Review Fables Restaurant - Surfers Paradise

Has the buffet breakfast for $29 (one of the cheapest buffet breakfasts in Surfers). It was surprisingly good. The truffle eggs and yogurt chia were delicious. The ambience is ok. Overall, worth it!

We went to fables seafood dinner buffet and charged 🤑17 dollars🤑 for my 4 year old daughter but she didn't eat seafood at all😂. There is Not much real food for kids only lots of sweets... They need to add some food for small kids. Feel over charged for my daughter. For me, it was nice dinner. Lamb, pork are cooked great. Crabs are not salty as some other seafood buffet.

Average seafood buffet. There were flies in the venue, surprising given it is indoor inside a hotel. If it wasn't for the 2 for 1 voucher available from the property we stayed at it would be overpriced.

Absolutely beautiful breakfast. All you can eat and everything so fresh and delicious. We'll definitely be going back again on our next coastal holiday. Highly recommend it 👌.

Great seafood, Western and Asian food buffet, with a great selection extending to the desserts and the wine buffet. Food was fresh and readily replenished. Staff are friendly and courteous. Furniture and decor is a little worn and dated, but a fantastic feed.

This was a return trip to Fables, we visited here a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it, for $40 each, I fail to see how you can’t get some value. Plenty of Prawns, the Oysters were small but just had to eat more of them....great Mussel and Octopus Salads, heaps of hot dishes, butter chicken was great, fried dumpling were tasty, heaps of desserts, finished off the with some Ice Cream and cheese, salami and crackers. staff are busy and keep on top of the shell bowls. I have nothing to compare it to but i enjoy it , just all round value for money really, and the best bit is you can have as much of what you like.

Seafood buffet two for one deal. Firstly, the service was excellent; from the young Indian lady on the front desk who remembered our name from the booking to the attentive waiters and the chefs who informed customers when dishes were coming up, they were all above expectations. I hope the management looks after such good staff. The wine buffet is a welcome innovation and the wines - red, white and sparkling - represented good value for money. In regard to the food, the oysters were small but very fresh, likewise the prawns. The seafood salads were tasty. Of the non-seafood dishes the pork with apple and maple glaze was a standout (and I'm ordinarily no fan of pork), being succulent.tender and tasty. Desserts were of a wide variety and a basic cheese board was also available. If you can get the two for one deal this represents v. good value dining in Surfers Paradise and is a must do. 3.5 stars from me, and I'm a hard marker. If the lamb and steak were up to the standard of the pork it would easily be 4 stars.

Really nice restaurant and decor the service was a little slow they don’t serve customers in order we where 1 of first to be seated and ate a plate each before we got our drinks other who came well after us had their drinks before they got their food. The food was nice for what there was but have been to other buffets far better for similar money.

Stayed at mantra legends for my stay at Gold Coast and had breakfast quite often here. Breakfast was good, kind of wish there were more vegetarian options but it wasn’t too bad. I ordered a mushroom risotto for room service, dinner, and it honestly wasn’t that good. Something about it tasted off and there weren’t even many mushrooms to begin with. Only good thing was that it came to our room still very hot. Also ordered a chai latte which was terrible and came cold. Not worth the money.

Booked for the Seafood Buffet, all I can say is don't do it! Bland seafood and the warm meat buffet, well meat very chewy and definitely not worth $79 per head. Better at the Chinese next door.

We found this restaurant online and thought that even though the reviews weren't the best we would see for ourselves. Well the reviews were correct. The place was terrible. Very dated deco, They had a good selection of salads however the seafood was below average and other main options were equally bad not worth the $65 per person

Not many options at all, especially for those with dietary requirements. Most of the salad contains meat which leaves no alternatives for vegetarians. The dessert bar was very sub par. My mother also said the seafood was very average. I also was disappointed that there was no a la carte option. Wouldn't go again.

Took the DIMMI promotion of 50% off the food bill to have a seafood buffet in this restaurant, which located inside the Manta Legend Hotel. Honestly, varieties of food were not that much comparing to its competitors say QT or Sheraton Mirage. However, the dining experience was impressive with the attentive service and comfortable ambience. Heroes of the night were the Mussels and Prawn Salad and the desserts. The sweet and juicy from the freshness of mussel meat perfectly matched with the sourness from the salad dressings. Moreover, it is the first time that I find desserts provided in buffets can be so delicious. I will be back even for the full price.

Highly recommanded. I've been to this place twice : breaky and dinner. Both were sensational : tasty food and diverse. The venue is great as well.

Buffet Breakfast. The breakfast buffet was part of my conference package deal. Stayed at Mantra for 5 nights but only bothered to eat breakfast there once. The hot selection was a little bit of a let down, not that appetising. The bacon was okay though. My choice if you are eating there is load up on the fresh fruit and pastries.

The dining room itself is inviting and comfortable, love the large soft blue chairs. Grab a seat overlooking the spill over pool.
