New favourite Italian spot!! Visited for a Sunday lunch (with a booking as we had a group of 7) and had an amazing overall experience; top quality food and service. We sat indoors in the front section which had a few medium sized tables and a display with sandwiches/desserts by the counter. There is also outdoor courtyard seating but we did not check out this section.
There was an all day breakfast menu with an Italian twist on brunch classics, as well as several pastas/salad on the lunch menu. Additionally there were 4 pasta specials; one was the fettuccine ragu (see image). The pasta and other dishes we had were all flavourful and with perfect texture. Can’t fault it!!
All the staff are very friendly and added to the memorable visit. Highly recommend and will return!!
I have heard a lot of this cafe and have wanted to try it for the longest time. I finally got to try it on a Sunday arvo and the food was amazing!!
It was seriously had to choose a dish because everything sounded good, including the special. I finally went with the breakfast carbonara which was al dente and well-seasoned. It was so flavourful - it was cheesy, creamy and rich from the egg yolk and savoury and fatty from the pancetta. It was perfect.
My partner opted for the breakfast bruschetta which was heirloom tomatoes with avocado, mozzarella, basil and a poached egg. It was sweet, savoury, herby and fresh. He loved it.
The coffee was aromatic and chocolatey. I was so tempted by the home-made desserts but was full. I will definitely be back to try them! The service was excellent and very friendly. A lovely place to dine and certainly my new favourite Italian place.
Ever now and then we come here to order a coffee, casarecce in vodka and chilli sauce, then finish with ricotta baked cheesecake. Very nice.
So happy to see the Pure Italian + Roam team back in action in a new location. Don't be fooled, from the outside it looks quite cramped, however there is a lovely courtyard and spacious back room as well. As always the food is fantastic and service so friendly.
Calamari is always a stand out dish and perfect for sharing.. or eating the whole plate on your own. If you're just looking for coffee and cake, you can't go past the orange and polenta cake and chocolate pear tart.
Deeeeelicious chilli scrambled eggs!!! Soooo delicious, had to stop myself ordering pasta for breakfast here, but that was worth it as soon as I tried these eggs!!
Wow! Came here after a photography session (recommended) and the pasta here was amazing! Proper carbonara and delicious pork sausage pasta. Will be back to try more!
Cute little cafe with a few different seating areas (front of cafe, outside, little back room) and very friendly staff.
Coffee was nice and hot. Chai had mixed reviews.
Food was very impressive, we all had breakfast and they were a bit closer to lunch/Italian fare with a breakfast spin. Lots of interesting flavours and very unique. There was a bit of a wait time for food.
Tried the apple dessert, which was a generous portion (share it amongst friends!) and delicious!
This morning we went on a photoshoot and across the road we have been introduce to this place. The food was amazing the chai latte wasn’t as good. But the latte was beautiful, great place to go recommend to try!
Having seen their Breakfast Carbonara online I knew I had to try it - I’m a sucker for fun fusion dishes and I’ve never had pasta for breakfast before! Loved the warm and family friendly atmosphere - its like stepping into someone’s home and the staff were so lovely, warm and welcoming. It was a beautiful day so we sat in the roomy courtyard.
There were so many tempting choices on the menu but I had to get the carbonara and it did not disappoint - the spaghetti was perfectly al dente and absolutely loved the crispy pancetta and running egg yolk. I’ll definitely be back!
Very true Italian cuisine, warm family atmosphere. Pappardelle with truffle taleggio and fried parsley were simply amazing. Maltagliati with prawns and saffron were creamy and so tasty. Ossobuco over the top. I really recommend to everyone this place. Chef Carlo is the best in town. I look forward to coming back soon.

