Review Yang San Park - Sydney

Erick T
Not a bad Korean BBQ. Don't expect any fried chicken here as they don't have any. This is just classic BBQ with some mains. Compared to other Korean BBQ, the waiters cook the food for you. Though it's fine, just feels weird as I am used to cooking my own. The meat are all marinated so they have good flavour already. Sadly the lettuce costs extra which is disappointing as some restaurants would at least give one per person. Steamed egg is great and one of the better ones I've had. The tofu soup isn't too shabby either. Venue is mainly outdoor and there's no exhaust so it can get smoky at times. Would probably come back again if I want classic Korean BBQ.

We loved this place so much the first time we had to go back a few days later! Excellent food and service with all the enjoyment afforded by a Korean BBQ experience. Definitely amongst our favorite dining experiences whilst in Sydney. This restaurant also seemed well known and popular so make sure you arrive at a good time to guarantee a seat.

Really great service and this place cooks the food for you. We got one of the sets but the quality of the meat wasn’t that great. We ate super quick since all the food was cooked and waiting to us to eat. I didn’t really like that since I do enjoy the slow pace of Korean BBQs and I think the speed of service did make me enjoy this meal less. Regardless it was a really great atmosphere and we were very full at the end of the meal. Note that they do give out discounts if you pay cash. We went on a rainy day and it got very slippery walking around the restaurant, you could slide across the floor.

Yang San Park is the best Korean BBQ in Sydney, the staff are friendly and efficient. Great foods, service. High quality fresh foods, and unlimited side dishes. I’ll visit it next time.

My first experience of a Korean BBQ restaurant. They were just putting the closed sign out as it was late, but the waitress was amazing she said for 2 of us they could still do a dinner if we were quick (we didn't mind at all as we were both very hungry and agreed in an instant). The waitress again was great, explaining the food and doing the BBQ meat. The food was incredible, would recommend for couples, family or groups, and I will definitely be back. Good value to, we had loads of food.

A very popular korean bbq restaurant. Food is great, the staff are also very friendly and helpful although some might be very slow and forgetful as well... The bbq meat are quite expensive for a small portion but the meal such as bibimbap and soup are great in price.
Senna Handaya
The restaurant is usually quite busy but the meat quality is worth trying! The waiter also helps you cook the food and they are nice and funny as well. Will be back with friends.

Good place to bbq, kind of pricey but its worth it, they cook for us, and always busy everytime i went there, u need to queuing to eat there, alot of choice to eat, they got some soup aswell, as my fav always the steam eggs
Yana
Great customer service, the staff were very helpful and friendly! Food was good quality however the pork belly was a little dry. Pork rib marinade was delicious, would go again just for this. Side dishes were plenty and staff were quick to refill.

Service is great but not good if you want privacy, portions are abit small but overall really good!
Tend to always come back for a good KBBQ and the staff are so friendly.

First up service was fantastic and based on that I would go back again. Our guy who serve us west a purple cap and worth a special mention. He cook our meal the whole night and very attentive to our need despite busy serving a few tables. We have the bbq beef rib, tongue, pork belly, fillet and seafood pancake. All is good.

Great location, Great value for money, Great combination set. It may not be the best bbq in Sydney, but it is always a safer choice to have Korean bbq with friends for a quick dinner. Ideal for people of 2 or 4 to have a taste of authentic Korean bbq feast. Table turnover rate is a bit higher than normal, a fast pace vibe.
Kevin Pham
Ask for Keunchae (purple hat) she was an amazing server! Would definitely ask for her again.

Xihuahua 🐶 decided to add more smoke to the already smoky day. The place is usually busy but Monday even is alright. The meat has very good quality. The flavor is right and texture tender. Seafood pancake is the highlight. The bean paste is also dope! There is a mot of seafood in there! Service is 6/5🌟. Super helpful and proactive. We did not have to ask anything! The waitress bbqed our meats even! A must try in Sydney!

Yang san Park was beyond our expectations! The food was amazing (33pp for a set of meat with the amazing egg in a pot) and there was free flow side dishes as well! The staff were so quick and attentive even tho it’s so busy we were rly impressed. Slightly crowded on a Sunday night but would defo recommend to anyone craving kbbq! It’s located outdoors as well so it was not too smoky.

