Great place to have lunch with nice view and relaxing surrounds. Online booking was easy to use and straightforward. Had the fettuccine which was excellent. The spaghetti and mixed seafood grill were also very good. Raspberry souffle with chocolate gelato was great. The service was very professional. Henry was impeccable in his knowledge and helpfulness.

Such an amazing Italian restaurant by the water. Ambience is lovely and the view is great. Food is delicious and well presented. Staffs are very friendly and professional. We’ve been here many times in the past few years and every memory was enjoyable. Will definitely come back again. Highly recommended.

Amazing setting. Sitting outside is always a treat on a warm day. Service is always amazing. A great place to go with 2 kids as their menus hits all the right notes. Would recommend the Porchetta, Crab Linguine and kids Schnitzel. Only criticism is that the bread was on the stale/dry side and they charged me a credit card surcharge when I paid via eftpos. Nonetheless, the service was worthy of a tip.

Lovely place by the water. Food was delicious and just the right amount of fancy!Great vibe, customer service friendly and attentive. Recommended and worth the return.

It's overpriced for the food that's served.. you're paying for the ambience and view. I don't recommend being seated near the kitchen and the waiters are close to elbowing you as they pick up dishes from the kitchen bench and their backs are towards you. My favourite dish was the crudo, the gnocchi texture was textbook perfect but the sauce lacked seasoning. The risotto and ragu were unfortunately bland. They had a big function on the same night and that could be the reason for the lacklustre food.

Fantastic service and great ambience to celebrate our anniversary! Plenty of parking outside the restaurant. It is better to place a reservation as the place may get busy during peak hours.

Excellent Restaurant with superb service and mouth watering food cooked to perfection. Rosa the Manager who was magnificent with her continuous visits around the floor making sure all her patrons were happy and being looked after. The waiters looking after our table were fantastic and always at hand if we needed anything they made sure we had it straight away. Well done to all the crew for a great experience. New renovated since I last visited about 8 months ago, and still possibly the best food and Service in NSW.
Woodfire pizza no longer an option- I did so love the herb and garlic pizza bases for starters...that aside, loved loved loved the herb bread, grilled barramundi and chocolate fondant desert.
I will continue to have this a one of my favourite places for that special meal- food and staff are always outstanding!

How did this place get such good reviews
View is great but that Is all
Service is terrible
Food was small portion and tasted worse than pub food
Entire party of people highly dissapointed
Went to maccas after
Felt better after a cheeseburger

Great food and even better service. Such a great venue for both lunch and dinner. I would highly recommend Oliveto for any occasion!

!!! Classy place for an event or just a feed !!!
We had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding at this recently renovated restaurant, which has always had a great reputation for many years.
We wanted a venue different from the usual function centres and Olivetos delivered. Oliveto's newly installed glass panelled walls and open plan design allowed for great views of the bay and reserve.
The food was not your usual 'production line' wedding food. All the guests raved about the quality and quantity of the food. The service was top notch with waiters always efficient with the service of food, drinks and cleaning up.
Co-owner, Alessandro, enthusiastically worked one the night serving all customers and making sure the restaurant runs like a well oiled machine. He has a reputation for working some nights to assist with the running of the restaurant. An impressive feat.
Function Co-ordinator, Donna, was not only patient, but went over and above to ensure the planning, leading up the wedding, was smooth and always provided numerous options and suggestions, including offering a classy tasting plate for dessert, instead of the usual alternating one-piece dessert.
Would highly recommend this venue for not only a feed, but also for events.

Visited this amazing restaurant today for the very first time for lunch. Food was exceptional, the Grilled Seafood Plate was sensational , service was impeccable . Loved the "Happy Birthday" wishes on the dessert - Thankyou for small special detail. Highly recommend this place ....Will definitely return !

Restaurant is Beautiful and overall great atmosphere. Waiting staff took our drink orders but must’ve forgot about them due to a full house of guests. Have been here few times before and the service is usually great.
Barbara Moujaes
We had fabulous food and service. I would recommend Oliveto for either a function or a lovely lunch or dinner. Thank you to the wonderful waiters
Bron Jean
I was looking forward to going here for my birthday dinner, however the service let down the entire evening. After waiting for over half an hour before our orders were taken our drinks arrived 45 minutes later. (I watched my cocktails sitting on the bar for 10 minutes!) Had to ask for water twice and were never asked for any other drinks throughout the entire night- big mistake as we were drinking mojitos!
Food was lovely when it finally arrived served by our fourth waiter for the evening. Coffees & teas arrived before dessert. Not once asked how our meal was. Toilet safari was interesting going past kitchen mess & into a grotty loo with missing toilet paper holder! Would not bother going back as this experience has turned me off.

