Review Seascape Restaurant And Bar - Surfers Paradise

We have been waiting for 2 years to be able to return to this magnificent venue for another wonderful culinery experience. We booked our Valentines dinner and we were not disappointed. The staff were attentive and made us feel special. The seafood was of the utmost quality and prepared with love. The cocktails were amazing and left us wanting more. I cannot wait to return......

Bit of a price tag but overall nice food and great atmosphere. We went for lunch and were seated outside with a nice beach view. Weird vibe from the waitress - she seemed a bit arrogant. Immediately blamed another waiter for a “messy” table although we couldn’t see anything wrong with it. Overall, she was nice to us but it made us a little uncomfortable as the first interaction we had was her blaming someone else. Prices for food and drinks were a little expensive but we really enjoyed the view and beach atmosphere. I was a little discouraged when the food arrived but it actually turned out being a lot more food than it looked. The salad was REALLY good. It was seasoned excellently with not too much dressing - probably the best side salad I have ever had. I got the fish and chips and my partner got the fisherman’s basket and we were both very full by the end of our meals.

I had a last minute work trip to the Gold Coast and was after some tasty seafood. The manager managed to squeeze me in upstairs in the restaurant, above their bistro dining. The ambience and views are lovely. The restaurant very popular, it quickly filled up. The staff were attentive and lovely. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. They were offering a 2 or 3 course à la carte menu with plenty of options to suit all. The tempura asparagus was a recommendation and was a highlight. My scallops cooked to perfection. Upstairs is perfect for that special dinner and the bistro was pumping with families ans casual diners.

I can't wait to bring my family back to this wonderful seafood paradise. I went with friends and we couldn't have enough of curry prawns, coconut rice, chowder and that warm freshly baked bread. The cocktails were refreshing too, the atmosphere so relaxing with the sea breeze and staff very friendly. What else could we ask for?

Me and my partner came here spontaneously on a night out and boy were we happy! The food was amazing - the lamb and calamari are a must try! The staff were very friendly and the views of the ocean from our table were something else 10/10 food 10/10 atmosphere Can’t wait to come back!

The foods and the cocktails does not match the price of it. I can list out all of the point that can support my point of view. For example, the deep fried calamari is so soggy and oily, and the risotto is oily lack of flavor plus overcooked. Also, the pasta is so spicy but lack of flavor and the pasta is swimming in oil ocean. Secondly, the cocktails tastes very chemical. I personally thought somebody served me out of the laboratory. Overall, the foods are extremely salty and oily and the drinks taste weird.( I don’t know how can u messed up cocktails, it’s really hard to taste like rubbish.) PLUS!!! Everything is overpriced!!! Don’t even think Gordon Ramsay could save this restaurant. I will never come back😉~

We went to Seascape tonight. We were a bit disappointed. For my wife’s birthday we got a lobster dish. The taste was lovely, but the portion was smaller than expected for the $70 price tag. Similarly, the grilled fish had a very small portion. We requested mashed potato instead of the standard chips, but they were unable to accommodate our request. Customer service wasn’t too bad.

Last night me and the wifey dined at the seascape bistro. With my missus being a foodie, we like to eat out and try various cuisines and in the last 11 years we have been to hundreds (if not thousands) of restaurants and cafes. Seascape blew them all out of the park, the food, the ambience, the service, the bartender, all top notch with a smile. Eddie, the manager there was excellent to chat to and fulfilled the responsibility of looking after his patrons when the waiters were busy. Plenty of laughs when you talk to him. The food: we ordered sashimi which came with Tuna, salmon and one more type of fish, the sauces that went with it and caviar were to die for. Fish was lean and fresh. Calamari and Prawns were also great, my wife Linh is a great critique of food, she picks up the slightest detail of what might be missing in the dish but not at seascape last night. So thank you guys for an excellent experience, I'd definitely recommend to anyone coming to the GC shores to try out Seascape.