Words cannot describe how much I love this place. It is my self care weekend place of choice.
Authentic, rustic, creative Italian cooking.
Their gnocchi are like feathered pillows that just melt in your mouth. Their pasta is traditional pasta. So if you're looking for a soft tasteless La Porchetta like pasta, steer clear, these guys do homemade brilliance only.
My favs include Ossobuco eggs (oh my gosh! 😍), Breakfast carbonara, anytime they do a gnocchi special, their veal, the vodka orrechiette and their RICOTTA CHEESECAKE! I'm yet to walk out the door either consuming a slice of cheesecake or taking one with me. Cannot thank Chrissy Swan enough for instagraming this place as it's my new food sanctuary. Do yourself a favour, TRY IT! Don't just get your normal poached eggs on toast, try something different. Be adventurous, or ask the waiter, it's probably the owner. If in doubt and you can't steer clear of a good ol egg breakfast, get the ossobuco eggs with your fav side. Trust me!

A deceivingly roomy cafe with a delightful courtyard. A menu full of deliciousness that made it incredibly hard to make a choice! Great cold brew & batch brew coffee 🥰. Staff super friendly, kitchen very efficient. Being an Italian cafe how could we go past the pasta - gnocchi & fettuccine such a good decision, super tasty 😋. Love to return and sample more of the menu! Thank u Piccino ♥️

I am surprised to see this beautiful little cafe being scored 3.8 stars ⭐️ in Zomato, because frankly, I reckon it’s 5 stars ⭐️. 5 stars ⭐️ in service and 5 stars ⭐️ in food as well.
Taking kids out to nice cafes and restaurants are hard, let alone taking them out when they are tired and hungry. Piccino made me feel at home at once. They promptly gave us high chairs, food came quickly and the owner(?) chatted to my kids.
We ordered a breakfast spaghetti (which is the real carbonara) which both my kids adored. I was only left with a few strands of pasta and a bit of pancetta to try but it was delicious. The spaghetti was al dente and it was the proper carbonara, aka, pretty sure it has no cream.
I shared a plate of school prawns w my eldest and he loved every bit of it. The orange segments and the orange mayo lifted the otherwise rich dish and the prawns were so fresh.
I also ordered a side salad and that was fresh and full of texture 😋
My kiddies wanted babycinos and they made perfect cups of babycinos that looked like clouds ☁️- they frothed the milk all the way rather than just a bit of froth on top and milk on the bottom.
On my way out I bought a slice of brownie for hubby and he commented how good it was (this is the hubby that said it’s ok to everything so it’s good is like, the best comment he has ever given 🤣)
I felt like I have stepped into someone’s home and they have cooked me and my kids a beautiful home cooked meal.

Greeted by good service. Coffee was good, if you like a frothy cappuccino (like me), you can get that here. The menu didn’t have all the fancy dishes but the food here was nothing but amazing 😋 it was simplicity at its best !!
Although I didn’t get a chance to try, but I have to say that their sweet cabinet looked amazing 😍 plan to return to try them soon
Came here for lunch with a girlfriend. All the staff were fantastic - friendly and helpful. The menu looked great - there were so many good things to choose from. We had the breakfast carbonara and one of the specials pumpkin and sage gnocchi. Both were absolutely delicious. They have a nice courtyard out the back also. Perfect for a sunny day. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. Looking forward to going back.
The guys from Pure Italian & Roam are back with this funky old school Italian cafe. The food is amazing as always, We’ve missed it & we wanted it all, we shared a pasta, calamari, jaffle, fritters, fried pizza and some cakes. The coffee is next level, highly recommend! Can’t wait to go back
Just had lunch there with a friend. Lovely cafe and courtyard. Service was very attentive even when we are in the courtyard. Good coffee. Staff was very knowledgeable. I'll go back just for the divine Italian donuts! Delicious! Thank you so much
Produce used was great quality and everything tasted great! They have seating at the front and back indoors, as well as an outdoor courtyard. Lots of options to choose from, breakfast items, pasta and fish etc. Coffee strength was good! But they over do the frothing of alternative milks and curdles a little. Over all great experience will come again
Great Italian food with wonderful warm service. Popular and relatively small so booking is worthwhile. I don't think you can really go wrong with the food - it's all delicious. Of course the coffee is fantastic too.

Great spot with Italian classics. The vegetable sandwich is so tasty and coffee hits the spot too. Finish with a dessert if you've got room. The Basque cheesecake and tiramisu are excellent. Friendly staff make me feel welcome everytime.
Nice food and coffee, very helpful staff. Will come back again.
