This is the indian restaurant closely tucked in the street of pyrmont.They do home style indian food which is not over spiced or too oily.Simply love the dal tadka and fresh rotis.
Been to Vrindavan restaurant during our recent tour to Australia. It was a group booking and restaurant had managed it very well. Only concern was of space, restaurant tables chairs arrangement is slightly congested for large group.
Food taste is amazing especially the non veg dishes. My personal favorite was triple combo ice cream (chocolate, vanilla and strawberry) served. Also, vegetarian food has lot of variety and great taste.
Additional point for friendly staff (Beautiful Nepali girl - Sry missed her name. Drop in comment, if you know). She was very helpful and friendly, catering food across all the tables. Specially like to appreciate her helping nature towards Senior Citizens in group.
If you have not been here yet you should. An absolute delight.

Sizeable portion sizes but food is quite average.
I had a fish curry and asked for it to be extra spicy. The curry base was tomato based and didn't taste fresh. The curry was spicy but not flavoursome.
The garlic naan in contrast was huge and delicious. No skimping on the naan.
The gulab mains were juicy, sugary, fluffy and mouth watering yum.
You get a discount on your meal for take away.
My first visit, they were running short of staff wherein the chef himself was out in Restraunt and taking order and gelling with customers ... they way he adjusted the dishes to suite our requirements was simply awesome ... food served are not only good in taste ... would recommend to all
Food is good,taste is good.
But its not all the taste ,it is also the price at which you get it.
It is expensive compared to other Indian restaurants.
Hospitality is good and chef is also good.
Best part is chef can tailor dishes according to what you need.
The one thing that they blow up completely is kofta dishes,when did malai kofta curry became green.
Gajarka halwa is good and kulfi is nice
Awesome food and service. Only downside is the wine. I'd advise to byo. Very simple decor, but who cares when the food is great and value for money. Definitely will back!!
I had the meat thali which was awesome. The butter chicken and obvious stable was great and the chicken tikka was the star. The only disappointment was the dal, although I admit it is never a favourite of mine at most places. All in all a place that I will keep coming back to.
This restaurant is excellent. The food was exquisite. This is no average chef. He is a geniius chef. Don't be put off by the small servings as you will be surprised at how filling as the food is so rich and so flavoursone. This is indeed my favourite Indian restaurant.. The service is also friendly and excellent. Pricing.....it isn't expensive but it's also not a budget priced restaurant. What a wonderful culinary experience!!.