Great food very quick service maybe too quick. All we tasted was delicious. Especially the calamari we ordered another serve. The sushi tasting platter was the best. The dessert was very nice too.

Dined in the bistro, seafood chowder and seafood tagliatelle.<br/>As a lover of good chowder this one was beautiful. Lovely chunks of fish and whole prawns, rich and creamy.<br/>The tagliatelle also was faultless, tasty and certainly plentiful. I counted nine prawns in mine along with the herb sauce and lumps of firm fish. Highly recommended. Loved it and will certainly be back.

Dined at their Bistro as it was for more casually dressed patrons while their restaurant was reserved for fine diners.<br/><br/>1/2 dozen Natural Oysters<br/>It came out fresh and was served with a buttery dill sauce.<br/><br/>Sashimi Plate<br/>It had a good variety of sides, I especially liked the addition of seaweed and Tobiko. However, the assortment of fish was disappointing as they don’t serve raw salmon as you’d expect on a sashimi platter. The kingfish and tuna weren’t as fresh either.<br/><br/>Fishermen’s Catch<br/>The beer battered fish had a crispy crunch and was seasoned perfectly. However, the fried squid was definitely a let down as you could tell from first bite that it had been frozen for a while. It was tasteless and soft as oppose to the juicy and chewy texture you get from fresh calamari/squid. The dish was accompanied by a uniquely made tartare sauce which you could use to give the seafood additional flavour. <br/><br/>Shellfish Tagliatelle Pasta <br/>The pasta had visible chunks of blue crab meat therefore allowing you to savor its seafood flavours. The large prawns also had that sweet and firm texture which you want. Our only criticism was that it was a little bland. <br/><br/>Overall rating: pleasant experience, the food was presented well with a slight room for improvement in taste.

Dined here tonight and I was absolutely blown away. Started with half a dozen oysters Kilpatrick shit were just perfect. Then had a small cold plate of prawns, bugs, scallops and natural oysters. This was just delicious and as fresh as can be. For main I had the fishermens catch with all the seafood fried in a very light and very crispy batter, once again very delicious. I finished off with a fantastic creme brulee and a coffee. Enjoyed a great conversation with Eddie the owner which topped off a fantastic evening. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Superb food and great service as well as a killer view. Well done guys

We had lunch there recently and couldn't make up our mind so tried a few plates. We had Garlic and Tempura Prawns, Calamari and the bread. It was all amazing would happily eat it all again and the experience was topped off with lovely staff and a fantastic view.

The view from this restaurant is amazing! Something about looking over surfers paradise beach while having lunch is so dreamy 🙂 <br/>Was a little let down by the food but was still a nice lunch out. The sashimi didn’t taste all too fresh, the wasabi perfect though! Garlic prawn 🦐 dish was yummy. Mushroom risotto was al dente and delicious! Lamb chops were flavoursome. Pork belly dish was yummy. Their cocktails were not very good in terms of balance in flavours. The service was very good. Great place with potential to be a hit! Just needs a few little tweaks. Would visit again to try other dishes on the menu.

We ordered the entree clam chowder and seafood fettuccine, both were really tasty with the seafood portions being very generous in both, the chowder was accompanied with a range of different condiments around the plate, including dried anchovies, which was very nice.

Worst food I have had in Gold Coast.. very bad service!! The pasta was very plain and the sauce was watery. The green lip mussel tasted like rubber.<br/>We ordered a small size shellfish platter and the waiter brought two platters and said we ordered two. Just don’t wanna go back again!<br/>Btw they don’t clean the prawn at all! Disgusting.

Just wow. We had the 5 course banquet in the fine dining area which featured oysters 2 ways, a seafood bouillabaisse, sashimi, scallops and barramundi. Every mouthful of food was amazing but especially the bouillabaisse (which I had never tried before and wasn’t sure I would like). The service was also of the highest standard and the pricing was probably mid-range compared to some other meals we had on our holiday. I actually can’t wait to go back.

