Review Thai Republic - Surfers Paradise

Very nice, clean and fast service. Would definitely recommend the place! Ordered Tom Yum Seafood hotpot, large rice and papaya salad and it did us (wife & I) justice.

Pretty average made worse by paying to upgrade my noodles to include king prawns but they literally give you 1 prawn (it was rubbery anyway so 1 was enough but still not cool). Food was edible but not somewhere I would go back to. Wish I went & got sushi.

Unfortunately not a positive review. Ordered 2 entrees and 3 mains. The Kari puffs were fine but crumbed calamari were obviously frozen packet stock - they stunk! Pad Thai noodles were claggy, although flavour was OK. Prawn laksa tasted very sweet with large clumps of fried onion at the base of bowl and my son who ordered the garlic fish could only eat about 1/4 of his meal - fish was very salty and overcooked - he had to eat when we got back home. When asked at the counter how our meal was, the guy couldn't care less with a cusory, "sorry about that"... Are you serious?? Won't be back and do not recommend.

It was a great dining experience from yesterday evening. Me, my sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew had a good time and the food wasn't that bad, but my red curry sauce was a little bit watery and too spicy adding more chilli. But it's alright, although they were professional, lovely and polite.

Worst customer service ever. We were sitting at the desk and 10 mins later they asked us to leave as the they said table has been reserved for someone else which we didn't see any signs on there. Secondly, they wanted us to sit outside, whereas the tables inside still had some space. It was chilly outside too. Worst service. I hope there customer doesn't show up today. Please don't go as they don't know how to run a business.

Authentic Thai on the gold coast. Step inside and feel like your in Thailand. Asking for Thai hot got us great spicy meals.

Unique triangular shaped restaurant, decorated with 2 elephants and an assortment of bamboo wall decorations make an interesting decor. Service was quick and friendly, menu was extensive, prices were reasonable. We had the Pineapple Rice with Prawns and the Moo Gob (chicken with fried noodles). Both were delicious. Recommended.
