Review Bazaar - Surfers Paradise

Great buffet on the Gold Coast. Great selection of food, very fresh, plenty of seating and not overcrowded like other buffets we’ve been too. Lost a star as you have to pay for parking ($4 an hr) and the coffee machine only does flat white, you have to pay for anything else (like a mocha etc).

The only buffet near pur hotel and also open on a Wednesday. 5 of us enjoyed the foods and services, oysters are small but freash. Love the desserts. Tidy and friendly service. Price also reasonable. $70 per adult and $30 per kids up to 12 years old. recommend for buffet lover, better than Sheraton and casino I reckon.

The steak, slipper lobster and desserts were quite good. The seafood section was okay, but there was no sashimi and no sushi. Overall the experience was not bad.

My partner & I went here for dinner and we LOVED it!!!!! The food was so amazing that I ended up getting 3 plates the first round because there was so many good choices!!!! We ended up coming back again for breakfast and was NOT disappointed. The female managers both times were soooo friendly! The cooks were really nice and the waiters/waitresses were really sweet! I had a male waiter for dinner and he had blonde curly hair and had great banter! However I did ask one of the female waitress’ that night (blonde hair, young, hair tied up) to bring me a fork but after 5-10 mins waiting she ignored my request and walked around refilling everyone’s water. So we ended up asking our male waiter that got it for us in no time! The breakfast staff were also amazing and had this female waitress with long black/brown hair in a plait + amazing smile who complimented my dress! My partner & I are still debating which was better - breakfast or dinner but we still couldn’t come to an agreement bc they were both so good! I would HIGHLY recommend this place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The staff, atmosphere & food were one of the best experiences in Gold Coast! We will definitely be coming back before we leave to go back to Melbourne 😂

I have to say that on the basis of ensuring social distancing, this restaurant does a great job. I can give 5 stars for service. I can get 4.5 stars for the dishes. There are not many varieties of dishes and lack of vegetables, but seafood, meat and desserts are commendable. 4.5 stars for environment and hygiene. Overall, this is a good buffet, recommended!

We had both dinner & breakfast at the Bazaar last week. Plenty of food choices for dinner. Quality of the seafood was fantastic, especially the king prawns - they were huge! Staff were attentive & efficient. Our waiter Jonty was fantastic. Breakfast was good too. Will definitely be back next time we go to the Gold Coast !

We really enjoyed both the dinner and breakfast buffet which catered well for a variety of tastes. The manager on Carlie ( hope I spelt it right) is a lovely cheerful person which seems to be reflected in general attitude of the staff. Anyone approached for help were only to happy do so and nothing seemed to be to much trouble. I believe it is value for money and with a couple of promotions running which we took advantage of made it in our eyes a very reasonable price to pay.

I went there for my birthday.. I have enjoyed the food & the atmosphere.. The buffet have so many delicious options.. The Chef can also cook you a steak. They also brought a plate of desert with a candle and sang Happy Birthday for me! Next day we went back for breakfast

Had brunch Bazaar on Sunday. What a magical day it was. We were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. We were shown where all the different dishes were (the choice was endless) and then escorted to our table. The food was decadent and the service was remarkable. I would definitely recommend Bazaar to anyone who is wanting fine dining at its best. Perfection! I will definitely be going back.

My boyfriend and friends and I went to the Bazaar Brunch last Sunday and was not disappointed! The food was delicious (perfect blend of breakfast and brunchy food... seafood also!), the atmosphere was lively and it was a lovely excuse to get everyone together for a nice little day event. We all got the bottomless mimosa package which was an awesome deal, considering we stayed all day and made the most of the buffet and drinks. I LOVED how it is a “make your own mimosa” bar with all the different juices. It’s the perfect excuse to dress cute, catch up with friends, eat breakfast and dessert for hours, and have some nice drinks-all of those things are my favourite :)

We were greeted at the door and shown through the buffet by lovely friendly staff. The food was amazing especially the lamb cutlets. There is not a huge selection of seafood and the oysters are very small but we were very happy with our experience. The decor is nice and modern and the place is very clean. I have recommended this place to friends and we are all planning to come for a night out together.

The best buffett i have ever been to in my life. The service was outstanding and the freshness of the food was amazing. The staff were an absolutle delight to dine with. I just cannot say how much my wife and I enjoyed our night...100%

This is the best buffet ive had in Brisbane and Gold Coast combined. Came here for a mates wedding dinner and it was absolutely amazing. The seafood was fresh as, the meats were cooked to perfection, salads were too good. So many options all kinda of cuisines. And the desserts were even better, i think there were 15 different options. Must visit!!

Came here once before, but the second experience is very bad. <br/>One of the staff stacked dirty dishes on our table when there are empty tables nearby. There was no sorry, no excuse me, but ignore us and then put dirty dishes on our table and collected the dirty dishes from other table, then left with his dishes. <br/>I can’t believe the service in Bazaar can be this bad. <br/>I can’t believe there are staff use customer’s table as a dirty table for the dishes. <br/>It is unbelievable bad and I will never come back again.

Hard to find and bad service!we followed the google map but there is no sign at all! Not worth the money! We searched it on Zomato, the rate is high but really really disappointed! Not much food to choose!

