Everytime we in Sydney, this is a must visit place , because of the ferry ride and awesome beer.we have done lot of business sitting band drinking in this place..this will be a memory of lifetime..
There chorizo pizza is worth the visit. A very trendy place and big open bars with lots of areas to pull up a stump. Perfect location for a night out looking out on the harbour and boats.
Great venue on the Manly wharf water front. Lively atmosphere though quite noisy and very busy on a Saturday night as to be expected. Poke bowl was delicious and the menu was generous in its variety. A lovely night out!
Good food, good view, but noisy when busy. Spent the afternoon here and had the biggest steak sandwich (torpedo size) I've seen in a while, which was meant to be a snack lunch, and had me not needing dinner...
Would give 3.5. The view is lovely, you can sit outside and watch the water/sunset etc. Drinks are well priced and food is decent. We ordered prawn and chilli pizza which was nice for bar food. The rose I ordered was only $8.50 but surprisingly so nice!
Last weekend to chill out with my friends a I went there ... Burger ,nachos, beer ...a perfect evening for football lover ...it's not too much pricy staff service good . ambiance excellent...
Nice food! Friendly staff and good service as well. Overall I enjoy everything. Maybe the price a bit overprice, but still okay. Keen to going back again one day.
We came here for lunch over the queens birthday long weekend. It was busy and the atmosphere had a good buzz. We had the angus burger and chicken burger with add-on bacon. Both burgers were yum. Quite messy to eat as they were big burgers and quite saucy.
Has dinner here on a weeknight. Hot chips were amazing! I had the chicken Cesar salad. The dressing was amazing! Friend ordered the salmon he said it was divine. Their garlic aioli is the best aioli I have had in my life! Another friend had the burger and said it was delicious. Would definitely go back!
Have eaten here on many occasions . Great place to go for tasty Lunch or dinner. The ambience is very chilled and it is a great place to come to eat or have a beer or cocktail overlooking Manly Cove.
Nice bar and food at manly wharf hotel. But I have experienced the rudest manager in Sydney last night. Double confirmed my order when I paid but gave the wrong dish. refused to change the dish at first and argue for the mistake! without any apologies. what a attitude!I still give 4 star for the atmosphere and view especially the friendly service for all other staffs at manly wharf hotel!
Overall, the atmosphere was good and the environment was quite spacious. The food was also pretty tasty, especially the sweet potato fries and the margarita pizza. However, although it was a little crowded indoors, we were able to find seating fine.
On another note, when we sat down on the first available table, we noticed the table wasn't wiped down properly after the previous customers had sat there. Nothing a wet wipe couldn't fix though. Nevertheless, the experience here was pretty good.
Tried pizza, seafood and chips and others. Food are delicious with varieties.
View is very nice and relaxing on the sunny day.
Took visitor there when we visit manly, lovely restaurant.
Been many times and surely will return for more.
Good price for taste and portion.
This pub certainly makes the most of its position - bright and airy interiors open out to the wharf and water, making it a great place to relax on an afternoon. I had a fish burger that was pleasant enough but couldn’t justify the $20 price, but I’m happy to pay for such a prime position and nice fitout.
Solid pub grub. Slightly pricy fish of the day (QLD Barra and chips $30) but the rest was value for money, very tasty and good for the kids.
I have been here several times and it has been consistent. The food choices are your standard pub food, steak, fish, pizza etc. The portions are huge for the price you're paying. It's also a big place so you're bound to find a table regardless of the size of your group.
Had the fish sandwich and nachos here. The fish sandwich is execellent and the nachos were a bit on the greasy side, nice to share between 2-3 ppl. They are very generous with their toppings. The garlic prawn pizza smells and looks amazing and will definitely order this next time I come.
*EDIT - from 4 stars to 3.5 stars. Do not order the haloumi salad! The haloumi is dry and salty (TOO SALTY even for Haloumis). They definitely overcooked that.
The food is average. Great spot for a beer and to hang out with mates but the food is just pub grub and not overly inspiring. Go here to drink, better places to eat.
Beach view ninja!
Nice to have an outdoor bar and restaurant by the waters, serving up bistro style food and bar!
Nicely located by the Manly Wharf serving up pizza, steak, salads and of course seafood so it will accommodate any picky eater.
Burger was not bad, pizza was good and surprisingly we got a soft shell crab soba salad whicj was pretty good! Shame we didnt get anything from the rotisserie but i really love their loaded wedges and nachos!
Until next time ... Keep eating.
We picked this restaurant over the others along the wharf as it had the most interesting Seafood options. The option to sit outside directly on the water was also a good bonus (inside was very noisy).
The fact that you have to order your food at the bar and go and collect it later lowered my ranking for the place as given the prices of the food, I think that's a little petty.
But the food was very good - the soft shell crab was cooked very well and the noodle flavouring was a very nice touch. The Moreton Bay Bugs were very very good and a bigger portion than expected.
Strawberry mocktail was delicious! 100% try one!
Would highly recommend!
Burgers were nice.
Salad was average.
Staff were very friendly.
View was amazing!!!
