Review The Pizza Lounge - Swanbourne

Unintentional stop, had parked up to go to the butcher, had always wanted to try here but hadn’t been open when I had the urge in the past. So glad I tried, easily the best pizza I’ve had since returning to WA. Had the large inferno and was going to take it home, but changed my mind last minute and had half (62.5%) of it outside with a can of colonial pale ale. Base was amazing, meat was great and had just the right amount of kick for me (I like it spicy). I will be back

Good food and service. I especially enjoyed the margherita pizza with tomatoes on it - so juicy and refreshing. Staff were friendly and helpful (they lent an Uber delivery guy bags for 8 pizzas that he couldn't fit in his bag and also bringing the pizzas out to his vehicle). Although it seemed like there were many pizzas that were being prepared for take away/ delivery, our food got to our table quickly. This is not common in a few other eateries I've been to. We will definitely return for more pizzas when we're in the area.

Surprisingly good pizza's here, with nice thin bases and reasonable quality toppings. Although I wouldn't recommend eating here, as it seriously lacks seating and a pleasant atmosphere. Update: Recently had another pizza here, whilst still very good, did find myself and those I was with, very dehydrated so not sure how much salt was added to these pizzas..

Good place. They have wide variety of vegetarian options and they are quite good in taste. The vege#1 is awesome but if you don't like artichoke then try vego. Korma curry pizza is also good(comes with lots of leafy vegetables), add chillies if you like it spicy.

Small but very busy little place. The young men knew there pizza. The crust was crispy and toppings were fantastic. Another little authentic place for great pizza without the frills of the bigger eateries, but they kick the others butts hands down winner. Grazie mille per cena. Baci

This Swanbourne pizza shop makes the best woodfire pizza, and the pasta is also on the top of our list. The staff are friendly with great service. Tonight was fresh out, so we chose to sit inside with the restaurant heated by the large pizza oven. It's nice to have local eateries. Takeaways are extremely popular too. Parking is easy with ample parking right outside. Thank you Andrew, and co.

realised they had given us the wrong pizzas when we got home. Went back to get the original pizzas, and they were barely cut! $50 down the drain for terrible thin crust pizza with weird toppings.

I used to be a local, and it was one of the things I missed about moving away. Fortunately it’s not too long a drive to still go there. Great variety, good presentation, really fresh toppings and crisp bases. Friendly staff. Don’t go for the decor, it is pizza after all!

We had the Pizza Lounge cater our small party on Sat night. The pizzas and service was exceptional. The pizza base was just perfect and the toppings really tasty. My new fave is the pear and Gorgonzola cheese. Thanks guys.

Best pizza in Perth!!

Hands down the best pizza in Perth... Just try the Buffalo Margherita... holy shit...

A lovely meal. We got take away and the pizza arrived with a crispy base, the nobook pizza was delicious particularly the spicy sausage. Garlic bread was crispy with a good dose of garlic. The pear salad was tasty. Overall a delicious meal.

Blown away with how good our pizzas were last week, best we've ever had in Perth, my favourite being the Craney, the garlic bread was out of this world. Dining in was also a great experience, the dim lighting created a warm intimate feel. Finally, they immediately gave our young kids colouring pencils and paper which kept them happy so our taste buds could enjoy everything. Cant wait to go back!!

I used to love this place. I havent been in ages but since we've moved back to Swanbourne we thought we'd reminisce. I ordered a glutenfree vege#1. The base was fine but I was so disappointed when it came to the toppings. There was supposed to be fetta, but ive never seen fetta melt like ordinary cheese, and it was scant. And there was hardly anything else on there. 4 pieces of artichoke and a few olives, 2 sundried tomatoes. Incredibly disappointing.

Really tasty woodfired pizzas. Ate here last night and had the cream cheese, sweet potato, onion and bacon pizza, and the cacciatore, chilli, ricotta and rocket pizza. Ingredients tasted so fresh, and it felt like each had its place and purpose on the pizza. I will definitely come back here!

Blandest pizza I've ever eaten. Save your money and go to dominos. Especially the take away pizza. Honestly guys not that hard to add some salt or pepper....at the least.

Excellent. Small place with very pleasant traditional italian pizzeria atmosphere. I ordered the rocket salad (large portion, nicely dressed with a very fresh olive oil dressing) and shared the white pizza (garlic, sea salt and rosemary and perfectly cooked). Great service (thank you to the staff). Looking forward to go back. :)

If only I lived closer! Enjoyed pizza here with friends. It's just big enough for a group, and there was a lot of takeaway business going on, always a good sign! Pricey, but that's the area.

Had a meat lover pizza which was Awesome as it was soft in the middle and yet crispy on the outside. The price was decent for the portion. The pizza reminded me a lot of New York style pizza.

Came here for dinner. It was pretty much walk in, grab a menu and sit down type service. I ordered a lamb gluten free pizza and my friend ordered a meat lovers non gluten free pizza. We found that the gluten free crust was dryer. I thought that the pizzas were a tad too expensive for what we got. I like how they offer gluten free options and pasta. I found that the base of my pizza was pretty thin and the crusts were dry (tastes similar to a home made pizza in an oven). Despite this, the restaurant had a nice atmosphere.