Been here a few times and the food is always top quality. Service is good. Menu is slightly restricted but any choice you make is very well made and nicely presented.
Bar and wine list are very good.
Prices are what you would expect and you get value for money when all factors are considered.

This restaurant is stunning, the view and ambience is great, the chef and food is delicious, however the letdown is the woeful service. Was merely non existent and not even a half full restaurant, such a shame.
Dione Bird
Exceptional service in a very full busy restaurant ! The food was outstanding and I would not hesitate to recommend for any special occasion.

Awesome menu. Attentive, friendly and professional staff. We were so full and satisfied after eating our lunch. Thank you Oliveto, 5 ⭐️ from me.

For a totally packed lunch service of at least 4 first communion groups and a birthday party, the staff did an amazing job. Best mushroom risotto I've ever had :-)
Bec Louise
The food and service were AMAZING. What a beautiful meal. The Tiramisu was to die for!

We attended a birthday celebration a couple of days ago. The food was superb
beautifully timed, friendly staff just as it has always been in the past. I will continue to come back as it is fast becoming my number one choice.

Celebrated our Anniversary lunch [126463670726579:Oliveto Ristorante e Bar] and everything from venue, food, service & ambience was awesome. Highly recommended :)

I dined here as part of a function. The set menu included an array of starters including calamari, burrata and tomatoes, crab and zucchini fritters, natural oysters with vinegarette. My favourite starter was the crab and zucchini fritters. They had so much flavour and had a lovely aioli sauce to go with them. For the main, it was alternate serve with steak and barramundi. I had the steak. The steak was slightly over medium rare but understandable when catering for the masses. The jus and puree were great and really flavoursome. Overall, I enjoyed my dining experience at Oliveto. The restaurant is right on the water with floor to ceiling windows so there is plenty of natural light.

This is an amazing local option for a fancy meal. Food was outstanding & our waiter was so incredibly sweet. He was so attentive & friendly. Pumpkin gnocchi was out of this world. Can’t wait to return!

Absolutely beautiful place by the water. Amazing vibes and atmosphere. Food was delicious and customer service was absolutely wonderful. Would definitely come back and highly recommend this place. Thank you for a beautiful night!

Been here on casual occasion last weekend. Very respectful and friendly staff. Amazing view of the Parramatta river (with some nice walking area) and yum Italian food. I had pasta and my partner had duck leg. Portions can get a little bit bigger I think. But total experience is very positive.

Very nice atmosphere and friendly professional services. Bought a voucher from Groupon for 5 courses dinner, surprisingly good. Will revisit soon.
A Guide For Your Appetite
I have been to this restaurant 3 times now in the last couple of months for both business and leisure.<br/><br/>The staff are absolutely wonderful, professional and knowledgeable. <br/>I would say this restaurant is 'casual' find dining.<br/><br/>In all three occasions I have tried different meals and I have never been disappointed. The ingredients are always fresh and cooked on the spot. My meals have always been full of flavour.<br/><br/>My recommendations:<br/>Entree - Baby Calamari<br/>Main - Rissotto or Fishermans Basket<br/>Desert - Choc Fondant<br/><br/>The pricing it is just a bit on the pricey end however given how great the food is full of flavour and delicious, I believe it is worth it. My last visit there were 4 males who each had Entree, Main, Dessert, Coffee and a bottle of wine with a $10 tip, our meal was approx $410. <br/><br/>Would definitely continue dining here and looking forward to my next visit. <br/><br/>If you haven't been here, I strongly recommend you do.

