I was here yesterday for the buffet lunch and was thoroughly impressed with it all. The seafood table had oysters, mussels, crab, octopus, prawns plus entree type foods like springs rolls, steamed dumplings, that’s all I remember, there may have been mpre but it was all tasty and that’s why I went back for seconds plus++. The mains table had cheeses, meats, roast pork with great cracking and a awesome array of deserts amoung other things, I was too focused on the seafood & roast pork. There were 5 of us and we all left, having eaten enough food for a week and hugely enjoyed the views. All-in-all, the food was great and the views were great. Good job Four Winds, will definately be making a point of bringing my visiting family and friends here again in the future ��
My surprise for my Bestie’s early Birthday treat went off with success. High Tea was lovely! Our table of four was impressed, great food, service and the view .... Wow!! We all thought why tea bags rather than a pot of hot leaf � tea. Will be back �
Four Winds Revolving Restaurant was just the best I would like to thank the Chief and staff for making it a wonderful night with the great food the Chief was outstanding letting me know which foods I was able to have because of a Lemon allergy made the night outstanding I would highly recommend a night out at the restaurant Once again we thank you
Went here with my hubby, mum and 16 week old daughter yesterday for high tea to celebrate English mothers day. It was amazing...our waiter was amazing and was very attentive to our needs. The food was beautiful and there was plenty of it. I bought tickets from groupon so only paid $84 for 3 people instead of $117 so happy with that. Will definitely be back for high tea again....��

Enjoyed amazing views, exceptional service, fresh and good grade seafood, but other than seafood was a bit boring and not creative. The restrooms were downstairs so it might not be convenient for seniors.
Probably best to book this one during the day, or even the 5.30pm dinner sitting. We came to the 8pm sitting, however, you couldn't really see much of the view outside, and was mainly reflections from inside. The food was good., lots of bugs, prawns, oysters, scallops, crabs, etc., on the seafood side. There was also another section for mains and desserts. Not sure if it was worth $89 pp.
Good food, great views! Brought my mom here for her birthday and she was pleasantly surprised! The staff were friendly and took us to our table right away. The food was quite nice. The entrees were fresh, there were several choices for the main dishes, and a gorgeous dessert table. I especially liked the mushroom soup and their avocado spread!
One thing my mom and I agreed on was that we probably didn’t eat $70 worth of food, but considering the location and the views, we were satisfied.
Yes the atmosphere and the view is amazing but you are paying a premium for the view. For most of the time you will be spending time to watch the amazing view. Everyone loves the fresh seafood. Very clean. For a buffet we were looking for more variety of food including fruits. But then quality over quantity.
We just had lunch here. The view is spectacular! I walked in the Restarant straight away was amazed by the view. Well spend just over $50 for a buffet, with such a view, I really wasn’t expected the food too be so nice after readying some bad reviews here. However the food was way nicer than we were expected, prawns are big and fresh, barramundi was very delicious. Service was also very good. Due to pregnancy, I couldn’t eat any raw seafood or too much desert, but I really don’t think this place worth a 1 or two star. In Melbourne or Sydney, similar price you might not receive something nicer. Especially if you are in Gold Coast for the first time, you really shouldn’t miss this place.

Went there for lunch buffet, the seafood are fresh and yum, the desserts are very nicely done too, mains are ok but I think they might have MSG in it, I’m pretty sensitive to MSG, I was so thirsty the whole arvo! But besides that everything is awesome, the view is so beautiful u just can’t miss this experience, service is very good as well. Will definitely be back again :)
Went there for a Friday night. The buffet was great. Spinner crab, oyster, prawns are super fresh. Hot dishes are not many selections but they are all well prepared and tasty. We enjoyed our dinner in four winds 360, thanks so much for catering.
Went to four winds for a high tea. The restaurant is nice with a great view (although you can feel a bit sick if you’re prone to motion sickness). The high tea was ok, very filling. The sandwiches could’ve had more filling and more variety (3 sandwiches each should be 3 different flavors).
Don’t bother arriving early as the lift doesn’t let you up to the top floor until the booking time. Overall it was a good experience.
Three of us dined here yesterday for the Groupon high tea. My points are given for the novelty of a revolving restaurant, convenience of free parking, friendly service and good drinks. Improvements could be made on the food itself which was pretty average but otherwise a pleasurable experience.