One of my all time favourites. The Craney Special is a taste sensation. I love the pasta here. The white pasta - olive oil based is delicious! Mushroom and ricotta throughout! Everything on the menu here is worth trying!

Constantly disappointed. I was a regular customer for years but when last year they changed the pizza chef the quality pizzas have ended. Our recent two orders had burnt toppings and one of Saturday's deliveries arrived cold. Dominos can do better than that!

Average at best, chicken pizza had burnt toppings, tropical pizza had about 5 pieces of pineapple. Both were dry and the BBQ chicken just tasted like nothing. Tropical had a nice sauce but WAY too much pepper. Overall a nice base but could really be improved by the toppings, maybe add optional sauce to be added to the top like aioli? Probably won't be back

Two weeks ago I bought three large pizzas which turned out to be dry, sadly lacking topping and tasteless, quiet the contrary to what I am used to getting from them. I complained and was told that they had new workers on duty who would be retrained etc. We were given three vouches for our trouble. Gave the place another go tonight which is two weeks later. When we ordered over the phone, told them we were not happy with previous order etc. picked up the pizzas, this time they did not even have any cheese on them. Dry and tasteless again. I can only assume they have changed ownership but all I know is I won't be ordering from them anymore.

Great spot, great potential. Live locally and like to support the local businesses. Phone order made, told 50 mins which is reasonablle on Friday night. Arrived, and collected pizzas, they were luke warm and the service at point of sale was astonishingly bereft of any form of pleasantness for a service industry. No smile, curt, abrupt, rude, and complete indifference. Contempt was displayed when I asked about the credit card proceedure - train your staff guys, I am no fool, and do not like been treated with contempt because I did not understand what was said... The difference between a large pizza and small piazza is noticeable, but the price <br/>difference is hardly noticeable. . Unfortunately I will not be returning, nor recommending, and suggest they train their front desk staff in customer serivce.. I reluctantly make this negative review, but I have never had such <br/>sour serviicew/reception before in any food establishment.

This place makes great pizzas but my biggest gripe is the fact that they don't stay open past 9:30 on weekends and don't deliver later than 9.00pm - this is seriously average for a pizza joint-lift your game and stop contributing to the 'Perth-is-boring' mentality!!

Not the best Pizza but it's probably the best in the Western Suburbs. Always super busy, over priced, but then so is everything else around the area.

The most delicious pizza's and the salads were so tasty, fresh and best of all, the ingredients used are only the highest quality! Not worth the price. Took our 3 little ones for an early dinner here, ordered 2 large pizzas, one carbonara pasta and 3 drinks (1 beer, 2 juices).<br/><br/>Pizza was pretty good, bases were thin and crisp. The pasta was so awful even the kids wouldn't touch it. It was like bad 80's garlic prawns, minus the prawns! Soooo much garlic, and definitely not the fresh variety. Ended up having to buy another large pizza to be able to feed the kids. When i told the waitress about the pasta, she offered to make us another one - ah, no thanks the first one was bad enough - but no offer of a refund.<br/><br/>Total was $103!!!!!!!!!!!! For 2 adults and 3 kids under 7.<br/>Unbelievably expensive. Even with a 2 for 1 voucher, it came to $79. Won't be going back

Just had a takeaway pizza. Deeeelish! Simple but one of the best ive had in Perth. Yummo!

Thin on flavor. My god! What a waste of money. This place is the reason why there should be a restaurant regulator with the power to shut places like this down. Avoid at all costs, especially the one to your wallet.

Ok... Its totally fine for a family style dinner or for teenagers/students to go for a big italian feast<br/>wouldn't suggest for anything other than casual quick dining but the pizza and pastas are still yummy.<br/>chicken calzones are also a must have apparently, also home deliver so thats a bonus

I recently went to the pizza lounge for dinner and I must say the pizza is very good, but it's massively over priced.. 20+ for a single person pizza leaves a bad taste in my mouth

Average food & Terrible Service. I am a local & ate in at the Pizza Lounge last night (19/12/2012). Firstly we waited at the counter to be seated before a significant timeframe passed & staff walked around us before acknowledging & being seated. We had checked the Pizza Lounges website and Urbanspoon as to whether it was licensed/byo. Pizza Lounge website says "Licensed + BYO" and Urbanspoon says "BYOB" yet the waitress would not allow us to open our Matso's Gingerbeer so we ordered wine. The waitress didn't come to take our order so we went to the counter to order only to be told to pay then until I told the waitress we may want other food & I received a filthy look. We asked for water and the waitress told us to get it ourselves not help ourselves. We ordered garlic bread with tobasco and 2 pizza's. When the garlic bread arrived in its thick huge chunks we soon discovered it was beyond stale. I told the waitress as she cleared our plates but it was not acknowledged. We then went to pay and I asked the waitress when the bread was delivered for the garlic bread and she wouldn't answer me & my question brushed off, one of the other staff members at the pizza oven overheard and it took a few times for it to be acknowledged. The cost of the garlic bread was finally acknowleged with the cost being removed from the bill. This was appreciated, however, the Pizza Lounge could definitely do with working on their service and some of their food.

