Crackles Classic : š Amazing
Crackling Cup : š Great
What a delight it was to finally get my hands on a sexy pork crackling roll from Mr Crackles. The pork was juicy and the slaw was refreshing. The crackling cup was so crispy it was deafening to eat but no complaints there. I think sprinkle a bit of salt on the crackling and it would be a 10/10.
Been a couple of times and have tried the bogan, char sui bun, chicken katsu and lamb rolls. None disappointed, Char Sui being the new favourite. Pork cooked to perfection. Like how they are open til late.
Belly pork!
The sandwiches and salads are amazing - delicious slow roasted belly pork, plenty of crunchy crackling and light fresh salad. The real crusty French style baguette was a great touch. A little bit expensive though - nicey but pricey!!
Local popular small store, the seat is very few, ordered the classic, hard roll inside cucumber and carrot, put five pieces of fried pork belly, taste is super, vegetable salad and greasy meat match just, although the bread is a little hard but personally like this kind of wheat flavor is stronger.

Crackling pork paradise here!!! The cracklings very crispy. Not too salty. Love all the rolls and the onion rings. Good for dine in or even take away
The chicharron here was litterally amazing. I got the standard sandwich which is pork and Vietnamese slaw. In a soft roll or baguette. I found myself just going for the meat. Was a little crowded but the wait wasn't that long.
This place is crackling as its name. Known for good American meals and fresh salads. Filling were good on the rolls but there was bit of potatoes overload in the veg portion. Pumpkin roll was to die for. Wedges were crisp and so do the BBQ Dio.

When you been hanging out for a @mrcrackles hit for so long, then you finally make it, you know you have to devour The Crackles Classic.
With that crispy delicious crackling that after the first bite made me think āwhy did I take so long to make my way out here?ā
Now this place is a must try!! The bread is so crunchy and soft it soaks up that lovely, juicy pork fat and the crackling, oh the CRACKLING!!!! I seriously wished my stomach was a bottomless pit. I couldnāt get over how good everything tasted together. It was seriously a beautifully #deliciousbite

The pork crackle is my life! I'm so glad you guys came to Melbourne! That keto life and crackle is just love. I would dust pork crackle dust on everything if i could.
The best crackling in the business.
Try so many different type, but for me this is the best.
Havenāt been back to this shop for ages, so I decided to come and visit and get me the slab of crackling.
Pure indulgence when you bite into this crispy salty crunchy bites and your taste bud sense the umami flavour.
Was there at 11.52am but the shutters were not up. Went back again at night to get late dinner, ordered classic, bogan and crackling. Very little crackling given. Overall taste was good. Fresh hot pork belly served on the bun. By the way they have to revise their operating hours on Zomato and their website. There is a notice pasted outside their store stating that they are allowed to operate from 11am-11pm and till 10pm on Sundays. Not wee hours like before so itās kinda misleading.
Who could say no to a crackling?!?Ā Just a small shop along Oxford St.Ā You wouldn't even notice it immediately.Ā I often see this shop whenever I take the bus going to the city.Ā And one day decided to push the husband to buy whatever that shop is selling.Ā Turned out they have sandwiches and crackling chips and and and roasted pork belly!Ā It's a bit expensive for $75/kilo compared to Chinese BBQ shops that also sell roasted pork for $30/kilo.Ā Anyway, for the sake of trying it, we bought around 400 grams of that yummy belly.Ā Ā
It was truly yummy.Ā The meat just melts in your mouth followed by that salty and crunchy pork skin. Oh my!Ā Give me that rice cooker!!! Sorry, I'm Asian, rice is life.Ā We never get to try the other products of this shop but I bet its all awesome.Ā Like chocolate, you can never go wrong with well seasoned pork belly.Ā Ā Sorry no pictures - they are gone before I remember to take one.Ā Like every time.
I just got their pork crackling and that alone was amazing enough for me to tell that everything else on the menu would be just as amazing. They topped the crackling with some Thai dressing which complimented it really well.
