What a fabulous place. I have seen many of the posts of the awesome and creative menu but nothing beats tasting these for oneself. So good on Saturday I went back on Sunday. My first was the Eggs Atlantic with added Haloumi. Eggs were beautifully cooked. Second day I tried the Sweet Potato and Kale fritters. They were to die for.. The staff are friendly and engaging. The place was super busy but food and coffees came out on time. An absolute gem in the Surry Hills area.
Favourite brunch in all of Melbourne.
The coffee is always perfect. Eggs perfectly cooked. The staff are so lovely and always manage to accommodate us and a pram.
Food was absolutely excellent and the coffee as well. Excellent place to drop in for lunch and relax for a spell. Great.
Had a quick lunch at Reunion a couple of days ago. Wonderful service - friendly, efficient and the food was superb. So was the coffee. A real gem in Surrey Hills, truly recommended.
Delicious brioche with caramel ricotta and berries for brunch. We also had salmon rillettes with croquettes and pickled cucumber, corn fritters and steak sandwich. The sweet potato wedges are out of this world. Lovely, smiling service too. Happy on all counts
180804: fabulous rendezvous location for reunions; lovely family run business and quality staff; all with a generous heart
We went for the first time this weekend and loved it. Food was fresh and plentiful and the service was spot on. Highly recommend it - do yourself a favour and give it a try. I know that we will be back.
Lovely friendly staff. I had the ricotta hot cakes which were the best. I will go there again
Excellent, very friendly staff. Coffee FIVE star and that fruit bread!! It sets the standard by which all fruit bread will be judged. Our new favorite cafe. Could not fault anything. Thank you. How do you get it so right and others so wrong???
The food, coffee and staff were amazing made me forget how cold Melbourne is :)
Just had the best coffee I've had since can't remember when. That long. Thanks Riley
Best coffee in Melbourne with the best staff to go with it! Can't get enough!
Friendly service, yummy food & a lovely environment! Nice start to the weekend. Thanks!
The food is always great and the staff are so friendly
Always excellent! Food is creative and absolutely delicious!! SUCH wonderful hospitality, too! My absolute favourite!💕
Great coffee, muffins and service. This is a real asset for Union Rd
Fabulous service! And very parent/child friendly. Great coffee and delicious breakfast, we will definitely be returning again and again!
We called in to Reunion cafe for take away coffee on our Sunday morning walk. The place we had intended to walk to was closed so we walked a further 1km to Surrey Hills. Peaceful tunes and the wonderful smell of coffee greeted us as we ordered our lattes and waited outside. Good quality with a solid bean and plenty of oomph. Plenty of heat as well. Unfortunately they had only just opened and were still setting things up so there wasn’t anything to tempt me sweet food wise... although there was some yummy breakfast burgers being assembled that were quite tempting.
Very much open for business which we a good to see.

What a cute like cafe on a pretty street in the beautiful Surrey Hills.
I started the morning off with a delicious purple smoothie ‘liquid breakfast’ which is a meal in itself.
I was a bit excited to see two of my favourite foods in one dish raspberries and rhubarb. The ricotta hotcakes were exceptional, I could have licked the plate clean 😜
It has a really nice local cafe feel where they seem to have many regulars and with good reason- the service is fantastic.
I definitely need to go back for those hotcakes-yum 💗
Reunion Café is only a few minutes away from me... so why have I never been there before now!?
Located on the lovely Union Road in Surrey Hills, Reunion Café definitely stands out, even from the outside the contemporary and unique décor pulls you in (and the scents of mouthwatering food will keep you there!)
We ordered the Ancient Grain Granola, which I could NOT stop eating! It had such a wonderful textures and such a yummy taste, the coconut yoghurt was the perfect addition! We also got the Halloumi Brioche - you obviously can't go wrong with halloumi but this exceeded my expectations - so perfectly done and presented in a fun and unique black charcoal bun. My fave part was their HOUSE-MADE tomato relish ! We also ordered he Prawn Tacos, so delicious and I especially enjoyed the tomato coriander salsa!
Staff were wonderful and genuinely cared that we had the best experience possible.
Can't wait to pop back in!
4.5. A nice bright cafe in Surrey Hills Victoria, not in New South Wales! Nice plants decor, and blue lights above the coffee station.
