We celebrated my Mum's birthday at The Shorehouse and it was magnificent. We received great service and the food was absolutely beautiful. Its a gorgeous restaurant in a very picturesque location. Highly recommended.

Fresh ingredients done well.... especially the zucchini flowers, Fremantle octopus and the simple bread & butter (Vegemite lovers, this butter blend is an absolutely genius salty, buttery, vegemitey, chivey creation - by far the tastiest I’ve ever had).
Highly recommended and will make this a regular place to visit.

We had an amazing experience here with a beautiful sunset during dinner to complement the delicious set menu we had. The shared entrees were a great idea as we were able to try bite size potions of 4 dishes. The venison carpaccio was defo our favourite. Mains were unfaultable with th pan fried snapper with mussels and lamb cutlets - so juicy, tender and a pleasure to eat. Dessert was also nice.
This is located at the end of the Cottesloe beach and looks beautiful with those yellow umbrella shades.
We ordered a lot of food and desserts—were good. Wine,Beer and Coffee were great too.
Delicious food, great for an occasion and a big group. We had dozens of share plates amongst 15 people and there was nothing left. The cauliflower was a hit, so was the fried chicken. I loved the fresh veggies and I especially loved the desserts.

Nice venue and atmosphere! Got the crab and prawn linguine, to be honest more prawn then crab but was still good. Quite pricy given what you get but not unreasonable. Blueberry and thyme gin and tonic was also great.
This was our second visit, with a gift voucher because there had been a stuff up on the first visit. There were 4 in our party and the service was excellent. The food very good, and Shorehouse proved that not only is it good at custimer service by the gift voucher to make up for the stuff up, but that it is in fact a good restaurant, with the service and food quality to match a rating of 4.5. Well done Shorehouse, it is a pity that other Perth restaurateurs don't match this customer focus in their service.
Um just wow. Uh-may-zing. I ordered the carot, egggplant salad with almond puree. Absolutelt recommend.
My meer male tag along even wanted to trade his gorgeous steak for it.
They have a 30+ page menu for drinks alone. But its the kind you want to savour and not get drunk off (if youre that type). They havr a range of prices. I recommend the Bailey's and ask for some ice cream to add.
Dessert: cheesecake, fig, salted caramel ice cream. MY TASTEBUDS BEGAN DIRTY DANCING.
Oh and try the $3 truffles. They are beyond sizable and forgo the milk chocolate. Try the hazelnut.
I really love this place. Drinks are tasty and the setting is ideal for Perth Summer afternoons/evenings soaking up the last of the sun. However my only complaint is what I have found to be consistently poor service. Staff are very friendly, but time and time again I don’t get to experience this much as it is a struggle to get them over to the table to take our order. I know many others will disagree with me but I feel improved service would do this place all the justice it deserves!
Came here for NYE dinner. We were seated by the window in the far corner, which was nice, semi-secluded and had beautiful views of the ocean. The service was impeccable - prompt, friendly and informative. For entree my fiancé and I shared olives and fresh bread with home made butter, simple but tasty. I had the prawn and crab pasta for main, which was nice and my fiancé had the fish with Asian slaw, which he enjoyed. We shared the soft chocolate ganache and hands down it was the best desert I’ve had in ages. It was a lovely night and I would highly recommend.
From the time we walked in the service was excellent, Alex our waiter made sure we were well taken care of (and he was really funny), the coffee was great, scrambled eggs super tasty and the breaky burger was one of the best I’ve had. Couldn’t fault our breakfast experience, very impressed!
Wild and wet weather couldn't stop us enjoying a fantastic 3 course meal and great wine. The staff were friendly, happy and helpfull. 5 of us covered most of the menu and all meals were delicious and all brought out together. Plenty of parking and close to restaurant.

I've had a few different meals at The Shorehouse. Yummy cocktails and great tapas, the breakfast we had was average. We had the togarashi pepper spiced scrambled eggs on toast and the blue swimmer crab omelette.