We flew up from Sydney for my birthday to eat here and we weren’t disappointed. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious and fresh... My husband loved the seafood selection and although l don’t eat seafood l had plenty of choices... The dessert were to die for... yum!!!
The food was alright. The view is great because the restaurant rotates 360 degrees so you get to see a 360 degree view from high x Loved their oysters but rest was pretty average x
We came to the buffet for a family lunch anticipating some killer views and delicious food. The restaurant does a full (slow) 360 degree rotation over 70 minutes as you look down from the 26th floor of the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Food wise it was like priced with other buffets at similar calibre hotels. I found the food slightly less enjoyable but arguably this location is a bit more of a novelty and something you probably want to experience as a tourist.
My dad certainly went to town on the fresh seafood and probably ate everyone's money's worth purely on the prawns. The food had a bit of an Asian influence which was interesting to see. I really enjoyed the cheese and antipasto but tried to stop myself filling up on it given we were shelling out $61 pp (more on a Sunday and even more for dinner). Overall as a visitor to the sunny state it was definitely worth doing
Come here to celebrate parents birthday, great cold seafood platter as the mussels were cooked just right with nice seasonings too and oysters sourced from Sydney as well as wide selection of cakes but the hot mussels were a disappointment as the sauce was too sweet and the mussels were rubbery
Four Winds is a pretty decent buffet on the Gold Coast. I was particularly impressed by their selection of seafood and antipasto. Not pretentious but reliably good. There wasn't one single meal that stood out to me, its more a matter of a vast range of different foods cooked to a decent standard. Some of the foods came across as a bit dated and theres definite room for improvement. The dessert buffet was ok but would have liked for something a bit more interesting than slices and mediocre flavoured ice creams and lollies. The views however are amazing and the revolving aspect does add a bit of appeal.

I've been to this buffet around 4 times with some family members and some friends, once at dinner time and the other times at lunch. While the view during the rotation was always quite spectacular to look at during the lunch time (during the night you can't really enjoy the Gold Coast views fully), the food has been inconsistent. Some of the trips have been a miss and other times we get a hit!
Pros
- quite a nice place to head to if you have a visitor/guest with you as it shows off the Gold Coast and surrounding areas
- buffet for around 2 hours consisting of entrees, mains and desserts
- During certain times of the month/season, the restaurant runs a promo which gets you around $10-$20 off the original prices of the buffets
- Free 3 hour parking as a part of coming to the buffet
Cons
- Food can be hit or miss
- Inconsistency in the quality of the food
- Food items that can be found on the menu on the restaurants website are not always available during the meal
- Have to pay for drinks which can get quite pricey
- Bathrooms available are not the nicest place, have to travel down a level to be able to use
- Night time - the skyline and surrounding Gold Coast area aren't as clear/ hardly visible at all as they are during the day
Visited Four Winds restaurant for a family gathering. The novelty of dining in a revolving restaurant is certainly a unique Gold Coast experience. The quality of the food was good, with careful attention by staff to cleanliness. The range of food was okay with oysters being my favourite. A great range of roasted meats and salad would take this from good to great. Overall I enjoyed the experience.

I'm from Melbourne but this wins my heart over many seafood buffet outlets in Melbourne and I put this on my must-visit list whenever I go to Queensland.
And be aware, this restaurant may raise your bar of expectation after your visit and it may not be match able by everyone else.

I love their food varieities here at 4 winds restaurant. Bought my family here for a birthday celebration snd everyone left with a grin and a very content tummy!! Reccommended if you hvnt tried. My favourite part is the 360° spin view of GC while you eat. I personally prefer the lunch session bcos i can see more clearly through the window, but if ur a night view lover, im sure youll enjoy as much as i did! Food was quite good for a buffet!! lunch was $60 per/person when i went. P.s.make a reservation!! And quote 'i love 4 winds' for a 10% discount of the overall bill.
We have been here for AYCE buffet twice, with the first time being two years ago. This place is the only revolving restaurant in Queensland, and obviously a very unique dining experience. There are plenty choices including Crab, oysters, mussels, squids plus other Asian and Mediterranean food options.
However, comparing the recent experience with our first one, we do find the food and service level is gozing down...(still good). The first time, there were Sushi, Salmon, Scallops and bugs. The desert options are also getting much less. Service wise, there used to be chef making dishes on the spot by order. Unfortunately I didn't see any of these this time.

Been here both for buffet dinner and for high tea... Both times were incredible! Buffet has incredible variety and is delicious! The high tea is very well set up and great value for money! Will definitely return!
Really good service for a large family group. The food was basic but ok. The view is nice, but at night there was not much to see. Not bad but not as fantastic or fancy as it is made out to be.
Nice view , very unique place to dine. staff very friendly but overall I would only go for view not necessarily the food.
Wish they could speed up the turntable and make it like a ride at SeaWorld with seat belts on! :)