The drinks we ordered were:
LIVER CLEANSER - Carrot, apple, celery, lemon, ginger - My foodie buddy can't stop saying how nice this was! Very refreshing and not sour at all etc.
PB - Peanut butter, banana, cacao, oats, soy milk - I had this one and it was so smooth and nice! The flavours were very balanced without bits of anything overpowering a taste. It was so yummy!
For our food, we had:
MISO CAULIFLOWER GRATIN - Tofu, roasted mushroom, spinach, panko parmesan crust with poached egg - I don't recall seeing the tofu in this dish, but the cauliflower and mushroom were really nice in the dish, especially with the poached egg.
SMASHED AVOCADO - Romesco sauce, feta, fresh peas, toasted seeds, lemon on multi-grain toast - The smashed avocado was slightly sour with the lemon on this plate but nevertheless, still very tasty when eaten with the toast.
ANCIENT GRAIN GRANOLA - quinoa flakes, nuts, dried mango, coconut yoghurt, fresh strawberries - This is possibly the best granola I've had! The previous ones I've had didn't have milk poured over it, and the yoghurt was very sour. However, this coconut yoghurt was very light and not sour at all - I don't recall the dried mango in this dish but the fresh strawberries matched really well with the granola and nuts. It was so crunchy and nice!! I love this dish the most!
I actually really wanted the Ricotta hotcakes but it wasn't available at the time, so I will need to be back for it! Thanks for having us, Reunion cafe. We enjoyed the breakfast very much!
The staff were lovely and helpful, and the food was delicious.
Lovely cafe near Surrey Hills station - very convenient location. We drove there and street parking was easy to find (we went on a Wednesday morning).
Cosy atmosphere and staff were very welcoming and warm.
I'll start with the beverages. We ordered the hot Chai Latte and Iced Tumeric Latte. The hot chai was amazing - very creamy and was with the right amount of spice. The Tumeric latte was pleasant despite it is not something I would usually order - mildly aromatic and a little bitter - however I think it is a good tumeric latte for people who do actually like tumeric. Also I do regret not ordering a hot coffee because it smelled great from the table next to us and it looked really creamy - so I will definitely try it out next time!
We also ordered the Reuben sandwich and Ricotta Hotcakes. The Reuben sandwich (corned silverside beef (housemade) and Sauerkraut and Russian dressing (housemade) on rye) was on the specials menu, which we were told that it will be on the summer menu soon. The beef was delicious and tender; the dressing brought in more flavour and was very tasty. I definitely recommend this dish as a summer breakfast option! Ricotta hotcakes was a simple sweet dish with rhubarb & raspberry compote; it was very filling.
Overall Reunion Cafe is a fabulous place to spend a morning/afternoon whether by yourself or with loved ones - great food, great atmosphere, great service!
4.5
Reunion Cafe prides itself on using fresh produce, and also making everything in house whenever possible. With its moody and sleek interior, dotted with greeneries, it's a beautiful and relaxing space to dine at.
My friend and I shared the ricotta hotcakes and miso cauliflower gratin. Both of us were very impressed with the flavours from both dishes, especially the miso cauliflower gratin. It's hard not to love a dish with mushrooms and the umami taste they bring to a dish, and the mushrooms here were roasted to juicy tender perfection. The panko parmesan crust added a slight crunch, and a rich savoury flavour to complement the mild taste of the cauliflower.
The ricotta hotcakes was quite an indulgent treat; could be a tad fluffier but I enjoyed the rich creamy flavour that it exudes. The mascarpone, and the tartness from the rhubarb and raspberry balanced out the sweetness from the maple syrup that we ordered on the side.
Both smoothies that we ordered - Tumerisu and PB, were very enjoyable. Smooth and creamy, without being too thick, and with flavours that shine through.
Nearing the end of our meal, the lunch time crowed started arriving, proving that this place is well loved by locals. How lucky are they to have such a lovely cafe in their vicinity. Thank you for having me.
Located on the busy strip of Union Road, quaint little cafe that focuses on natural ingredients.
We went in on a Saturday morning and it was busy. People were tucking into their meals and enjoying a cuppa on a Saturday morning.
The decor was warm and cosy and the staff were really friendly. There was a good range on the menu and they have breakfast and lunch options.
We decided on the Miso Cauliflower Gratin and the Ricotta Hotcakes.