Ordered the Mushrooms on toast with goat curd, hazelnuts, poached eggs, pickled green tomato and foodie 2 had Swanny Breakfast eggs benny with ham, pickled cabbage, pretzel bun, salted ricotta and hollandaise. Both dished were well executed and tasty. Just a couple of small queries on my dish, the shrooms were great, goat curd had melted into the shrooms so maybe placed on the side would be better. I also asked for truffle to be added, nice touch, but it was shaved so finely that I really couldn’t taste it. I was also wondering where the green tomato was on the dish? Apart from these small nuances, the breakfast was still delicious. Fabulous place any time of the day!
We came here for a casual lunch on Saturday a few weekends ago. It was a cold day and therefore it wasn't as busy as it could of been. The venue is fitted out beautifully, the decor is fresh and inviting and the ambience was good. I ordered the crab and prawn linguine and hubby ordered the slow cooked beef ribs with a side of fries. The linguine was delicious! It had large chunks of fresh crab meat (something you don't find often when ordering a dish like this) and beautifully seasoned and cooked prawns. It was a little disappointing that it had not been handmade, that would of made it the icing on the cake. The fries were delicious however slightly under seasoned. The braised beef short ribs with celeriac purée, mushrooms, wilted spinach and truffle dressing was to die for! Beautifully cooked and seasoned which could not be faulted! I can see why this is a popular venue.
The food was great and the location is just amazing! The staff didn't seem to be very happy to be working that day, not a smile and pretty cold when taking the order.
Another weekend, another brunch. Amongst the many things W.A has to offer, its pristine beaches easily comes close to topping the list. So why not do brunch by the beach right? That’s exactly what Shorehouse had in mind. This popular restaurant takes in the sweeping views of the Scarborough coastline with both indoor and outdoor sitting benefitting from the million dollar view. Its brunch menu was nice and tasteful with accents of seafood written between the lines. After enjoying a hot Chocolate, I ordered an omelette to get my daily protein. This was not just any Omelette though! This was Shorehouse’s Crab Omelette.
Top rated! The food is delicious, I had the Blue swimmer crab omelette, miso butter, chives, baby leek and grilled ciabatta for $23.5. A bit expensive for breakfast but that's what you get when you order crab. I went with 3 friends and we were there for 3 hours. Amazing atmosphere, the decor is very well done - it feels laid back with beach Hampton vibes. I cant wait to go back and try out different things on their menu.
One of the best dining experiences in Perth that we've had. Our waiter was exceptional (French guy) and gave us awesome recommendations. Sun was setting. Food was so delicious. We had the tiger prawns and the 5 course set. The chocolate ganache dessert is a must try. One of the best desserts I've had in Perth. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
To drink, we had burnt butter old fashioned which was a concoction of barre noisette, salted caramel and mole chocolate; smooth, buttery, salty & sweet with a strong hit of alcohol.
The fried buttermilk chicken was juicy, tender & crunchy. It was an incredibly moorish dish which was just oh-so-good.
Tiger prawn, calamari & tomato broth, chorizitio, fregola, basil pesto. Full & flavoursome with perfectly cooked prawns and calamari piled on top in all its glory. The tomato broth was highly concentrated, with a hint of saltiness from the chorizo.
There was an abundance of seafood in the prawn & crab linguine. The linguine was cooked perfectly al dante & was ever so silky.
Dessert was pure perfection. The light, airy caramel sponge was the perfect accompaniment to the heavenly smooth coffee cream & sweet, sticky spheres of poached pear. To balance it all off, the goats cheese sorbet was cool and refreshing.
Went here for Sunday brekky just gone and the food and service was fantastic! I had the chilli scrambled eggs which came out super fast and was a great size. My only two small criticisms would be that I felt the menu was super short and my Chai laté was a bit cold. Super keen to go back to explore the lunch and dinner menu though!
Super expensive, teensy-weensy tiny serves (eg matchbox sized salmon portion for $25.50!!!), several gorgeous-looking service staff (but needlessly snooty on occasion), superb location when the weather is grand. Thankfully more secluded than other places in Cottesloe, not so touristy. Also...Terrible acoustics. The toilets - seriously wrong - the ladies requires you to be VERY friendly with anyone else in there. How did that ever get through planning?!? Anyway, the food is OK. Not great. OK.

When the weather for Sunday brunch lives up to it's dated namesake, the deck of the Shorehouse is a heavenly place to be. The azure blue of the Indian Ocean matching the sky and the warm sun matching the warmth of that first coffee for the morning....ahhh paradise!
The service this morning was better than I have seen there in the past, and perhaps the place was not quite as busy, either way great service and the coffee was up to the usual high standard.
The granola was made by the mango jelly and possibly could have been a touch bland without, so good addition chef.
The bacon and eggs (though had to be fabricated from sides to the poached eggs on toast) met the demands of mini-munchers and the raspberry conserve had a solid hint of cardamom which may challenge the traditionalists but I thought excellent.
Having been there for all three mealtime menus. I must say I prefer the breakfast menu, though possibly a touch limited in its range. It, for me, represents better value than for dinner.
Though the G&T menu is excellent!!
Recommended, particularly when wanting to showcase some of Perths finest features.
This gorgeous apot on the beach is a delight. We go here often for our small celebrations. Often filled in the day by housewives which i find amusing personally. The food is generally spot on and they love to change the menu seasonally to keep ideas fresh.
In the day you can get great beach views, the staff are relaxed and querky and food is fast.
If your looking for somewhere nice to go this is the place, well worth the drive and always leave with a smile
We booked Sunday lunch here for the first time for 8 of us. Lovely location overlooking the ocean and gorgeous interiors and lovely ambience. You have the choice of sitting outside or inside, and the outside has umbrellas which will be handy in the warmer months. I liked the booths inside the restaurant facing the ocean. The food was pretty good but the service of the food was very slow. I enjoyed the cod croquettes for entrée and my husband's mushroom risotto was very tasty. We both ordered the market fish of the day with parsnip cream and pancetta. It was nice but the piece of fish was tiny for the $38 price tag. Cocktails were great and the few who ordered dessert enjoyed the sweets but expensive at $17.50 each. I'd like to return during the warmer months and try the breakfast menu whilst sitting outside. Not sure if I would hurry back for lunch anytime soon though.
I had postpone my visit to The Shorehouse because a blogger friend said he's disappointed with the food quality. But today I decided to give it a go for brunch. What a beautiful restaurant The Shorehouse is! It's got several dining sections with different ambience, all very nice to look at. Moreover, we're happy with all dishes we ordered. Loved my Eggs Benedict with Blue Swimmer Crab. Tried my friend's Polenta Cake & Pork Cassoulet. Polenta Cake dish was nice. Pork was a bit dry, needed more sauce and beans could have been cooked a bit longer, an ok dish. Loved their 5 Senses coffee, as expected. Staffs were friendly, just service a bit slow. Overall, we had a good experience. I'd go back again for sure.

