This place looked quite appealing given it’s location on the main strip of caville ave. We just recently moved up from NSW and decided to get some ice cream. The scoop serving was extremely small and shocked given the cost we paid. Secondly, my strawberry sorbet was very bitter. My daughter liked her choc mint which was quite delicious, however it’s far cheaper to just go to Coles or Woolworths and buy ice creams.

super stingy with ice cream scoops. paid ten dollars for three scoops and the small cup was still half empty. the icecream doesn’t taste very good either. The server seemed irritated and didn’t put any effort into being nice.

Flavours are great, but the Asian lady that served us was rude and when they are charging $7.85 for a two scoop cup and give you scoops the size of ping pong balls, you feel very ripped off. Better off going to the gelato shop just down a little further.

I'm part Swiss so I take a lot of pride with Movenpick and perhaps have some subconscious love bias ;) I had the swiss chocolate scoop and mint chocolate scoop in a cup - so much chards of chocolate in these flavours that it feels like I'm eating bits of chocolate more than I am icecream.

My first neg review in my life and never wanted to do this to any business. I ordered a Caramel frappe with extra ice and it tasted horrible (the Caramel flavour was too strong) . I asked to exchange it for a vanilla milkshake. The man (assumed owner) outright refused. I explained that in a professional business (any mövenpick ever) would allow an exchange. Hope this review affects his business negatively.

The girl who served us today was the most sour, impersonable and just altogether unpleasant person we've come across. The icecream was average and the scoop sizes were pathetically small. Do yourself a favour and go to Baskin & Robbins, Gelatissimo or any of the other ice cream places in Cavill, where you'll actually get a full scoop worth of icecream for your buck. Never going back to this place again, or any other Movenpick for that matter.

Can these business owners get anymore stingy? I think corporate of movenpick needs to look into their business practices.
Scoops are no where near normal sizing, shakes have almost no ice cream and are very watery / milky.
As a franchisee you have to follow the correct sizing guidelines and STOP RIPPING OFF CUSTOMERS!
not sure how they’ve gotten away with it for this long.
On top of this they’ve fraudulently refused to hand out the free ice cream claim that was promoted through the rewardle app.

I bought three scoop ice cream and I asked for extra spoon. The very horrible crazy chinese lady shouted on me and saying "One cup one spoon". I said I am ready to pay extra for spoon. She didn't give me spoon at all and keep shouting on me 4 times. "one cup one spoon"

Would rate no stars if I could. Scoop size is ridiculously small (smaller than a ping-pong ball), other Movenpick stores are usually more generous. They charge $1 for an extra empty cup, whilst other Movenpick stores charge 20c, 50c or free. Daughter wanted to taste one of the flavours before she chooses which to go with & was told "no tasting". Staff don't smile either. Maybe we have to pay for their smiles too!<br/>The shop front bar/counter and seating is always dirty. No wonder other ice-cream stores on this same strip of the Gold Coast are much busier.

The worst operator/franchisee out there. <br/>The ice cream (movenpick) brand itself is awesome. I’ve always loved them however, this little shack in the middle of surfers paradise is operated by the stingiest franchisee I’ve ever see. <br/><br/>👉I asked for a milkshake. I was going to get a boost but decided to try a milkshake. Thinking that a place like movenpick would definitely know how to make amazing shakes. <br/><br/>Boy was I wrong. The Asian guy put the tiniest bit of icecream and drowned it with milk. <br/>I basically received milk with slight icecream flavouring. <br/><br/>I can’t belive he hasn’t gone out of business yet, but it won’t be long. <br/><br/>Wish I would have read the reviews before going there, but movenpick was always a beloved brand to me, so I didn’t expect this. 🤷♂️

Ice cream had a nice flavour and is smooth but is very pricey for what you get. I suppose this is to be expected for this location. <br/>None the less, I have been to some other places and the serving size is bigger.

Ice Cream sandwich a bit doughy. They had 3 selection for egg and dairy free ice cream. Not overly friendly. Good, nice ice cream when you need a fix

This was the most overpriced milkshake I've ever had. My little one is literally obsessed with milkshakes and this one was $10. And they used home brand Coles milk too. Hmm. <br/><br/>For the money you'd expect a quality local supplier (norco or a fancy one) but was a squirt of syrup and Coles milk. Seriously.