One of my favourite Korean BBQs in the CBD. Excellent service, they changed the grill frequently and helped us bbq the meat. High quality meat and reasonably priced. Endless side dishes too (they kept refilling for us - even gave us two scoops of potato instead of one because we kept eating it 😂). The only downside is that you can't make a booking so you have to wait a bit for large groups but it's worth it. Highly recommend the marinated beef ribs and the steamed egg pot.
Jason Choi
How people rate this place more then 2stars I will never know. The meat quality is so bad. Price is cheap because their portions are very small and no wagyu beef. Mostly for tourist who have no idea because location is good and the smell is good because they have outdoor seating. People there are many other great Kbbq in Sydney City. Not only the meat quality is poor, the sides dishes are terrible and staff are aggressive and rush you out. KOGI kbbq in Market City and 678 on Goulburn St (not the dixon st one) are they best Kbbq's in Sydney. Eat here then try them and see the difference in food quality and service.
Meowktail
One of the best KBBQ restaurants in the CBD, arguably the most popular in Chinatown - with a waitlist by 6pm. Service is super friendly, attentive, and they cook & cut the meat for you efficiently, with very frequent grill changes. Meat was tender, especially liked the rib roll - very flavourful on its own. Seafood pancake was very good, super crispy. Cold noodle was okay. Steamed egg was souffle-ish and great. Bibimbap was done well.
Great place to hang with friends over dinner, lively atmosphere.

Staff were great and attentive. Food was excellent also. Always come back to great food and customer service 👍🏼

I come to Yang San Park fairly often and I love it! The set is really good value with the amount of meat you get and that eggpot!! Staff are super friendly, attentive and always smiling, can get busy and if you're with a big group you will have to wait a while but that's expected.
Pengjun Wang
Since the smell is so enchanting when I passed by, I walked into this restaurant. Totally speaking, the food is not bad and I remember a special dish made of eggs. However, given the price, the content of set is too less. I didn't get such full with a not small amount on bill. All in all, the more full of your wallet, the more full of your stomach, and also your satisfaction.

Staff was extremely friendly and the food tasted amazing, price was affordable, highly recommend if you’re looking for a Korean BBQ. Easy to find as it locates right at China Town. Will definitely comeback when I come to Sydney next time.
Josie
such a staple restaurant for korean bbq as they also have attentive staff! If its your first time trying kbbq or youre new to it dont hold back as the staff are super helpful :))
Melissa Nathania
i ordered marinated pork rib, marinated pork loin, and steam egg pot. The taste is so good. Prices are reasonable, service was good. Will be back for another visit.

We can see why this place has so many stars. We had to wait a while in the queue but it’s worth it. Amazing food and we had a great cook helping us to bbq the meats. She was so helpful and friendly. We have been here before and we just want to keep coming to this place again. Next when my Berlin visitors arrive. .....
Well my Berlin visitor are here and we took him and he just simply love the place.

Yang San park has been in Chinatown for a couple of years. It's always a popular Korean BBQ restaurant. Queues are always long if you come after 6PM. So to avoid the queue I would recommend to arrive early.

[Ambience]🏠
As the shop itself has been there for a long time, the ambience is not as satisfying as other new restaurants. Smoke is the biggest issue. And if it is a windy day, the smoke would be everywhere. Very annoying and unhealthy.

The ground is kind of slippery as well. Perhaps because of the oil and careless cleaning.

[Service]💁
The service I thought was their highlight, however, I didn't experience what I've expected during my visit. All of the staff are like in a hurry. Although they'll cook the meat for you, they left for other things once they've placed the meat on the plate. As a result, it got burnt easily. It's even better if I could cook by myself.

By the way, they'll try to ask you to leave when you're almost finished. We want to stay and have a chat for some while, however we were kept being asked whether we had finished. In this way they could drive guests away and let new customers in.

[BBQ]
The meat is fresh, that's probably the most important reason why a lot of people are giving high ratings to this shop. We tried both marinated and original beef and pork BBQ.