Great tasting melt-in-your-mouth pork with crispy crackling! Only wish the store had more seating because eating one of these rolls standing up is quite the challenge.
Came here for brunch and waited till they opened. Ordered the sweet pork roll and it was amazing. Visually it didnāt look as good as the normal pork roll. Mine was tender soft and very sweet. The bun was the highlight for me as it was soo soo soft. Overall very good experience but highly recommend to get the soft bun!
Friendly and quick service. The crackling on the pork is out of this world. The winner though was the char siu (honey roast pork). I had both as'just meat' options and loved every single bite.
Ordered takeaway Mr Crackles, I got the roast lamb with veg (roast potato & pumpkin). Lamb was delicious, well cooked & flavoursome. Veg was a nice side, would have been better with less potatoes. Overall a good takeaway meal for $15 that fills you up. Some of my friends got the pork rolls which they recommend trying.
I am honestly a big fan of char siu! And the roll was perfect! Soo tasty and flavourful! I love that the bun was soft so you could taste the meat, sauces and vegetables! Was my favourite in comparison to the classic crackle. The classic crackle was more refreshing but the roll was too hard, which made it abit difficult to eat. But overall, if you like pork that is abit more sweet and soft with more flavours, go for the char siu, and if you want a more refreshing taste, get the classic but maybe swap out the roll, unless you really like crunchy rolls.
Ordered the Char Siu Bun and Crackles Classic. Definitely a western mixed with chinese style. Even though i am half chinese, I am surprised about how defined the taste of the Char Siu was and how well they roasted it. Round of applause, for making pork buns infused with chinese oriented meat. Would come back for different items on the menu. Well done.
Small place with a few counter seats that opens until late! Ordered the classic crackles and the Chasiu rolls. Both were good, but I preferred the Chasiu.
I was fully expecting this place to be overrated, but it is actually really good.
The pork roll while expensive is very delicious. The crackling is so crunchy, and the pork meat is so moist and tender. The bun is also very crunchy and freshly toasted, and the coleslaw just has a hint of sour and freshness which balances the fat so well. The seating area is tiny though, and it does get quite busy.
The Bogan is not very good though. Cheese not melted and gravy to thin. Also the crackling in a cup is not good. Too thick which makes it very hard. My advice is just stick with the roll
This really hits the spot when you are very hungry, feel like pork and want something on the go. The pork crackling is so crunchy and satisfying. My favourite would have to be the crackles classic . They completely load the rolls with pork and salad so beware, it can be challenging to eat and can get messy! The rolls are large and very filling so I wouldn't suggest ordering fries and other things. I have ordered the sticky pork fries once before but it's nothing spectacular and the fries were soggy and way too salty for my liking , wouldn't really recommend it. Staff are friendly and service is quick. Definitely recommend their rolls!
You should try this place if you are a pork lover! The roast pork is slightly dry though, but the pork bun was fairly tasty. Very generous portions of food, itās more of a take away joint as they have limited counter seats for dine in.
The rolls are really large and filling so don't get too many sides because we got three and regretted it after. Good value for money.Ā
We ordered the Crackles Classic - crispy pork balances nicely with the fresh viet salad, the Bogan roll - not a fan of the soft bread with the crispy pork, pulled beef roll, BBQ wings, Hot Chips and onion rings.Ā
Everything was pretty average but the crispy pork was very crispy and tasted very good: a bit salty, how it should be.
The first dishes my friends and I had upon landing in Sydney were safely not a disappointment. We ordered the Crackles classic, the Sticky BBQ Pork and the Chilli cheese fries. Needless to say, we were in pork heaven!
I would say I prefer the Crackles classic over the one we had. It was both juicy and tender, and the crunch from the skin only gave it that extra zing. On the other hand, the Sticky bbq pork was quite rich and overpowered the other flavours in the bun.
The chilli cheese fries were unfortunately, quite standard and nothing really stood out. The fries werenāt crispy, and the meat didnāt have semblance of āchilliā or a peppery-kick to it.
