Platform818 in Chippendale, NSW was a good meal. But service was great thank you to our waitress Sayli for attending to all our requests.

I have been here twice already and both experience was great. The food was lovely and good quality. I loved the honey halloumi and trout omelette. Also I would definitely recommend the rib eye steak šŸ„°
Service from the team was great too, especially the lovely lady Juliet šŸ˜Š

I recently had the pleasure of attending the launch of platform 818 and with such a unique space you can see the appeal. Such a lovely addition to the mecure hotel and itā€™s all about the qaulity Australian dishes & highball cocktails. I love how the space opens up for the breakfast & lunch time buffet, and later block out blinds come down to cover the arches and transform the space into a more intimate dining room for dinner time.

Seriously- ā€˜Do yourself a favourā€™! The food at Platform 818 is delicious, fresh and innovative. The menu is well balanced and diverse and it certainly has something for everyone. The beautifully presented dishes excite your senses. They are so visually appetising. Platform 818 is also comfy and spacious with plenty of room in between tables.

The whisky and truffle experience was a great concept with an amazing decadent hand made truffle. The bar manager was friendly and knowledgeable and the new bar had a cool and funky vibe. Didnā€™t get to try the food this time but would definitely come back

Not much variety for mains on the menu but food was lovely. I had the lobster and steak. Wasnā€™t much for half a lobster but it was still nice.

The place is new so nice ambiance, good drinks and good appetizers. I got the havana cocktail, it was okay. I like how generous they were with the cheese platter and the salmom was good too, I saw other customers get steak and I'd like to go back for that, it looked delicious. Pretty pricey here so we used a discount on EatClub.

We ate breakfast here while staying at the Mercur hotel. In the early morning hours a single staff member can be seen getting bread set out, filling juice containers and eventually setting out the hot food. It is enjoyable to watch the softly lit rooms with steam rising around the copper lids of the hot serving station. This solitary early morning worker is fantastic and treated us exceptionally well. When honey replaced maple syrup for pancakes he brought the maple syrup to my 7 year old because he knew that is what she wanted. The food selections in the breakfast buffet were wonderful. Each day many items stayed the same, but a few changes occurred day to day. I loved trying new foods along with regular favorites. Our entire family (ages 84 to 4) was disappointed when we had an early morning tour and missed breakfast. Overall, starting and ending our ā€œopposite side of the planetā€ holiday here was great.

Classy Eatery and a COVID safe venue šŸ˜· Its my birthday, my darling sis decided to surprise me and boy was I surprised. The venue is vibrantly chic with jazz background music, not too loud. Very cosy. The service was impeccable. Greeted with a friendly happy voice sound coming from her mask. I could already imagine her smile. Everyone gave their best service on that night and I was immensely happy. Itā€™s my birthday, so I got a perfect cocktail tailored to my taste which was amazing. Thank you ! šŸ¹ The crowd pleaser was the chocolate truffle brĆ»lĆ©e which was very artistically theatrical. What a great night - Highly recommend. Special mention to Ann. Thank you for your friendly attitude.

This restaurant is AMAZING. Ann took such good care of us, never let our drinks run dry, and make the best recommendations. She was so sweet. We had the surf and turf and the pork medallions. The ambience was relaxing and intimate, the drinks 2were exquisite, and the food was both beautiful and delectable.

I really enjoyed my dinner here, the food was amazing the Will Stud Haloumi was amazingly tasty. I also loved my fancy Gin & Tonic with Fairy Floss and the staff are very friendly, and decor of restaurant is beautiful which all makes for relaxing & peaceful dinner. Highly recommend especially dyring this time of Covid, When we can support our local Restaurant. Also the price is not as expensive as you'd think very reasonable.

Intimate atmosphere with dim lighting and jazz music playing in the background. Was served by Juliette who gave exceptional customer service. My husband and I shared the Honey Haloumi starter and we both had the two course special - Creamy Crab Meat Spaghetti served with Tristan Bay Lobster Tail and for dessert, the Brioche Bread and Butter Pudding laced with Frangelico and handmade coffee icecream. Couldn't fault any of the dishes. All were delicious.

Cool rustic atmosphere at platform 818 not too far from central station. We received a warm hearted greeting from the staff who were very attentive to our needs throughout service. We had the duck confit and beef cheeks which were beautiful. Duck was flavoursome and tender. The beef cheek was buttery and just melted in you mouth. Definitely recommend this place ^^

3 of us came for dinner and booked under ā€œthe forkā€ app, and rewarded 50% discount on food. Started with bread, and olives on the side. I asked for butter and come hard and still cold which wasnā€™t supposed to be served to table. I did order sirloin steak, come with potato gratin and choice of sauce, which I ordered mushroom sauce. Steak was cook to perfection, broccolini perfectly cooked, and the gratin was one of the best Iā€™ve tried, outside was crispy, and layered of those potatoes was parfumerie me with garlic and touch of cream & butter, I think. My meal was yummy. Pork medallion was presented very sleek and modern, that come with mini apples and celeriac salad. Lamb rump by the look of it it was tender and cooked to perfection as well. Chips and truffle aioli was ordered as side dish for three of us. Bourbon and pea can pie was perfect to have as dessert, those vanilla ice cream and some sauce ( I think it was mapple syrup) was delicious!