Absolutely delicious food, and at excellent prices in the bistro. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Could not fault it at all! I can recommend the garlic prawns and fish tacos. Delicious!

Perfect spot overlooking the gorgeous Surfers Paradise beach. The service was fantastic and very attentive. Started with Tempura Prawns, very decent entree serve with 5 large prawns and the batter was light and crisp. For a main I had the Roasted Chicken Breast (maple glazed, spec colcannon, asparagus) all elements complemented each other and it was delicious! A new favourite on the Gold Coast!

We had lunch at the Bistro, overlooking the beautiful Surfers Paradise beachfront. The service was very friendly, welcoming and we honestly could not have wished for any better. The food was extremely delicious, portions were generous and the menu has so much to choose from. We had the Seafood Chowder which is superb. Absolutely to die for. The Salt and Pepper Calamari was delicious, main courses and deserts were mouthwatering. Highly recommended for casual dining and we will definitely be going back!

We dined in the bistro of Seascape - after perusing through the menus for both the restaurant and the bistro we felt the latter had more variety. We weren’t disappointed - there’s something for everyone from delicious snapper sliders (served with a hearty serve of crispy chips) to a comforting fish pie as well as seafood galore!

This is one of my favourite restaurants on the Gold Coast 😀 I always get the seafood bouillabaisse because it's so fresh and has a great variety of seafood and the portion is just right 😬 For desserts, we had the yuzu cheesecake and deconstructed matcha parfait super delicious and nice plating skills 👌🏻

We had such a great experience dining in the bistro here. We accidentally walked into the fine dining restaurant on the top floor and we mentioned we weren't looking for that sort of dinner so we were promptly shown around all their facilities (three restaurants on three floors with different styles and price ranges). We decided on the bistro for the great view of the ocean. The service was amazing, the food was amazing, the cocktails wee phenomenal. We really wanted to eat here again, but just didn't have enough time!

I was mean't to take my partner here for a beautiful evening I had planned as it was a special weekend for us. We actually missed our reservation I made 3 days in advanced because we accidentally went to The Hurricane's next door and they lead us to believe we were in the correct establishment even after giving them my first and last names. We had an awful experience with that situation. After dealing with the Manager of that Venue who actually took us in and seated us I went over the Seascape and apologised for missing my booking. The manager Foet (I think he said was his name) and his daughter Emily at the front booking reception were so beautiful, lovely and understanding. I was extremely upset after everything that had happened and they were extremely angry at the other restaurant. They were so caring and actually brought us in for a drink even though they were closing. We booked in for next Sunday and I can not wait to experience what we were mean't to. I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant for many many years to come and will be telling everyone about how amazing the staff are here and how very welcoming and kind they were to us. The highest rating on here is 5 stars but this does not do this restaurant justice.

Loved the view, but loved the food service more. My server was very helpful and attentive. Seafood was cooked fresh and nicely done, brûlée was worth all the sugar. Thank you!

FAULTLESS !! <br/>We recently had a weekend in surfers paradise and went for dinner here 2 out of the 3 nights we were there!! <br/>The service is great, views spectacular with a great wine/cocktail list and food that is spot on! 👌🏻<br/>Thankyou for a wonderful experience. We can't wait to come back! <br/>

We went here on Friday night 20 Jan 17. The service was amazing and the food we all had...... Well I would have to say was the best meal I've ever consumed. Seriously the scallops where mind blowing as was the bouillabaisse. The price most people would be put off but given the fact of the location overlooking the surf in Cavill ave and the most amazing dinning experience well worth every dollar spent. The four of us (including a chef) had the most enjoyable meal thank you so much.

Really nice place to come for lunch just to relax and have a good ocean view! The prices are a bit steep for the quantity, but I enjoyed my meal regardless. Good beer on tap as well.