It has a really good product, although it needs to step up the buns do not complement the amazing meat that this guys do, the brioche gives to much sugar to the Sticky BBq Pork and the bread from Crackles Classic is too big so everytime that you get a bite is 70% bread and 30 the amazing deliciousness that is inside, by the way it is a great bread but I feel that this two amazing ingredients do not go together. In saying this the crackle is really good, by itself or ready to add some spicy sauce.Ā
The chicken wings need to be properly cut, whenever you see the complete thing it's awful you need to cut the tips and cut in half the joint or else is just grotesc.Ā
The service is amazing quick and the place is really clean.
Food Is Really Great
+3.5
The sandwich is super heaped with pork which is great but so hard to eat.. Iād recommend grabbing a fork for if the sandwich falls apart and turns into an impromptu salad.
If you haven't been to Mr Crackles yet then you need to get yourself over to Oxford Street!Ā
Crackles Classic: Pork Crackling on a crispy baguette with Viet salad - basically I treat it like a Bahn Mi with ALL the naughty extras and only treat myself on cheat days.Ā
The rolls here are heavenly and remind me so much of the pork rolls I had in London at the Borough Markets - the vibe that a tiny hole in the wall shop can cast, everyone stopped in their tracks in the middle of street, eating. They're by no means healthy, but you know that, and in any case, that all goes out the door when you take you're first bite into that delectable pork crackling.Ā
Ā
Try it, no regrets :)
Whilst you cannot fault the deliciousness of the pork belly nor the crackling (which continues to last for days after in the fridge), the baguette is so hard, it is difficult to bite into which ruins the meal. If not, 5 stars for sure.
I got the pork nacho fries. Pork crackling and chips were delicious. However, tomato paste was a bit too strong for my liking. Will ask without it next time
If I get fat, i will blame you guys. Your bogan roll should come in plain packaging with a limit to only sell each customer only one per week
Who doesn't love some good crackling & pork belly! There wasn't much choices of meat when I was there, it was roast pork belly or the roast pork for the Char Siu. I got a mix of that with salad (bypassed the rolls as they looked massive). Both style of the pork were great, the meat were of a fatty cut, you can see the layer of fat interlaced through the meat. The crackling on the pork belly was crunchy & crispy, the meat was soft, easily pulled apart & melting in your mouth. The char siu was soft & great, sweet & salty flavoured as you would expect from a Chinese BBQ shop. The only let down was the salad, which was overdressed and was drowning in the dressing.
Delicious gem in the heart of Darlinghurst on Oxford street! This joint opens late at night on weekend til 4am, lucky enough we came on a quiet weeknight and didn't have to wait in line at all.
The sticky BBQ pork was definitely a must, the pork so moist it literally melts in the mouth with heavenly BBQ marinade was def to die for!!! Also recommend the pork crackles - I also got the chicken Katsu roll which was only OK, there was not much flavour

YUM! YUM! YUM! Mr crackles definitely crackling! They are usually busy, I wish they had a store out west although I don't mind making a trip to the city for a pork roll! 10/10 must visit!
We often come here for a quick and easy feed.
Love the fact that we know weāre going to get a good meal, each time.
We keep it simple and stick to the Crackles Classic ā so delicious!
You have to try the Sticky Pork Fries ā theyāre the best!
Go ahead, spoil yourself, have a cup of crackling too ;)
Best pork you could ever eat.
Pork crackling has so much flavour that you'll be wanting more. Every time I have been to this place and ordered a different roll, i have not been disappointed with each choice. When you go late at night on fri or sat night - it's packed. Despite how insanely busy it is, you'll only ever wait a max of 10-15 mins, its worth the wait and the flavour is worth every cent.
I hope one day there can be more Mr Crackles around Sydney and this place is a huge success.
I finally had the chance to try Mr Crackles and it did not disappoint at all!
As expected after a long night out partying, I needed something amazing to fill my empty stomach. I had the sticky BBQ pork which was surprisingly good. I loved the pork which was packed with flavours and the addition of onion rings which really made it x10 better. The bun was soft and fluffy, just the way I like it! I had absolutely no regrets demolishing it in 5 minutes.