Good stuff! Will be back!. Contrary to earlier reviews, I found the staff to be very pleasant and the pizzas to be most lovely!<br/><br/>Took away the Nobook (wow wow wow) and the meatlovers (none of the nasty processed stuff that some other places use).

Pizzas are great. I lived in Italy for many years so know my pizzas and the base is cooked just right ... First time we went I thought it a bit hippy but the staff are great and work so hard. Can be a pain when you have to wait 40 minutes for a order if you phone it in but I guess that shows you how good they are. Their coffee is also tasty!! A great casual eatery !

Great pizza. Ordered two take away pizzas and a salad for delivery last night. Service was prompt and friendly. The pizza's were fantastic! Haven't tried the salad yet, but looks great too. Will definitely be ordering from the lounge again.

Pizza Lounge RIP OFF!!. I bought some coupons for pizza lounge and when I tried to redeem them they kept telling me they were fully booked and couldnt get me in till after my voucher expired - I asked if I could get take out instead - no. they seemed happy to book me in unitl I told them I had a booking. So overall they are crooks - take my money and then can't book me in!!! these people are SCAMMERS - so not buy from them!!!

Great variety. I really like the pizzas here and the choice is really different from your normal pizza place -great to see some variety

Yeah Mondays!. $30 for 2 large pizzas - awesome. Great pizzas, even better if you can head down to Swanbourne Beach after picking them up to devour - don't forget your bottle of vino! Yum.

Ok for trendlords. Ugly goggly eyed male staff. awkward. uber trendy. worst ticky tacky music. uncomfortable dine in experience. pizza ok for the rare delivery but definitely overpriced - cashing in on all the 'new wealth' idiots strutting around swanny. ugh

Pizza was average and cold (delivered). Ordered large Tina, got a small of something else. They offered to take it back but we didn't really want to wait another hour!

Ordered a vego pizza and tomato and rocket salad. Pizza was tasteless like plastic and avocado in salad was brown and the tomatoes had turned rotten. Will never go their again.

Funky Lounge. The pizza lounge is awesome. The fresh wood fired pizzas are tasty. They can get very busy on Friday and Saturday nights so my recommendation is to order early. Well worth a visit - eat in or take away. You will not be disappointed

Excellent. Went there with my husband and kids on a Scoopon voucher. The decor was really nice and their pizzas are fantastic. We all enjoyed it and will definitely be back.

A+ pizza. Quality toppings with a base cooked to perfection. Nice enough decor and atmosphere to sip a glass of wine and share some pizza and salad (generous sized gourmet salads) with friends. Yumo scrumo

Seriously GREAT pizza!. Went down to The pIzza Lounge on the weekend from a recommendation from some friends and OMG - awesome pizza's. We must say that we reckon its got to to be the BEST here in Perth! LOVE the Craney Special and the Vego was too good to resist too! HIGHLY recommend. Its licenced as well and it really has a cool, happening atmosphere. Very busy so I suggest you book ahead. We are making this a fav Hot spot!

Good friendly service, charged me takeaway price when I actually dined in. Ordered the BBQ chicken and it was so tasty that when I was full I just could not get enough of that homemade BBQ sauce and smokey wood fired pizza flavor so I keep eating and ate the whole pizza which u will understand why this was a huge effort wen u go there for the serving size is pretty big.

Hit the spot. Had take out on a thursday night. Great service as only had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes. We ordered 3 real tasty pizza toppings. They were different but very tasty. Not to much cheese which is the way I like it. The prices were okay. I would eat their pizza again. I would recommend this place.

Love the pizza, not the services. Having got takeaway from here several times now, I can confirm that I am addicted to their woodfire pizzas! Beautiful thin crusts (just the way I like them) and really good quality toppings. We have tried the ham and pineapple, supreme, margherita and the calzone. All extremely good.<br/><br/>However, the service and attitude of the staff everytime we go in is quite another thing all together!<br/><br/>Would like to vote with my feet, in regard to service, but the pizza is just too good!

Lamb is the new wagyu. A stunning array of pizzas on selection here, with something to please everyone. The Lambuel L Jaxson was a firecracker, with just the right amount of lamb and chilli to provide a balanced combination. <br/>The wood fired olives were nice with a slightly "melted" texture, although at $9.50 they are a little overpriced.<br/>Inside can be quite warm, so sit outside if possible, and enjoy one of the better pizzas in Perth <br/>Food 8/10 service 7/10 decor 7/10<br/><br/><br/>-----10 Apr, 2010-----<br/><br/>A great pizza eatery away from the busy and crowded places. Best Pizzas in Perth!. Great staff, prompt service and now it is licensed! Went down to my favourite pizza spot the other day and was stoked to see that they now are licensed. The restaurant is small but cozy, and well worth a dine in to try the rest of the menu, but the real stars of the show are their pizzas. A lot of effort is put into making them unique, and they always seem to have fresh ingredients. Highly recommended!!!