[Soup]
Another disappointing aspect. We ordered cold noodle soup and beef rib soup. It seems that two soup has exactly the same taste. They're like using the same ingredients for all of the soups.

If you're looking for a noisy, casual place, probably this is the place you can go.
DineLin
Great service! Great food! Ordered their marinated pork and the steamed egg pot. The restaurant staff also help you cook the meat which is really great. One of the best kbbq restaurants in the city. Decent pricing too! Definitely worth going!

Love this place!!! The waitress were kind, full of smile and they cook the meat for us.. in front of us 😊 the meat was so GOOD!! End their egg.. steam egg.. was great!!!
Sweet And Sour Fork
I had a good feeling about Yang San Park ever since the first time I walked past and smelt the rich, meaty smoke wafting all the way down the street, and saw the groups congregated outside waiting for a table. And it lived up to all my expectations with its fresh meats, good value, and amazing steamed egg pot. And surprisingly, the staff were also the most energetic and friendly bunch I’ve ever come across, running around like they’re all on amphetamines, making sure that no one ever wanted for a thing. Although it lacks wow-factor (steamed egg aside), it is an extremely solid performer, and I foresee this being one of my go-tos for Korean BBQ from now on.

my brother and I decided to have dinner here on a tuesday night, we ordered the set that was $27 pp. It was really good and came with heaps of sides however the portions are kinda small, it wasn't too much or too little meat. However, the egg pot is absolutely amazing, it's a must have if you ever come here. The service and people were so nice and fast and they also cook your food for you, a friendly man offered us a recommended sauce for the meat and it was absolutely amazing. There is also free refill on kimchi and lettuce (i'm not sure what else). Overall it was so good, one of the best korean bbq's i've ever had

One of the best korean BBQs in Sydney indeed 😋😋 the waiters cook the beef for you and very attentive. They also have good quality of meats. MUST ORDER: beef galbi & ox tongue.

You got tons of side dishes (including the best boiled egg hotpot) 😍
Blair
Always need to wait at least 20 min to get a table as they’re very busy. But the guy at the front door was nice and funny. They help you to cook all the food and provide unlimited side dish if you ask. One waitstaff has to look after many tables so might be slow service but it can be accepted. The only thing I don’t like is after finishing this amazing BBQ, the smell will stick on your clothes. Lol
Xinwei Luo
Bad staff and not so good foof. Didnt really enjoy, maybe didnt order well. Not so cheap either. Wont recommend and wont go agian. 678 is alot better in my opinion.
Sylvia
good memery in Sydney. love it very much because eat with my family. meet and eggs and casa beer are all good choice and very delicious. will go there again if travel to Sydney next time.

Passed by this place and smelled the grill thing was quite strong then we had dinner here. We chose the beef one for grills, soft tofu and bulgogi for the soups . Meats were yummy, and the soups as well. Service was fast and friendly.
Tanya
The food here is pretty good. By far the best korean place I’ve been to in the city. Marinades are really tasty and make the meats taste super juicy and flavourful. One downfall is portion size is pretty small for the price you pay. You could probably get a little bit more meat at other places but this place doesn’t fall on taste. The seafood pancake was also pretty yummy. Super crispy on the outside and had a good mix of seafood and egg. Highly recommended!

Staff are also super attentive and help you cook. They were very quick to take away plates and assist in cooking the meat. They also remove the grills quite frequently and give you new ones to prevent the burnt grills to affect the cooking.

Overall, a pretty good experience. I highly recommend going to this korean place over others.
Stefanie Senna
Outstanding service and food! Staffs are very nice, constantly changing the grill mesh, and even asked if I needed more sides. Worth the hype and price are beyond reasonable. 😊
Eunifoodie
Hands down my favourite kbbq place! They prices are awesome and the meat quality is pretty good! I would definitely recommend the egg stew and their side dishes are amazing!
Clicktongue
Great BBQ, friendly staff. They helpful and fast.