The only downside for me was the fact that I paid $13 for a pork roll where as in the Western suburbs, I could get one for under $5. That being said, you can't really compare the two.
Despite the hefty prices, I can't wait to be back and try the different options on their menu - I have my eyes on the crackling and pork fries. I definitely recommend Mr Crackles to anyone who's feeling a little "naughty" and wanting to spend a little more for that tummy of theirs.
First time trying MrCrackles and I was pretty impressed! The meat was soooo soft it was like pulled pork attached to salty delicious pork crackling. The salad in the Original Crackles roll was a bit bland, couldn't really taste the mayo and the baguette was sooo hard it was very difficult to eat.
Follow my insta @burgersnbikinis
Oh Mr Crackles how I adore you. The definition of a hole in the wall eatery on Oxford Street, who pump out a perfect pork based (but other stuff too!) menu. Many people mistake Mr Crackles as drunk food, perhaps the fact that there's very limited seating and it's proximity to the nightlife of Oxford Street has led to this. But, with their addition onto Deliveroo, you can now enjoy their tasty creations anywhere! And this time around I was lucky to enjoy it as part of a mass office lunch order! So basically a food feast for 40 - I almost lost my mind!
Here's a snippet of some of the food we shared:
Loaded fries - ermargerd. Thin style fries smothered in bolognese sauce and heaps of melted cheese.
Buffalo wings - juicy chicken with that buffalo kick.
Sweet potato wedges - OMG get these! They are perfectly cooked, seasoned and served with a moreish chili mayo. These were such a hit!
Crackling - we literally had an entire platter stacked with crispy pork crackling. It's a little dry, and a total tooth breaker, but has that nice salty crunch to it.
Roast veggies - roast potatoes and pumpkin, just in case there weren't enough sides already!
Sticky BBQ pork roll - I had this one to myself! Served on a soft bread bun, it's loaded with sticky BBQ pork, ranch salad and onion rings. A meal in a bun and a total winner!
Other rolls on offer were the Crackles classic, chicken katsu, oh and some boring people also ordered salad. Which looked not bad but seriously, if you're ordering Mr Crackles don't bore me with your salad choices please!
What a feast. I was one happy Saz. Also full. Very full. But worth it.
Saz - burgersnbikinis xx
Iāve been to Sydney a few times lately and once again this meant trying some great new places to eat with my brother. The first one we went to is called Mr Crackles, which on Oxford Street in Sydney and is all about the Pork. Ok so they do lamb too, which Iām sure tastes amazing but who can go past pork and that lovely lovely lovely crackling!
Finally tried Mr Crackles and wish I would have done it long ago. I had sticky BBQ pork and the taste was amazing. Heaps of meats, crunchy onion rings, the sauce was sweet and the ranch balance it out. The soft bunch is awesome too, so soft with well baked skin.
I'll come back for more.
The shop is very simple, straight forwards and staff is nice.
The only thing I hate was the high table bench (up to your face) and chair, very hard to seat and eat.
Was around in Darlinghurst at night and felt a bit hungry, so decided to try out these overprice pork rolls, everyone's been raving about.
Coming from the west, pork rolls should only be around $4-5, but when I tried the roll, I was quite surprised by the quality in their produce.
But overall, it's pretty good for a pork roll, but not really worth the $$$ in my opinion. Only when you feel like spoiling that belly of yours.
Showtime āš¼
I'm like... 100% a Mr Crackles fan. Been eating the pork belly rolls, like since day 1 when it opened. I love the Vietnamese roll twist to it. The salads are refreshing. The crackles are always on point. If you do over-indulge, you might get sick of it though, haha!
Man-wich might interest some of you gentlemen who are not fans of eating your greens.Ā
And yes, there is a vegetarian roll, don't you worry. Mr Crackles has got something for everyone.
A great place for a quick bite. Music is really loud, so I reckon you might not want to stay too long.