The Miso Cauliflower Gratin was really good and we definitely recommend it, the flavours were well balanced and the cauliflower was cooked to perfection. The flavours were really good. The ricotta hotcake on the other end would make a good dessert brunch as we all need some sugar.
Loved how they had the rhubarb and raspberry compote and it balances the dishes really well.
They do have a good beverage list and we decided on the smoothies and they complimented the dishes really well.
A lovely local cafe next to Surrey Hills train station, Reunion Cafe is often packed on the weekends and it’s easy to see why! We loved the sleek, modern and welcoming interior and super friendly staff.
The all day breakfast menu is full of favourites with a homely twist, with a focus on fresh and seasonal ingredients.
We had the Smashed Avocado ($18.50) with romesco sauce, feta, fresh peas, toasted seeds & lemon on multigrain. The peas added a great kick of freshness and the overall dish was lovely and refreshing.
My favourite dish was the Miso Cauliflower Gratin ($22) with tofu, roasted mushrooms, spinach, panko parmesan crust & poached eggs. It uses Japanese flavours but in quite a subtle way, the dish overall is comforting and something I could eat all the time.
For dessert we had the Ricotta Hotcakes ($19.90) with rhubarb and berry compote and mascarpone. This was a lovely and surprisingly light dish. Loved that chunks of ricotta were hidden inside the hotcakes and the compote was tart in a great way.
Overall a fantastic cafe and one I will definitely be returning to!
The food was very yummy! My favourite was the breakfast plate, it has a variety of choices and super delicious! The tacos were also super nice you have to try them!
Sitting in the middle of Union St and a 5 - 10 minute walk from Surrey Hills, is Reunion Cafe. A hustle and bustle cafe for the locals of Surrey Hills, where at any time of the day, people of all ages can be seen here.
My visit to Reunion was pleasant as the service was fairly friendly and swift.
Some of the dishes we had included:
'Ricotta Hotcakes'
Hotcakes served with rhubarb and raspberry compote with mascarpone, this is a recommended go to as the thickness was perfect for those looking for a filling meal with a balance of sweetness.
'Prawn Tacos'
Soft shelled tacos filled with avocado, chipotle slaw, tomato and coriander salsa. This refreshing combination is a great choice for those hot sunny days in Melbourne.
'Super Green Salad'
A salad composed of spinach, beans, brocollini, avocado, quinoa, pepitas, sunflowers seeds, feta and house dressing. A go to if you are gluten free or vegetarian.
Overall Reunion Cafe is a good choice for a stop after jumping off the train at Surrey Hills Station.
On a great corner location in Surrey Hills, Reunion cafe is obviously a hit with the locals, as the place was packed when we visited recently. It was a busy lunch period, but the staff were fantastic under pressure, and greeted us warmly. A large, but cosy venue with a clean and modern interior, and lots of wood and natural light; it certainly has a lovely ambience.
Starting with fresh juices and smoothies and some excellent coffee, we looked forward to trying some dishes from the interesing menu. The juice, with it's combination of pineapple and ginger was extremely refreshing, and the smoothie was delicious too.
Starting with the Big Reunion, we enjoyed the works... sausage, bacon, poached egg, mushroom, tomato, spinach and toast. The side of tomato chutney was sweet and tangy and worked so well with the savoury plate. Sometimes simple really works, and this fry up was really yummy.
I couldn't wait to try the pancakes. I adore rhubarb, and this compote was so good. Tart and tangy, it helped cut through the pancakes, as did the mascarpone. The pancakes themselves were nice. Not quite as fluffy as I had hoped, and almost savoury in flavour. They could probably do with a touch more sweetness, but I still enjoyed them.
Staff were lovely and helpful with the menu, and service was speedy despite it being so busy. I can definitely see why the locals love it here. Reunion cafe has no pretensions; simply serving up wholesome, delicious food with a fabulous attitude; making everyone feel welcome.
Reunion café is a lovely café located at 160 Union Road, Surrey Hills. The café serves breakfast and lunch and is also licensed to serve alcohol! Reunion café has a very industrial look with lots of natural light with their sign lit up in neon lights. There is also plenty of greenery scattered throughout which looked awesome.
We ordered the Prawn Tacos with avocado, chipotle slaw, tomato and coriander salsa, the Lamb Mezze Bowl with slow-cooked lamb, kumara chips, grated beetroot, feta, tzatziki dip, olives, mint with flatbread and finally, we had the Ricotta Hotcakes with rhubarb & raspberry compote with mascarpone. For drinks, we had a latte, Affogato Frangelico, the Watermelon Zinger juice and the Strawberry Kiss juice.
