Scotch egg was amazing had the last one only pints of beer and half pints place and surrounding is amazing
PJ’s bringing back the Sunday Roast! This dish was simple, delicious and perfect in every way! Throw in some live Irish music and sports on tv and there’s a winning combination! The service was quick and effective, the atmosphere was great (although a little hard to chat, but that’s kinda the point with live music) and just overall a great night!
Pictured is the PJ’s Sunday Roast (lamb roast with char and mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, a Yorkshire pudding and gravy)
Went here for a business meeting and was pleasantly surprised. The rib eye steak with vege and mash was delicious! Wish I could have sampled some beers, will do next time.
Good food and variety of beers but the staff aren't the friendliest of people. Booking a party upstairs was easily done with set menus ready for all guests. They accommodated our guests dietary requirements well. Good ambience in the pub with good music and beautiful wooden interior.
Had a birthday lunch yesterday with colleagues.
Service was really good, we pre ordered the food, they confirmed with us before cooking.
Food was really nice too.
Price is affordable, portion is huge (all my colleagues were so full and satisfied)
Steak was awesome, nicely cooked and delicious.
Beef stew was well made too, made me very warm afterward.
100% happy 😊 Will definitely come back.
After walking around the CBD for an hour to find something different for dinner, we almost decided to just go back to the hotel and get a room service but finally ended up here. My husband loves fish and chips as well as I do. The place was a little too crowded for a week night, and a group were playing a game quiz near our table. My husband enjoyed his beer but the fish and chips tasted average.
Irish beers and hearty pub grub served over 2 floors decorated with dark wood and Guinness posters. A legit draft Guinness was something I was excited to try and it was my first glass of beer, ever! I tried their 400g steak with wedges and salad for only A$19.99. It was a steal! Awesome! A must try if you get to visit Sydney!
Good spot in the city for a beer and a catch up.. Was in town and had lunch at this pub good size servings and tasty food. Can't fault it was really good and well priced..
Great evening.
The food was great and the atmosphere.
The service was generous.
The Guinness pie and desert was something to go for again.
Definitely a good place to frequent.
A solid Irish bar, with good beer and a decent schnitzel. I love the atmosphere in here, dim lighting through stain glass windows reveals the nooks amongst the heavy wooden furnishings.
Couple of vegetarian options.
Nice food. Service could be better. Liked the mulled wine. Staffs could be more warm and friendly, thought they are a bit quiet and don't smile much.
Love this place - our waiter was actually Irish! Great service, wine and food!
Good saturday lunch. We enjoyed the piping hot Beef & Guinness Pie and Irish chicken curry, followed by a delicious Baileys Bread & Butter Pudding with warm custard, which I highly recommend. Good food and good service!
Back again and still great pub food and drinks at reasonable prices. Service is heaps better than last time I was here too. Was a great dinner.
Sunday nights are the best - live Irish music with musicians & the food is very good. I can highly recommend the Risotto.
Great pub, good pub food!
Enjoyed a perfect rare steak and a good ale. The upstairs section is quiet enough to carry a conversation and loud enough to exude a good time vibe. Good value for money.
Such a great bar. Not your typical touristy Irish bar - it's exactly what you would see on the corner of your street back home in Ireland! Chicken curry is delicious, pie is unreal and the Sunday roast (chicken only) is yummy! Eat here all the time and love a good pint of magners on tap!
Great feed and great service especially for Christmas eve! Sport on the TV's everywhere and the general atmosphere was fantastic
Friendly staff. Good vibe - feels like I’m back in a pub in Ireland especially with the live music. However, food is average.
The fried chicken stack was crispy but burnt. The beef Sunday roast ($19) was a bit tough and dry and the Yorkshire pudding was a little deflated and oily. Irish sausages and pies are tasty but all the dishes are quite salty. However, portion sizes are generous.
Usually quite easy to find a table to eat.
A great experience at P.J.O’Brien’s! Visited on a Sunday evening! Great atmosphere with live music! A very good list of beers and other drinks! Great food that’s simple and has great taste! Will definitely return again soon!
First time coming here. Was very impressed. A nice bustling atmosphere and really delicious food. The beers are served by the pint which is great for an authentic experience. Brought me back to memories of my time in the UK.
Nice pub. Had a nice pint of Killkenny and a beef and Guinness pie. Very tasty!
Popped back again and tried the cod & chips. Very tasty and such good value!
We went on a Friday afternoon. Great pub with very friendly staff lots of beer and wine to choose from and the food was excellent.
Classic Irish pub. Dark, gloomy and good vibes. Good was good. Group of 6 and everyone enjoyed their meal. It did smell very strongly of bleach tho but that just means they clean. If you're staying at the Grace and need somewhere easy and close to eat I'd suggest here.
It looks like being in a pub in Irland. Guinness, live music, dark wood everywhere. Good vibes and there is always a table where to sit. Perhaps one of the best Irland pubs in Sydney?
