven, and tasted as good.
We think with a few tweaks this place could really knock your socks off. It's very good as is so go there

Great italian. Love this place, we went twice in one week,once with 3 of us and the second time there was 17 of us( had to bring my Abbruzzi friends) the food is consistently good and the service is great considering how busy this place is, there was not one meal that wasn't liked.... Sent more friends there the other night... Again 100% satisfaction. The one added delight..... The rolling video of places throughout Italy....so beautiful.

The place is BOOMING! Yet......
[Sorry i had to pause as some arrogant pig with a man purse just knocked a full jug of water on my lap without apology in such a rush to get to his seat....]
Ok back to it were was i?
So whilst Costa D'oro is absolutley booming and my lap is now as moist as a good pound cake from the ice cold dip in table water that just landed in my lap, the staff are just awesome!.
They 100% 'have it under control' everyone is getting quality 'family friendly service'.
If you have ever been to the Gold Coast you will know that friendly service is VERY hard to find in the BUT Costa D'oro has plenty.
Lets talk the food, because after all, thats why you are reading this!.
For entree we ordered the bruschetta pizza and the garlic prawns.
The bruschetta pizza was quite dry and under seasoned BUT the garlic prawns were ABSOLUTE PERFECTION.
Light and creamy with a punch of garlic on a bed of soft moist rice and cucumber salad.
As Oliver Twist once said "Excuse me sir, can i have more?" It was THAT good.
For mains we ordered the Scollappine Funghi (veal with mushroom) chicken parm and a supreme pizza (plus a few kids meals)
The Supreme was Great!!! It had Jalapeño's on it which ive never had before on a supreme, spicy but Yum!!
This is where i thought it was all about to go down hill....
It was over 15mins and the other mains had not arrived, the pizza was going cold whilst waiting but much to my surpise it was well worth the wait!
The Veal was much like the prawns light and creamy with a mushroom twist, every single bite of veal melted in my mouth.
Eating at a spot like this you cannot complain at staggered table service, i guesstimate that the place was 95% full and had around 120 hungry people at 8pm on a saturday night to serve so whilst i was getting frustrated, its is, simply un-avoidable.
After dinner i confronted the douche bag who spilt the water on me as i just dont let stuff go without getting square.
After giving him stick about his
"Man purse" and how i dont like being hit with female apparel the manager (possible owner) Michael over heard me and came and asked if i was ok and tried to apologise on this guys behalf.... Again this service is above and beyond what you 'should' expect in the Gold Coast.

Good food, good service. This place is great for some quick pasta. The food is tasty and main serving sizes are generous. They also have good discounts for afternoon and early evening diners

Booked online 30 mins before, with special instructions and our 4 kids. Arrived at a busy restaurant but were seated immediately. Service throughout was great. All 6 of us loved our pasta dishes but the pizza could have been better. Altogether it was a very enjoyable family experience and I would recommend going for the pasta - yum!

My wife had the scalopine Gamberi was very nice veal was cooked to perfection as where the king prawns as well the sauce was very nice as well
If I feel like good Italian and great service Cost D'oro wins again been eating here for 20 years food is always great service as well same guys still own it after all these years says a lot ifvyou want good Italian in surfers paradise its hard to go past this restaurant
Excellent service, excellent food.. Service - Busy saturday night, food was very prompt, despite being so busy. Italian waiters were extremely friendly and professional, and gave the place an authentic feel.
starters - kilpatrick oysters were fantastic! its hard to get good oysters anywhere these days, but they were fresh, well presented, generous amount of sauce and delicious.
main - seafood platter for one.....could have easily fed 2. Ive eaten seafood at pier 39 in san francisco and this was on par with there. amazing. couldnt finish it. will definitely be back.

We dined here tonight after we found out it was 20percent off if you order before 7. We got a large pizza half meat lovers half Greek. Both my husband and I found it to be really nice. The waiter who served us was really nice and the food and out quickly. We will return in the future.