What a beautiful venue - location and decor! It was grey and rainy outside, with small bursts of sunshine every now and then and the four of us shared a cosy window booth. My experience with the service wasn't great though... a bit peculiar to start actually. The lady serving our table kept wanting to remove the water bottle for some reason... anyhow we moved the bottle up the table out of her reach and that was settled. I ordered the main size risotto and it came out entrée size, so while everyone else's meal came, and of course they should start so it doesn't get cold, I had to watch them eat till they brought out my main size risotto. The young lady serving us was very apologetic, fully acknowledging that it was her mistake, and that she heard me say I clearly ordered main size; I could see she felt bad that everyone was eating except me... I felt poopy too considering I was paying $40 for a main, for this to happen... but I didn't need to say anything as I guess my non-verbals spoke loud and clear... she 'got it'. My meal arrived 5 mins after everyone else's and was absolutely delicious! Shorehouse then treated us to a free dessert which we all shared, and they only charged me for the entrée size risotto. Everyone else enjoyed their meal also.
There is no doubt that The Shorehouse is in a stellar location - on a sunny, windless winter's day there is nothing quite so lovely as to be able to sit out on a deck with the view over the beach out to Rotto. Mid-afternoon and the cafe was mostly full. We were only in for a coffee and it was pretty good - smooth and creamy. Service was lovely.
Good venue on an amazing spot. Service is friendly and professional. Food is well presented. Not a cheap lunch but worth every penny! The terrace is just what you need on a sunny winter day. Water is bit pricey but once you pay they refill your bottle as much as you like. Wonderful when you have kids. Menu does not offer wide range of kids food but the chef makes every effort to accommodate your request. Good job guys
The Shorehouse, with views to die for and a typically Western Australian beach side ambience is a perfect place for breakfast, lunch or coffee.
The food is good, the coffee above average and the service is good but it depends on who you get on the day. It's certainly better service than the previous owners (The Naked Fig) provided.
I like this place because I love water views around Perth.
Excellent service. I ordered the confit duck which was delicious, meat falling of the bone. I also ordered the prune pudding for dessert which was a let down... The pudding should've been warm to complement the cold hazelnut icecream. I also wasn't a fan of the quince pieces scattered around the pudding. The red wine (Brash Higgins - Cab Franc) was the highlight of the night.

Booked online, no problem. We left the booking a little late, so had to settle for an earlier time of 0815 for breakfast on a recent Sunday. Outside deck area was full, so had an inside table, all with great ocean views.
The ambience is excellent for the location. Attentive & friendly staff throughout our visit.
Herself, had the "Heirloom tomato toast, poached egg, goat's curd, chill vinaigrette". Me, "Benedict eggs, cured pork neck, fennel and parsley salad, white wine sabayon". Fresh OJ & coffee also good. Generous serves & very flavoursome.
By the time we left, the place was humming & busy. Highly recommended.

Beautiful dishes that are cooked to perfection. I couldn't get over how tasty the lamb was and the special desert was to die for! The staff and friendly and really engaging! One of my favorite restaurants by far. I will definitely come back and recommend!