Nice price suitable with the service

One of my fav is ox tongue and bulgogi beef.
I love how they always changing the bbq plate after we cook awhile so its keep the meat tasty.
ThatBaldDoc
While in Chinatown, we walked a while looking for someplace that serves Korean food and we saw that there's a queue here so we tried it. I would have added another star if it weren't for a long waiting time. But the food was satisfying enough!
LP
The cheapest korean bbq with free side dishes and yet fulfilling for me. The staff is full of male they will come to you to cook the meat and change the grill plate and the side dishes is good as well. It always get busy after 1pm. If you pay by cash only you get a discount, make sure you bring cash.
Miss Song
I love the steam egg!! Look at the overwhelming bowl, feeling so satisfied hahaha. I never had service as good as here, waiters kept asking us if refilled side dish needed, and helped us to do the barbecue. I would rate the service 5/5, meat 4/5, reasonable price. Will definitely go back.
Neila
This is my favourite Korean barbeque we've had excellent service 6/7 times visiting here.
I usually order the set menu + ox tongue with one cold noodle to share between 2-3 people, the bill comes to around 32 dollars cheaper if you pay by cash. Excellent service excellent location. Unlimited sides if you get good service. I try to ask for the spicy cold noodles with ice but they sometimes don't give it with ice :( So good to just sit and chat and joke with your mates when their excellent professional staff come serve and cook for you. Their steamed egg and cold noodles is so good it is the best in CBD. Other places charge way more and it's not as good! It's very clean. I've never seen a single dead or alive cockroaches or insects or mice ever, which is common in Sydney. Sometimes the food is so good everyone stops talking and just eats...
Stella
Funniest and sweetest staff. The food is so good and free side dish refills. The amount of meat you get is so good and worth the price. I would highly recommend this place to everyone, I know
Jennyngu990
Came in as four people, ordered four sets and was expecting a lot for 26 bucks per person. When the dish came out, it was barely enough to feed everyone and gave VERY LITTLE FOR FOUR SETS it seemed like it was honestly just for one set. Never coming back go save ur money and try somewhere else worth it
Kravengerfoodie
Food: meat quality is ok for the price you’re paying and the side dishes is generous with endless refills and taste is great.

Service: is friendly when less crowded and it gets hectic when it’s peak hour. Service is fast

Price: very reasonable compare to other korean restaurant around the area.
Siran Zhan
Had lunch here on a Saturday. The service was prompt but everything has to be requested. We didn't even get water the whole meal. The food was a complete letdown. We ordered the bbq sets for 2 and were very surprised by how tiny the portion was - it would be barely enough for 2 girls. Can anyone help us understand how 2 sets of meat could contain 1 single piece of beef rib to be shared between 2? The sides are pretty bad too except for the kimchi, which is of typical Korean restaurant standard. The only thing worth a try is the fluffy egg pot.

Would definitely not return or recommend.
Evelyn Tanasha
Had lunch here and ordered Samgyeopsal, Ox Tongue, Marinated Beef Ribs, Steamed Egg Soup, Bibimbap, and the Seafood Pancake. The food was outstanding! It’s actually my first time here and I loved everything about his restaurant! The staffs were friendly as well, helping us with grilling the meat. I kindly asked for salt and sesame oil for my sauce and didn’t notice that they were sitting on the table. The staff kindly poured them for me! One of the waiter kindly has a chat with us as well! Overall, really satisfied with this restaurant!

On a Monday night, we didn't have to line up for very long before being seated. We ordered an assortion of meat, the steam egg pot and a Sundubu. The meat was really tender and the egg was really soft. They came with a wide variety of side dishes that were automatically refilled without asking. The service was very attentive and they cook all the meat for you.
Vietha.tranpham
Good food, good service. Very friendly and accommkdating staff. Wish decor was a bjt better though but being asian food is still the main reason i will be back
Jessica Tran
Tried ringing several times to book a table to no avail. It seems the place does not take bookings anymore. It has a booking system where you write you name down and wait for them to call you.
Being our first time visiting, we didn’t know about this so we stood in front of the “please wait to be seated sign”. Two other groups who he obviously been before pushed in and wrote their names down.
Other than that unpleasant experience, the food good and the staff were efficient and polite.
Really recommend the steamed egg.
Hungry Vibes Only
Love the food, love the people!