Bazaar is a restaurant located in QT Gold Coast and it features an international cuisine breakfast buffet different dishes like congee, dimsums, pastries, omelettes, hot breakfast and cured meats to name some in a contemporary space with produce on display. Just imagine having and unlimited supply of good breakfast for three mornings, that’s what I have to undergo during my last stay there.
Denny M
Hands down the best breakfast buffet ever! qt bazaar marketplace has everything that you'd want for breakfast. They have a wide selection of hot food, cereals, pastries, and everything that you could think of!! Will definitely go back to this place! 10/10

Bazaar offers arguably the best hotel buffet breakfast I have had. It’s about quality and originality over quantity here but you can pile up that bacon to the max if that’s your pleasure. <br/><br/>Make your own açai bowl or blend your own fresh pressed juice to go with your cooked breakfast. There were fresh house made donuts (actually more like cronuts) and waffles with delicious toppings, an amazing variety if fresh and stewed fruit, peaches in a magnificent cinnamon syrup. The bacon was cooked crispy and they offered poached, fried, scrambled and a fresh omelette station. <br/><br/>One of us had our birthday while here and a staff member overheard our conversation and organised a happy birthday candle to be delivered to our table. A nice touch. <br/><br/>We had this as part of our hotel stay for three mornings and if coming here on a Sunday you should expect perhaps twice as many people as the Saturday and weekday service.

Variety of food is limited, and taste very average, for a $78 buffet the prawn and oyster is tiny and not fresh as expected, also no crab or bug in seafood section, nothing can compare with Sheraton. Only thing good is free parking. Overpriced buffet with disappointed food
Dale
Bazaar's buffet breakfast really impressed us. They use fabulous fresh ingredients, great selection of pastries, friendly staff and a laid-back Gold Coast vibe in the restaurant. We'll be heading back again before the end of our holiday!

Staff are friendly, variety of choices of food, including seafood, oyster, prawns, Indian, pizza, salads, dim sim...etc, even you can ask for steak and they can cook for your immediately, price is worthy ! There are lots of dessert except they don’t have gelato ice cream, but you can make your massive soft serve with toppings, Strongly recommend!! And please starve yourself 3 hours before going becos you will leave with super full stomach, like pig ^(00)^🐷

This place is overly expensive and hyped up on zomato. Yes the place is filled with lots of people but I personally found that the range of food was short most of it was just decor, the prawns were not fresh. The chefs are lovely though but the waitresses won’t look or bother to ask if you need something. The food wasn’t that good and the desserts were soggy! <br/>Will not spend my money here again was such a waste.

Pretty fresh oyster and friendly staff. The good place for casual dinner buffet which catering most demands but the decoration is not that decent the light is a little bit dark. I do recommend if someone pursuit good food like seafood. Choices are not that wide but quality are all good. It is understanding that the concern from QT hotel that not many people need and do not supply that much. Well done!
Some Bunee Loves Food
I really like this place. A lot of selection and I was told there are no food names because they encourage the guests to talk to the chefs and ask what they are. Nice concept and love the desserts.
Canturigirl
Have dined there many times over the last 10 years. It's been a while between visits. Most recent visit was October 2018 and I can say the quality and standard has dropped. The appetizers to the table have stopped, the desserts were not made from scratch and the overall food quality felt more commercial and mass produced than in previous years. I think I have dined here for the last time folks.

Okay I was influenced by the 4+ star rating of this establishment.<br/><br/>At first glance, decor and ambiance were on pointe. I set the bar pretty high for this buffet. We made a reservation and was escorted to our table.<br/><br/>Everybody dressed really nice (most of them at least ). My kids are the world pickiest eaters so naturally I asked them to start surveying the dishes.<br/>Btw, my daughter persuaded me to go to a buffet place because back in the U.S. she would always find something she could eat.<br/><br/>She came back looking “down” and just had a small bowl of Mac n cheese. She couldn’t find her usual fix of chicken and some sort of potatoes. I could tell that the selections are not good.<br/><br/>On the other hand, my experience was a little bit better with the seafood selections. I had oysters and scallops, they were good but I had better. I tried the beef stew and lamb. Meat was tender and juicy. The Indian curry dish was on the sweet side. They had an Asian section as well which I didn’t really get. The only thing that I could spot was the fried noodle.<br/><br/>Ok in summary:<br/>Pros: ambiance, decorations and good service<br/>Cons: limited selections, no food labels and price
Foodieyum
Great buffet, really good selection of food. You can order a steak and pizza freshly made. It doesn’t get a 5 because there are no signs to tell you want anything is, I also found the ice cream to be really tasteless. Would go back.

If you’re in Surfers Paradise QT’s Restaurant Bazaar is a must visit. Great buffet with everything you could want. Beautiful fresh salads, steak, fish, seafood bar, cheese and salami, dumplings, Asian or Indian Curry’s, casseroles, vegetarian. The deserts to die for, you really can’t do better. Put it on your to do list.
Linda
Finally got the chance to dine at bazaar. The food, the experience was good just not to the level its been built up to be. First of all the service was exceptional, staff were friendly and helpful. Dessert was very good but I still feel all dessert buffet needs ice cream. The other let down is when u pay over $70 for seafood buffet to not get crabs on the buffet a little disappointing. Having said that the prawns were very good. All in all a good experience but not great.
Jelena Dordic
It was good, seafood was good but a couple of the things wernt the freshest. We booked a table well in advance and had to sit and wait for a while until it was ready. During this time atleast half a dozen staff walked past us without bothering to ask if we wanted a drink.
Violet
Amazing. What a delicious selection. Everything was just perfection. The roast pork was the best I’d ever had and the dessert selection, just wow. Highly recommended.
Amanda Tinworth
A Passionate team, both in service, concept and chefs - I loved the pride shown when given our introductory tour. The food was of an incredibly high quality and variety - a decadent and indulgent evening in which it was easily to justify a tasting of everything.. with no disappointments! The honey cinnamon carrrots, beef and korma were outstanding and I’ve never had such delicate and juicy baclava before (I had several servings just to make sure)...