The first time i had MrCrackles was about 6 months ago at 12am on a Friday night. I had just came out of Trill Nightclub and needed something to keep me going. I had the Classic Crackles and it was amazing!
However, I went there a few days ago, and things weren't like how I had remembered. We ordered a whole heap of food between the 2 of us and nothing was spectacular.Ā
The bread for the classic crackle was way too hard, I'm not sure how I even managed to eat it whilst being drunk. The meat was a bit salty, but thats okay.Ā
The cup of crackling was easily the best thing we ordered.
Shared sticky BBQ pork fries and a crackling cup with a friend for a late snack. The crackling was on the dry side and lacked flavour. Very crunchy though, which I liked. The pork fries were delicious. A little too sweet for me so I'm glad I was sharing the serving. I want to come back for the rolls when I'm hungrier. They looked great and very generous in size.
The crispy pork skin its so crispy and delicous. The onethat i tried is like pork roll but with the crispy skin of pork. The pork is soft. The price is worth it with the food
For a little store on Oxford Street - this place is great! I mean Pork Belly Sandwich Rolls? This is pure genius. What's better is the pork belly fries! The Guac, tomato salsa and sour cream needs tweaking though, lacked a bit of flavour. Would def go back! Love the concept and lovveeee pork belly ššš

The crispy pork belly in the crackle classic did not disappoint.. the meat was so tender and the skin definitely had a good crunch. The bread didn't taste like a traditional baguette but I still liked it. For me the pickled veggies needed to be more pickled and there was slightly too much mayo in it which overpowered the roll, making it not as 'fresh'. The service was a bit slow even though there was only one other person waiting. Overall it was nice to try but I'm not dying to go back.
The sandwiches are amazingggg! Sometimes the pork crackling tends to be on the really dry side however it's still a great place to eat :) the classic pork and sweet pork are definitely my faves
Had a classic. Definitely good meat. Hesitate to call it banh mi though! Recommend asking for more chilli, I did, and if I go again I'll ask for even more. (I saw the docket said "medium chilli")
Mr crackles is amazing!
Where do I begin? From the classic crackles roll of course! Crispy, Crunchy amazing pork crackle with juicy, succulent and tender pork
Meat with it! Complimented so well with a Vietnamese styled salad, all served in a crunchy baguette styled bun!
The sticky BBQ pork roll served on a soft bun was an absolute treat! Tender pork with another refreshing salad!
Both amazing rolls were complimented with amazing sides!
Onion rings so crunchy and big and came with a French onion sauce! Both tasted amazing!
The chilli cheese fries were in my opinion just as good. With amazing food and affordable prices, you cannot go wrong with having a feed from Mr, Crackles!
It's a place that I HIGHLY recommend you get yourself to!
For someone like me who is too lazy to cook but doesn't care for burgers or fast food, Mr Crackles is a saviour! I always liked its sticky pulled pork roll but oh my it was even better to serve on top of thin cut fries. Ā The meat was tender and full of flavours, maybe a little bit too sweet for some people but I didn't mind it. Ā The onion rings were amazing, probably the best of its kind I tried. Do you know they had new dishes on the menu, yes all with an Asian influence. Ā Hongkong BBQ pork belly baguette or Japanese chicken katsu with wasabi mayo. Ā I went for the chicken katsu. Ā Portion wise it was huge, four thick slices of fried chicken fillets sandwiched between crunchy baguette. Ā The wasabi mayo was right on point, just enough heat to taste the wasabi without the rush. Ā
With new home delivery apps, now I can have my favourite fast food whenever I crave for it. Ā It satisfies every time!
Funny story, found this place when desperately looking for a place to eat around Museum Station. Friend did a quick google search and Mr Crackles came up. Very small restaurant with minimal seats, but we fortunately found two. Staff were efficient, and I loved the speed.
Ordered the 'Crackles Classic' for $13.5 and the onion rings for $7.5. Definitely good value for money. Very crispy pork (have tissues ready since it gets messy eating) and would definitely support it, if you're looking for a quick feed around Museum Station.
