Try to come here before peak hour. The service is fast and staff are friendly and attentive :) Please don't put marshmallows in the hot chocolate. Other than that, fluffiest and top value buttermilk pancakes in Sydney 😋 absolutely love how dense, filling, and generous the toppings are. Quality pancakes you'll love 🥞
Love the pancakes here! They never disappoint. Instantly when the pancakes came, my friend and I were overwhelmed by the sweet aroma! And it was delicious and scrumptious and very soft and appealing to the eye
Nice place, tried out for the authentic Australian breakfast and was not disappointed.
Enjoyed the beef ribs, chicken schnitzel and loved the wedges with sweet chilli and sour cream sauce. The pancakes are fluffy and flavoured well.
Will recommend and would come back.
Ordered the devils pancake... for pancakes they are the best give options and flavour, even their original ones are good, soft, fluffy and tasty. I ordered ice coffee and it was so bitter, didn’t even go with ice cream just whipped cream.. disappointed. Next time would definitely come back just to have the pancakes though.
Friendly staff, superb pancakes - perfect for brunch! We visited on a weekend and were in queue for quite a while but the waiting was all worth it! Highly recommended!
Located at darling harbour side shopping centre, this place is amazing.
We were greeted upon entry and were given a seat inside.
The staff was really polite and kind.
We then decided to try the devils delight pancakes, along with some hot chocolate.
Then we tried their Nachos !
Pancakes were so soft and spongy . I just loved them so much!!
Even nachos with beef, guacamole and sour cream were good.

Mmmm... as I’ve said before, I’m in love with these pancakes! I love how fluffy they are and buttery they taste. Super delicious. Got the bananarama and apple crumble. Bananarama will always be the best one out of the sweet ones. I wish they gave more ice cream though as I felt the portion was off. The rocks branch also makes these better than this branch.
Great place for a meal and not only the pancakes as the name suggests. I have been here a couple of times and I love the pork ribs and the nachos especially and would try it again in the future. I make it a point to try new pancakes on each visit so I still haven't found a bad one yet. I would highly suggest the bananarama and the devil's delight. Also, the hot chocolate is worth a try if not in mood for an alcoholic or cold beverage. Although the cost is a bit high, it more than makes it up in the quality and quantity for the price.
Polite and friendly staff and amazing place if you are craving a sweet treat. I've tried the seafood crepes they are good but could be flavored better. The pancakes are to die for with a variety of toppings and fruits to choose from.
If you want to have comfort food in a relaxing environment after a hard day at work, this is the place to go.They do a lot of savory dishes as well along with pancakes.
my personal favourites are wedges and black forest pancake.
Although I don't like to eat sweet food, but here, service attitude is also very good.

This will be our third writeups about Pancakes on the Rocks. This time around is from one of their busier branches in Darling Harbour’s Harbourside shopping centre. The restaurant is almost always full and on most weekends you will need to queue. A couple of years ago when I wrote about Pancakes in Beverly Hills, there were hardly any new thing on the menu, except for the introduction of ‘sidewinder’ wedges. This time around they have a few new items on the menu.
This place is not just known for their pancakes (as irresistible as they are). We love the savoury food here, in particular the ribs :) we love wolfing down the beef and pork ribs and the wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli are top notch! Simple things done well! We also love using the entertainment voucher every year (buy one main get one free)🐼🥢
This is my first time to try this legend pancake. I ordered something top with chocolate. But no worries, all the menu was delicious. I recommend to come to this place with your friends
The place so comfortable to have meetings or just simple dinner. Enjoy
For those who loves pancake should try it. The pancake is very fluffy and soft. I tried the hot n’ troppo pancake it contains a banana, walnut, chocolate sauce, cream & top with chocolate ice cream. Superb!
I often come here for chocolate pancakes but this time we had our formal dinner.
