Review Mr India - Sutherland

Marlon Perera
Extremely poor taste in Shashi Lamb Korma. It was too sweet, they have actually added sugar into this dish. I have never tasted sweet korma and when I called the restaurant the person I spoke to was extremely rude and did not want to listen to what I had to say. We threw away the whole dish worth of over 15 dollars. Very poor. I never recommend this place for a very poor taste. I also ordered two samosas and they tasted very stale, not fresh! Be very careful do not order through any take away apps.

The cheese naan is incredible and the samosas are pretty good. The butter chicken tastes a little watery and quite sweet but definitely still good. They are friendly and always serve good food.

I don’t often leave reviews but this place was sensational. Friendly staff, amazing prices and fantastic food. I think it cost me around 18 dollars for a generous serving of rice, massive amount of butter chicken and some garlic naan.

Just had takeaway lunch @ Mr India restaurant taste was ok , but while having bite a long hair found in the curry. Called and told them. They apologise and compensated with different curry and naan bread. I will not go back again.

Really homely restaurant which focuses primarily on takeaway. The food doesn't set the world on fire but is reliable. Got Butter Chicken and Rogan Josh with two Garlic Naan's. Service was relatively quick and they were polite. The Rogan Josh was a little bit chewy and gristly which wasn't ideal. Would probably give it 3.5 stars if I could.

Got the Lago burger - bit of constructive feedback. Short story - needs more attention to detail, would not return. Long story - Chicken quality on the burger was high. Hot and juicy. Pieces of chicken were very small and stacked on top of each other making more than half the burger without chicken. Suggest paying more attention to detail on “construction”. Bread was also slightly stale meaning it fell apart as I ate. Price says $5.90, got charged $7.90 - I suspect that’s because I got two small pieces of chicken, not one. Customer service wasn’t great - older aged Indian woman wasn’t very friendly and I seemed to be an inconvenience to her when I ordered - perhaps she’d had a long day. Tables were sticky to touch and should be cleaned a little more often. The Indian kebab looks good though - might try that if I ever return.

Ordered one of their Indian kebabs expecting it to be the standard chicken tikka with mint yoghurt etc. It was butter chicken in a stodgy nan and not very enjoyable

The naan was delicious. But the butter chicken was watered down and the “mango” chicken was completely tasteless. No hint of mango anywhere, it just looked and tasted like chicken in chicken stock. Very disappointed