The prawn tacos are served as a trio and the prawn was cooked to perfection. The chipotle slaw and coriander salsa was fresh and tasty. The Lamb Mezze bowl was delicious - the lamb was tender and succulent and with the tzatziki, it made the best combo! The flatbread was nice and warm and went great with all the other ingredients in the dish. Our favourite choice was definitely the Ricotta Hotcakes! The rhubarb was mouthwatering and the hotcakes were nice and fluffy. It’s a classic yet popular dish which they executed perfectly! The drinks were stunning - our favourite was definitely the Strawberry Kiss which was extremely refreshing and flavoursome. Couldn’t complain about the coffees either.
Reunion café pride themselves on making sure that they use locally sourced and fresh ingredients and providing the perfect setting for a great place for catch-ups, meals on the go and brunch and lunch. They also deduct 20 cents from takeaway coffees when you bring your own reusable cup! How cool! Looking forward to visiting Reunion Café when we’re in Surrey Hills again.
Super friendly staff that were very helpful and assertive.
I ate the tacos which were delicious (maybe a bit more chilli for me) super fresh and tasty.
Also had a salad which was lovely and light.
Coffee was great!
Supporting St Kilda mums which was awesome to see.
Was pretty busy at lunch time which is always a good sign!
Had brekkie here with a mate and it was pretty darn good. The cafe has an industrial feel with lots of natural light and spots of greenery throughout.
The porridge was amazing! Smooth, hearty and generously portion it's a great winter warmer. I heard it is all house made and that whipped pumpkin butter was very unique 👌.
Fish tacos comes in threes and was fried to perfection. The chipotle slaw and tomato & coriander salsa were the perfect balance for the tacos.
The pancakes were good, a little denser than other. When combining the mascarpone and rhubarb compote the flavours were perfectly balanced.
Overall a great cafe for brekkie, brunch or lunch. Good strong coffee, delicious meals and beautiful venue. Would recommend 👌

What a cute café! The staff were super friendly and the food was lovely. A good spot for families!
The breaky board was fabulous and a must get!
As soon as I walked in the door at reunion cafe I was greeted by the friendly staff and shown to a table. From start to finish, the hospitality I received throughout my entire visit was extraordinary! Nada the owner was so wonderful and told us all about her amazing menu items, and about the cafe in general since she took over 1 year ago. She has a lot a locals come in, some even every day just to say hello and grab a coffee!
We ordered the ricotta hotcakes, Halloumi burger and breakfast plate. The pancakes were my favourite, as they were a really unique flavour and texture compared to a standard buttermilk pancake. The rhubarb and raspberry compote was the perfect element to go with the hotcakes!
The breakfast plate was such a good option if you weren’t sure to go sweet or savoury - as it had a bit of everything!
And the Halloumi brioche... i mean how could you go wrong? You can’t! - it was so tasty! A close second :)
We accompanied the food with coffees to start (latte and a tumeric latte) and then a green smoothie and watermelon/strawberry juice during our meals. Reunion cafe has a really unique way of making their tumeric lattes! By using half coconut and half almond milk it enhances the tumeric flavour - Definitely one to order whilst you visit!
Hit up Reunion Cafe in Surrey Hills for a Sunday Brunch and it absolutely blew us away! Tried the Steak Sandwich and Halloumi Burger both were delicious. Also had the coffee frappe and an oj which were just as impressive!! The shop front is humble but believe us when we say the food is incredible.
The staff was very friendly and very attentive. The cafe is on the small side and was very busy not a lot of cafe has a alcohol licence but this place has one . The food was nice.

Friendly neighbourhood joint with some of the most delectable dishes that are seasonally based. Always good for a cuppa and a great place to just unwind at. Dog friendly too!
We visited this busy establishment one week end and the food and service was very good. The cafe is quite small and tucked away a little from the road leading into the city centre but not difficult to find.
Nice and friendly service and a cool neighborhood cafe on the whole. It was still fairly busy when we went in today at a bit past 1pm. As we weren’t too hungry we decided to order a “gathering” breakfast to share. To be honest the overall taste was mediocre and the portion wasn’t very big, but the poached eggs were perfectly done and the potato hash was quite tasty (apparently house made and I was able to taste that). Really appreciated how the waiter gave us an extra plate to share the food and some ice when I asked if we could have our water chilled. According to my friend their vegan nachos are really good so if anyone is looking to try this cafe out, maybe give that one a go!