Situated at the wharf as the name suggests, the place is airy, bright and right on the water. Such a great spot for after work drinks or weekend catch-ups. The place had great vibes and cocktails to go with it.
There's also a good selection of food on their menu, we chose the the prawns and Bannockburn free range chicken which comes served with sides of buns, salads and chips. Both the prawns and chicken were cooked well and juicy.
Stopped by after catching the ferry and its the ultimate local pub right by the water taking in the fresh air and view by the coastline at the wharf! Its a bit new to me having to go to different areas in the venue for food or drink depending on what you want but i enjoyed wandering around sussing out how the city folk eat and live. Service here is class!
Returning to the city after dinner with my Godson visiting from regional Australia, we came here after treating him to his first city Max Brenner waffle. It was perfect since the ferry wasn't due in for another 30minutes. Staff were friendly and the vista from the wharf bar is awesome. It would be a great spot to waste a sunny afternoon with friends chatting over a few bevvies.
A tad expensive but top food. Obviously an eatery with one of the best views in Sydney. Has a laid back environment which is great for gatherings and some brilliant specials. I do recommend this place!
Soak in the sun like a true Manly local by hanging on the jetty with a few cold beers and beautiful prawn pizza. Laugh your head off at SUP Ball on a Sunday from the jetty balcony!
After taking a lovely trip over to Manly on the ferry, we stopped by the Manly Wharf Hotel for a quick bite to eat, accompanied by an amazing view. We picked out the Crispy Seafood Plate, and the Pizza Special, which included a pizza and drink for $16. The Seafood Plate was such amazing value and had great variety, and a good mix of fresh and battered items. My favourite component was the calamari, but the prawns were lovely and fresh as well. For the pizza, we picked out a BBQ chicken variety, and while we were initially skeptical, it was really delicious, with a great sauce drizzled on top, and plenty of toppings, with a crispy base.
Nice menu and the food is delicious. The dishes are fresh and seasonal and comes out very quickly. The atmosphere is cool and is in a beautiful location on the wharf. I highly recommend the Herb seared tuna nicoise with warm salad of blistered cherry tomatoes, beans, olives crispy potato, soft boiled egg with zesty lemon dressing and the Tiger prawn and Riverina black Angus rump fillets steak with crispy fried garlic, chilli, rosemary potatoes and herb aioli and lime.
One of my fav places to dine in Manly!
Cool vibe and fresh, tasty dishes.
The chicken and mango salad is my absolute fav !
Gets a little busy on weekends but if you don't mind the crowds it is well worth a visit.
I love this spot, not many places in Sydney where you can eat, drink & be merry literally over the water. The new menu is great & it's a staple for catching up with friends. On a blue sky day for a gastro pub - it's really hard to beat.
Great venue for a drink and some yummy food. The vibe is incredible, you can easily let an entire Sunday slip by as you take in the beautiful views as you chat and drink amongst friends.
Only strange thing was when I was sitting outside on the deck with a group of people, and security asked if we smoked before saying people were inside wanting to smoke and the deck area was at capacity... Implying either smoke or move... Maybe some manly-siders should kick that bad habit if they want the good views!

I was aprihensive in going to Manly today, but it was a great excusion outside my eastern suburbs bubble. The crowd was a little beefy for my liking, I prefer poultry, none the less I found a perch away from cattle and enjoyed a refreshing lager with some fresh rock Oyster's Kilpatrick. Very morish! Knocked me off my perch, not sure if I should stay or go now, feel amazing! . . . I don't go out often
This Sunday dig puts the ig into gig. Beers flowing, bros bro'ing, girls pearling, ring ring ring. Beaut food, delicious company. Top tip S&P calamaza - the AIOLIIIIII is to die for!
I had the pygmy squid salad with sautéed daffodil. I must say, the mood of the atmosphere was a refreshing change from the horrible establishment across the road.
As the name suggests, Manly Wharf Hotel is conveniently located by the wharf in Manly, accessible by public ferries (or your private yacht if you can imagine hard enough.) The menu refresh is a collaboration between Manly Wharf Hotel’s Head Chef Alex Towning and Food Rascals founder and Executive Chef David O’Brien (ex-Merivale).
Pretty good food for what is a bar/pub establishment. Have had a few seafood mains here and all have exceeded my expectations. On my last visit it seems like the tuna nicoise and grilled salmon are most popular. Atmosphere is chilled and relaxing, with live music at night. Indoor spaces open out to the outdoors and water. All in all a good way to spend the dusk hours.
There with a group on a Sunday - get there early to grab a table!!
Light airy and nautical setting
Ordering meals is a bit of a chore since this can't all be done at the same counter
Salad type orders were ready within minutes despite the crowd
All meals of a good dtandard
Great location !! Got off the ferry straight to the Wharf Hotel ordered a pizza and a few beers (of course ).It just made my day !! Will be here again.
Perched on a table on the wharf with the sun out and looking out over the water was the perfect setting for lunch. The place had a good vibe with tunes and plenty of people making the most of the location. Food wise the place is pretty stock standard and nothing super special. It's decent, but not amazing. My Beetroot, sweet potato and chicken salad was tasty enough. The calamari with chips looked average.