It’s pretty easy to get excited about a restaurant, located beachfront in this great state of ours, and when it comes from some of Perth’s elite in the restaurant game (The Trustee, Enrique’s School for Bullfighting and the Beaufort Local) expectations start high. This casual chic, Swanbourne beauty had been on my list since reopening as The Shorehouse, so I was looking forward to lunching here on one of our perfect sunny Autumn days.
As soon as we arrived and were seated I was loving the makeover. This place was now bright and airy with some freshness and vibrancy, and made me feel like I was in someone’s beach house, someone’s very nice, trendy beach house (minus all the people eating lunch of course). We were seated inside where there is a nice array of different tables and chairs, booths by the windows, higher booths at the back of the restaurant (ensuring you still get a good view) and a mix of tables. The outside deck with it’s yellow and white striped umbrellas also makes for a great spot to sit and stare out at the ocean. All the seating is designed with the view in mind so you get a glimpse of the shimmery blue ocean wherever you are.
Beautiful location. Nice Hamptons interior. Everything about this place screams 'On-trend'. We did have to ask the waitress to explain the menu but all three of us were very happy with our orders. The marron (mains) was lovely and juicy, the chocolate dessert was just to die for. Initially, I thought our waitress was a bit cool but then I realised she was just plain busy/distracted. By the end of the meal, when the place was quieter, she was more friendly. I just have two complaints about The Shorehouse. Firstly, it is really noisy inside and the three of us sometimes struggled to hear each other. The noise from the staff at the cocktail bar was really amplified by poor acoustics. Secondly, the seats of the inner, half-circle booths are very low! The table came up to my chest. It was awkward to eat at. I won't rush back to The Shorehouse just because of the general expense of the place but I was happy with our visit.
Food was delicious! Best service! I accidentally ordered a meal I couldn't eat due to overlooking the ingredients and they took it back with no problems and wiped it off the bill 😊 thanks guys!
I love this place! Most beautiful location and atmosphere. Good for a lazy brunch, for lunch and dinner while watching the sunset. I saw the menu change slightly between visits which was a plus, good to see they keep things seasonal. It is on the pricier side but is worth it.Sooo much better than the café that was here before!

Such a beautiful setting. They have done a fabulous job with the decor. Staff were so friendly and attentive, constantly saying to take our time with ordering. Went for breakfast and food was delicious, as well as coffee. Couldn't fault it really. Quite surprised by some of the other comments. Definitely worth a visit!
We visited this place in december 2015. We enjoyed the bloody marys and breakfast was tasty. I probably wouldnt go back unless its a special occasion because of prices.
I came here spontaneously to treat my sister after a stressful interview. We sat outside and the view was gorgeous (although the only downside is the wind we were subjected to). The same can be said about the food in both presentation and taste. We had the braised lamb shoulder, the trout, and the crab linguini, which we shared. Everything was memorable to eat and I definitely left very satisfied and I can't wait to come back for a special occasion.
Amazing view, great food and service. Came with a group of four, ordered the frutti Di mare which is a seafood tasting plate to start. The seafood was so fresh and every component was delicious. For mains we all had the crab linguine which was nice, my partner had the steak from their grill section. He said it was ok. Stick to seafood. Rose sangria was tasty and refreshing. I'd come back just for the Frutti Di mare!

Brilliant seafood and a few nice drinks.
Booked in for lunch for 2 which was a great way to enjoy the sunny Perth weather. The interior felt spacious while still offering a good seating capacity. Shorehouse has a casual beach vibe but tasteful décor gives some class and elegance. Service did not have a slick hospitality feel but was extremely friendly and matched the suburban location.
We shared the peach and almond gazpacho which came with poached marron. The dish was done well and there was enough marron in the soup for the price-point. Being a savoury gazpacho I don't think this would be for everyone and was more interest than pleasure on the palette. Would be a lot of soup to get through for 1 person and sharing worked well.
For mains I had blue swimmer crab and shellfish orecchiette. It had a generous amount of seafood with good chunks of crab, muscles and clams. Orecchiette had a chewiness that gave great texture to the dish and a rustic home cooked feel - delicious. D had kingfish with prawns and muscle broth. The kingfish fillet held together well and was complimented by the rich broth. The two large prawns were heroes of the dish and were relished. When seafood is good it is unbeatable. I couldn't fault the freshness and quality of produce in these dishes which were on par with the best seafood I have eaten in other restaurants. Well done Shorehouse.
We nailed a few cocktails and mixed drinks from the list. Dark and Stormy was the best of the drinks we tried. The addition of grapefruit and bitters added complexity to the drink and good ginger and sugar balance kept it tasty and delicious. For the cold drip negroni the floral and fruity characters of the coffee came through well. I felt that the balance of the drink leant a little on the bitter side, perhaps this could be managed by pairing with a more generous vermouth. West Winds Cutlass GnT went down well including the Spanish style presentation.

The Shorehouse is offers fantastic views over Swanbourne Beach with a welcoming interior.
The menu is extensive offering breakfast, lunch and dinner in a casual setting on the deck or more formal in the interior.
My choice was the Blue swimmer crab with Orecchiette and shellfish. The main portion was a generous serve and it did have a light pleasant seafood broth flavour, but I found it to be lacking in shellfish and crab and a little too salty.
The other people I dined with opted for the Braised Lamb with white been puree which looked lovely and some found delicious while others still had large chunks of unrendered fat.
Overall fantastic service and the food was nice but just needs a little more attention to detail.
It feels a little cluttered as you walk through the narrow door to the Shorehouse. This is primarily because there is a large cooper bathtub in the middle of the restaurant stocked with ice and drinks, plants everywhere; it's a little reminiscent of university house parties, but with a little more Hamptons style glamour oh and an open kitchen.
The starters that we tried were from their confusingly titled 'smallhouse' section of the menu. I did feel a little awkward having to explain to our waitress that we didn't understand the menu. The fried buttermilk chicken with yoghurt sauce was excellent. However the main course was not terrible but just a bit of a disappointment after such a wonderful start. The risotto was a bit bland. But the buttermilk chicken, I can't stop thinking about it. I wish I didn't agree to share it.
Went for lunch. Very busy but not busy enough to disregard walk ins. Service was friendly and very attentive. Kitchen did splendidly in what was described on the menu, to our expectations and what was delivered! Besides the view and the comfortable Hamptons feel, the package was great. Worth going again. Well done.
My partner and I came here on Valentines and were fortunate enough to get a table at lunch time with only a 15min wait. The risotto I had was lovely, and I could have had the side plate of chargrilled zucchini to myself. But, the real highlight was the desserts. I had a chocolate and caramel tart with mascarpone icecream which was absolute perfection, and my partner had caramelised pineapple, papaya, passionfruit curd and coconut sorbet. Soooo good, we totally forgot to take any pictures to remember it by - so we'll be back again!