Personally I think the beef rib was better than the pork rib...at first when I saw the beef rib is thick I thought that was hard to chew...but surprisingly it was soft and have better texture than pork rib!
the Caesar salad was also good as the surface of every veggie was coated by the Caesar sauce😎
obviously the choco pancakes was good...Not much to say about it haha

I'm yet to meet someone that doesn't enjoy pancakes on the rocks! I love the range of sweet treats which are always made well. There's chocolately ones and fruity ones also. I love the fact that theres also savoury food here - my favourite has to be the nachos. I remember in high school making my way to Darling Harbour just for pancakes on the rocks. I suppose it's a place of nostalgia for me. Service has always been friendly, but can be a little slow when they are busy.
Im personally not a fan of pancakes but this place was pretty good! They have an extensive menu and I was pretty surprised with how good the coffee was
Pancakes one the Rocks has an extensive menu for breakfast, but my choice is still he classic pancakes with butter and maple syrup. They do it really well out here. Their menu is designed to make us add more options, don’t get tricked by it. The portions are huge in size, so make sure to double check that extra side you’ve been thinking about.
You can’t go wrong with Pancakes on the Rocks, especially if you crave pancakes and crepes. We came here for lunch during work hours. I ordered the chicken and mushroom crepe, and my workmate ordered the fisherman’s breakfast (I think!). Then we ordered the banana pancakes for dessert. A filling meal but worth every bite! It’s affordable and the service was quick.
I love crepes and Pancakes. I come from the place where the crepes had been created so I can tell you i am quite difficult with crepes. But a lot of people told me the crepes were good there. I have been dispaointed I have to admit. First thing there was such a long queue to have a table there, always crowded. When we managed to get a table we decided to try the savoury and the sweets crepes. We tried the chicken and mushroom with a tomato sauce, the presentation was not very pretty, the taste was fine but not what I would expect from a crepe. The Fresh mushroom was better, more creamy and a good taste of mushroom. And for dessert we got a buttermilk pancakes with strawberries and vanilla ice cream and this was very good. I would advice more the pancake than the crepes.
Loved the food! Amazing soft pancakes!
Lots of varieties to choose from and amazing ambience. Highly recommend it
Great place to have your best weekend breakfast.
Amazing Service! ❤️👍🏻, loved the retro vibes and food was absolutely divine ❤️😍😍👏🏻. Had the pancakes always a favourite and will always come back 👏🏻😍☺️🙌🏻
Pancakes were yummy, the place was crowded but service was pretty quick. Got our pancakes in about 10mins. Pancakes go well with the ice cream and maple syrup.
Was greeted by friendly staff and had a very polite and helpful waiter always checking up on us and making sure we always had something to drink and that we were satisfied with our meal. The two pancakes ordered tasted very nice and filling, and were also very fluffy which I liked.
It was super packed when i came here on a Saturday night !! Although the pancakes are a bit overpriced, it definitely would satisfy my sweet tooth, being super filling. My friend ordered the "devils delight", which I found a bit too heavy on the chocolate, but my friends loved it!! I had the "Hot n Troppo" with vanilla ice cream which was an amazing balance in terms of flavour and texture. Would definitely recommend.
The place is quite overrated in my honest opinion. Tried pork ribs, beef ribs, hot n troppo pancake, salad, and all are just ordinary. Nothing special.
The best desert pancakes in Sydney. The Chocolate pancake was rich and full of flavour. Pizza was good. I would come in for some pancakes anytime!
Like the pancakes with the syrup (and ice cream) but the beef ribs were a bit unsatisfactory. And the Mexican style menu I ordered were too small in quantity for me. There was also some delay in the food with one of the staff mucking up our order
This is actually my mom's favourite place for a pancake and a beef rib. While I don't particularly have a penchant for pancakes, I order a steak menu when we are here and so far I have never really had a dish that I wasn't able to enjoy. They are all very reasonable and I also actually really like the vanilla? ice cream that come on top of the pancakes as they are not too sugary. But very slow service so you have to be prepared to wait for some time for all the food
Central location, pancakes was delicious. I do recommend a sharing meal as they portion are big.. dessert pancake are good but slightly too sweet
I simply love their pancakes n scrambled eggs, the pancakes tasted great, the eggs also great, and the mapple syrup was delicious. The service was nice, i even bought their pancakes mix. However i'm not really fond of their devils delight, maybe it's because the taste of chocolate was too much.