Best Indian Food Ever!. I went to Vrindavan a couple of weeks ago with family and i'm due for another visit asap. The chicken tikka was unique and the naan breads were soft and fluffy. Good value for money. The owner/head chef was very welcoming and actually interacted with us and other customers. Best Indian food I've had in a long time. The onion bhaji was delicious and something i don't see often on menus - highly recommended.
Great food, not-so-good on the math. We enjoyed the food here; the goat curry was outstanding; melt-in-the-mouth finger-licking good and a generous portion. The palak patta chat and the achari paneer were very tasty but the portions on the small side. The garlic naan was also good. We used an entertainment book voucher and were surprised to find (after leaving the restaurant) that we received a 25% discount for our food, but paid in full for the beer (it should be 25% of the TOTAL bill, not of the food alone). Only a couple of dollars overcharge, but it niggles.
Indian at its best. Went to Vrindavan with a couple of friends from out of town. Went with chef's recommendations. Palak Patta Chat was unique. Had a lot of Chat's before but never so good. Very colourful and the presentation was outstanding. For mains, Lamb Shanks was well suggested as it was raining outside and it gave us the warmth as Shanks are supposed to be a wintery dish. The Chui-Mui Kofta had a rich sauce and yet the cardamom-fennel flavour stood out. The parathas melted in our mouth. Could see the delivery driver busy, entering and exiting frequently. A definite visit again when we are in that area.
This was by far the best indian food experience of my life! Absolutely delicious and the best chicken baryani you will ever find @ vrindavan.
Best Indian. I've eaten alot of Indian food before, and I would have to say this was the best I've had. Food was fantastic and the service was excellent. The Chef recommendations were excellent and the servings were very generous. Best Value for money!!!!
Mast Food - Must Visit. Its a must visit restaurant. Its a great experience dinning in Vrindavan. Usually Indian restaurant are cramped and cluttered, Vrindavan is nice and tidy. Food is yummy, I will highly recommend it, must try Restaurant. Try Palak Patta Chat, Achari Paneer, Onion Pakoras .... yummm.
We held a Diwali dinner for 60 people at the restaurant. Amit developed a wonderful menu to suit all our dietary requirements and ensured there was plenty of food all night! Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The whole night was brilliant!! We would definitely recommend this restaurant for dinner or further functions.
Awesome and unforgettable food. I am being in Sydney for 3 months and have not missed any day having dinner at Vrindavan. Awesome food, Awesome service, Awesome ambience, Awesome Quality Awesome Awesome Awesome. I think this is what i say when i have food out there. NEW TALENTED CHEF!. We were told that a very talented chef had taken over Vrindavan, so we tried it out on Monday. We had an incredible experience!
After perusing the menu we were ready to order, but then an elderly Indian work-mate, who considers himself a Connoisseur, asked the waiter if they had specials that day. The Chef personally came to our table to explain the specials. Our so-called connoisseur recognised the Chef from his visits to Abhi's over 2 decades ago, plus he had also seen him at Nilgiri's, so theirs was a joyous reunion.
We trusted our 'expert' Indian colleague to order for all of us. He chose 3 entrees from the regular menu, not the specials. First came crispy Spinach Fritters topped with a trio of sauces - mint, date-tamarind and seasoned yogurt. This dish was a textural and flavourful delight, it was sweet, sour, minty and spicy at the same time. Even a spinach-hater would love this dish.
Next came a Savoury Pancake which was stuffed with a spicy potato mix, accompanied with some unusual chutneys. Our third starter was Lamb mince patties. The entrees don't sound too glamourous, but everything tasted so good that we fought over the last morsels.
For the mains our 'expert' selected a Chicken Biryani, which is a baked dish of curry combined with rice. Like fried rice, but much, much better. This was from the regular menu. One boring bloke in our group ordered butter chicken, he said that's the only Indian dish he enjoyed. I tasted a spoonful and found it quite good.
They had 6 dinner specials that evening from which we chose 2. Since the 'expert' ordered for us, I don't remember all of them. Our first special was Goat Curry in pickling spices. It was served on the bone, but that was fine with us, for the tender meat was falling apart from the bone anyway. Our expert told us that Indian always preferred cooking curries with the bone on, for it improves the flavour of the dish. We agree!
The last dish was the best of the evening. Fresh Blue Swimmer Crab stirfried in the most divine, lip-smacking sauce. They provided bibs and utensils to help us get at the sweet crab meat, but our expert advised us to use our hands.
The crab dish was a little exy, but worth it. The other mains were about 18, and the entrees were around 10, so the bill was reasonable.
The desserts on the regular menu were OK, just average, but the Chef promised to serve special desserts on our next visit. The only complaint was the music, the Indian guy loved it, but I think the playlist could be more eclectic.
Was great service and delicious Currys and good all together. Would definitely recommend this over the more expensive ones near the harbor that are no where near as good.
Best curries in city. I have visited the place twice now,, really nice food. I believe its under new management. Loved the chef's specials of the week.
But menu has been almost the same since at lead last three years no new things. If you are vegetarian then think twice. Very limited choice for vegetarian and compare to price quantity is very very limited. 1 curry is not even enough for 1 person and you will be charged $15 just for curry

Unpretensious, good service, authentic cuisine and a chef who goes out of his way to oblige. Good value for money. Enough said. Now one of my favourites.
Fantastic food, full of flavour. Love this restuarant! The only drawback is I love the food so much I always order too much and feel full to bursting. The food is full of flavour with lovely thick sauces. My favourites are the Hariyali Kofta paneer and the Chicken Malai Curry. Both delicious! If you love indian food, you won't be disappointed
I have patroned Vrindavan multiple times. It produces delicious North Indian food. The only issue is with delivery orders, which consistently take 90-120 minutes (for small orders for delivery within the same suburb).