Gorgeous location overlooking the ocean and plenty of staff to keep the steady crowd happy on a Saturday arvo! Ordered the crayfish burger which was absolutely satisfying - can't wait to return to try the rest of the menus but I believe bookings will be necessary to avoid long waits.
OMG!! Words fail me!! Went there today for brecky!! My god!! Thought I was going to the fig and pleasantly surprised to see that this was not the case! Gorgeous nautical chic theme, with a interesting and different breakfast, my husband and I like to have an alternative from the bacon eggs big breaky and this certainly provided this. Only gripe and quite minor is the chia latte could be improved but a minor detail! This is deffo my new fave breaky joint love love love it!! Oh and they do black pudding!!!!!!💜
Walked in on a busy Saturday and the staff went beyond expectations to find a table and accommodate us. Menu that wasn't full of dozens of choices but everything on it is quality and something for all palates. Classy drinks and food in a sweet location. Will be back for sure.
Good to finally see decent meals coming from this establishment, it's such a great location. Dinner for 4 was excellent and service 1st class. It was an 8pm reservation so admittedly it was reasonably quiet. Would love to see more vegetarian options.

Off to a rocky start. On arrival, waited next to the menu on show (most logical place to wait) to get a table, turns out the actual spot was a little further in. Some signage for where to wait would have been helpful. We didn't have a booking and Maître d said there wasn't a wait but we ended up waiting for 15minutes before being seated.
It was 11am. We were hoping to grab a late brekky but they'd stopped serving from the breakfast menu. So lunch it was. Ordered one each from the bites, smallhouse and the bighouse and it was just enough for 2 hungry mouths. The smoked cod and horseradish croquettes were bites of delight. Fried buttermilk chicken with pickled coleslaw deliciously salty but the smoked ocean trout, cucumber and faro salad was a little small. At $32 we were expecting a mountainous salad, instead got a small mound of farrow and 2 slices of avocado with bits of cucumber and smoked ocean trout, but the dish was well balance and the produce of high quality.
Service was a bit haphazard. Maître d looked frantic. What a beautiful, architecturally designed space. Set out had been really well thought out with some raised seats facing out towards the ocean. Would love to come back and order drinks and some nibbles to while the afternoon away.

I met my sister here for breakfast. Amazing location with the fantastic beach views. The place is also very beautifully presented in keeping with the location. I was impressed and had high expectations.
We were greeted by a friendly waiter, who took our coffee orders. Service was very attentive given the waiter picked up on our conversation about getting grilled under the sun; he came over and reseated us in a shady place! I felt relaxed and happy to be taking in the views.
Coffee arrived quickly and then we ordered our food. I ordered the benedict eggs, cured pork neck, fennel salad, white wine sabayon, and my sister, the pork sausages, scrambled eggs, pancetta, heirloom tomato and bone marrow panzanella. Lots of interesting items on the menu; I actually wanted to try the pork sausages but changed when my sister ordered it.
The dishes did not take too long to arrive. They were beautifully presented and competed with the views. The food was good, we both agreed on that, and we both agreed that it was not exceptional. Everything was fresh but it was lacking in the flavor department. My dish seemed fairly bland and dry. I think the salad needed a dressing, maybe something slightly zingy (fennel and orange are a match) to wake up the buds, and the sauce over the poached eggs was also fairly scant, and was mild. The poached eggs, however, were cooked to perfection.
With such a great location, how can you not fall in love, it was a shame the dishes did not pull me in. But I will try this place again for lunch or dinner given the raving reviews, and yes, I will enjoy again the views; such beautiful views.
This place is decorated very, very nicely. It was a stunning summer day and we got a table overlooking the beach. It was quite bright even with an umbrella but couldn't get a better view. Summer vibes ☀️☀️☀️ In terms of the food, I had a jaffle and it was fine. I ordered a long Mac and it was a little milky for my liking. Would still come back for the view tho ! 💯
It was pretty much a love at first sight situation when GG and I lunched at The Shorehouse recently. Granted Mother Nature really turned it on with sunshine galore and blue skies as far as the eye could see, but it was when we were shown to our table and I had a glass of prosecco in hand that I began to fully realise what a wonderfully special spot this was.

