What a Great Find !! Really Friendly & Professional Service From Jordan. Located in the Heart of Surfers Paradise Within the Soul Complex. Great Menu Choices as Well as a Good Kids Menu. Not Cheap, But, Good Value. Had the Prime Rib With Salt & Pepper Calamari & My Dining Companions had The Pork Out Plate & the Kids Meals Steak & a Mac & Cheese. All Were Cooked to Perfection !!

Went for the first time with my family and we all loved it. The staff were really nice and we enjoyed our food! I ordered the vegan wrap, my family had the chicken parmigiana and fish and chips, they all loved it.

Staff are friendly and welcoming. Patience is essential as they are understaffed. Still, sat right away, order taken within 10 minutes and meal arrived in good time. Shared the ribs and a sunday. Great value.

It wasn't bad but it's not what it used to be. The mains cost a lot more for less food. The Apple Cobbler mentioned Granola. So I pictured something like an apple crumble but it was a small $12 moist apple slice. Overall it wasn't bad but too many corners have been cut to save money.

Would give it 0 stars if we could. Went here last night, everything was fine at the beginning we were seated and our orders were taken promptly. We then proceeded to wait 45 MINUTES for our SOFT DRINKS not even any cocktails or beers. We were then told our prime rib steak we had ordered 4 of was not available … 30 minutes after ordering it. So we got fillet instead and changed one of them to ribs. The ribs came out 20 minutes before the rest of the food and before the drinks, the young lady dumped them down on the table and walked away. Shortly after she proceeded to give drinks to the table next to us who arrived at least 20 minutes later and when my Mum asked about our drinks she responded rudely with “I’m getting them now” she then came back 5 minutes later and dumped the drinks on the table. 5 minutes after this the other meals came out, have th the medium rare ordered fillets came out blue so after complaint about this they were re-made, still blue and in edible. The female mentioned earlier was seen talking to another female co worker and they were constantly looking back at us as if they were talking about us - extremely unprofessional. Faces were made at us every time we had a reasonable issue or complaint by nearly all workers. The manager was probably the only good thing out of the experience we had here - he gave us 25% off for the issues but still $230 for what happened last night is appalling. Reading other reviews the experiences here don’t seem to be great and I think there is clearly a lot this “restaurant” needs to reflect on. Won’t Be back

The night we dined was very understaffed due to covid and they had a few new people to train, but that didn’t affect the service we received. We were seated quickly in a spot we were happy with and our drinks order was prepared quickly. We received our meal order quite fast too and it was beautiful, my husband thoroughly enjoyed his prime rib. Staff were professional, apologetic and friendly. Would definitely visit again next time we are at the Gold Coast!

So rocked up and was informed they were down to half the staff due to Covid. The manager, although obviously under pressure along with his team were fantastic and you wouldn’t have known there was a team shortage. Everyone was happy and we were served quickly. Food was great drinks came quick.. Thanks for a great night to all the team there.

They let my partner and I in and got us a table when bookings were preferred. Got our orders super fast too like only a 10 minute wait on a busy Saturday. And the natural prime rib steak was bloody delicious. Service was amazing, definitely coming back!

It was the worst experience I have ever had at hogs breath, the food was average and the staff( sorry should say what staff). Plates not cleared after each meal, never once did any one ask how our meals are and the manager was rude and very unfriendly. I will not let this one poor quality store ruin my opinion of hogs breath. I will never go back to this store again.

Substandard food, wait times were horrendous and staff really couldn't be bothered giving a damn, worst service ever. Considering we attended for my sisters birthday with a huge party in tow, thus meaning a large cheque at the end, I wouldn't recommend Surfers HB to anyone. Save yourselves the time, energy and disappointment - go to Maccas.