We found this place because it was near our hotel. Generally pork is not our first choice but somehow we just have to try crunchy crackling! We bought $5 of crackling cup and a lamb roll. The food was yummy! The crackling was not too salty, but it was definitely crunchy! They sprayed a 'special' sauce and it worked well! The lamb was tender and the baguette was just nice. We hope they won't open a branch in Melbourne so we have another reason to visit Sydney!
When you go here, don't be tempted by all the fancy ones, just go for the classic. The other ones are fine, but the classic is the best. Leave the other ones for the regulars.
Once I saw photos of the sandwiches from Mr. Crackles with roast pork, I knew that I had to pay them a visit. Mr. Crackles is located in Surry Hills, not too far from the CBD. The storefront is quite small with only a few bar style seats so you will likely have to take your sandwich to go during peak hours. The seats are too low for the counter though so you will have to stand anyway.
Ordered Classic Roll. Pork meat was nice and crunchy. But the roll was a little too hard to chew. Salad and mayo dressing was fresh and good portion
Amazing! In Sydney for Te week and I got the pumpkin roll here last night there was so much flavour the roll was so crispy it was perfection I wish they were also in Melbourne :( will definitely be back next time I am in Sydney
This place has been on my radar for a while and finally got to try this place on a Friday night. Got the classic roll and it was a heart attack of deliciousness- so flavoursome and fatty. The onion rings were alright but nothing too special
This place was recommended to me and it certainly lived up to my expectation! Had the lamb roll which was delicious and had to order another to takeaway. Friend had the classic crackles which I will try next time.
How good is Mr Crackles? Especially after a few Friday night drinks.
I'll always remember that first bite. The freshly baked roll encasing that super-crunchy crackling. With every mouthful you get the saltiness and sharp crunch of the pork tempered by the tang of the vinegary carrot and crusty bread.
I'm always excited to go here and am never left dissatisfied. I love how their rolls are inspired by Vietnamese flavours that really takes pork and pork crackling to a whole new level.
But please, oh please, just give us some seating!
One of the best roasted crackling pork I had in Sydney! It really impresses me with their tender and juicy pork and just amazing crispy skin! It is a place you must try if you are a big fan of roasted pork!
Oh my Lord! It ain't health food but I like it :-) on recommendation went for the Crackles Classic, pork is so juicy, and very generous with the crackling. Lots of mayo too which I like. The only downside for me was the roll, they use a Banh Mi Tay (Vietnamese baguette) and it's too hard and crispy. With all that crispness going on with the crackling, they need a soft roll option - the roof of my mouth is in a bit of pain..
Update
Perhaps thanks to Foodluva, they now have a soft bun option šš¾
The Mr Crackles classic is now officially heaven in a bun..
Very very nice pork belly. The crackling skin was so good. Wasn't at all dry. Very juicy. Pork belly here is Better than the dining room at park hyatt. Definitely coming back.
The rolls are all right but the rest of the food options are sort of overrated given their prices. Service is all right, with fairly nice staff. However, they don't seem no-nonsense enough in dealing with some patrons. As for ambience, Oxford Street and the plethora of drunks detracts from the calibre of this hole-in-the-wall joint.
This place is everything it promises to be and is exactly what you expect. It attempts to do a certain thing and does that perfectly. Yes there may be a need for better seating or more personality but this is not the purpose of this wonderful little gem. The food is undeniably unhealthy but is arguably the best pork I have ever had. So satisfied and is the first time I have ever given a place 5/5 on zomato! Well done!
If you're looking for snack after late night drink, Mr. Crackles is the way to go. The Crackles Classic sandwich with aoili sauce is 'magnĆfico'. The staff are very pleasant, one time I have to wait for longer than usual and gave me free Cup of Crackling! A must try at Darlinghurst area.
The crackling is golden & crunchy! The rolls are super generous & deliciously meaty! Mmm... And I also enjoyed the potato gems topped with cheese & rosemary!
This review is on behalf of Hubby as he's the one who craved and ate the thing (share with another guy). Roast pork was juicy but the crackling was tough. Price wise, expensive.