We enjoyed our breakfast here. He had a breakfast brioche burger, with scrambled eggs and bacon inside. He loved it. I had the BLAT minus the T and chips, it was nice. Our coffees were good too. Service was friendly and personable
I had lunch here today with a great friend. The service was hard to catch initially, and it took a while to place our order and then our mains were served and the table wasn’t cleared.
Initially we both ordered coffees, and my piccolo latte was tasty. A strong coffee w a good froth.
For lunch I ordered a Nurture bowl (vegetarian) but I ordered some chicken too. This was really fresh and delicious. It consisted of chick peas, tofu, pickled ginger, brown rice, eggplant etc.
This was really good and this place was buzzing! No good photos as I didn’t get a chance.
Brought my family here one weekend and sat at the back. We enjoyed our meals, I had baked eggs which was good. It was too busy when we went so we could sit and talk for ages
Stands out from the crowd ...
All Black "matt" fascia ... coffee flag banner ... newest looking building ...
So I've checked out their coffee, own beans and 8/10 $4.00 latte ... awesome slightly burnt Cinnamon Chocolate aftertaste ...
Will try their menu at some stage in the future ... not just the building, but their latte stood out. JT-12/04/2018.
👍🏽: delicious coffee and food !! highly recommend this local cafe for a nice catch up with friends. consistently great and attentive service.
Went here for quick breakfast & coffee fix. Ancient grain granola was nice & light option for bfast. Coffee was a bit cold then my liking. Will be back to try the rest of the menu.
If you are feeling a bit ‘flat’, pop into Reunion and I guarantee it will lift your spirits😊 😊☕️☕️
I normally stop off for a break on my bike ride and the young staff always have a smile and willingness to serve despite my very ‘sloppy’ appearance😓.
The coffee is great. I am yet to check out the menu but have no doubt it will be in keeping with the outstanding service.
Nothing too special about this place. All day breakfast, food is good but not amazing/special, service was extremely friendly. Can be very noisy if the folding windows are closed.
A beautiful little cafe located in Surry Hills with a wonderful selection on their menu. My boyfriend and I were looking for a new place to try in the Eastern Suburbs and we were pleased with the service and the meals we received. I also tried my first 'Cold Drip' here and man, it was good. Definitely a great little breakfast/brunch spot!
I opted for the brilliant ‘Vegan Nachos – sweet potato wedges, black beans, tomato salsa, avocado, jalapenos, cashew cheese and coconut yoghurt ($18.50)’, which was also gluten-free. My dining companion chose the ‘Avocado, Feta and Mint Smash with beetroot hommus, sumac dukkah, lemon and multigrain toast ($17.50)’.
Constantly strong service and great food that is carefully sourced by passionate owners. As a local business we go here a lot and feel part of the extended reunion family. Old fashion service is appreciated. Michael
Reunion is a swish and modern café, located along Union road (hence the pun). It comprises a contemporary design, with a large glass façade affording street views. The interior sports a black and grey colour scheme, with an exposed ceiling, parquetry floor, and feature green vertical pipes along one wall. The counter is highlighted with rows of blue LEDs, and the table settings are in timber and are simple and elegant. I dropped in on a weekday morning to find it busy and well patronised, though not overly noisy, with some faint background grooves helping set the atmosphere. The serving staff were friendly and attentive, and looked smart in their uniforms. I was greeted upon arrival and promptly provided with water and a menu. The all-day menu looked quite interesting, with some vegetarian options including a vegetable burger, avo smash, and vegan nachos (points for that!). I selected the avo smash with a side of roasted mushrooms and wilted spinach. It was very nicely presented, colourful with a splash of beetroot purée, and textured with a light sprinkling of dukkha. The coffee, too, was well made. Certainly worthy of a return visit.
Nice little cafe with the option to have a glass of wine with your lunch, however the food is average and the set up is a bit cramped. I had the prawns soft shell tacos (x2) with chunks of avocado sitting on some lumpy leaves on the side. The actual tacos were tasty but I would've preferred the avocado to be in them! Also for 2 tacos for $21 is very steep! Ok but wouldn't make the effort to visit again.