First when we arrived we did not receive a warm welcoming at all...the staff had sad faces...not happy or friendly environment ....Very disappointed night !!everything we wanted to order was sold out! And the reason we were given was that the Restaurant will be closed for 2 days so basically we had to have what they had leftover.<br/>Unfortunately they did not have much!!!!the thing that upset us the most was that they told us that they run out of Zucchini Flowers , Spaghetti Vongole and Salmon more than 2O minutes after we ordered which was already 9.30 pm .We were starving and we told them that we were very disappointed and the only thing the waiter Danilo said was that we were rude with no manners. What a joke!!!The manager did not even come to us to apologise. Bad management ,no one looked after us !<br/>Plus very expensive: 1 aperol spritz $18!!!seriously ....Not worth it!!and everything else very expensive too !!!<br/>Moreover On the website ,it says gluten free option available but it’s not true. They had nothing gluten free.<br/>Will never go back... <br/><br/>
FoodLuva
Great restaurant for a business meeting. The service is slick and food very good. Make sure you request a table by the window, it has nice views over parramatta river.<br/>My starter was the figs wrapped in prosciutto with gorgonzola, not too bad, dogs were a little over done for my liking though and overall the dish was a little too creamy.<br/>For the main I went with the pinnacle beef eye fillet. The steak was cooked to perfection - so tender throughout and fabulous taste.<br/>The sides of rosemary potatoes, steamed greens and salad where quite pedestrian - the salad probably the best bet there.<br/>Overall a pretty good experience.
Jana Angeles
Fancy schmancy! This place is for those wanting to spend their hard earned cash on delicious food and a beautiful view. Had their tomato-based gnocchi and I loved how cheesy it was. And their zucchini flowers are AMAZING. So many wonderful flavours!!<br/><br/>Great place to go if you want to treat your colleagues to a fancy work lunch. Don't forget the wine!
Andy Daniel
Lovely destination for family dinner or celebration, The layout is definitely not the best for a romantic dinner but it'll do for everything else. <br/>Service attentive and polite. Food quality is great, and the preparation is very good too. <br/>Probably the best oysters I had in awhile. The fillet was tender and juicy as it should be. <br/>Would recommend and probably go back

I have to say I thought really quality attentive service was dead . Oliveto proved me wrong. We had faultless and personable service all night. The food was fantastic . I don't think I have had a better risotto . Not sure judging by the previous reviews if the restaurant had changed approach, but we had a great night and we're very impressed.
Selcuk Sal Sirin
Make sure you inspect your veggies and salad carefully as you might be eating caterpillars rather than greens.<br/>If you complain the manager will say " it happens" and they do not wash their greens with a smile on his face. <br/>Second management or owner comes and says he cannot be bothered arguing. <br/>When I mentioned of their high rating online management laughed and said are you sure you have the right restaurant. <br/>A big disappointment for such a classy place with their young staff giving such a good service but disappointed over all. <br/>
Zen K
Nice location and decent service but unfortunately thats where the niceties end. The portion sizes were poor in comparison to other fine dinning restaurants I've been to and we left the restaurant hungry and unsatisfied, which is not what you want when spending close to $150 between two adults and a child. For starters we ordered an Antipasto plate which was tasty and probably the best value of the night.<br/><br/>For our mains I ordered the mixed seafood grill main and whist it was cooked well, the portions were very small, and not in line with what I would expect based on my experience at other restaurants I've been to offering mixed seafood grills. Here I received a little piece of fish 5cmx5cm, a couple of king prawns, a couple of scallops and 3 small pieces of squid and was left hungry and very disappointed for a $40 price tag. <br/><br/>My wife had the spaghetti with blue swimmer crab and chile. They forgot to add the chile to the meal and after my wife complained that she was unable to taste it, they brought her a side plate of chile so she could add it on her own. This despite it being part of the dish on the menu. It was drowning in olive oil, bland and devoid of any flavour. A compliant also made by one of our friends on table who had the same meal and certainly not worthy of its $30 price tag. <br/><br/>My son ordered the kids stake which came out with a side of asparagus and fries. For $15 was expecting more than a flimsy minute stake which he devoured in 2 mins and was left wondering where the rest of his meal was. A couple of soft drinks and a couple of coffees and all this came close to $150. <br/><br/>Not good value for money and will never go there again.

New local favourite. Oliveto has been on our list for a while. Recommended by family and driving past as we only live 5 mins away. Their dessert has gone a bit viral, after seeing it on a fellow bloggers Instagram I had to check it out. Accepts online reservations check! Food was great value. We had the calamari and zuchinni flowers to start with to share, and a waiter actually used to tongs to equally portion our meals on our plates - a bit different! Our mains, my scampi was great I opted for entree size as main size was was overpriced. Baes pasta was beautiful and very generous with the crab. Dessert was great to share, tasted great, beautifully presented, a little dry but I liked it. Service was friendly and I was given a complimentary glass of limoncello to complete my Oliveto experience. A new local favourite of ours.

Have been here a few times however always for occasions like christening sor engagements. Beautiful spot on water near park so it's a picturesque spot for a lunch. Food is delicious but I especially love the pizzas! Will have to return when I can order what I like from menu...