Not sure if the pancakes are overhyped, but i recently tried the devils delight and the chocolate pancake was normal in my opinion :/. They did give a generous amount of butter and strawberries and a scoop of chocolate icecream.
Always solid, and consistent. One of Sydney's late-night reliable options. I'd say always get sweet pancakes; savoury offerings here are less masterful. Steaks and other dishes are actually quite good, but expensive.
Hot tip; try getting your pancakes replaced with crepes. The option is on the menu (each normal pancake replaced with two crepes), and ticks the box for anyone who wants a less dense and overwhelming experience.
been dying to try this place out, it's quite reasonable price , for 40$/2 people you can get 3 pancake dishes and will get a full stomach afterward. love the breakfast menu, pancake is soft and fluffy. overall a nice restaurant
Pork ribs was very good. Had one with the honey soy sauce. Very uniquely shaped fries. Also had the lemon pancake and cream cheese filled crepes
Walked in straight out of a walk on darling harbour. The place has the uniqueness of staying open until early dawn. A great place to binge after a night of drinking away. The pancake never failed to impress. I tried the chocolate jewel, the ideal dish for a chocoholic.
super happy !!
Located at ground floor of Harbourside, Pancakes offers more than just its namesake, but also crepes, pizzas, salads and grills. It is open fairly late too which is perfect when craving food after a few drinks.
Nice ribs very big portion. The ultimate Pancake are soft and juicy.
Nice place for a big party than couple looking for somewhere romantic.
Food size portions have gotten smaller, food wasn't particularly great, the atmosphere was still the same. The pancakes were fantastic and was definitely the highlight! Ribs and pizza were not too bad, but need improvement...
☞Pork Ribs thats the thing makes me keep coming back
☞good service 👌
☞ friendly staff
▪que before me and my friends got the table is not too bad for a friday night. We didn't wait that long not even 10mins i guess 😏
Totally 👌👌👌

With a name like pancakes, thar's what you have to have when your here. There is such a range of sweet offerings & all are delicious. Classic, fluffy vanilla or chocolate pancakes thats neither too thick or thin with classic accompaniments. The crepes are good also. There is also a range of savoury crepes and mains but for me, the sweets are where its at.
Got chance for quick stop at this restaurant. Tried the one with banana and chocolate sauce, and it was very delicious. Sadly I went by myself that I didn't manage to try other menu.
Super delicious pancakes and this was my 2nd time back. Customer service was lovely and they allowed my friend to personalise her order of pancakes. I would love to keep coming back here.
Yes I love this :)
The taste is good :)
I'll be back hehehe
Actually it's too sweet for me and the fruit is fresh, I like it :)
And the price little bit expensive for the pancake :)
For a Saturday night the wait in the queue was for only 15 minutes and we were ushered to a table. The servers were very attentive and informative despite the in-coming rush hour. Me and hubby decided to share the choco vanilla dual combo which had both the buttermilk and chocolate pancakes. Since i scraped from the side i didnt get that sugary ice cream syrup on my portions. If compared between the two i preferred the buttermilk one as it was buttery soft. In addition we also ordered a banana smoothie and an iced coffee without cream and ice cream. The drinks were a disappointment especially the banana smoothie as it tasted like a homemade shake. For $7.5 it felt like a complete waste.
I actually love Pancakes on the Rocks even though I know many find it overrated. My favourite is the strawberry patch however I have also had the devils delight and bannanarama. I find their pancakes to be delicious and fluffy and the toppings to go well with them. I would be happy to return here.