Jacky and I have been talking about going to try a famous Buffet in Gold Coast since a long time ago but we were never able to try this place out due to our busy work schedules. It is in QT Hotel. Finally, we are able to try it out since he has a day off. We’ve heard so many good reviews about this place as well as seen so many nice pictures on Zomato/Instagram.
Gigi
Service was good, food was nice this occasion however not as fabulous compared to our visit a few months back. Desserts were delicious and great variety!
Ashleigh McFarland
I'm not normally a fan of buffets - however I've been to Bazaar for both breakfast and dinner. Both were exceptional. The quality of food was surprisingly and delicious! Really fresh seafood with a vast range, good quality meats and lots of different options with cuisines from all over the world. I am now a fan of good quality buffets!
Foodieeexx
Great presentation, good variety of food, desserts....amazing! Waitresses were friendly and quick also. <br/><br/>Good value for money (nye package with drinks)
Rowanne Abualfoul
Great service and friendly staff. Relaxing atmosphere and lighting for a dinner setting. The quality of the food was great and mostly fresh, with the exception of some of the Seafood bar as I encountered a rotten oyster. I would’ve preferred a simpler selection of desserts as the execution of the desserts was poor and some real ice cream instead of the soft-serve ice cream. There were also no labels on the food, so I had no idea what I was eating and did not want to bother the busy staff. All in all it was a pleasant and welcoming experience however not worth the price in terms of variety and quality of seafood/desserts. For $80 a head it really isn’t worth it and can get a bigger variety of food at a buffet for $30. Was really disappointing as we were excited to dine here on our holiday.
Kira Dinh
I thought the customer service was exceptional and the presentation (look and feel) of the place was great but was very disappointed with the quality of the food. I’m not quite sure why it was rated so high because I didn’t think it was worth the money. Other than the amazing customer service and food presentation, I don’t think I’ll be coming back here.
Kyle Jones
The prawns and fresh seafood was great. <br/>The treats were full of sugar and overloaded you for sure. <br/><br/>Seating needs to be addressed and there needs to be a clear indication of lines.
Food Traveller
I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a buffet anywhere near to this one!! The food was absolutely exceptional all with so much flavour and choice, the service attentive, and the atmosphere had great vibes. <br/>I will remember this food experience for a long time and will use this fantastic venue as a standard to compare all future buffets I go to.
Birdman
I can only vouch for the breakfast buffet as it's all I had however it was absolutely tremendous. By far the best buffet I have ever seen... too much too describe but if you are in the GC make sure you get here.
Brigitte Liew
Amazing breakfast buffet - must visit if you're in the Gold Coast! A great selection of both savory and sweet, highlights were the Nutella ice cream and the customized omelette. Better suited for breakfast than brunch as it closes at 10:30am!
Le Cat & Kate
Really liked it! We had the buffet breakfast and there was lots to choose from. Everything we had was lovely, bit disappointed we had to pay for coffee on top of the actual buffet price, I think that should be included. Overall pretty good!
Huan Xie
Not many options. Oyster was not fresh. Dessert was good, but we are not here only for dessert....The decoration is nice, if the food could match it, I may pay another visit.

Visited Bazaar early in 2017 with my partner. The place is very modern and very clean. The food is delightful but that best part is the service! I have an allergy to nuts which was mentioned upon our booking. Before being seated I was introduced to the head chef, who personally walked me through all the options I could and could not have. When desert came, the pastry chef whipped me up something special which is pictured below. I highly recommend Bazaar 5 out of 5!!

We had breakfast here as hotel guests. Amazing selections of food and we were particularly impressed with the presentation of the food and decoration of the open kitchen. Service were friendly however could be further improved with clearer communication from the reception staff.
Rhianna
This place was an experience! Amazing food, amazing desserts, amazing atmosphere. Steaks were cooked to your liking and just melted in your mouth. Every piece of dessert i tried was delicious! So if your ever in the gold coast and feeling something fancy then you have to try this place! Will definitely go back!

This review is for buffet dinner only. Their buffet breakfast is very good, a lot of variety. Every time when we came to Gold Coast, we came to Bazaar for dinner. For the last few times, it was great, but this time, very disappointing. Food was not as amazing as before; there was not much variety and the taste of everything was soooooo average. They used to have great made-to-order dishes, but this time they only had steaks. We had their steaks before, very well cooked, juicy and tender. This time we ordered medium rare but the steak was more well done than medium. Surprisingly we found the edge of the steak was very well cook. It looks to us like they cook a thick steak first before orders, then when an order comes in they slice it and pan fry it. No wonder why it's so quick this time while it took at least 20-25 minutes before. We used to tell our friends that Bazaar is one of our favourite buffets. Sadly we won't say that anymore. The couple sitting at the table next to us were complaining about the value the whole time. It was their first time there but last time too.