The set menu is well worth the price you pay per person but we opted for the a la carte to get the cuts of meat that we really want. We went with ox tongue, pork belly, thin skirt and egg pot (gyeran-jjim). Amazing flavours and side dishes refilled automatically.

The staff are attentive and kind. They cook the food for you and change your grill between every meat. One time we were dining here, they were training a new employee and the care + attention to detail is amazing. Keen to come back again and again!
Rebecca Kung
Prepare to be taken care of. And taken care of extremely well. They are speedy with orders and are consistent with keeping an eye on your table. They help you with the bbq from the moment the meat hits the table all the way to when they remove the charcoal though, they do act a little too fast. I never expected such extraordinary service. Asked for napkins and they came in 10 seconds flat! I'm serious, even though the waiters are busy on their feet, they do it well and make sure to talk to you and get you what you want.
The set (minimum order of 2 sets, $26pp) was more than enough for 2 people. They aren't stingy on meat. A significant portion size of steamed egg as well. It should come with rice though. They change the grill frequently; I've gotten used to asking for a grill change at other restaurants but they just come and do it when they need to.
Seafood pancake slightly greasy but still nice. The steamed egg was really salty but addicting. The bibimbap was good, and the waiter kindly mixed it for us. Again, the waiters were kind to do the bbqing for us and I think we had about 4 different waiters circulating our table.

Me and my friends were on the waiting list as we came on the dinner time (it was so many ppl). However, we did not wait for too long as they called our number like around 5-10mins of waiting.

We ordered marinated beef, marinated pork ribs, pork belly with skin and steamed egg. All tasted really niceee. I like the marinated beef the most👌 free refill of side dishes as usual kbbq or any korean restaurant. The service was excellent. The servers were so attentive, they came every time to check our meats, grilled and cut it for us.
Tash
Me and my boyfriend came at about 1pm on a Monday and ordered a set that was $26 per person. When it came out, there was only 1 of each type of meat, not 2 which was expected as we ordered 2 sets. My boyfriend asked them if it was 2 sets and they assured us it was. When they cooked it for us, it didnt look like much, maybe about 4-5 pieces for each of us, though it was still somewhat filling. The steam egg pot was absolutely amazing. It was fluffy and juicy.

Overall, our experience was ok, the food was average and value for money would be about 3/5.
Alvernia Ou
MUST TRY - EGGPOT! Delicious and juicy barbeque meats and the friendly staff will help you with cooking! The serving is quite generous. Thumbs up!
Patricia
A little hard to find since its not striking to the eye but an amazing place for some good quality, nicely marinated kbbq! Sets are true to their claimed serving per person, rice isn't needed to fill anything the sets can't since they're pretty generous with servings! Friendly staff that will do majority if not all cooking for you so sit back and relax here!
Mauyeeyee
Me and my friend each ordered the combination set (as required to order 2 sets when you go for the set) which included pork, pork ribs, beef, beef ribs & chicken. It also came with an egg pot, which was the best dish of the whole meal. The meat was ok, some turned out quite tough & dry. 😬

This is the only Korean BBQ place I’ve come across where the staff come to your table to cook the meat for you. They flip the meat & cut it up into small pieces for you to eat, but personally I prefer to cook them myself so I can take my time to cook the meat slowly. We had to eat quite fast as the meat was always ready on the grill as they came frequently to cook the meat in batches. 😓

Positive feedback is they change the grill very frequently to avoid burning the food or smoking the place up. I didn’t see any exhaust pipes around but still I didn’t leave smelling like an old greasy bbq pit. 😙 It must be I was sitting outside with all the open air. The service was fantastic. The staff was attentive & efficient. They would ask if you need any refill for the small dishes. However the small dishes not much choice, most was lettuce & cabbage. No fancy dishes like we find in other Korean restaurants. 🤔

Yang San Park is an extremely popular Korean BBQ in Chinatown which offers probably the best Korean BBQ in town. The Sussex Street venue is perpetually crowded and costs a good $40 cheaper than the nearby Madang, Seoul-ria, 678 or the overrated Kobe Wagyu Yakiniku. Waiting times can approach one hour during evenings.