The crackling pork in this roll was absolutely divine. The crackling had the perfect amount of crisp and the meat melted in my mouth. Worked very well with the salads and sauces. A bit on the pricy side, but it was a treat!
Snap, CRACKLE pop! The standard crackle pork roll from this joint is absolute heaven for any drunk or sober person. Forget the kebab, forget the pizza and forget the maccas. If you want some epic, fulfilling fast food, Mr. Crackles is your destination.
If you're a PokƩmon fan, think of your regular vietnamese Banh Mi (pork roll). This is probably sitting at level 28. Then imagine if it levelled to 60. In which case, if it permits, it would have reached its final evolution and then some. This would be a Mr. Crackles pork roll. Hearty, filling and an excellent choice after a few alcoholic beverages. You think it's all crackling and crunchy, but then you reach the actual meat and your like, "Oh my goodness it's so damn tender and juicy!!"
I would also highly recommend that you request extra sauce and hot sauce on the side because it transports your modest standard pork roll into a freaking beast of a sandwich. No regrets.
But it's not all smiles and happy times- this place is super small, so unless you're stopping by during an off-peak dining time, you best prepare yourself to a) takeaway your meal and/or b) wait a little while.
The first time I came past here with my mate it was pretty touch and go as we were on our way to Paddington for Australia Day and they had run out of crackle by 2pm. What's the point right?
However, after the teething problems we came back on another occasion and weren't disappointed as it delivered what we had expected. But there was still something wrong as the crackling on there own had some strange sweet glaze on it which was way too new school for me.
This time round, it was perfect. After seeing so much media and the business go from strength to strength, the surprises were of the good variety. There was an abundance of crackle and roast pork and sticky pork ribs as well as quite a few cooks at the back that gave more reassurance everything would be spot on.
Ordered the signature Mr. Crackles roll for $13 and it was almost perfect (needed just one more piece of pork to justify the price imo). The baguette was roof-of-mouth tearing crispy with a light vietnamese slaw just enough not to take away the attention of the perfectly cooked moist pork which had very minimal fat and light salted crackling sealed the deal.
The mini bucket of crackling were not sweet this time nor too salty and it wasn't tooth shattering hard. They had kept the sweet option via a spray on glaze which they asked you upon ordering. They have truly perfected the art of the crackle as there were no chewy pieces in sight either. Will be back to try those sticky pork belly and the chips with meat everyone keeps talking about.
Don't Believe The Hype

This is the best takeaway roll i've had in the CBD. It is no doubt expensive for what it is but it is better than all the burgers and rolls of competitors in the area so its worth it.
I go the crackles classic all the time, the pork is cooked perectly and the sald is nice and fresh/complementary
Truly a trailblazing store that is still going strong so many years later. Some of the food is a little overpriced but the taste more than makes up for it. Such a unique experience that never disappoints. The OG roll is still the best!
We had mr crackles cater our event for 50 people and the mini rolls arrived warm and delicious. Great range of different mini rolls to choose from, with the duck being a surprising favourite. The pork crackling was terrific as usual. Definitely worth getting the crackling sheet, it's an impressive display on the table and it stays crunchy and fluffy without being stale, soft or chewy throughout the day. Could have done without the salad trays, they didn't travel well and wasn't as flavourful as the mini rolls.
Maybe the noodle boxes with the meat options are better but just the salads by themselves weren't a wow factor. Overall very happy with the catering service and would highly recommend for a fuss free, delicious option to feed a large group of people
I ordered on Uber eats. However, the pork belly was really good! It was perfectly juicy and crunchy.
The pork belly was really good! It was perfectly juicy and crunchy and it paired well both with the tater tots and the bun. The duck bun (Mr Quackles) was, on the other hand, quite average. The duck was quite dry and tasted okay. I would recommend sticking to the pork belly!
Iāve taken away here a few times and everything Iāve tried has been really good! Try the Classic Pork if it is your first time.
Delicious pork belly sandwich. Worth a try if you're in the area
