Review Kawaii Japanese Curry Restaurant - Surfers Paradise

Great authentic Japanese ramen! One of the best in Gold coast. Less frills in store but quick good service and nothing but tasteful ramen. They offered free noodles as well.

Probably the worst ramen I've ever paid for. In fact I actually make it better myself in around 20 minutes. Edit: In response to the owners question (I'm not sure how else to do this) The broth was below par. No substance or thickness. May as well have been a chicken stock cube boiled in water. The chashu was just thinly sliced pork (not even sure if it was the belly) and hadn't been marinated or cooked to a Japanese standard at all. There was no soft boiled egg or any bamboo shoots or bean spouts. The noodles tastes as if they were from a maggies 2 minute noodle packet. All the "ramen" you guys are selling is a glorified 2 minute noodle soup. Just a bunch of spring onions a little bit of pork in a hot chicken stock soup with 2 minute noodles...... and you charge $14. Plus your staff didn't even know what tsukemen was which shows a lot about there knowledge on Japanese ramen. Poor effort, please try harder

Very authentic, simple menu, delicious and free noodles. The Charsiu Ramen is a fav from the menu.

Excellent ramen and melt in your mouth pork chashu. As good as any bowl I've ever had.

To be honest. Hakataya Ramen is one of my favourite ramen places in Brisbane. However this sister Resturant on GC surfers paradise is really let me down. Be here a couple times already the soup stock which is the essence of ramen is not nearly as good as the shop back in Brisbane. It is very light and watery. Especially the miso spicy ramen, rather plain and flat fav like hot water mixed with miso paste and some chilli powder. I’m sure it is not like that but the quality is really not up to my expectation.

Broth has no MSG and tastes amazinggggg, I can never feel enough sipping their tonkotsu broth, wish there was more broth per bowl. They offer 1 x free extra ramen each serving. Staff are friendly.