Here, you get some well marinated chicken thigh, juicy pork ribs and tasty (but a bit tough) pork belly. The all-male crew 😞😞😞 would help with the BBQ though I preferred to do them myself. Every BBQ is served with generous servings of side dishes. The crew gave me a huge plate of Kimchi after knowing that I loved it.

P.S. I deducted one mark because there was no female service crew when I was there. 😂😂😂
Veronica Indrawan
Never have i ever feel dissapointed from going several times to this place. This place is probably my most visited restaurant in Sydney because it’s so good. I love the ox tounge and the egg pot (the best). Besides, the service is always quick and professional. Finally, the most important, it’s affordable compared to other korean restaurant. I love you Yang San Park ! ❤️
Korix Wongtsztsun
Definitely da best kbbq place in town. Just sit and let the friendly staff work for you to fill you up! MUST TRY THEIR EGG POTS & BEEF RIBS.
IEats
This is a very popular and busy KBBQ restaurant in Chinatown. For dinner, you must do the BBQ which is okay because the marinated pork rib is a must order. My other favourites are the egg pot (soft and fluffy), the seafood pancake (super crunchy but not overly oily) and the cold noodles. The staff will help you to cook the meat perfectly so just sit back, relax and fill your tummy with lots of delicious food.

Beef : 😁 Great
Chicken : 😍 Amazing
Pork : 😍 Amazing
Egg Pot : 😍 Amazing
Service : 😁 Excellent

So I've heard raving reviews about this place and it was quite an experience. The waiter kindly cooked our meat for us and was on the ball throughout the night. The meat we marinated very well and the smell off the cooked meat had me salivating. First time KBBQ and it did not disappoint nor did the price. A definite must try.

I just want to say the service was really good, I really appreciate the service they provided . They were attentive and cooked the food.
Needless to say, the portion is much smaller than what we expected . But it was decent quality. The marination was okay. I would say if you have a big appetite, you'll be spending alot more here .
Felipe Hormazábal
Nice place! Good price and tasty food. Confortable space to eat. Amazing egg pot!!! And the best of all, very friendly staff. I liked this place I'm gonna back, for sure!
Passionately Eating
AMAZING
The staffs are so nice, they helped us with the bbq, the food was great, nice atmosphere. They also gave us cold noodles for free, I was completely shocked but thank you so much!!!
I hope you guys get some better ventilation
We dined there on the 24/07
Winaa Ling
One of my favourite kbbq places ☺️ Food is affordable and taste nice along with good customer service. They help you cook the food etc however sometimes we want to cook it ourselves and they've already put all the meat on the grill... Other than that, I really enjoy eating there! Would recommend 💯
Marina Odoom
Just had their beef bulgogi hot pot, pork belly with skin, egg pot, some tofu dish etc,I must say I do not regret going there.it was an amazing experience!!
Janjira Naklaor
Chicken was very salty test and last time I came here it was good but today I had ordered 2 set $32 per set
Price is so expensive because,I got a few meat in dishes. No we're give to customers. No thank you when customer goes. Summary is terrible food .
Elaine Teoh
One of my favourite Korean BBQ with attentive staff and good services. They cook and cut the meat for you! The meat were fresh and the ambience is good for BBQ we felt.

DISGUSTING SERVICE! DO NOT EAT HERE.

Came here last night to celebrate a friend's birthday and have never received such terrible service at a restaurant. The waitress was extremely rude and got our order wrong and overcharged us. When we complained that we did not order the extras the staff were rude and unreasonable expecting US to pay for THEIR mistake. The manager came around and was not any better. Extremely rude and did not work with us to come to any resolution. We were left hungry and disappointed and it ruined our evening.

