Review Chevron Social Eatery - Surfers Paradise

Terry Nicolson
Terrific cafe. Super friendly staff. Has good coffee and sumptuous sweets. Nice view and brilliant location on Chevron Island. A stone's throw from the heat of Surfers Paradise. Go inside if you want to be out of the humidity, much dryer.

Good food at very affordable prices. Puppy friendly, as I sat outside. Friendly staff. Definitely coming back. Right in the heart of Chevron Island, it’s easy to get to.

Amazing food and fresh juices! Track or cutlery and having to ask twice for water was the only disappointment! Will be back to try more of the menu!!!

Great litle cafe for that sunday brunch or wednesday breaky for that matter. Both lunch and breaky definately worth droping in for. A grest place to catch up over coffee. Staff are friendly, helpful all with a smile. Even chef mingles ....yes chef !!!. Will be taking my lady there again for breaky thats for sure. Second review. Dropped in for my breakfast on my birthday. Once again food was spot on and staff went out of their way to help us enjoy our meal. Thanks for the laughs chef and staff msking my birthday begin with a smile and a craker of a breaky.

Staff are really super, nice and friendly. Sometimes the music is too loud. Food great. Great Pitaya bowls. We really enjoy our time there. Highly recommend.

Where to start... 1. Management here need to pull their heads in and put more staff on. Being cheap and stingy on staffing while charging $9 for juice is terrible. 2. Kitchen staff need to understand an order written in Australian English. 3. Never give your customers warm water paired with hot glasses from the dishwasher. 4. Never, ever, make your customers wait 50 minutes for a vegetable stack when you have less than 3 covers/tables in the cafe. 5. Listen to your staff, if they say that they need more people on the floor during lunch service on a Friday then put someone on the floor. Don't bother with this place, the cafe down the way is much more efficient.

Hands down the most underated place to eat on the Gold Coast. Amazing food, even better prices with great friendly service. You would think you were in Thailand. Don't get this normally in Australia!

Cheaper than most on the Island, Big Brekkie @ just $10 definitely worth a visit. Would be 5 stars but often need another person on the floor.

Orange Almond muffin.. is to die for... especially being on a gluten free diet, it was delicious.

The new kid in the block still has work to do to compete with the Chevron Island cafe scene! Staff were not up to speed with their service or the menu! We came in for breakfast during a quiet period of the morning and immediately there was a breakdown in communication between staff which inevitably led to one of our meals not being made at all. Staff were very apologetic. It is understandable that they have just recently opened but i believe first impressions last and these in house teething problems should be ironed out before paying customers are allowed through the door! Overall the menu looked great with very competitive prices but more focus on customer service, training staff and some background music would go along way!

My coffee was really good and barramundi was really nice would have liked a bit more fish and salad the serving was tiny . However my friends Moroccan chicken salad was a whole grain mustard chicken salad , not Moroccan unfortunately as she was looking forward to some spice. We will come back but hope the owners take note of the menu and serve the food that's ordered.

We like coming here for the food but the attitude from person who is here all the time is pathetic. Shame we try to avoid her.

Egg used are caged. Although its not said. In todays society its hard believe a cafe would still be using caged eggs. Shame