I went here when there was a special wine and food event hosted by Entertainment Book. Not usually a wine drinker, I had visited this restaurant before and thought it was definitely worth another visit. The food and wine pairings went well together. To start there were Mixed Olives then Scallops followed by Duck Terrine. The next dish was a Beef & Pork Cappellacci. A refreshing Lemon And Basil Sorbet was served next. A Venison Cutlet was then presented. To finish we had a Chestnut Puff, Chocolate Gelato. The food was pretty delicious and presented well. Service wasn't too bad and fairly attentive but it was fully booked due to being a special. When trying to pay it too forever. They weren't as organised as they should've been.
Etudeofmemories
The level of service at this restaurant is a No No. My family ordered a few dishes to share and I remember telling the waiter that we were gonna share the food.<br/> When all the food came out, the same waiter (who almost looked angry???) said to us "I asked you if you were all sharing, you said no" ....... ???? And that wasn't the end, when he returned to our table with extra dishes for each of us, he repeated the same thing to us.<br/>I mean, lol.<br/>This place doesn't even seem to have 'AMAZING' dishes. Spaghetti and gnocchi were all below average, there was nothing, absolutely nothing that special for the price we paid. The salad was actually just so ridiculous we had one bite each and that was it. I don't remember the name of it but it was just a plate of cabbages and they charged over $20 for it. <br/>I don't think I will ever return to this place Sorry.

Oliveto is a lovely Italian restaurant just off Concord Road overlooking Parramatta River. . The beautiful restaurant has a warm atmosphere and is elegantly lit, even at night. . There's ample parking on site which makes it very convenient to visit.

The complimentary bread arrived (left) and I pondered on what to order. The staff recommended the special for the entree which was a San Daniele salad (below, $22.50) of prosciutto, rocket salad and cheese (I think it was mozzarella). It was a nice way to start the meal. Fresh but a simple combination of ingredients.
@anitastopeating
Entrees aren't bad. Mains were nice. Desserts were definitely a miss, forget about it. Service was CRAP and that plays a big part for me when it comes to a restaurant like this which was rather unfortunate.

Great location. Right by the bay & next to the park, which normally would be a perfect setting for a relaxing Sunday afternoon lunch. However it's December & party season, the place was jammed packed with various function group & parties. They initially didn't even want to take our booking. Luckily we were seated outside, so mostly avoid the crowd & noise. The downside was that we didn't get as much focus on the service, the 3 course meal took 3.5hrs.<br/><br/>The food was mostly good, with the exception of the olives & grissini, which was very underwhelming. The tuna carpaccio entree fare better, but the bagelettes it was serve with were soaked with oil, so they were oily, soggy & cardboard like. The mains were all nicely presented, my friends were happy with their pastas, and my pork belly was nice, a bit dry in parts, but get bonus points for the super crunchy crackling strip. The desserts were definitely the highlight, my generous slice of tiramisu was covered with chunky chocolate shavings, and each layer was thick & rich. But everything were nicely balanced, so it was not too sweet or too heavy. Overall promising, at least worthy of a second chance visit.

An amazing waterview location, the staff were friendly and helpful. It was a perfect venue for our Friday business lunch and the quality of the food was pretty amazing. But, it is just a bit clinical, its not very cosy and there is a bit of a cold feeling to it. Hard to explain. So, it was OK for a business lunch but not sure I'd want to have date there.
Bw_betman
The steak was good. The pork belly was too fatty but not soft enough for my liking. The crab spaghetti was decent. The raspberry soufflé was good but not special. Service was five star though
Kath
Good service, variable food, friendly atmosphere.. Recently went on Friday for dinner. I had the eye fillet and my husband had the wagyu. For the price I found the mains to be average. The ploughman's share platter that we had for entree was tasty and I love the complimentary bread they serve! However for the cost overall I think you can get better else where, so doubtful that I will return again.<br/><br/>The atmosphere is very friendly and bustling with many families and couples. Ample parking and train nearby. Service was good. Nice location on water.

A great restaurant. Have dined here a few times now with last visit on 28 March 2015 for a 50th birthday celebration. From one visit to the next the food is consistently very good and wait staff are always very attentive, friendly and professional. Almost always a full house with plenty of atmosphere. Great location and the view of the Parramatta River is especially nice at sunset. This is a genuine review and I have no vested interest. Highly recommended !

The steak was tender and cooked to perfection. The potato gratin was also amazing. I am a huge potato fan (which led me to my gym membership) and as such I gobbled this down before my husband could even try a small bit.
Buggles And Squeak
The carpaccio is sliced very finely and the meat did just melt in the mouth. It is topped with peppery rocket and earthy parmesan shavings and drizzled with olive oil. A classic Italian dish, but executed beautifully.

Well..... Food was OK. Not the best, not the worst ... The tiny servings in gigantic plates was quite funny as it was easy to see that they were trying to make it look bigger. Overly expensive and to be honest, a little too pretentious. <br/><br/>Food - 3/5<br/>Service - 4/5 <br/>Cost - 2/5 <br/>Decor/Ambience - 4.5/5

A great, friendly restaurant in a pretty setting. Enjoyable eating here.

