Review Free Range Chicken Shack - Surfers Paradise

Best pulled chicken burgers I've ever had! The taste was amazing and the portions were very generous. My fussiest 4 year old didn't make one complaint and I highly recommend trying this place. Also tried the fried chicken and my God it was delicious. Their spice combo is original and a flavour to remember. Do yourself a favour and eat here, great value for money and you will leave with full bellies.

I went when they first opened and had chicken, chips and salad. I didn't like the sauce or spice on the chicken, it tasted bitter not a nice flavour at all, and the salad wasn''t great either, I only enjoyed the chips.

The hot & spicy wicked wings are AMAZING! Being next to Nandos they have direct competition, but they win every time! I'm a huge fan of Nandos but Chicken Shack's wings are fantastic. If you can handle the heat, hot & spicy is definitely the best choice. It is a bit expensive ($12.50 for 5 wings), but the flavour be beaten. Maybe a drop to $10 would make it more appealing.

The staff are very friendly, and their food is served quickly, presented well and tastes delicious. And to top it off, it's free range! Great sized portions and fantastic value for money

this place was a little quiet and small but it had the best fried chicken I've had in a while. we had the hot and spicy wings. so good!

Service was lack and groaned annoyingly when I asked to see the cup sizes for their gravy. The chicken was average and quite small with no stuffing. Honestly wouldn't recommend if you are after a hot chicken. Your better off going to the Coles another 25m away and getting a hot chook and some microwave gravy for litterally nearly half the price.

The girl is lovely. Their hot wings are the best and their hand cut chips are delish. Not many people know about this place, it's a hidden gem in Varsity!

Best in town, love the spices, love the chicken love the beans and hands down on the jolof rice. Great price and wonderful staffs. Thank you chicken shack for your soul food.

The food here is amazing!! I hate to admit how many times I have eaten here but with food that tastes this good! Thank you for your kind service every single time! Would highly recommend!

Wow! This place is where the flavor is at. The jollof rice, chicken and home made sauce is heaven on a plate. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Love the music and vibe. Will be back again soon. Thanks guys! :D

Man, this is best chicken spot in the whole coast. If you like chicken hot, spicy, or just with some mad flavor. This is place to go. They even have all you can eat hot wings on Wedensday.. beware they are hot and big =D

Absolutely amazing!!! Talk about food for the soul, every bite was just heavenly! The flavour of the spices coating the chicken wings teases and tantalises the tastebuds for more and oh dear Lord, you'd be hard pressed not to get addicted! This little shop is tucked away from the busyness of the main Surfers Paradise strip but it is definitely worth checking out just because it's not only a place for a quick feed but a truly beautiful and nourishing experience for the mind, body and soul! Keep doing what you're doing guys because it is just nothing short of wonderful.

This is my first time in Australia, and over the week I’ve tried this place twice, and twice they underdelivered. From the chicken not being done and still being pink on the inside, to it not even being clean, this place is absolutely unacceptable especially to be located in a tourist destination such as surfers paradise. On my second most visit, I️ ordered spicy wings and I️t was literally dried fried chicken, with a drop of hot sauce on each chicken and the box shaken up. I️ called to share my findings and I️ was met with a ‘that’s just how our spicy wings are’. Not to mention, in the other dish I️ ordered the chicken was still a noticeable pink. The sauce I️ requested for my rice was incredibly salty, I️ could only imagine the stew was salty too. This food was poor value, overpriced, with subpar service and quality. Two chicken meals in excess of $40.00. Give me a break, save your wallet and your appetite for McDonalds. Only people who don’t know food would honestly enjoy!