Mentioning “Swanbourne Beach” in conversation will usually bring about smirks and giggles from Perthians who associate this beach with those who like to get a true all over body tan. But as I once discovered, “that part” of the beach is a bit of a walk from the view you’ll get at Perth’s hottest summer venue – The Shorehouse.
Stunning view & location / great food (oyster presentation in box is great idea) / delicious gin cocktails and fabulous interior! Well done shore house - finally perth has a nice beach styled venue!

Yellow fin tuna was delicate and divine. The bouillabaisse was actually the best I've ever had. A glass of rosé champagne and an oyster for desert. Sensational!
Today, another day, we went for breakfast. It was really good. Love the brown butter with the toast. The pork jaffle was terrific. Thanks again.
Dropped in for late breakfast today, really busy but we still got a good table and excellent service. The food was superb, easily one of the best waterfront eateries in Perth. We'll be back.

Was a little sad to learn that the naked fig in Swanbourne was closing its door but all is well now because The Shorehouse has taken over that location! The Shorehouse belongs to the same family as The Trustee and Beaufort St Merchant. Situated by the beach and next to a fully fenced playground, the shorehouse makes it the ideal go-to spot for families with (or without) kids. We met up with some friends and headed to the playground and the beach before heading up to the Shorehouse for lunch. As we entered, we noticed that the restaurant was beautifully renovated and the whole place was bright and airy. We loved the new booth seats and my absolute favourite were the bright yellow umbrellas. We did an online booking on their website and when we rocked up, our table was already fully set-up with all 4 highchairs! After a busy morning we were famished! We promptly ordered babycinos and our coffees while we went through the tantalising menu. Drinks arrived shortly after and the kids were very happy with their babycinos. Whilst waiting for the drinks, the kids were given a colouring pack to keep them busy.

Had a fantastic dinner here tonight. I'm so impressed with the new fit out. Everything is so white, bright and beachy. Definitely a huge improvement compared to the Naked Fig. Felt like I was in the Hampdens (or so I would imagine)
The wine and cocktail list is extensive. Interesting list of gin and tonic combos starting at $11 including flavourings such as lemongrass and coriander. If I had known my Pepsi max was going to be $6 I probably would've had another g&t!
Shared the sweet corn and manchego croquettes, fries and buttermilk fried chicken with coleslaw as entree. Croquettes were gooey and very cheesy but the corn got lost in it all. Still yum though. Fries were below average. They were so pale and kinda soggy didn't even come with aioli! Fried chicken was good. Would order again.
Opted for the slow cooked pork belly which is cooked in a charcoal josper oven and was served with sweet n sour shallots, mustard seeds and peaches. Loved the smokiness of the pork, charred crisp outer and fatty, tender middle. Crispy crackling. Meat was cooked to perfection but the sauce was so-so with some very burnt bitter bits. This is a dish I loved so much I would come back and order again.
Service was good throughout the night, very attentive. Will most definitely be back. Could lounge around on that deck all day under the umbrellas! I know I said that about the The Beach Club at the Cott just the day before but I retract that and would so much rather be at The Shorehouse!!
There are some restaurants that you get a great gut feeling about - that you know you're going to love before you even step foot through the door. I felt this way about the newly opened venue The Shorehouse, which is situated on the picturesque Swanbourne beachfront and comes from the team behind powerhouse places like The Trustee, Beaufort Street Merchant and Enrique's School For To Bullfighting. Yes, it's safe to say The Shorehouse opened with great fanfare and high expectations.
It's hard to remain classy in gale-forced winds - luckily the food at The Shorehouse is up to the task.
Great Menu - I opted for the Pork Belly (because, Pork Belly) and was served one of the finest variations of this dish that I've tasted in Australia.
Succulent flesh, full of flavour, with skin so crisp you hear it crackle a mile away (closely followed by a moan that is normally reserved for after-dark entertainment).
Washed down with a jug of Gin, Grapefruit and Elderflower cooler... #Perthfect!
Came here on a Tuesday night with a group of 4. The staff were super friendly and welcoming and the interior of this place was amazing (so modern and clean). As we arrived at around 6pm, we could see the sunset while having dinner which i found beautiful. I honestly preferred the entrees over the mains. We had the chicken and king fish which were both very delicious. For mains we had the crab, stew and lamb. The crab was the nicest dish out of the 3 while the lamb was probably the worst as it contained a lot of fat and was quite salty. For dessert we had the pannacotta and chocolate hazelnut. The panncotta was super tasty and had the zingy BAM to it, we all wanted to eat more. The hazelnut was also nice.
Overall we were all happy and super content with everything, we would all return to try out other items on the menu. I highly recommend this place for catch ups with friends as its such a chill place with amazing views
Stunning restaurant right on the beach. Beautiful view from the deck. Weekday breakfast was laidback and enjoyable except for the overcooked poached eggs (no runny yolk!). Love the different breakfast options. Coffee was good too. One thing that wasn't great was the bathroom which looked and smelt... umm... in need of a serious deep clean.
Awesome breakfast. Eggs done perfectly. Sent the bacon back because it was undercooked for my liking and staff didn't bat an eyelid. One staff member was particular unprofessional giving a fellow staff member a serve in front of patrons which is my pet hate !!
Recently went for breakfast and would have to be right up there as one of best. I had the Buffalo mozzarella, poached egg & Avocado salad ,seeds & grains ,chill vinaigrette and my partner had the Benedict eggs, cured pork neck, fennel salad & white wine sabayon. Both dishes were outstanding, great coffee, great service and great view, couldn't ask for more! Will definitely be back.
Given the blissful weather last Saturday morning, we thought it to be a good enough reason to travel towards the west coast for breakfast. When we arrived at Swanbourne Beach the car park was all but full, and as we walked towards The Shorehouse, it was pretty clear this newish restaurant was drawing in a vibrant morning crowd, more than likely with the same idea of enjoying the early summer weather (only a couple of days now!).
The Shorehouse opened just a month ago, so I expect a short wait to be seated. This popular new dining spot is owned by the people from buzzed about inner city venues – The Trustee, BeaufortLocal and Enrique’s School for to Bullfighting. There are two distinct areas at The Shorehouse – the chic restaurant and the outside deck, shaded with yellow and white stripped umbrellas.
The view is amazing, but you pay for it. The food is quite nice, but not remarkable. The raw seafood lacks seasoning. The portions were a little small for the price, but as aforementioned youre paying for the view. The drinks are a delight. We recommend for lazy light lunches with a cheeky drink.
I was amazed by the view and location of this restaurant. The price tag on the lunch menu was very high but it didn't stop me and my friend ordering food. We ordered steak, stewed fish, breads, desserts and coffee. The fish and seafood was excellent (cooked to perfection), fresh and tasty as well as steak. However, the coconut, lemon curd dessert was a disappointment. But the cheese cake was very good also coffee.
Went here for breakfast. The renovation is well done and the restaurant has a Hamptons feel and the location is unbeatable right on the beach at Swanbourne.
The breakfast menu was not that appetizing so I had a muffin which was full of blueberries but I didn't see any almonds. At $6.50 it was a lot to pay for a muffin.
Muffin and coffee did not come out together and my friend's food and beverage came at different times too. Nor did a spoon so she could eat her delicious looking granola.
Coffee was ok.
Would return to try again as hopefully the service will improve and the reviews of the non breakfast menu seem more positive.

