Review Manolas Bros Deli Bar Bistro - Surfers Paradise

The best garlic focaccia/pizza I've ever had. Will always order one when I go now, I'm hooked. Have had friendly staff each time. Well maintained seating area and good atmosphere. Great selection of goods in their deli! Highly recommend there pizza and pasta. Fresh, tasty, quality ingrediants you can definitely tell when you bite into it. Adore their caprese, another dish I recommend if you're a lover of tomatoes and cheese. Unfortunately all my effort was reserved for eating as opposed to taking a decent photo. This is my go to brunch place now :)

I have been waiting a long time to find this pizza...this place is it. #1 on the Gold Coast. No single ingredient is skimped on here, everything is top quality and you can seriously taste the difference. I am hooked. Thank you from a very grateful Italian!!!

The lunch was great, Calabrese pizza 10/10, best pizza we've found on the Gold Coast - so far. The heirloom tomato salad was a good combo with the pizza, loved the grapes.

Manolas never disappoint. They are consistently outstanding in their service, helpfulness and attention to detail. The breakfast choices we made were prepared with care and I want to commend the chef's team for catering for a near full house in a consistently timely manner. For gourmands, this is a place where one can find little delicate wonders as I did before Christmas when I were looking for Crème de marron.

I'm disappointed to say that my experience here (first time) was a bit average. Being that it's always quite busy, I had high hopes for the food, but the eggs benny was nothing special and not worth the $22 price tag. The pancakes were good, and while the coffees were fine, we'd asked for a mug and and it came in a glass 🤷🏻‍♂️ Taste: ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Value for money: 💰💰💰/5 Customer service: ❤️❤️❤️❤️/5 Atmosphere: 😍😍😍😍😍/5 Will visit again: 🚫

Had pizza and pasta today at lunch and as a picky eater I would say they deliver authentic Italian tastes 🤤

Visited with the family great service from Arthur engaging and fun while being efficient and got everything right. Food as always spot on and delicious. Kids had a great time and all left very full. Eggs Benny awesome, NY Cheesecake and Vanilla Slice disappeared very quickly Thanks and see you next visit Maclean Family

Been here a couple times and the food and drink never disappoint me. We ordered steak, fish of the day, massaman beef pie, Asian noodle salad, brown rice salad, ice chocolate, mocha cake. I must say i usually don’t like salad but these salad are divine!

Great Place for coffee!  Great mall with excellent cafes and food.  A must visit while in the Gold Coast.  The better place for cafes and coffee in this area of the Gold Coast.

Eating Breakfast here is possibly the greatest thing you'll ever do. <br/>The buttermilk pancakes are oh so soft and fluffy, and don't even get me started on the big breakfast! Those little tiny mustard hash browns go so perfectly with everything on the plate. <br/>Highly recommend

At long last I get the opportunity to indulge in the Manolas Bros Cafe experience. Though my friend and I had no food today, our drinks have been exceptionally tasty and refreshing. Highly recommend coming. Also a fantastic delicatessen.

So. Many. Choices! I was, as usual, overwhelmed and had food envy when my partners continental came out - the chorizo was particularly tasty. Next time, I'll skip the menu altogether and just check out the deli cabinet. My eyes were on the paella salad, mornay crepes and that burrito... aaaah!

A bit of something and a bit of nothing: <br/>Ok, so there is heaps of deli choice, all sort of goodies for home cooking foodies. However, in-house (Manolas Bros) made food is hit and miss. Always pleasing to the eye but rarely delivers with taste and flavour. I've been here few times. It's convenient and it's a perfect place for a coffee and a biscuit :) <br/>Back to food - salad bar looks fabulous but salads do not have the right balance of ingredients; pies stacked up behind a display window are always very dry; filo pastries are quite dry too --- considering their Mediterranean heritage I'd expect they'd get the filo pastry dishes right. <br/>All in all - great grocery store but don't expect too much food wise.

Very nice restaurant with a great range of products available, however, I ordered a Tahitian lemon tart and was underwhelmed. It was a bit gelatinous so the texture wasn't nice.