Came to this restaurant on the weekend for a friend's birthday. Apparently this restaurant serves up fresh seafood. I did not get fresh seafood at all. I am a seafood lover and I was overly disappointed with what was provided. The mussels and the sand crab had no flavour and the oysters tasted off. The remainder of the food including the desserts were a hit & miss. I certainly wouldn't be going back to this restaurant in a hurry, nor will I be encouraging my friend's to go here when there other restaurants that serve up the same meals at the same price but provide absolute quality food. I don't need much pleasing when it comes to food, however, do not state fresh quality food when it isn't.
Thefoodbotherer
Legit the best buffet ever. Five star food. Five star service. Variety by type bucket load. If you don't eat here at least once when you stay on the Gold Coast, you are mad.
Good Food Good Mood
On a recent trip to the Gold Coast my partner adviser he was booking our accomodation at QT as he had stayed there before and claimed it to be the best breakfast he had ever eaten. Being a naturally cynical person who takes meals and in particular breakfast very seriously I thought to myself how good can it really be. Never in my life have I been so amazed by a breakfast spread and I literally go out for breakfast roughly 100 times a year. Blown away. Every dish possibly conceivable for the morning from doughnuts to acai jars, empanadas to congee. You better believe we backed it up later that night for dinner which was just as phenomenal and we were there again for breakfast the next day! The hat trick of buffets in a 24 hour period. Do I disgust or inspire you?
Andrew Ridler
We were provided a table that rocks due to being unbalanced. Had to wait for our beverages nearly 15 minutes upon ordering what we wanted. The waitress forgot to get me a glass for my beer when requested when she brought the drinks over. The oysters looked like they were chucked on the ice, very poor presentation and were of small size and the prawns were not as good as we had in Melbourne at the Conservatory.<br/>Other than that the food was very good except the rice which was over cooked very mushy. And the ice cream was very watery not creamy. <br/>Was going to have a word to the manager about our experience but due to waiting too long to pay our bill due to a group booking we just wanted to leave. <br/>We ate on the Thursday night at 7pm booking on the 5/1/17
Elle
My family and I are big buffet enthusiasts, and we thought we'd try this one out after hearing amazing reviews from our friends. There was a good selection of food, from seafood to pizza to roast pork. The macarons were to die for. However, we found that the Asian chef who was steaming the yum cha varieties was very cold and seemed reluctant to serve us, which was very offputting. The other waiters and waitresses were lovely however. The concept of the 'interactive marketplace' is not very prevalent and seems like a normal buffet, nothing too unique or outstanding.
VegTreats
Food was decent but not amazing for vegans/vegetarians considering that there were very limited savoury options. Nice collection of fruits and juices as well as bread and spreads, but a bit disappointing in the hotter foods. The baked beans/mushrooms all had animal products in them, but I made do with kilos of fruit!
Eatwithmyfoodsafari
I confess I have a soft spot for a hotel buffet breakfast and Bazaar does it well. Located in the QT hotel, by night it is a dinner buffet taking diners on a culinary journey with cuisines from across the world. The breakfast buffet is a similarly abundant feast with a large assortment of cereals, yoghurts, bakery items (including a dedicated gluten free section and toaster) and condiments, fruit, cold meats and hot food selection including pancakes, waffles and omelettes cooked to order. The beverage choice is equally impressive with juices, flavoured milk, smoothies, T2 teas and coffee with espresso available at an additional charge.<br/><br/>The buffet opens at 6.30am and I'd recommend going early for your choice of seating. Service is spot on with waitstaff consistently clearing your table of empty plates and glasses.
MalvernCustomer
This place was atrocious. The food was bad. There is no other way to say it. <br/><br/>There was little choice and the concept of 'interactive market' is rather dependent on the chef bothering to interact, as opposed glaring at you like a half wit. <br/><br/>What food there was, well that was very ordinary. Why is it so hard to have decent food. Desert was poor as well. So all in all, this was a huge disappointment. <br/><br/>The service from the wait staff was good, but as far as the food goes, it was simply awful. <br/><br/>Give this place a huge miss. There must be better options in this holiday destination. <br/><br/><br/>

Breakfast closed at 10:30am! Come on! Would also help if they advertised the place as inside QT hotel! The staff were friendly, looks good from the outside!

The dinning environment is chic and the presentation of the buffet is so photogenic. However, a bit disappointed by the variety of food provided.

QT Hotel Gold Coast. I am now putting notes in all of my clients documents going to the Gold Coast telling them they MUST have dinner at Bazaar!! Absolutely amazing! Unlike any buffet experience i have had before. The macaroons and panacotta is to die for!
TheHungryCouple
Bazaar is a Buffet Restaurant at QT in Surfers. We visited Bazaar for Buffet Dinner, as we had heard such good things about it but we were severely disappointed. The staff were not very friendly or attentive. When we arrived we were not greeted, we were not even sure we were in the right place- as FIXX and STINGRAY are in the same area, and sort of had to find our own way around. The buffet it self was extremely small, there were probably no more than 12 dishes and only 3 types of cuisine. Most of the food we tried was cold as if it had been sitting out for ages and not kept warm, also very chewy and tough. Nothing really tasted fresh or had much flavour. The desserts were nothing special, lots of jars which were just filled with some caramel and chocolate sauce then a cone thrown in the middle. <br/><br/>TIP: Don't try Bazaar with high expectations.
Askl
Being at the buffet is like being in an adult candy shop.. <br/>The environment was nice and inviting. Colourful and playful and definitely delicious. <br/>The only negative thing i have to say about this place is that the desserts weren't that great. It didn't taste like it was made by a pastry chef.. however, everything savoury was delicious!!loved the salads, the seafood, pizzas and cured meats. <br/>
The Food Ninja
By far the best buffet I have ever had. I honeslty don't know how anyone could score this place less then a 4 at worst. Everything was amazing. 4 of us dined at 8:30pm last night and didnt leave till almost 10:30pm. Everything was fresh, hot and tastey. <br/><br/>Being able to order your own stake is a good, having it actaully come out the way you have ordered it multiple time though is great. <br/><br/>Seafood was fresh. There was a freshly spit roasted lamb available too. <br/><br/>Finally the desserts, everything from macarons to cotton candy. How could you not love this place. <br/><br/>We will be back thats for sure. Thank you bazaar!
Duck Tales
When in surfers this is a place to go eat. So much to choose from and prices are not to bad. Wait staff knew their product which is always a good sign. No long waiting for meals. Very enjoyable

