Lovely atmosphere but beyond awful experience. The aesthetic of the venue is quite homely and endearing but that is where the positives for this establishment end. The staff were bored and disinterested, the meals that we ordered were cold and of incredibly low quality – the mash potatoes for example was obviously powdered and the consistency of glue, the steak we ordered was reheated and had faux grill marks, the veggies were obviously from a frozen mix etc... Absolutely would not return or recommend anyone else to visit. Beyond awful experience

Quick service at lunch time for a basic chips and steak. Fairly average meal. Not great, but not terrible. Probably won’t try again given the number of options in the area. Partner’s mocha was nice though.

First time ever posting a google review. Literally the most repulsive meal of my life. Cold, brown chips, chewy chicken, stale bread, didn’t follow instructions with the order. Avoid at all costs.

Out of 8 places we tried for dinner on Sunday night, this was the only place that was able to seat 5 people and not take an hour to serve us. I had their wedges with cheese and bacon, which were quite delightful. They did manage to forget one of our orders, we brought it up to them and had a bit of a time trying to fix it, and that dish was then brought to another table. So we then gave up, didn't bother even getting a refund and went to a different restaurant for that member of our party. TLDR; Good food; average service.

Food was terrible! Thin, dry, over cooked snitty. No gravy or sauce to go with it, not even a dressing on the salad so it was dry and boring. Hot pot pie needed salt as was no flavour. Food is so over priced and not worth it at all, absolutely pathetic! Staff were disinterested and kept forgetting our drink orders. DO NOT RECOMMEND AND WILL NEVER GO BACK!

Don't bother. I rarely leave a review unless I have a super bad experience. Waited over an hour for food when the place wasn't even busy. When it did eventually arrive it was freezing cold and wasn't what we asked for. When we told a staff member he seemed to say sorry instantaneously as if he was used to apologising. They re-sent out some food but it still wasn't what we asked for. Advertised as an "Irish breakfast" and was far from it. Overpriced and gross.

Our drinks came out in dribs and drabs as did our food. Why wouldn’t you send out all meals together? None of the staff spoke English very well and the waiter couldn’t even answer any questions we had regarding food on the menu. My husband’s burger didn’t come with pulled pork and when we told the waiter, he said “yes we have run out”. Why not tell us that?? My seafood basket was nothing more than store bought frozen food heated up and there was stuff all on my plate for $25. Our sweet potato fries were burnt to the point that they were like potato chips. Way overpriced for basic food that I could have done better myself at home. Don’t waste your money eating here.

Very poor service and I am left questioning their safe food practices. We were given the wrong dishes. The dishes then were taken back off our table. In the current climate of COVID-19 I do question this practice. The also are unaware of how to cook medium steak, as rare steak was received. The wait staff were observed to be watching us eat after dishes were corrected which has left us feeling very uncomfortable. We will never return to this establishment. t

Portion sizes were large,lacking flavour and the steak was difficult to cut with even a steak knife.very chewy and not a nice piece of meat that’s for sure.cocktails were good.lamb shanks were not done long enough the lamb wasn’t falling off the bone and it was chewy.

Brought out 1 egg instead of 2. Waited 15 mins for another one. The kids breakfast with scrambled eggs (1 egg) looked the exact same as the eggs and bacon (2 eggs). Forgot our coffee order and they were the last things out for breakfast. Coffee, and I quote “tastes like poo” when it finally came out.

Had the rump steak special - definitely worth the price! Came with fries and salad on the side too. Was pretty hungry so we didn’t manage to take any pictures! Friendly staff and fast service too

We quite enjoyed their burger special, big serving, big meal, good flavors. Burger was juicy, messy but yummy! It’s perfect match with your favorite brew of beer or amaretto sour cocktail.

Okay so we came here because we were just hungry and wanted anything. Ordered the garlic prawns with high expectations but I did not taste any garlic with those prawns at all just sauce. Disappointing for the price. The lamb shank was great however!

Amazing chicken n bacon burger! An apple cider to sip on. Some fries!! 🍽🍔🍟🍺 Visit if around Surfers Paradise!! Location is also easily accessible by beach visitors but parking is a problem. Tough to find a car park.

After waking up late and not making it to brunch, I came upon this place and settled on it. The service from the wait staff was great, they were friendly and attentive. My food was less great. The beef and guiness pie was flavorful, the lamb shanks too but the sides really let the dishes down. Cut chips were cold and the salad was 4 leaves with some sauce. I recommend this if you like pub good and don't mind cold chips.

Staff were really friendly. Had garlic prawns which were a bit flavourless unfortunately. Nachos we're good and share platter with tempura prawns, wings and meatballs was mediocre.

Not overly impressed with this joint that obviously has the market so doesn't need to try very hard. Hubby ordered the lasagne that came out tasteless and bland. Looked as if it had been defrosted ten minutes ago from a supermarket brand. I ordered bangers and mash,with the bangers barely cooked through. No changes to any dish were allowed because I guess why would you when tourists are streaming past your front door. Tables were a tad grotty so do yourself a favor give this place a miss and go a few blocks back to where the locals eat.

It was good food, but expensive for size of the food. The service was okay as well. I think there would be better restaurants to pick over this one. But still satisfying...

Had the schnitzel special with cHips and salad was quit yummy for what you pay so no complaints there was small as expected. What wasn't expected was that a salt and pepper calamari salad for $24 would struggle to have six pieces of calamari on some miserable looking lettuce .. staff friendly and overall food was edible.. just wouldn't go back for it with so many other options.

Horrible. We ordered x2 Schnitzels and a Big Breakfast between the three of us. The Schnitzels has got to be the worst piece of chicken I've ever eaten... very obviously a frozen schnitzel from woolies/coles they just heated up and it just didn't taste right. While I finished mine and felt sick after, my fiance couldn't take more than a couple of bites of hers before deciding to leave the entire main. Food took over 50 minutes to arrive.

Sat here to drink and do some people watching. You can't beat this location for watching the world go by. The service is not good. The barman was disillusioned with life. Unfortunately he had to serve me a beer while in the middle of a phone call with his mate. I should've apologized to him but I was so thirsty I forgot. Very expensive but you pay for the location. Surfers really needs to revamp all these old casual dining areas and make them more funky and modern with an emphasis on good service.

Would eat here again. Taken the family here twice now once dining off the specials board the other going with the main menu. All meals were of good quality including the kids meals. Would eat there before eating at other local restaurants

Just had lunch here with 4 mates, food was alright, nothing to write home about but better than Maccas or HJ's. I felt it was a little overpriced for what it is, $17 for an average steak sandwich and $5 for a small can of Coke Zero, but my main gripe is with the server with the nose and lip piercings. Service on the Gold Coast is generally pretty bad, but this delightful lass takes the cake. From slamming food down onto the table, to literally shouting at us that she wouldn't split the bill and we would have to work out what we each owe. She displayed a complete lack of even basic service skills, and is probably better off in a role where rudely shouting at people is acceptable (maybe airport security?). Will definitely not be returning to this place.

Agree with previous review in terms of pub theme good food and I thought the price was quite reasonable and the service was very good. Perhaps the live music could have been not as loud!!

Hearty Meals on Cavill Mall. Late on a rainy night when all else but Maccas, KFC and the kebab joints had closed their doors and gone home, a warm welcome and hearty hot food was offered at Kitty O'Shea's. It's an Irish themed pub so not flashy but the meals were very good as was the service (admittedly it was a quiet night so maybe that helped). Not particularly cheap for pub food but the quality made up for that. I would happily return.