Tonight being the last night on the Gold Coast, I know how much my 7 year old daughter loves her steak, so decided to head out to have a nice steak together. I have had hogs breath about 6 times previously in Geelong and Melbourne, and I'm not one to complain, the service was actually pretty good, but the meal my daughter and myself received tonight I wouldn't feed to my dog, the amount of fat and gristle that was on both of our steaks was appalling, and to serve a child a steak with that much gristle and fat is disgraceful. Like I said before I'm never one to complain but tonight was a disaster, never again will I decide to head to another hogs breath cafe, thank you to the manager who discounted my bill by $12, the least you could of done is come and had a look at the meal that was served and discounted the whole meal, this review has only taken place from the great costumer service skills that you presented tonight

Dined here tonight but NEVER again. Seated promptly with a booking and waitress was pleasant. Ordered small bottle champagne but came out warm, let waitress know and another warm one came out so ordered a different drink. Ordered prime rib with prawns and garlic cream sauce and where do I begin, steak was inedible!!! Cold, over cooked, chewy, tasteless, there was nothing nice about it couldn't eat any of it, when waitress collected full plate I wasn't even asked was there something wrong plate just taken. Worst steak I've ever had and for the $41 price tag just not acceptable do there would never be return business here ���

Generally Hogs breath have amazing steaks..well at least in NSW they do. These however where the worst. They didn't even taste like steak. They had no flavour and had the consistency of some sort of reconstructed beef. I don't know who your supplier is but I've never had such rubbish almost fake meat.

Went to Hogs surfers Paradise Cahill ave on Saturday for lunch. It was not worth the 40 min wait for food that came out cold. We had a table of 7 and not one of the meals was worth the money. We then waited 10 minutes to pay for the food. Staff was rude and did not crack a smile at all.. paying customers are obviously a bourdon for your staff. Will not be returning.

Worst steak we both have ever had. Kids meals were fine except the ice cream was served in hot bowls straight from the dishwasher and was melted before it arrived at the table. Would never go back.

I arrived at surfers � paradise this afternoon and decided to have a late lunch. Googled hogs breath and realised it was still open. I got there at 2.15 pm and whilst the door was open they had the closed sign on the door. I asked the girl if they were still open. She said no -"we are having a slow day so we have closed the kitchen " mmmmm not happy at all. Thank goodness Charles was open - was able to get a great meal and a drink. Very very annoyed �

Service was far better than their Byron Bay Resturant and food slightly better. The chicken breast was like eating rubber. Over these restaurants far better places to eat so won't be back.

love hogs breath! Hawaiin chicken is our favourite although my kids had a wrap and a burger last night and they loved them! Always friendly staff

Beyond disappointed with our dinner! Out for tea on our honeymoon & my husband suggested Hogs Breath as he's been to one before & raves about it! I was a newbie to it! I ordered a steak sandwich and not only was it lukewarm, the piece of steak was barely as thick as my napkin!! As a trained chef I couldn't believe I was paying $24 for such a crap piece of over cooked & pathetic meat! I had the sweet potato wedges & they weren't cooked through, I could eat perhaps half! My husband had the brisket burger, it came out with no onion rings & a dismal amount of meat! - not even close to worth the money & I don't care how you long you cooked it! He is still hungry & we're currently at McDonald's! So now I'm frustrated with myself because as a general rule I don't complain (you never know what's gone on in the kitchen to cause an accident), BUT we're out of pocket, still hungry & it's just ruined what should have been our lovely night out!! So we've just wasted good money & your business has infuriated me & my husband! Thanks a lot! ���

Sorry had to edit my post as we decided to go back to hogs breath for 2 nights in a row. We were seated by the manager and than left with our disgruntled child for the next 45 mins, from there we had to ask one of the staff members to bring us some fried to keep our little one calm, we then waited another 30 mins before getting up again to ask the waiter to come take our order. We were then told that there were none of the 18 hour slow cooked steaks left..... at this stage we were not happy and to hear that a juicy steak was not on the cards was not good news, if we were served at the proper time we would have got the steak that we paid for..... food was dreadful, service was worse even know we were personally served by the manager and our little boy had a cheese pizza that was tomato sauce on a piece of Turkish.... not happy will not be going back

So happy with our slow cooked steaks tonight. My partner and I are rare steak eaters so we always ask for as rare as we can get knowing they are cooked for a period of time. Steak came out still very pink on the inside but absolutely melted in your mouth. Salad was great and so were the fries. Best hogs breath experience we have ever had. Thanks again guys, will be back the next time we visit Surfers Paradise. Staff super friendly and came to check on our meals. Absolutely amazing