Not happy Jan. Went there with the misses and another couple in February 2014. Food was tasty, but the portions are very small and expensive. This is the type of restaurant you go to once only and never again, unless someone else is paying. The four of us had an entrée plus main for a cost of $280.00. This amount did not include drinks as we all drank the free tap water supplied. Would never go back again.

Voted the best venue by our clients. We held a lunch for around 100 of our clients at Oliveto on Saturday, 26 October 2013. The food was just delicious and the service first class. Our clients declared this function the best we have ever had in our 11 years. <br/><br/>From an organisers point of view Oliveto were a delight to work with. Nothing was too much trouble. Some people arrived 45 minutes early and they were welcomed and served drinks without any problem at all. Oliveto stuck to our schedule to the minute and they looked after our clients as if they were their own. No one ever had an empty glass in front of them and every dish was cooked to perfection. All the wait staff were happy and polite the entire day. <br/><br/>We also hired Mario the Singing Chef for entertainment from Singers For Hire and he wowed the crowd! Oliveto accommodated all his requirements too.<br/><br/>It was the easiest function I have every organised and I would thoroughly recommend Oliveto to anyone for their special event.
Sam Lawrence
AVERAGE AVERAGE AVERGE ! Over priced, underproduced, nil service, long wait times and "ME NO ENGLISH" !
Mascarpone
Well worth the money. I was in a group of four who went to lunch at Oliveto on Sunday. The service was excellent, the waiter was efficient, knowledgeable and had a nice personality. All the meals from entree up to and including dessert were tasty and well presented. We left well satisfied and have no problem recommending this venue to others.

This place is great. Good location, good service and good food. The only gripe I have is that the beetroot and feta ravioli is off the seasonal menu, but there have been other good items that have filled its spot. <br/><br/>The mains are nice, wood fire pizza are yum and as a function location it works well

Came here for my anniversary dinner, was hoping to treat myself to a very nice dinner with exquisite taste, and as I've read that most people loved the food here, I was excited. Starters- I got the Victorian figs with prosciutto and blue cheese sauce. I love figs and this dish was nice, but the sauce was way too much, my figs were drowned in blue cheese. Killed the taste. My partner had the friend calamari, can't go too wrong with that. Mains- I had the special: tagelatelle with beef cheeks, it was tasty, but wasn't impressive. My partner had the two way duck, and he did not like it one bit. He's a chef, and according to him he was only given half a duck breast, and the roast was way too dry for it even being the drum. We didn't order dessert as we were too full. The food was alright, but given for the high price you pay, you'd expect better. However, I must praise the service. The waiter and manager were nice and efficient. They also surprised us with a slice of chocolate cake to celebrate our anniversary. Only the service was commendable, food wise, I won't come back again.

Managed to book at the last minute for this restaurant on a Saturday. Not easy as restaurant is pretty much fully booked. After a few minutes wait we were lucky enough to get a table outside close to water view.<br/><br/>Overall food was pretty good quality. Crab spaghetti nice with perfect level of garlic ingredient and the fish of the day (barramundi) was nice and fresh. Dessert (chocolate mousse) was nice and the chianti wine nice and about average price.Service was pretty good. Overall good experience and for $180 priced (for two) about right.. Recommended.

Can't wait to return!. Had a leisurely lunch here, and really enjoyed the gnochhi and buffalo mozarella, the cheese platter was also impressive. Beautiful restaurant to celebrate at, will definitely return.

We ate here last night- food was fantastic- I ordered the spaghettini with blue swimmer crab and my partner ordered the eye fillet, both were simple, but very tasty Italian dishes... Service was good, although young waiter who delivered drinks kept taking our drinks to wrong table. Chefs are also in full view and we were witness to lots of stress and a little swearing- it was very busy! But it added to the experience of being in an Italian restaurant. Would definitely return!
Clara
Bad service, very noisy and crowded. Had to sit outside. The food is not worth the price at all- ordered a king fish fillet overcooked and very average. The pizza was decent but overall not the best dining experience
Paula Adams
Lovely innovative menu. Portion size just right for me. Richly beautiful food. very yummy but not cheap (but so worth the $'s!)

Perfect spot for lunch on a sunny day. An oasis in the busyness of Rhodes. Great specials board and a well considered selection of cheeses on the cheese board. Impeccable service.

Service was great, our water glasses were never empty. Ocean trout risotto was cooked perfectly and wasn't overpowered by the trout. The pastry in the rubarb & pear tart was just the right amount of crumble. Everyone on our table enjoyed their meals.

From woe to go.... Bad service, cold food, wrong drinks...bad service...