A hidden gem! We visited this fabulous delicatessen on the Isle of Capri & discovered it also serves meals, ready made take away food & meals, pies, rolls, coffee & a great range of wonderful cakes/sweet treats.<br/>We visited again today to try breakfast & couldn't fault it: Eggs benny with bacon for me, potato hash with leg ham, poached eggs, homemade basil hollandaise & rocket salad for him, plus two large hot coffees for $45.<br/>We both liked the big swirl of hollandaise on the side too.<br/>This deli is an authentic delicatessen with an awesome range of smallgoods, cheeses, gourmet foods, fancy sweets & chocolates and pretty much anything else you'd imagine. At this time of year, they also stock beautiful chocolate Easter rabbits in 3 sizes.<br/>Take the opportunity to pick up some special deli items while you're there.<br/>You order at the counter, with tables outside, looking out on the carpark. (which was fine, just don't expect water views.)<br/>Service was excellent, accommodating, low key & accommodating.<br/>We really look forward to going back to try some other interesting things on the menu.<br/>

I ordered the wagu burger and my partner got the gobble sandwich. The burger was satisfying and the chips were great. The gobble sandwich was good. Good sized portions, could have come with some fries for $16 though. Table service here would have been nice considering the prices. Overall a good experience in a very nice location

The deli side of the establishment is incredible and beautifully set up. There is so much beatiful looking food in there. The cafe side seemed like a bit of a half assed addition but the food was really nice. I ordered the acai bowl which was the best I've had and my partner opted for the quesadilla which was portioned largely and looked delicious. The service was mixed with some staff good and others not so much. On the down side It's a little more expensive than other great Cafes and the coffee was way too small (great quality though).

Breakfast best to so so in 14 days. This was best on coast for breakfast but now seems to have changed . No more omeletes , service slow not for me now . gary

Pathetic. We had a bad experience here once before but we thought we would give it one more go as the food available in the cabinet's always looks nice. What a mistake! After ordering food for 3 people totalling a good $50 (before drinks), i asked if they could make my 20 month old daughter a simple cheese sandwich - bread and cheese, which they had plenty of both. Unfortunately this was not an option, "we cannot deviate off the menu" i was told by one of the 6 people behind the counter who were standing around not doing much. They had a total of 5 customers in a pretty big space just before lunch. One would think any business would't turn down a possible $70 sale when quiet, but these fools do - and it's the second time! The last time we couldn't order lunch at 11:45am as they only served it from 12pm....unbelievable that they would make potential business wait 15 minutes to order something off the lunch menu as easy as a pie & chips???!!!

Fantastic food, great service. Welcoming atmosphere and fabulous location. Will be back when next down the Coast.

A taste treat. The range of Salami and Cheese is excellent and the home cooking is mouth watering. I wish I could take it back to NZ with me. This will be a definite stop when I return to GC.

Breakfast was great this morning. I love the variety on offer including options for different food intolerances. Good coffee and juice options too. It's my go to place when visiting Broadbeach

Isle of capri deli was overpriced, the food was digusting, was told at 11. 30 that i could not order off the lunch menu to which 2 ladies behind me walked off in disgust and said they would eat elsewhere. I then ordered two salads and my friend also ordered salad and a frittatta. the salad although all different tasted the same and dripping in oil couldn't eat them, my friends frittatta was supposed to be zucchini and dill well don't know where that was hiding it was a big pat tie if bread. YOU PAY TOP DOLLAR 4 THE MOST DISSAPOINTING MEAL I HAVE EATEN WINT BE GOING BACK

Impressive. Came here for breakfast. Sat outside, but was impressed with the deli ambience inside.<br/>We had the mini breakfast and cajun mushrooms with a side of smoked salmon. All done really nicely. Interesting flavours and satisfying (but not over the top) serving sizes.<br/>The coffee was fine but could be improved.<br/>I'll be returning next time I'm in the area.

Whole experience was very average. My salt n pepper calamari was way over salted an under cooked. My mums salad was smothered with sweet chilli sauce of some sort and not edible. We hoped dessert would be better but wasn't. The brownie was a light flavour less cake and the cheesecake was sadly lacking caramel taste and was not a nice gelatin based cheesecake. Won't be back. Pity cause the cheeses look amazing

Sad expensive food. Had VERY disappointing breakfast here. Ordered poached eggs+avocado+mushrooms. After long wait came out with tiny portions PLUS bacon. Sent it back and after long wait came back but was cold. Obviously had taken off bacon and forgotten to bring out. When told waitress was very disappointed she said would pass it on. That's it! And very expensive!

Best coffee on the Gold Coast. Best coffee hands down for miles on the GC. Yummy food not too heavy and gluten free options - bless your souls! Salads are DE-LIC-OUS! Unlike most places on the coast, this place has character like a kind of New York deli vibe - great for people watching.

Best lunches so far on the coast. We love this place. Food is always good, and service friendly. love browsing the deli too. Hope this place never closes down.

Not bad. Good location, great selection of breakfast and lunch. Coffee needs improving. Deli itself has a great selection of goodies. Overall i like this place.

Always a nice informal eat here. Coffee sometimes overstrength otherwise no complaints. Counter ordering works well, follow up table service sharp. Try the ceasar with chicken, yum.

Great deli. Have had breakfast here which was pretty good, service was ok and ambiance is great, its a good looking deli/cafe just up one of the side streets in broad beach. Lots of fresh food and pre-made meals which can be handy if you are travelling and don't want take-away food. Lots of gourmet food as well.