For a change, we decided not to step out of our hotel that evening and try out their revolving restaurant. Earlier during the day, when I checked out their menu, I was rather impressed by the choice of food they had... especially the seafood. The buffet was a combination of street food, seafood and a tasting window. As we were staying at the hotel, we also got a 10AUD dollar discount for each of us dining there as well as a bottle of wine.
When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by a lovely lady who guided us to our seat. The restaurant was packed, so it was good that we booked early. Our table was near a window and we could see Gold Coast glistening in the dark.
I immediately started off with seafood! I loaded my plate with Queensland prawns, Spanner Crabs, Mussels and Bugs. I loved the mussels and bugs. I am not a fan of oysters, but the rest of our group tried them out and loved them. They didn't have a lot of salads, just a few basic ones and some sushi too. When there's seafood in front of me, I can never get myself to have salads.
The street food counter had a wide choice of Asian food. There were assorted dumplings, spring rolls, chicken curry, lamb shank, noodles and lots more. By the time I reached this section, I was already stuffed with seafood so I tried out just a few things. I personally loved their steamed chicken & mushroom dumpling, yellow curry chicken, 5 spice braised lamb shank and Thai style grilled barramundi. Everyone in our group had their own favourites.
At the tasting window, I tried out the steamed scallop and crispy Peking beef. This was a first time, I'd seen any restaurant serve scallops in their buffet. I simply loved it! They had honey sesame prawns and pork belly too, which i didn't really try out.
Coming to my favourite part - desserts! Again, a wide choice of sweet treats. My favourites were the lychee trifle, fruit pavlova, creme caramel and the sticky date pudding which I topped off with a dollop of vanilla ice cream. They even had a cheeseboard.
Overall, it was a great experience and quite affordable for the choice of seafood that they had.
Was amazing! Read some bad reviews and almost didn't come. But seeing as we were sitting at the hotel we thought we should. Do not regret it one bit! Highly recommended. Great Asian food and seafood. So many deserts.
Dined here with the family last night and was well impressed overall.
Seafood was fresh and tasty, good selection of salad, tasty roast meats on the mains buffet and desserts were also impressive. I recommend the sticky date pudding with home made ice cream.
The main differentiator was the service received. Our waitress Zena did a fantastic job and could hardly believe she was on work experience. They definitely need to keep her. She provided service with a smile and nothing was too much trouble for her.

Most of what others say about this restaurant is true. It is a nice atmosphere and unique experience. But the food quality and range overall is average. If you can get a cheap deal for this place then it might be worth it. I wouldn't come back for $75 per head.
A all you can eat buffet. Although the food isnt fantastic it was still very edible and there was heaps of varity. I suggest the sunset sitting and it is an experience even if you dont enjoy the food.
We were expecting sizzler-esque food but were pleasantly surprised by the presentation, range & taste of the food. The mix of Asian cuisine and very fresh seafood works well & there is enough other options to suit any palate. The only negative? I am a dessert queen and was very unhappy with the desserts. I thought most were tasteless and didn't measure up to main and entree at all. My partner didn't think dessert was too bad however. The restaurant itself was sophisticated, staff were very professional and the view was spectacular (although not light for long when we went for the early sitting in May). Also I have a sensitive vestibular system - can't go on any remotely dizzy rides or I get sick for the rest of the day - but I felt fine after 5mins in the revolving restaurant, even with it moving faster than I'd hoped.

Great Views! Nice Family gathering!. Great place for a not-so-formal buffet and still enjoy seafood greatness and wonderful dishes. Excellent views and not too bad with price/quality. Good atmosphere and great for family gathering or overseas friends visiting while exploring the gold coast. I rate it 7/10
The food was good, the views great and we had a nice night. It's not great value ($62 per head for food) and I must confess to not being a big buffet fan - but overall this place is worth a visit.
Great seafood, fantastic views. I usually give the hot food a miss (boring) and the desserts could be better... But after 16 visits I still love the place!

Absolutely LOVE IT!. Views are devine, food is great (it's mass produced peope and is designed as primarily a seafood buffet, so dont be surprised about 'regular', not 'five star' flavour and presentation for the other hot dishes.

The view was great, especially watching the sunset over gold coast. Kid friendly service and able to comfortably axcommode a group of a dozen. The food was okay. The good dishes included the beef madras and oyster Kirkpatrick. The seafood, including prawns an oysters, were very fresh. Cheesecake and mini tarts containing macadamia nuts or pecans were very good. other dishes were less successful including the noodle dishes. Overall worth it for the view if you're on holiday there. But if it were just for the food you can find better value elsewhere.
Best ever views. The views are absolutely superb ... as far as the eye can see east, west, north and south ... you get to see it all as the restaurant revolves whilst you are eating.
Service is excellent. I always enjoy the Asian buffet, the seafood is good but limited, desserts are great. Due to space restrictions the buffet may have less variety than others locally, but the views, great service and atmosphere more than make up for it. Its a winner!