Made a trip down the coast for dinner at Bazaar on Sunday night.  Remembered having an amazing experience when we were there last year.  Sadly a lot has changed.  Oysters were incredibly small, fresh scallops have been replaced by clams, and they've done away with the appetizers.  The cook-to-order steak is still available, but while it used to melt in your mouth, now they use the tougher cuts of meat.  If I'm to be honest, much of the hot food offered looked unappetizing - and really, at a buffet of this calibre and price, you shouldn't be scraping the bottom of the hot plate at 6:30pm.   <br/><br/>We stayed 45 minutes tops, as did our neighbours who were seated after us.  2 points for the tasty roast potatoes and lovely wait staff.
Samantha Gemmell
Nice buffet with a large variety of food! I thoroughly enjoyed my night here! Loved how there was a decent range of Asian food to choose from and they had fresh steamed dim sum! The oysters were very small but other than that most of the food was good! Our waiter was also very attentive :-)
Shujai
Great buffet with quality food, good selections of food! Excellent services and good atmosphere. Extra likes meat sections for the made to order steaks, grill pork, and cured meat. Will come back!

At $32 per person for breakfast buffett this is disgusting<br/>all bread was stale, croissants are just mini frozen croissants and reheated / cooked. bacon is inedible, scrambled eggs watered down. I had a hair in my youghurt and passion fruit cup. feel completely disgusted I will not be returning ever. don't waste your time or your money.<br/>taste 2/10<br/>quality of food 1/10<br/>variety 3/10<br/>staff 4/10

The QT bazaar is on the first floor, make sure you see the signs going up the stairs. At first glance it's extremely fancy, the waiters usher you in personally and show you around and tell you about the food and cuisines available and finally show you your table. Then they tell you they have a complimentary drink, which is fantastic if you want some bubbles. <br/><br/>The food is extensive but not too much, there's Italian and mod australian, then it goes into Mexican and Moroccan, then transforms into seafoods and south east asian flavours, and finally terminates at the ice cream booth down the end. There's also an insane wall of dessert too. It was insanely impressive.<br/><br/>The food was quite good but nothing to be amazed about, the western foods were significantly better than the eastern cuisines. The curries weren't really done well and the meat were all overcook. The dumplings were very sub par as well - one look st the kitchen and you'd know why - perhaps get a chef of Asian ancestry instead of white chefs? <br/><br/>The Western foods weren't that much better. The mac and cheese were bland and the pulled pork was not tender yet. The chippies and fish fingers were good though, but that's not why you go to a fancy buffet for...<br/><br/>Lastly the dessert. The dessert wall was probably the best part, having treats from crumble to little eton messes to tiny cakes. It was good. The ice cream booth however.... whoever the girl was who was manning the ice cream, girl you are running a happy place why are you the grumpiest person in the world? You should not be having an attitude if you work in hospitality. Tsk.<br/><br/>Overall it was a good experience but i would not return. For that price, the food wasn't all that special. <br/><br/>just a last note, why the hell was it so hot and stufy in there?? It was seriously like an oven which made the dining experience that much more unpleasant. Sorry Bazaar.

Breakfast Buffet <br/><br/>If you are not a big fan of breakfast buffet then Bazaar is going to change your mind. They have an extensive selection in the breakfast menu. It's hardly you can try them all in once. <br/><br/>This is what they have from my memory and photos: <br/><br/>Big breakfast: scramble egg is my favourite, I also love the pan fried bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes. <br/><br/>Deli selection: only tried salami, not too bad! they also have few salad and pickles that you can choose<br/><br/>Bread and jams: love their bread, really want to ask them who are the suppliers, didn't try the jams though. <br/><br/>Cereal: didn't try, sorry!! There are too many good choices besides cereal!!! <br/><br/>Yoghurts: they look lovely in the bottle but don't have enough stomach to have them... <br/><br/>Omelette Cook on site: didn't try. They have about 8 different ingredients there so should be able to satisfied everyone's need!<br/><br/>Gluten free selection: didn't try. This is a very thoughtful selection. <br/><br/>Fruit & yoghurt : around 8-10 varieties plus yogurt and fruit salad, overall is good. <br/> <br/>Japanese style breakfast: <br/>They have steam rice, congee, miso soup, deep fried fish fillet and few pickles in the selection. The congee and pickles are good. It's nice to see they include Asian style In the selection. <br/><br/>Pastry and dessert: I am really full when I come to this part, I only tried mini strawberry Danish and I really, really love it!! Considered I am already full, the pastry is delicate and it's not the quality you would expect the buffet can offer. I am willing to pay separately for it!!! It's a MUST try! <br/><br/>Tea and coffee: <br/>They also provide artisan coffee with additional charge. I didn't go with that, only had pre-made coffee in the bottle and it's good enough! <br/><br/>Overall my partner and I really enjoy our breakfast! We didn't have much because we also booked the buffet for lunch later that day! (Still in Bazaar and completely different selection from breakfast!) I will write another review about it when I have a chance! <br/><br/><br/><br/><br/>

This 2 points are for their service, the food is so terrible, because the Oyster is not fresh, I would like to say all the seafood here is not fresh, I just tested for one of each and then spat them out. So please don't think about having fine seafood here, I won't come here anymore !
AnitaOnChi
The BEST buffet in Brisbane/Gold Coast/Sunshine Coast hands down. Or pretty much for us personally all around. And we've had some buffets in our bellehs. Range of food is amazing, with seafood, meats, pizza, Asian food, salads and a mouth watering range of desserts. This one is not to be missed!