Have never left dinner with such a horrible distaste in my mouth.
Bram Jay
0/bimbimbap. The service is shit. They put us down for 8 combination sets when we ordered 4. After serving us the food, we noticed that we recieved 8 egg soup bowl. This is when we found out that they put us for 8 combinations instead of 4. And they insisted on charging us extra for the food we've eaten (ox tongue, pork belly) along with the egg pots that we haven't touched. Very unprofessional in dealing with the issue, the staff kept passing the blame around and pushed for us to pay extra for their mistake. We also didn't recieve any food or service after we sorted out with the problem for a long while. Look out of the heinous korean woman she was the cause of all of this.
Samuel Widjaja
I always have high expectations with Korean bbq, The service is really bad. On the 20th of May, I had dinner with my mates there. We ordered 4 sets of meats yet they gave us 8 sets and charged us double the amount. The atmosphere feels like you are on a bad traffic on a busy day. The food was okay but they only gave us a very small portion. The day before the dinner I went to see if I could get reservation because I can't call them and onced I've talked to the manager he told us that "we don't take reservations".

I would not recommend this place
Does My Bomb Look Big In This
Roti-wrangling has given way to coal stoking at the gated compound on the corner of Goulburn Street, at the entrance to the busy Dixon Street pedestrian mall. Yang San Park is a Korean barbeque joint with a difference: very good service! The young, effective all-male floor team quickly seats us. The short menu has a good cross-section of all your Korean barbeque favourites, but if you’re dining as a couple, you should definitely consider getting the Combination Set ($32/person). As we settle in with a bottle of Kooksoondang Korean Rice Wine ($13) a generous array of banchan (side dishes) are peppered onto our table. There’s the expected kimchi, a ball of sweet yellow mash, tart pickled onions, and a lovely square of pickled chilli cabbage. A glowing red pot of coals are delivered from the restaurant’s central furnace and a variety of meat plates arrive – pork belly, ox tongue, thin skirt, marinated pork rib, chicken and beef rib. Before we’ve even thought about...
Mary Tran
You can't come here without having their steamed egg - it's massive and comes with the $30 meat set (pork belly, ox tongue, chicken and beef rib). Otherwise, buying it on its on is pretty cheap too at $6. In general, the meat portions are small if you're a big meat eater. The ox bone soup was good and tastes like one in every other restaurant. Staff here are very attentive and help you cook - we asked for so many refills for our sides and they were always happy to assist.
Tran Julie
One of my top favourite kbbq restaurants in Sydney!

The service here is quick and the staff are always nice and attentive when handling/cooking the food and clearing the table. The set meals are worth it and there are a variety of dishes and meats to order. Note: the eggpot dish here is amazing!

Pleasant place to have group dinners and since this place is so popular, expect a line and tedious waiting time because they don't do bookings.

I will never stop going to this place for korean bbq with my friends and family ~ヾ(^∇^)
Nem
One of my favourite KBBQs ever! Love their service - the only place that I've been to that cooks and cuts the meat for you! For that I give a lot of brownie points. They were efficient enough to continue this service during peak hours too when the restaurant was filled inside and outside. We always get the combination set. 3 combination sets for 4 people are enough for us (yessss egg pots!) They have the perfect unlimited side dishes and they give you heaps of cabbage with sauce to eat along with your meal (also refillable). The meat is decent of average portions. My go to Korean BBQ place in the CBD :) They don't take bookings though, so be sure to come early to get a seat or put your name down on the list.
Genevieve
Yang San Park is quite possibly my favourite Korean BBQ in Sydney! They have an extensive menu with all the favourites, so you really can't go wrong. I particularly recommend the dolsot bibimbap and the cold noodle soup. For the BBQ, I recommend the ox tongue, beef thin skirt and also the pork belly.

The banchan are varied and plentiful and are a lovely accompaniment to any dish.

Quick and friendly service and whenever I've been the place is always packed with Koreans - surely a good sign, right? 😜

I recommend getting here super early, unless you feel like waiting in quite a lengthy queue.

Wonderful Korean BBQ
Staff were surprisingly super friendly and attentive to the BBQ heat and hot plate.
Got a little smokey as it was raining so the adjustable roof had to be closed. Apart from this, no complaints.

Pork Belly was good, but other marinated meat was terrible. Kimchi was definitely below the average. Feel vomit after had diner over there.
Staff was friendly though. That's why I rated 2.

They have short menu, which is fine by me, otherwise is too hard to choose from.

Foods are OK, at average.