Was my first time there and Atmosphere is good, but good was just average and price is way too high for a brunch, not sure if this is standard in Surrey hill area but definitely around inner city suburbs this is one of the most expensive ones I've been to.
Great almond latte, we had the porridge and came back later for the banana waffle, both were scrumptious and fresh . The cafe has a modern European feel with great staff.
Reunion Cafe is just one of the many lovely modern Cafes on Union Road in Surry Hills. Huge, wonderful variety of items on the menu, lots of healthy options! We loved how many Juices & Smoothie options there were, something lots of cafes usually lack! The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty and fresh! Amazing cafe!
TIP: Do order the Ancient Grain Granola it is very sweet, fruity and delicious- our favourite. Don't forget to order one of there fantastic smoothies- The Bounty or Liquid Breakfast are delicious!
Reunion Café is situated on a lovely small suburban strip in Union Rd Surrey Hills, where you will find a lovely atmosphere of locals enjoying their weekday morning coffee and breakfasts, the subtle buzz of the coffee machine swirling away and the background hum of patrons gobbling up plates of eggs and bacon, homemade muffins and all the usual foodie breakfast finds along with Realy good Atomica Coffee, Northcote makes this cafe a great destination for a meal through out the day.
I love going to cafés where there's no pretentiousness, has great friendly service and seasonal food that is honest and enjoyable.
Full marks to the owners of Reunion Cafe for getting on with running a solid food establishment that is service orientated.
Oh, and they are a great supporter of social causes too. The day I was there they were collecting hand knitted squares to make up into rugs to donate to The St Kilda Mums Charity.
Lovely interior, friendly and fast service & wonderful vegan options, I will come again - my friend and her pram were also well catered for.
March 2018
There’s still plenty of great vegan options - I had the sweet potato wedge nacho bowl which was delicious, the wedges were perfectly cooked - although I couldn’t hack the jalapeños.
I also had a liver cleanser juice which thankfully wasn’t half filled with ice.
Also grabbed a raw vegan peanut butter fudge treat - yum.
Kids had plenty of options and went for Nutella pancakes and cheese and vegemite toast.
Hubby had a coffee and the special which was scrambled eggs with some kind of meat and salted ricotta - he enjoyed it.
Excellent cafe with a good vibe and attentive and friendly staff. Ever been to a cafe where you wait for a long time for someone to notice that you are ready to order, or have finished your meal, then eventually have to put up your hand to get attention? That doesn't happen here. The staff were paying attention and were quick to assist at exactly the right moment, without ever being intrusive or asking you every two minutes if you needed anything.
The sourdough toast I had was great, the slices were large, and had the interesting option of honey produced in a backyard. The coffee was very good. Will be going back to sample more of the menu.
Cute little cafe in Surrey Hills with ultra friendly staff that were really efficient and attentive. Reasonable coffee and a really good bircher that was covered in a delicious crunchy granola. Great local spot
Yum for the Bircher muesli with lemon curd! I dint think I could drink that giant size orange juice but it disappeared pretty quickly. I've also had the breakfast board which has a mini version of everything breakfasty- great value. I've also had the salmon rillete which is fabulous; those potato croquettes are amazing!
Awesome breakfast selections, a little out of the ordinary. Coffee is great and the atmosphere is really nice. Music can be a little loud, but otherwise a great experience!
Very impressive cafe. A physically nice place to sit. Excellent service and great coffee.
I liked the non-standard menu, focussing on healthy items rather than joining with the ubiquitous burger set.
All the meals we had were excellent but don't expect four point sandwiches and a pie and chips!
You'll feel good walking out after eating such a healthy meal.
A beautiful hang out place in Surrey Hills. Thoroughly enjoyed the hot chocolate ! Had the avocado feta mint smash which looked really good and generously served.
Every meal I have ever had in this lovely Surrey Hills cafe I have thoroughly enjoyed and have been unable to find fault with anything !
Great new menu which includes the smashed avocado dish with relish and corn - I have never tasted such a mouthwatering combination. Very prompt and friendly service as well. A real favourite!
Great place near Surrey Hills station to pick up some eggs, done the way you like, food is fresh and has healthy choices, as well as some great looking muffins and cakes.
Really friendly service, relaxed atmosphere and great place to visit.