Awesome place. Very accommodating and helpful. Seafood platter was beautiful and the creme brûlée was excellent. <br/>A great location overlooking the beach and excellent service from the wait staff. Enjoyed Morton bay bugs and tiger prawns. <br/>Good for people with food intolerances and allergies.

food quality first. view second. cannot help feeling i am paying top dollar for glorified fish and chips in a vogue setting. never again. service good at times. wine list commendable but not enough quality wines by the glass

Very disappointing food at level 1 bistro! Ordered the $120 seafood platter and come out with just few pieces of seafood and all the hot one did not taste good at all. Only prawn and bug were good. Not value of money and also poor quality of seafood. Worst ever seafood platter in my life and worst presentation too! Never again!

I was on a date wanting to impress a lovely woman from Brisbane and I am originally from Melbourne.... The service was excellent and friendly with just the right amount of interaction for fine dinning... The bottle of French wine we ordered had run out and they replaced the bottle from the same French vineyard that was 5 times the price and did not charge us extra... Highly recommended

Fantastic fine dining with beautiful views. Amazing food well presented. Beautiful quality. My family had the degustation seafood menu which everyone really enjoyed. Staff very helpful.

Amazing views and outstanding food and service. Casual atmosphere in the bistro and bar, fine dining at its best in their amazing restaurant with the finest contemporary decor I have seen

2 levels bistro setting and level 2 fine dining we arrived just before lunch was finishing not many people in the venue both over look the esplanade of Surfers and great beach views<br/><br/>Oysters were nice and plump however we did ask if our 1doz oysters could be 1/2 Kilpatrick and 1/2 natural when the bill came she had charged us not the 1doz price but the individual 1/2 prices so we over paid for this bad communication on the service staff by not being attentive to what we were trying to order <br/><br/>Our drink was to share a coconut pineapple Bacardi Malibu cocktail with chunks of pineapple and apple finished with cinnamon we missed out on a few items - no pineapple chunks spirits it was just like drinking an apple pie<br/><br/>Not sure how this place will go as it is alittle hard to find with not much signage<br/>

Ordinary food for a fine dining style restaurant. We had the gnocchi for entree which cost $20 and only had 3 small pieces of gnocchi. We had the salmon for our mains, while the salmon was ok the accompanying vegetables and broth were so salty almost inedible. Wouldn't eat here again there are way better restaurants at surfers paradise for a fraction of the price.

What a way to start 2016 with bad service and bad food! 15min into seating no one has bothered to come over and take our order. A waitress walks by and decides it's a priority to clear the table next to us rather than take our order. Meanwhile the restaurant wasn't even busy. My partner had to get the waitress's attention in order to take our order. Everything we ordered apparently they were out of. We should've been told they literally had nth left on the menu before we were even seated! I guess this was there way of trying to make money off ppl. We ordered 2 lychee mojito mocktails which they made as an alcoholic drink, so then had to get them remade. We then waited 50min for our food to come out. At this point I was thinking to myself the food better be great considering we waited so long for it! The food was terrible!!! The mushroom risotto was bitter, flavorless and under seasoned. The pork belly was so salty I couldn't even eat it! It was like they smeared a bunch of salt on top of the skin. The scallops were unevenly cooked!! As you would imagine we didn't clear our plates. We then asked for the bill and of course they kept us waiting. My partner had to walk to the counter to pay for the bill because once again they think it's acceptable to keep their customers waiting!!! Never have I ever experienced such appalling service! I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone nor would I ever come back!

Location, location, location! Who could ask for more! Seascape has three levels of it: up on the first floor a casual bistro, on the second a gorgeous restaurant perched high above the surf, topped only by the proposed rooftop bar, the first in Surfers Paradise, on the third level. Perfect! ...Overall, the beauty of Seascape wins the day, plus the knowledge that Seascape is yet young. The venue is superb in every way, service from our French waiter charms the socks off us, and the food is artfully plated. Perhaps the beauty and charm raised our hopes to unrealistic heights, leading us to expect mind-blowing cutting edge cuisine. While the menu will please many, to us the flavours felt quite restrained and safe, a little ‘scattered’; skilled but no boundaries pushed.