Probably better to settle for some drinks out on the deck area and enjoy the vibe.
We came here after the Spit to Manly walk. It was mid afternoon and most tables were taken so we grabbed one by the door. My husband had pizza and I ordered mixed seafood. They both were delicious. Most people looked like locals in their shorts and flip flops. It's a great place to spend a lazy sunny afternoon.
Really nice place to come out to for a few drinks with some friends. The atmosphere was pretty bro-tastic, but not complaining at all--it's exactly what you would expect from a place like this and reminds me a lot of home back in the San Francisco Marina district.
We got the vegetarian nachos which were massive and filled us up.
Manly Wharf Hotel has a very cool vibe to it!
Afternoon bevies and a light meal is a must at this place. The food was reasonably priced, drinks were mixed perfectly and the view was perfection.
I'm pretty partial to Wharfie for a good old pub feed, but I've been coming here for years and used to bartend here years ago after uni. Food is always good, pretty consistent! Great pizzas, selection of drinks (Kirin cider + different flavours - such a treat!) and of course, the wonderful view. Top place.
What an amazing view! Even on the wildest and most miserable of days, it was so nice sitting inside, keeping warm and watching the rain on the water. We came here with family friends and all decided on burgers for lunch. I chose the vege burger which was a chickpea and zucchini burger with caramelised onion, Swiss cheese and jalapeño aioli. It was delicious and just the right size to be satisfied but not completely heavy, like most burgers. We all shared sweet potato fries and garlic greens too- which were equally delicious. At only $10 a burger... There were no complaints here!

We walk upto the Hotel and notice the size of this place, I mean I know bars are big but this is massive in comparison to some other places, it not like it turns into one of those teeny boppers bar/nightclub its just a bar with live music aswell.
I thought it would be a good idea to start at on the Manly Wharf Hotel Pier bar. When it's a beautiful day you don't want to be stuck in a dark venue with no view. We had the view, we
Popped in for a quick meal on a rainy Monday night. Ordered the scotch fillet steak. To be honest I would have expected more tender and larger portion for $30 but I guess you are also paying for the view. I would return again as they seem to have nice daily specials.
Simple and Effective. Simple bar food, good portion sizes and tasty. Great surroundings, mixed old/young crowd. Recommended for a beer and some food on a day out to Manly on the fast ferry.
Beautiful view and people. Seeking an early Sunday dinner, and with Hugo’s being too full we dined at The Wharf instead. It’s also a busy spot with a great view of the Manly ferries coming and going but with more of a pub feel – find your own table, order food at the bar and collect your food when your buzzer goes off. We got a couple of pizzas and they were good. We wanted to get fries as well but we had to order them from a different counter which made it all a bit hard so we flagged. Would I eat here again? I wouldn't choose to and if I did I’d make more of an effort by wearing really high heels and loads of make up so I was on par with the other patrons – even if it is a Sunday evening!
Plenty of glam, pricey pizza, reasonable steak prices. Great place to doll up and catch up with friends.
Has been consistently good since opening. Just what Manly always needed and changed the complexion of the wharf forever in a positive way. Tuesday pizza and beer night is a family favourite and the pizza is excellent. Great views and bustling atmosphere make this a local fixture.
Our Local. Provides great atmosphere, cheap snack food and beautiful bar tenders.
This is the place for a good Sunday session.
Not many places to go to in Manly so it rates pretty highly.. It's a great spot, food pretty good too. Security blokes outside over oficious though.
For a fun night out, little glamour, nice view & beautiful people.
One of the major manly hotspots, especially on weekends. Great place to wind down the weekend on Sunday afternoon with 4 different bars in the venue. Jetty Bar in the early evening, but it gets busy! Some restrictions on outdoor access later in the evening as the sound travels over the Manly Harbour, but a great place to start the evening!
Spent a lovely Saturday afternoon here sipping cocktails and watching the view. Nice menu with many delicious options for food and drink. Nice and helpful staff. Thanks guys!
Nice view to have a drink. I ordered a cocktail, which was pretty good. Price was great considering the quality and location. Service was so so because the person made me the drink didn’t even tell me the drink was ready and just sitting at the counter.
Wharf Bar Manly
Just reopened after renovations. New menu which is excellent. The staff are most welcoming and very attentive. The menu has share dishes including beautiful dips which are extremely tasty. The table service and the view out over the harbour make this a lovely place for lunch or dinner. Highest compliment must be attributed to management for the lovely staff and the overall operation of this hotel. David
The classic and the staple around Manly, it is a must visit for anyone out of town, and a great place for locals to gather. Lots of space, great views of the water and Manly, awesome drink and food options. Highly recommend the nachos to share between 2 or more people!
Awesome ambience outside overlooking the water. We had some drinks and hot chips. Wait staff friendly and attentive to my kids. Watch out for the seagulls. They give no .....
Had a lovely table with a view of the water. Had the cesear salad, calamari & the flatbread. The chilli sauce with the calamari had a big bite to it but the cesear was amazing & the flatbread was good too, different with pesto on it. Was all yummo.