This cafe has excellent food and even better coffee. I live in Sydney but make a point of visiting here everytime I'm in Melbourne. I love that the menu is all day so you can have breakfast at dinner and dinner for breakfast. Food is yum yum yum!
Absolutely LOVE Reunion Dining. We eat out for breakfast all the time and Reunion Dining has become our favorite cafe in Melbourne. The Prawn Tacos are amazing (even if they do sound counterintuitive for breakfast) while the smashed avocado is magnificent. Kids love the pancakes too. Service is always attentive and polite, and Leith and her team create a welcoming and friendly environment. This is a great place for breakfast, and it has given Union Road a real lift as a breakfast destination.
My new favourite local cafe!! this one is fantastic, recommended by my personal trainer i decided to check it out, right from the start the service was excellent & so friendly, we met Leigth who is so nice, I havnt had service like this in a cafe for a long time. Firstly ordered a soy hot chocolate which came out quickly and tasted fantastic, then ordered the Cashew crumbed eggs which was absolutley superb. This cafe is the best, service with a smile is something i like so thanks to these guys I'll be back often :) Great cafe Leigth !!!
Absolutely beautiful
Had scrambled eggs with my mother and we both agreed that they had the most delightful texture. The coffee was much stronger than anticipated but had a nice flavour.
Would come back again
this place is amazing. the cafe itself is trendy, modern and sleek. i had the most amazing salad here, it was huge and so filling and tasty. the chai lattes are great here, which is saying a lot considering how much many other cafes struggle to make an acceptable chai latte. needless to say i will be coming back here.
I tend to go here for work meetings and order coffees which are pretty good. I've had a couple meals and I'd have to say the menu is a little limited for my liking and tend to stay away if a meal is required.
Ate here Sunday morning with hubby and a friend. There was a short wait for a table but we were seated at the window bar and offered coffees. Coffee and meals were delivered promptly and were all quite tasty. They could work on presentation a little as the meals were served exactly as on the menu - Eggs Atlantic was literally English muffins with eggs, salmon and holandaise - no garnish - and looked quite tepid on a large plain plate. Sure, a little nitpicky on my behalf, but a little jazzing up of presentation can do a long way to bring people back. Service was excellent and we were able to split the bill.
Reunion's new breakfast menu adds to what was already a fabulous dining experience. The sweet potato fritters with home made relish are a highlight while the new breakfast board includes the best bircher I've tried in ages. Add in super friendly staff and great coffee and we couldn't ask for a better start to the day!
After we had such a negative experience at Zimt, we went to this place and surprisingly very friendly and good breakfast. Thanks a lot , it was a nice start in this day :)
Eaten here twice and have been very impressed with the food and coffee. Maybe need to lower the minimum eftpos limit as your forced to purchase extra items - we are not the only customers who faced the problem on the same day.
Nice friendly lady. Coffee was good. The steak sandwich I had tasted nice and fresh. The sourdough in the sandwich was a bit dry though, wish they had buttered it to add flavor and keep it moist. Overall a good experience.
AMAZING - What great food and service?
Both waitresses that served us were knowledgable and seemed to have real care for the food, cafe and environment.
Great coffee but even better food.
The steak sandwich was to die for. They home make all relishes, and I could not fault the meal. It's not your ordinary steak sandwich, it contains a delicious beetroot relish, caramelized onions, bacon and a side of fries. The eggs + bacon & avocado too was just as great.
We'll be back to try the rest of the menu.
Lovely place in the Surrey Hills shops, great coffees and they make fresh chai which is refreshing, very relaxing place, will be back again as the food looked impressive.
Cashew Crumbed Eggs. Absolutely adore this dish. I have it every time I visit!!
This has GOT TO BE one of our newfound favourites. We are are slowly but surely going to eat our way through the entire menu. Service is EXCEPTIONAL. Food is out of this world. 10/10. Love.
Great place!. Had a late breakfast here and was very impressed by the service, food, and atmosphere. Great coffee, and the smashed avocado with ricotta on toast was a dream breakfast! I ordered mine with a poached egg and side of fennel pork sausage, delicious. The serve itself was generous. Friendly, attentive staff and our waiter diligently kept our water glasses topped up and was helpful and nice. Some very interesting sounding meals on the menu - will definitely return!
Had a lovely midweek lunch and glass of wine.
Friendly service, all day breakfast, lovely winter soup.