The Shorehouse is Perth’s latest addition to the beachside dining scene and what a welcome addition it is! The establishment comes with hospitality pedigree, of course, and it shows in the setup, décor, lovely service and general smooth running of the place. There is a very vibrant, positive energy about the place. It is bright with almost Hamptons-styled chic glamour and definitely one where you can enjoy a meal with friends, afternoon drinks or is just generally the place to be seen.
Their wine list is good, with a nice selection by the glass. Our server on one of the afternoons where we had lunch was passionate about the importance of using fresh and seasonal produce and had intimate knowledge about the wine list. She was articulate and impeccably well-trained and was able to make intelligent recommendations and she was such a breath of fresh air in the local dining scene where hospitality service is sometimes an oxymoron and not always brilliant. Nor engaging. We found out she was new to town from the Eastern States and had just started at the Shorehouse two days ago. Ah. So that was unlikely to be the result of a Shorehouse training policy but nonetheless, an excellent hiring choice which did enhance our dining experience tremendously. Granted the rest of the staff were always polite and friendly though our server did stand out on this occasion.
The food was delicious and fresh. My favourite would be the blue swimmer crab linguine. It was light and very tasty.
You do pay upmarket Perth prices even though it's branded as a casual chic restaurant. However, there are not many beachfront restaurants across Perth that are trendy which also serves good food. I can see why the Shorehouse is always packed and bustling. Join in on the busy hum!
Stunning view with a casual beach feel. But the food is anything but casual. Closer to fine dining the food is fresh and packed full of flavour. I had the selection of three crudo (sashimi) and my only complaint was I wanted more. The fries have a smoked flavour added to them and the crab linguini was chilli, garlicky and tomatoey (all in good amounts). Agree the slow service is probably what let's the place down but once you get the waitstaff's eye they are very friendly and willing to help. Otherwise it gets it right on everything else.
We attended a function at the Shorehouse last week and were delighted with the decor , the view and ambience are spectacular. The food was amazing and the service friendly and attentive. Will definitely return and thoroughly recommended
We had a wonderful Lunch for my birthday with 14 people (including 3 children) and were well looked after by attentive staff. The children were catered for with a children's menu and a Sea Theme colouring in Pack. We ordered from the lunch menu and some dishes were quite small eg Fish and scallop dish and Beef cheeks - the children's steak meal was more substantive. When my dessert came out the staff wrote Happy Birthday on the plate and lit a candle which my grandchildren loved!Overall a lovely afternoon in a perfect location.
Three times we have been and my only complaint would be the staff. It's like there's hundreds of them, but it's a ghost town any time you need to order anything. Also just dumping stuff on the table and bolting in the other direction before asking if you need anything else. Otherwise the food is great, drinks menu is awesome especially the Gin and Tonic options! It's a Beach Club that you can actually see the beach from.
We dined at here yesterday for our anniversary lunch and it was pretty much perfect. The fit out is beautiful and it's obviously a beautiful location. Service was warm and efficient, and the food was superb. I had the crudo, as I love a bit of raw fish, and the flavours were amazing. I had the Rockpool's crudo recently, and this was so much better. We also ordered a serve of duck fat potatoes which were the yummiest potatoes I've ever had. I didn't know potatoes could even be that good. My husband had the sirloin which was a generous serve and beautifully charred. It also came with thin onion rings which he raved about. For me the menu isn't one where I was spoiled for choice, and my husband felt the same, but the chef obviously knows his stuff and based on our experience the food is some of the best in Perth. I've booked again for a couple of weeks from now and can't wait to go back.