A group of 27 family members booked for the lunch buffet on 27 December. It is a beautiful restaurant and we were allocated a private section of the restaurant. I surveyed the fresh seafood and hot meals on offer and was impressed. My first course was 6 oysters and 4 medium sized prawns. Four of the oysters had a foul taste and I had to spit it out and rinse out my mouth. Yuk! I quickly warned my group to be careful of the oysters. It was an unfortunate start to my meal. The prawns were rather tasteless. With some caution I took a small serve of spanner crabs, black lip mussels and scallop on the shell. The crab and mussels was dry and tasteless but the boiled scallops were delicious. I have no doubt the oysters, prawns and crabs were recycled everyday since the Xmas buffet. <br/><br/>I decided to give the seafood section a wide berth and tried the hot food section. The pizza, baked whole Atlantic salmon, fish & chips, braised beef cheeks and roast beef were beautifully presented and delicious. I finished my meal with several desserts. Hot drinks like tea and coffee was not complimentary. <br/><br/>We had one waitress who was run off her feet attending to our group. There were many plates left on the table waiting to be taken away. I often saw her carrying away 10-12 plates and felt the need to give her a substantial tip as she tried her best to cope. For a 5 star restaurant this is not good enough QT! <br/><br/>

Came to this restaurant after reading some reviews. It was our first time. One of the staff brought us in and introducing the food and how to order those tasting plate. She said that there are a lot of interactions between chef and us. The tasting plate and steak that cook to order tastes good. Definitely a vast choices of food. There some drink packages that might be worth to try. Waitresses are helpful. A place that worth trying when visiting Gold Coast.

Never again! Pretty expensive, but was our wedding anniversary, so we decided to do something nice. The next day was anything but. My wife and I were both hit with food poisoning, but I coped the worst of it. A day and a half spent missing work, wishing I was dead and ejecting every kind of liquid from my body later we rang QT to warn them of the problem. We spoke to some very unsympathetic staff who effectively told us to suck it up and move on. We were considering having another event there early next year, but after this experience we'll go somewhere else!

Close you eyes and dream up an amazing breakfast in a beautiful big kitchen with squeezed juices in mason jars, fresh sweets like jam donuts, yummy saucy savoury things simmering in cast iron pots.. and then you have Bazaar. The service is fab, the decor is beautiful and the breakfast is not expensive for what you get! I can't wait to go again :)

Staying at QT is always an experience and the Bazaar is no exception. Designed well with a very creative spin on a buffet. Chefs are available to talk you through what is available, plenty of different options and more sweets that you can imagine. Loved it. Treat yo Self.

Came for breakfast. There is a wide selection available in a buffet style. Like any good breakfast the benchmark is the eggs. These eggs were cooked en masse but this didn't stop them from being maybe the best eggs I have ever eaten. Home made baked beans were a good idea and quite nice but it seemed like ever item of food had to have its own different twist which kind of spoiled the whole thing in the end there was just too much too different. It isn't cheap but it is nice.

An expensive buffet, good quality options and an uber cool decor will greet you upon entry to Bazaar. I was pleasantly surprised by the vast range of offerings and the quality to boot. Each element had its on twist, with tall glass bottles for the range of juices to actual honeycomb for the honey to be extracted from. The bread and butter pudding was a cracker with texture and bags of flavour a plenty. <br/>A definite breakfast tick if you are in the area.<br/>Food 8.5/10 service 8/10 decor 8.5/10

This restaurant is very cute, keeping up with the standards of QT hotels. The breakfast buffet menu is something that you would expect in a hotel - hot breakfast options with bacon, eggs, mushrooms etc. and different kinds of bread, cereals, youghurt, juices. The made-to-order ommlettes are the highlight but nothing too fancy. It is a shame you have to pay extra for espresso coffee. The dinner buffet menu is a little more exciting. The tasting plates of the day is the highlight - but not to expect something exceptional. Otherwise there are pizzas, salads, cheeses to fill you up. I would avoid the Asian options, nothing special nor authentic. Fresh seafood is good a bang for the buck. Can't really go wrong with prawns; crabs and oysters are sort of hit and miss; avoid the mussels - dry and tasteless. Desserts are quite impressive. Good selection of hot and cold and most options leave you a big smile at the end. I would much rather have a scoop of good quality gelato than a heap of vanilla ice cream with colourful lollies though (I guess kiddies like it!). Overall, worth trying once or twice.

Make sure you are hungry! The buffet food here is high quality, and you'll want to make the most of it. Great selection and definitely worth getting the chefs to talk you through what is laid out
DAMMIT JANET I LOVE FOOD
I rarely go to buffet restaurants these days due to my somewhat defective satiety centre, however this place certainly impressed me and I am glad that I went. The dining area was sleek and modern, while service was surprisingly outstanding for a buffet restaurant. Our cheery waiter was efficient and very observant which meant that we had fantastic table service.

27/06/2016 - Once again I have returned to my favourite restaurant on Surfers. The buffet still does not disappoint and I am returning to my room absolutely stuffed full of delicious food. Be sure to save room for dessert!<br/><br/>--<br/><br/>Absolutely amazing! In the past few years that I've visited the Gold Coast, we've always stayed at the QT Hotel, and Bazaar has always been the highlight of the stay. The buffet food is delicious and the choices are plenty, something for everyone. The atmosphere here is lovely and the chefs are amazing. <br/><br/>The breakfast buffet is great as well, offering a good range for those with picky tastes in the morning. Love it!

wow was absolutely blown away by this place! we had the buffet dinner. Usually with buffets their is a big selection of foods but the quality is not that good, however this place has the best quality foods and choice! The burrito pulled beef meat was delicious and also a great selection of salads. The desserts were even more amazing and they have a Sundae station where you can choose your toppings they had so many options like oreos, lollies, nuts and sauces. It is expensive though for a buffet probably a bit too much in my opinion which is why im not giving 5 stars.