MBD - Foodie Heaven!. I love this place for breakfast or lunch, eat in or takeaway. Yesterday I had the big breakfast which was HUGE, hard to find a big breakfast that fits the descrptions these days.<br/><br/>Eggs poached perfectly and the potato rostis were delicious!<br/><br/>It is almost impossible not to take home a few of their gormet pies and salads with you. I have done this before and haven't been disappointed.

Shocking service. Have been a customer for years and will never return. Asked for a simple change to a menu item (removal of avocado) only to be told that it was not possible.. I didn't realize that not putting an item of food on a dish was THAT difficult. Shocking service and bad attitude from both waitress and manager. You've lost a loyal customer today.
Graham
No customer service. The manolas brother need to go back to Tafe and learn some customer service there attitude to customers and their staff is so bad in today's economy ...ps you can not trick customers by putting food all over the front of the counter and forgetting service!!!!!!!

Went there for breakfast & ordered 2 serves of bacon & eggs with tomato and toast for $13.90 each. When it arrived we were surprised that they only provide 1 piece of toast? Seems a bit tight to me. Left feeling hungry. First time ever we have only received 1 piece of toast and considering cost it isnt good enough.

Absolutely SHOCKING manager. I have never met a more shocking manager.<br/><br/>I have eaten at the Deli a number of times as I have always been happy with the standard of food they serve. Plus I'm a Coelia,c and they cater for gluten free diets. <br/><br/>I went inside to order a gluten free bruschetta but was told they wouldn't do it, not that they couldn't as they definitely had gluten free bread. I told them I was confused because I'd had it before but they still refused as 'the menu could not be changed.' I ordered an omlette, but after 5 minutes went back up and asked to speak to the chef. The chef was not present and instead i got the pleasure of being abused by the manager. She turned around from her seat behind me and extremely rudely said 'Just do it, because you're being ridiculous - theres no reason to get so upset.' All whilst waving her hand at me. <br/><br/>I went back outside and my friends and relatives asked what had happened. I told them that the manager agreed to make it gluten free but was incredibly rude. They asked who the manager was and as she walked out i said 'that woman.' She heard this and turned around and at the top of her voice, in front of all her customers said, 'Who me? Really? What about me?' and walked away. <br/><br/>Next, our table was all brought drinks, mine was convinently brought out last, by the manager. She asked who the coffee belonged to and i answered that it was mine. Just before she put it down i said 'thank you,' and she slammed it down and said 'you're not welcome.'<br/><br/>I have never been to a resturant with such poor service run by a manager with such poor hospitality skills, and people skills at that.<br/><br/>Visit the Deli if you enjoy being treated in such a shocking manner. Otherwise I'd avoid at all costs. The food is good, but not good enough to outway such immaturity and pathetic customer service.

Food was great..egg white omelette was fluffy & had loads of mushrooms & advocado. Friends eggs Benedict were amazing. I know they get fresh eggs direct from the farm & make their own bene sauce from scratch daily, this is one place that does not take short cuts. My short black was way too strong though but that's just minor when everything else was fantastic. Even the staff were pleasant when they're insanely busy & under pressure

Forget It. Well as with my title may give you a hint into my dining experience at manolas Deli it was horrible. I went with my partners family for a birthday lunch as the GC has been buzzing with MBS on the radio etc. The waitress confused our order dramatically and the wrong drinks came out all at different times and silly things like wholegrain bread instead of white? (This is childs play if you can afford to have ads on your radio you should spend money on hiring Waitress's not school kids on you weekend). After the meals came out wrong they couldnt understand where they went wrong and we ended up eating it as it took half and hour to 45 mins to complete also making it a birthday lunch to AVOID!!!

Great Deli. Probably the best deli on the Gold Coast offering a good selection of deli produce, meditteranean dry goods as well as serving meals. Good quality traditional italian cafe style fare served in a nice deli atmosphere.
Carley Ludlow
Amazing!. One of the best Deli's on the Gold Coast, feels like something straight out of Melbourne!
James Gleeson
Good simple food great place for sandwich or a burger. Good service with a good deli. Worth the visit.

Unlike the quiet street outside, MBD is a hive of activity. The kitchen runs hot supplying breakfasts and light lunches. You can choose from the deli cabinet of salads and freshly baked goods, or have dishes made to order. Lunches, which range from $12 – $23, have a definite Mediterranean feel: Greek M

...there is an amazing variety of food on Manolas’ breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu. Burgers, salads, deli sandwiches, curries, and pasta are made to order, or you can peruse the deli cabinet for fresh salads and savoury baked goods.

I fear I won't be able to have breakfast anywhere else knowing this exists!!