The server we had that took our order was quite abrupt in telling us the beef tartare is raw and the crudo raw.. I mean.. A little tact ? Perhaps also not avoiding the table when the mains were taking too long would have been nice too.
Grace McGurk and I dined here tonight (Tues) and what a delight. Food, service and vin all on point which I'm pretty sure is a rarity for a W.A. coastal restaurant. Better book in quickly as I don't think they'll be anything available over summer. PS get the lamb rack with a big juicy red and look into the sunset.
Really enjoyed our lunch here today, fantastic space, pretty damn good food, nice wine list and good service. Just a couple of niggles, please supply clean cutlery with each course - I mean, why wouldn't you? ...........and would have loved an egg yolk on my steak tartare - but we will be back for sure ☀️🙌🏻❤️

I was lucky enough to attend The Shorehouse launch last night and what a night it was. The concept is to bring together the best Western Australian produce coupled with beautiful views, perfectly chosen wine and amazing service. So far they have been spot on! The canapés were delicate and the flavours were very well balanced, the crab arancini with saffron mayonnaise was my pick of the night! However it is hard to go past their indulgent desserts, mini lemon meringue pie and peanut butter squares.....I was in good heaven! The wine was free flowing in beautiful glassware and everyone was having a ball. The venue itself was incredibly well thought out, an upmarket beach house feel with most of the seating facing towards the oh so lovely view of the beautiful beach. I can't wait to head back to The Shorehouse for another night out!
Enjoyed the Shorehouse for coffee with friends a few days ago. Impressed with the fit out, varied seating, friendly staff, but not with the volume of the music both inside and out. Please Shorehouse, quiet background music, some people like to have a conversation

Had breakfast there and the place was l amazing. Was greeted by very attentive staff and given a table overlooking the beach. Food was served warm and promptly. Was pleasantly surprised that the bread had a wood fired fragrance to it. Had the crab omelet and it was bang on in terms of taste. Crab meat was nicely seasoned and could taste the crab. Only feedback was there was a few pieces of shell in the meat but it’s not a deal breaker. Coffee was served hot and nicely made. Decor of the place was nice and relaxing.
Impressive menu, high quality modern cuisine with local produce, accompanied by great wine and idyllic location.
Five stars food, but overall experience four stars given the service could be slightly improved (tbh — was peak hour on a busy day). Service met expectations but could be improved with greater attention to detail (didn’t get cutlery, difficult/timely to seek service attention for additional orders).
We’ll still be back to try the whole menu!
We certainly got a perfect day weather wise, as was everything else. From the friendly service, to the delicious gin cocktails, and then the food. Just fantastic. There is a focus on sea food on the menu, but there are some good vego options too. Plenty of interesting flavours and unique items on the menu to try. So good.
Its really nice place next to the sea. Good view, vibe and very good service. Staff very welcome even we dont have a booking. The food really tasty. Delicious pasta and love the cider as well. And i love it. Worth to try. Will comeback
Came to the Shorehouse for a long, leisurely Sunday lunch. It was superb. The setting is perfect, overlooking the sea with cool breezes wafting in from the beach.
The food was excellent. Every mouthful. We had the scallops and the salted cod croquettes for starters. And the swimmer crab linguine and the pork scotch fillet for mains. Wow. Delicious.
The Forest Hill Riesling was a perfect accompaniment.
This place has one of the most amazing settings of any restaurant in Perth. Great atmosphere with an amazing view overlooking the ocean - great place to go for lunch or dinner alike. The menu is wide and can cater for tapas style eating or a more serious mains if you’d prefer. The dishes were very well cooked and tasted fantastic - with such a wide array of dishes I’ll definitely be back again! Thoroughly recommended.
Probably one of the best brunch spots in Perth on a beautiful autumn day. Food was great, service was really good and the outlook superb. Seated inside or out is doesn't really matter.