This is my second choice of buffet restaurant at Gold Coast. The interactive idea of presenting different food with varieties of cusines is successful. I appreciate the made to order hot food section, where you can order your steak with your favorite degree of cooking. There are lots of Chinese Dim Sims for you to choose and sometime they even made to order and bring to your table. The only negative is oysters selected are too small......

Well, what can  say, we haven't experienced anything quite like breakfast at Bazaar. Firstly, the staff are wonderful, they were extremely helpful and actually looked and behave like they wanted to be there, and I can see why.<br/><br/>The decor is quite unique, it has a rustic elegance that is quite contemporary. Together with the friendly staff, it really makes you feel at home. A fantastic ambience is created here.<br/><br/>After taking in the friendly informative staff, and the pleasantly unique surroundings the expectation on the food is now quite high. Even with this elevation, the food exceeded in bounds. The chef has put forward a unique take on a standard breakfast menu, this delicious hot buffet was like none I have seen before.<br/><br/>I put together eggs bennie from perfectly poached eggs and creamy hollandaise. The stand-outs for me however were the mushrooms, and the bread and butter pudding.<br/><br/>Yum, we'll be back
Food 2 Run
Great coffee and the rocky road with Oreo biscuits just magic...

Good food but lacked the luxury feeling usually associated with the price tag!. Although I didn't have any issues with the food, the DIY self-service meant that I didn't feel leaving like I'd had a dining experience worthy of the price tag, which is a shame given there was a reasonable selection of seafood and other dishes. Although its not objectively poor value for money, I still left feeling a bit disappointed and short changed . Sorry guys.

Bazaar is the best dining experience I have had on the Gold Coast and one I will happily recommend. Check it out next time you are on the GC and let me know what you think!<br/>

Limited variety on food. Thought there would be way more to choose. Steaks, ice cream tiny serving. Spent well $300 here and was even charged $10 for a bottle of distilled tap water! Waste of money not worth the $72! If you're reading this up your game or lower your prices.

A mixed bag. Upon entering the Bazaar restaurant for the first time, you will be delighted to see the variety of food. During dinner there is something for everyone, offering a range of cuisine from meat and potatoes to asian inspired dishes. Your eyes wouldn't be disappointed! However, your tastebuds....that may be a different story. <br/><br/>It's a shame really. The time and energy all of those chefs put into make a massive feast is worthy of praise, however there is one thing missing....flavor. Whether it was the chicken wings, baked salmon, braised beef cheeks, slow-cooked lamb shanks or freshly made pizza, I have come to realize that the Bazaar restaurant is so close to being awesome, but falls short on flavor. I realize taste is a very subjective thing, and perhaps I have been spoiled, but this place needs some help - maybe salt for starters. <br/><br/>Service is good-ish. We've been there a number of times and the last time we went, we were seated in a corer of the restaurant that was very isolated and seemed to be almost separate from everything (right behind the ice cream stand). I felt like we were being put in time-out. The table next to us saw an influx of disappointed patrons, who upon arriving to their seat asked to be seated elsewhere simply because that awkward isolated corner of the restaurant is a slap in the face to people who are paying to eat there. Mind you there was a massive step you have to climb to reach your seat, and climbing that step in heels with a plate of food isn't really what I was expecting nor easy. <br/><br/>One of the gentlemen who makes the omelets during breakfast seems to not like people - and he is entitled to that. However, he's probably not the best person to have dealing with guests. Same goes for one lady working at the ice cream station - definitely an ice queen. <br/><br/>If you think this place is amazing, it's probably because we have different preferences when it comes to bold flavors. However, for Queensland, it's probably the best buffet you'll come across. <br/><br/>As I usually say - go for it and give it a try, you may just love it. <br/><br/>PS - their salads are good!

Wrong choice! Very disappointed !!!!!!!. Disappointed. The food tastes awful and was not worth the $72 I paid. I didn't even get cold water. The flavouring of the food was not tasteful and was salty, there was a limited selection of food and the desserts were not worth eating. Bad choice of buffet restaurant and I will not be going there again. Although some of the staff were nice the manager was rude. Overall, they need to up their game!

Ok only. Went last year 2013 and tried again now dec 2014. However agreed with other diners that it wasn't as good as before. The cook food was a let down. However the ice cream wasn't there last year and I like it. The oyster wasn't as fresh as it should be. The tasting plate is yummy. A good applause to the chefs but not the waitresses. As the waitress should be telling the guests the table number as you need it when ordering the steak or tasting plate. Overall is just ok. But I would go there if I have to pay the full price.

The breakfast buffet is absolutely amazing & worth the $ but I was left a little disappointed by the buffet dinner :( for starters it is noisy & tables are so close together you can barely move. This is a great place if you're a big meat & seafood eater! As a vegetarian the buffet was wasted on me (though I enjoyed the dessert bar) mainly ate macarons though as the cakes & tarts tended to be quite dry. It did suck though only being given a time slot of 6-7:30pm before being practically pushed out the door.. If you're going to Bazaar I would definitely recommend the breakfast but not so much the dinner sadly. I love the hotel though & had an amazing stay there :-)

Don't know what people complain about!. Absolutely amazing meal. The slow cooked beef cheek was one of the tenderest and tastiest pieces of meat I've ever had. The salad bar was fresh, tasty and varied. The Seafood was super fresh and the accompanying sauces were delicious. The Asian section wasn't my favorite but still had something for everyone with plenty of garnishes. Service was amazing never had to look at dirty plates and our waiter was very helpful. Look $72 is a lot of money but the food was amazing! Desert bar was awesome but by that point in our meal we were well and truly stuffed so couldn't fully appreciate how good it really was.