BUT, the service is the best Korean BBQ I ever experienced, they keep helping you turn your meats on the hot plate, and also guiding you how to eat (although some staffs' English is a bit hard to understand), they are just keep helping you, keep doing the BBQ for you, you never have to worry about how do I BBQ this?
Is it done?

this service is "touching", i like this restaurant, perhaps they should consider to put more on the menu, as I know they didn't change the menu for a while.

The food is amazing; the price is really good, if you want to eat the same amount of BBQ in Sydney, you have to pay +$80 for two people, but you can get the same portion for $50 here. The staff are really friendly and man, they serving you food and BBQing themselves is a whole new level! I also loved that they changed the grill mesh before serving each new round of meat! The best Korean BBQ I had in Sydney so far

Best Korean BBQ in Sydney. Been to Korea the service of this restaurant is even better then the one I had in Korea. All the staff are so friendly attention to detail, they work as a team and they cook the meat for each table and they pay attention for your needs they also refills your side dish when it empty and without you ask for it. Cold noodle and $6egg porridge is delicious as well as the meat but $23 beef portions is a bit small. But overall will come back again for sure. Well done guys!

Friendly and quick service. Very tasty. Nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and come back. Only thing stopping me from giving a 5 is that the meat portions are on the small side. Other than that really good.

We've now been here twice and both times have been fantastic. There's a lot of tables outside which allows for a nice breeze when the bbq gets going. The menu is not extensive which is a good thing here, ensuring ease when ordering. Great value for money especially for the quality and quantity that you get. Normally we order the following:

- Marinated Beef Rib $22
- Marinated Pork Rib $17
- Marinated Chicken $15
- Thin Skirt $13
- Pork Belly $13
- Baby Octopus $13

The cooking is usually done by one of the restaurant's waiters but you can request to do the cooking yourself. The side dishes are pretty good and if you ask nicely, they usually bring you refills. It's a great place for groups to come and try everything on the menu.

Food is good, but l really hate how they cook it and cut it by themselves when l wanted to do it myself and was doing it already, they just simply ignore me and do it anyway

I really like how friendly their service is. Everyone smiles and greets you and seems like they actually want to be there. They even helped us cook the meat and cut it up. It was on the affordable end for Korean BBQ. Just an extra note, no eftpos for meals under $100.

Favourite korean restaurant in Australia so far. This is also the only place that offers ssam refills, mind you they're proper ssam and not iceberg lettuce. Friendly staff and an overall buzzing vibe. The manager in charge makes you feel very welcomed! There's a line on weekends so you better book early or get there early. Meat was delicious and fresh. The waiters rotate and cook the meat for you so you never have to cook it yourself.

Recommended: volcano egg, five layer pork belly and soya bean soup. 😍❤️

Lovely place with great ventilation and fantastic service. They do unlimited refills of the side dishes and salads and change the grill quite frequently.

nice place to have some Korea BBQ , the meat are a little salty compare to my taste but the side dish make it tastes a lot better, the soup are not that great , and also the egg pot. But overall i really enjoy the experiences in this restaurant.

Speediest service I've ever had at a Korean BBQ place. The staff are very attentive and automatically refill your side dish plates when they are running low. I love their egg pot!

Love their ox tongue and samgyupsal so much. Their dip sauces are amazing and one thing that I love is that they ALWAYS cook the bbq for us and change the bbq grill often. Very nice service and food. One of my favorite korean bbq place in the city.

The best BBQ in town... Staff are so friendly and helpful. Egg pot so nice. They put all sauce on the table can refill anytime. Highly recommended. Never been to any great BBQ like this in Sydney before. Definitely will go back for more pork belly and egg pork.

Excellent food, that's really fresh. Staff are incredibly attentive and help with the cooking of your food, changing the grills for the different meats, & always top up side dishes (the cold mash potato is amazing) and everything was very reasonably priced. We were five people (1 teenager, 4 adults) and our bill was $100 which include each of us having drinks!

Highly recommended.

Great service - they cook the meat for you and constantly change the grills.
The meat was alright, but I'm sure I've had better value meat (and more choices) at other places in the CBD. Bibimbap was good but quite a small portion.

Great service by the staff. Cheap price & delicious food. Will come here again for birthdays and other occasions. Recommended to eat the Egg Pot and Seafood Pancake.