Pancakes were good and had almost all the varities you can expect.Staff is quick and place is crowded in a nice way due to the Darling harbour.I also had tasted the pizzas here and they are worth it.
Wish I could give higher - I give 5 out of 5 for the breakfasts (pancakes w bacon egg sausage etc) and for the dessert but the only savoury food that I feel is enjoyable beef ribs which I can't personally eat in such a huge serving but it's great for beef rib lovers!
Pancakes were really soft and fluffy - very yummy. Had the Pancakes and Sausages breakfast one, along with the Hot 'N' Troppo dessert one. Absolutely loved the breakfast one while the dessert one was a little too sweet for my taste. Service was great also.
Been here many times for dinner and they get quite busy so it's good to get in early, otherwise you'll find yourself waiting in long queues especially Friday nights.
As their name suggests, they're best known for their pancakes but they've also got a good variety of savory items - salads, crepes, ribs, pizza. I wouldn't say these are "wow" but it's decent food - maybe a little pricey but it's in line with the pricing of places around the area anyway. I always ensure I save room for a serving of their thick fluffy pancakes for dessert. It's usually between the strawberry or blueberry one for me :) Love it!
In terms of decor, they've got a good amount of booth seating which I like. Staff are nice, however last time I went, I think they were trying to get us to finish and leave as soon as possible because they did have every long queue outside. (They kept wanting to collect out plates even though we weren't finished yet.)
Overall, it's not a place I must go to regularly but I would definitely revisit - especially when pancake craving hits! :)
Situated on the edge of the Darling Harbour precinct, this pancake palace is a great representation of the Pancake Manor network. The service was fast and friendly and the crepes served in good time and exactly to menu. My latte was hot and smooth and met expectations.
The food is different and yummy . chicken and mushroom crepe is good as well . Should try the beef ribs but quantity not worth the money . The ambience is quite okay . The service is Noticeably good . I would go again .
We totally love the pancakes here. Devil's Delight is absolutely to die for. Strawberries, choc ice cream, sauces - the combination is amazing and tastes great. Coffee is awesome too. This place is not to be missed if you love pancakes.
Ah my absolute favourite place to eat back in my uni days. Over the course of 3 years I think I was in here at LEAST once a fortnight because I loved it so much. My taste in food did change a little over the years so I don't understand how I was so obsessed, but I still do enjoy their tandoori chicken pizza. Have to get it every single time I'm there. Definitely should try it out at least once!
Out of all the dishes I've tried (and I've tried quite a lot), ones I would get again are the pesto and pinenut bread crusts, nachos, mexicana crepes, pork ribs and sometimes the fisherman's catch. Nothing I've had has ever been bad, but I suppose these are the ones that stood out the most for me. My favourite dessert is the macadamia madness, but I also switch it up from time to time with the vanilla & choc surprise.
There used to be quite a long line back in the day especially around dinner time, but not sure if that's still the case as I haven't had to wait too long the last couple of times I've been. I know I won't have a bad experience here, so if everywhere around Darling Harbour is a 20 min + wait, I'd rather just come here for another dose of tandoori chicken pizza! :)
I know people come here for their pancakes and I have tried it a few time over the years but on this visit, my husband and I had their pork ribs for lunch as we had an entertainment voucher.
While it's not as good as Hurricanes upstairs, the meat was tender and we didn't mind the barbecue sauce it came in. While I wanted to share a pancake for dessert, we were too full to eat anything else.
Went to Sunday night after having a big dinner.haha When I think about the pancake on the rocks always makes me hungry!!
Ordered 'Coco berry' and was my first time. So tasty!! Vanilla Icecream,Chocolate and Coconut were totally matched and was yummy than I expected.
Should try it if you alcoholic to chocolate & coco
Brilliant food and service. Servings are large. Only two things disappointed me: the milk shakes are so watery and without any body whatsoever. They need to be much thicker.Tasted like they were just like those supermarket flavoured milks. Secondly the wooden chairs are like sitting on concrete.Either get some decent chairs or put cushions on them.