Worst dinner ever. Was my daughters birthday, took forever to take our orders so we ordered entree's, mains and deserts at same time. When drinks arrived they forgot an orange juice. Entrees finally arrived after a long wait, then after another long wait deserts arrived, no mains. They took deserts back then we waited over half hour for mains. Then another wait for deserts again. Totally spoilt my daughters birthday celebration. Over 2 hours with a 2 year old who by the end was very cranky. Terrible service will never go to hogs breath again

Absolutely disgusting service. We were seated quickly and our order for 7 ppl was taken promptly. That was the end of the service. We ordered drinks along with 6 adult meals and 1 child's meal. The drinks and the child's meal arrived almost straight away while the other 6 meals still hadn't arrived 70 mins later. It wasn't busy like you would expect for a long wait. We asked several times how long it would be and kept getting advised 5 mins longer. Eventually we paid for our drinks and the kids meal was given to us but we left there without eating. Hogs breath this is a joke.

There wasn't one bad thing about it, only got the light size steak but still couldn't eat all of it. The steak was tender and melted in my mouth. Kids also eat free Monday nights so was an extra bonus. Staff was also very nice and helpful, thinking of going back tonight before we head off home.

One of the best restaurants around. Place is always clean and staff are very friendly. Food is well presented and cooked how you like it. It's also great value for money. Recommend Hogs Breath to anyone who wants a good meal in a pleasant atmosphere.

Absolutely disgusted with this restaurant. I ordered a steak sandwich and the steak was absolutely horrible. Burnt , grizzly and full of fat. Complained to the manager and treated me like an idiot and tried to explain to how the steak is cooked. Don’t tell me how to cook a steak when it is a piece of left over meat from the prior day. I expect a good meal for the money I pay. I will never eat at a Hogs Breathe Cafe again after today’s experience at this restaurant. Staff were extremely rude and other diners were not happy as well.... This restaurant really needs to have a look at its staff and attitude towards clients.

Dinner on a Saturday night at hoggies with two young children- quick to be seated and had a very polite and nice waitress!!! Great food and service and amazing staff!!!

I thought Ipswich was the worst I've been too but this one tops it.... the worst service ordered a drink ( 3 times for the same the 1 drink ) took an hour to finally get it... we have 3 kids at the table and they didn't even offer colouring in for them.... booked a table for 14 two weeks ago and we got put in 2 booths seriously will never be back we will go to our regular BROADBEACH they are amazing!!

We had lunch at hoggies sufers today. On arrival we were greated and seated by a pleasant young man. Our drink orders were taken and our drinks arrived promptly. Our lunch orders were taken and arrived before my first beer had been consumed. Well done. My excitement for a fabulous lunch soon dissipated when i examined my steak. To describe my steak as dry would be an understatement much like saying Michael Jordan wasn't geat at baseball. A young man by the name of Cory asked how our meals were. After i told him the quality of my steak made me feel like crying, he arranged for the manager to come check out my steamed piece of cardboard. To the credit of the store i recieved a fresh and larger piece of steak within minutes. The steak was delicious. Although the first one resembled stone paver recycled from the bronze age the service i recieved and replacement steak made up for it. The service here today especially from Cory was a perfect example of custom service done well. Please give this young man a pat on the back and maybe a few extra dollars in his pay packet.

Always love coming here! Great service the staff are always friendly and efficient. The steaks are cooked to perfection and have a good choice of kids meals.

Took our visitors from Melbourne to Hoggies surfers during com games, . 2 of us were sick that night and couldn’t attend comm games event next day! Meat was fatty and we were rushed to the extent of still eating our awful mains and being served our desert. Spent $170 that night will never go back to Hoggies it isn’t what it used to be��

Food was delicious ... The service was wonderful. Clayton (our waiter) was very friendly and helpful. When he asked to see our daughters ID he realised she had turned 18 a few days before and organised a mud cake with sparkler and they sang Happy Birthday to her !! It made our dining experience so much more memorable 👍🏻 Thank you 😊
