Review Alpha Seafood Restaurant - Surfers Paradise

Looking forward to the buffet breakfast, was a total disappointment, their fruit selection included 3 pieces of watermelon, and dried out rock melon. The scrambled egg was all dried out and only 1 piece of over cooked bacon, when we asked for more it took over half an hour for it to come out. Overall very dirty, will not be going back and not recommending on.

It's crap. Went there for a birthday 79th dinner. Ordered 2 steaks medium...medium rare. Both were well done and couldn't finish it. Both were really small. Drinks were forgotten. Didn't want to upset mum on her day. Asked the waitress when paying....she took the order wrong. No apology. Never going back

Without a doubt the worst buffet I've ever been to. They advertised deep fried oysters which is the only reason our party of four decided to eat there and were told they were unavailable. The rest of the food was disgusting.

Fantastic we were a party of 11 all staying at Crown Towers, we all went for breakfast each morning and received great service value for money no complaints. We also enjoyed our evening meals on the occasions we ate there good choice and again value for money. Happy Hour was a bonus. We will be back. We found the staff very helpful always willing to assist when needed

Without a doubt the most poor quality buffet we have ever been to. Found this horrible excuse of a buffet on Scoopon thinking this was going to be a wonderfully affordable eat in the Gold Coast for the family. Sure enough the Mantra is a high end service and you would believe that dining in there would be a pleasant experience, but even when we set foot onto the premises we soon knew this wasn't going to be the case. The food was the worst quality I've ever seen and to even call this place a buffet is offensive to anyone who likes all you can eats. Flavourless, dry and plain disgusting. Speaking of dry the pork skin, it was as hard as tree bark and would if tasted better than what I got on my plate. The wagyu beef is a further lie to lure people in. A 13 year old girl which is me knows this is not wagyu beef. If you like scams and fake food advertised under the Mantra's name then this place is for you. Oh, I also forgot to mention this place is not even remotely associated with the Mantra, which I found out myself from the assisting staff. This "restaurant" is rather is a scam that draws people into a fake reality of dining at an actual adequate place. If you like scams and so called food that will leave you feeling sick then this place is for you. Ruined our night and we all regret not visiting McDonald's for Dinner as it undoubtedly would taste better.

If I could give negative stars I would. My wife and I ordered a serve of wedges with chilli sauce and sour cream, salmon with mash potato and salad and vanilla thick shake. We ordered and were directed to sit on the couches just inside the dining area. Now I would expect at a restaurant during a busy dinner period that the maximum expected waiting time would be around the 35-40 minute mark, keeping in mind all I've ordered is a serve of wedges, a fillet of salmon, mash potatoes and a salad. This was not the case. After 5 minutes of waiting we got our thick shake, after 10 minutes we were the only takeaway order waiting and there were only 4 other family's in the dinning room. It was not that busy. 50 minutes later, after my thick shake is now warm milk and there has not been any reassurance of how far away our order is, we noticed our food sitting in the kitchen with no one caring to tell us that it was ready. Several minutes later our food was brought to us with no apology. When we arrived back at our room we realised that the sour cream was missing from our wedges. I could not believe that after 55 plus minutes of waiting without any apology or "your order won't be too much longer", that it wasn't correct. When I went downstairs to ask where my sour cream was after another wait, I was informed at this point that the kitchen had run out of sour cream. I was not impressed. By the time my wife and I opened our takeaway to eat it, it was bearly warm. We will not be returning to this particular restaurant and I advise others to avoid the disappointment.

Entered at 7pm, food trays almost all empty. Only one tray was replaced in over an hour. Crispy skin pork- tasteless Wagyu beef- precut bite sizes also tasteless Deep fried nuggets, fish, spring rolls, lemon chicken, chips all fairly tasteless and barely warm. Tarte and seafood sauce, surprisingly tasteless. Fresh prawns, tasteless and obviously had been frozen. The crab, didn't even bother. Best part was cans of softdrink only $2 each. Heavily disappointed.

Friendly waiters but very average foods however big portions. unfortunately big portion doesn't equate to good quality meal. My kids chicken nuggets looks like Charcoal and my honey chilli bug is has way too much thai sweet chilli source.