Lovely local cafe with a chatty atmosphete
I had an appointment with another Trader in the strip and they recommended I try Reunion for lunch.
I was greeted warmly and shown to my seat. A glass if water and the menu arrived very quickly.
I chose (I think it's called) The Green Salad as my recommender told me he loved it. OH MYYYY!!! What a gorgeous dish - quinoa, broccolini, fetta, avocado and much, much more ...... It was a taste sensation!! Plenty of avocado n fetta - plenty of everything. I've already arranged to meet my girlfriend there next week. I think it is now my 'regular'!!
I'm guessing that Management is pretty good because the Wait Staff were clearly relaxed and at ease.
A lovely experience. Thank you
Hands down the best food and coffee in Surrey Hills. I love this place. My soy latte was a perfect consistency - you wouldn't even know it was soy. Unlike places that curdle the milk the barister made it to perfection. The food was also divine. We had the grilled chicken salad and the lamb shank which was on the specials board. Wow to the chef. The lamb was succulent and the veggies and mash was tasty from start to finish. Such Attention to detail.
It was a truly delightful experience. The food was excellent and the cafe has a really warm feel even though the fit out is quite modern. The service was also very good. Homemade relish topped off a really special meal. Definitely good value.
Best customer service in the area and not your boring old cafe menu! Loved the food and atmosphere of this cafe!
An exotic fine dining experience in white bread Surrey Hills!. Cycling through what is probably Melbourne's most white bread suburb, Surrey Hills, I was stunned to find such creatively delicious food. Reunion Cafe's Ricotta Hotcakes with rhubarb were amazing -- light and fluffy but rich in flavour. So good I stopped again for lunch on the return trip -- fantastic prawn tacos with avocado. Yum!
The only problem is, now I have to find excuses to cycle to Surrey Hills, which I usually avoid. But if you are in the area, its worth the trip!

Awesome place!!!!. I went here a couple of months ago for lunch with my family, mum had been wanting to go for a while as the owner is an old friend of hers, as we walked in the door the place was packed!!! But the crowd miraculously cleared as soon as we received our meals. I had the steak sandwich and it was the best I had ever had. The steak was so tender that when I bit into it, it was as if it wasn't there. The beetroot relish was super tasty and the fries were nice and crispy. My mum's eyes grew wide when I claimed I was still hungry!! (I am a growing teenaged boy after all and she seems to not eat a lot of food anyway) so I had the "my friend the chocolate cake" cake and it was awesome!, great meal, great service, 10/10 will definitely coming back!!
Great new local for Surrey Hills. Finally got to visit Reunion Cafe in Melbourne's Surrey Hills yesterday. I'd been wanting to try a couple of the dishes people had been raving about on Facebook.
Friendly smiling staff welcomed us and took our order.
We were not disappointed. The Ricotta Hot Cakes were fluffy and melt in the mouth and I couldn't find words to describe the cashew crumbed eggs understandably the most ordered dish on the menu. Good coffee with a great depth of flavour finished what was a really special breakfast for us.
I would highly recommend this modern styled cafe as must visit. You won't be disappointed
A small tavern with a small environment, there are many varieties of food, the portion is small, and the taste is good! The coffee is fragrant, and the bartender is tall, handsome and gentle, attracting beautiful women to visit again.
Best chai latte in the eastern suburbs and possibly Melbourne. I’m a huge chai fan and today’s was awesome. My second from this cafe so now I will come more often. My partner was very happy with her almond latte. The guys working there are very friendly as well. Keep up the good work!
Love it . Great coffee, Staff are really nice and professional. Smells awesome soon as you open the front door. Yummy take away breakfast and lunch. Can't wait to sit down and enjoy breakfast.
What a great cafe. All day breakfast has something for everyone and lunch menu from 11am is great too. We enjoyed the traditional Eggs Benedict and Atlantic Benedict - both first class. The coffee is great and the service was prompt and attentive. Recommended.
Lovely cafe in Surrey hills with excellent coffee. Great food, fresh, tasty and ideal portions. Fab wait staff and the room is not too noisy so you can talk with out shouting at each other.
Highly recommended!
What an incredible cafe, coffee is great, breakfast is yummy, plus awesome service. Worth a visit.
This is a 5 star cafe, service is great, staff very attentive and friendly. Food is beautifully presented, taste good. We had tacos, miso califlower and chicken burger.