Not worth the money - terrible service. I was really looking forward to eating at Bazaar and unfortunately it was a huge let down. The food was average and not worth the more than $70 price tag alone, but it was the service that really made it not a great experience. A tasting plate I ordered never arrived; it was one of our party's birthday and were told some waiters would come and sing happy birthday but instead a plate that said Happy Birthday was dumped in front of the birthday girl with not so much as a word; and to top it all off our bill came to $376 and we put down $380 but the waiter never returned with our change. Tipping is not customary in Australia, and even in places where it is you never assume you can just take the change. If you did a good job, which you didn't, I would leave it for you. But instead I had to uncomfortably ask for my change after waiting for a long time, and again have it just dropped on the table with no apology. I will not be returning or recommending Bazaar.

Grotty restaurant with bad food and service. Unfortunately I have dined at QT twice through obligation to a family members celebration. Both times poor food selection, lukewarm or even cold food, dirty plates and cutlery, no plates at a few points, no cutlery at dessert buffet and if you ask for table water you get an old wine bottle filled with warm water. No water bowls for hand rinsing unless you ask and then have to wait 15 mins for the staff to bring it to you- totally unacceptable for $73 per person. The worst part- ladies bathrooms had all soap dispensers completely empty- told staff and went again about half an hour later to wash my hands, STILL empty! So every lady that had been going to the bathroom had not been washing her hands at a buffet restaurant. I don't understand why people continue to like this restaurant. I am a Gold Coast local and would stick to the seafood buffet at 5-star resorts (Marriott, Sherston and Versace) over this revolting, noisy and below standard excuse for a restaurant. So very very bad.

Bloated by all the delicious food. Slow cooked food at it's best amongst the other awesome foods on hand. Good service and a friendly smile. I have now been over 5 times in a few years and still the same :)

No tattos allowed. Visited the QT on the Gold Coast for the first time tonight for my nephews 21st birthday. After his party spent $3000 plus at the Bazzar restaurant my nephew was denied entry into the bar because he had a neck tattoo. He was denied entry by a security guard who had a neck tattoo himself. We were served meals by wait staff who had entire sleeves of tatoos. When i made a complaint i was told that this was QT policy. This is discrimination. I'm not impressed by the QT!

Great experience. Good foods. Friendly atmosphere. 8/10

A Must Try!. As expensive as this place is, I definitely think they're worth checking out at least once! So different from any buffet experience I've ever had before. It's all made to look like you're at a market place and the food is all delicious! It's different food too! Nowhere near the bland, over-battered food you get at any other buffet. <br/>And the desserts (oh the desserts), so good. <br/>If you're one of those people who just has simple needs when it comes to buffets (roasts, battered food etc), then you may not like this place because it's all gourmet but if you enjoy trying something different, you'll love it.<br/>If you're like me then you'll have to save your pennies for a special occasion before you go again but I really hope I can come back one day.

Not worth the money. Disappointed. All the rave. I decided to go. Waited an hour thinking it would be worth it as it seemed like a fancy place. The seafood was bland. Lacking in variety of selection. Steak with no options of sauce. Was all mediocre, nothing made me want to eat more. Dessert was just as boring. Macaroons were hard and felt like I could've broken teeth. Cakes were dry as a cardboard box. <br/>On the plus side, the ambience was lovely. <br/>Felt like $75 was thrown away on home ice cream.

Don"t bother. If you are a fan of great food cooked beautifully (as in Masterchef for example) you are wasting your time and money visiting this eatery. The food was dreadful the only thing fit for consumption was the seafood. Lamb shanks were served minus any gravy juices, undercooked and cold brussel sprouts, cold mashed potatoes and fatty uneatable lamb. The desert bar apart from some nice macaroons was mediocre to say the least. Definitely a once only visit. Our staff member "Georgie" was the only shining in the restaurant.

Love it!! Most unique buffet experience, having resembled as it describes a market place. Love the presentation, the salads with a twist, deli section and friendly wait staff! Only downside, there could be more options to choose from the food, however the limit is expected with the detail in each item up for grabs. Worth the money!!

Been on my wish list for a while. Finally made it to Bazaar. Odd, not as big as I thought it would be. Odd mix of food. Odd crowd, dress code more suited to a beach side takeaway . Service good. pity the menu and atmosphere let's it down. On reflection Bazaar is more on par with a Cafeteria, Bizarre. Wont be going back
Westie
Many good things to say about it but much room for improvement. Staff are friendly, table service good, was there for a birthday and they made a birthday platter with the cakes. The dishes need to be labelled and easily accessible to everyone not just some who know. Like they have pork belly but you have to ask. Steamed yum cha dishes had to be asked but you could have this as a self serve. Tea and coffee not included. The place is understaffed but the staff there are all friendly and helpful.

Best buffet I've ever been to!!! Great food

The best breakfast on the coast. This place is amazing – It truly is an interactive marketplace! The location is great, just a short stroll from the beach. As you walk in, the first thing you notice is the transparent cold room filled with quality meats. The staff are great, we were greeted with big smiles and given a quick tour of the buffet before being seated. The selection of food is just infinite and the quality of each dish can literally be seen because the kitchen is open and overflowing with baskets of fresh, premium produce. The homemade jams and rustic relishes are superb, as well as tasty. A chef stands ready at the omelette station to prepare you a personalized creation with any ingredients you want. Individual mason jars filled with various liquids line the opposite wall and the “daily” breakfast smoothie and freshly squeezed juice cocktail are served in large glass jugs. The vast assortment of pastries and breads are wonderful just to look at, let alone eat. Bazaar leaves absolutely nothing to be desired!

The dinner buffet is good, but the breakfast spread is AMAZING!!

Amazing selection of quality food, the only problem is deciding what to have! Tasting plate was fantastic. The staff were lovely and the chefs behind the counters so nice and chatty. Great night out.
