Great food! Lovely place! The barramundi was delicious and the date pudding the best I hv ever had! Definitely worth while a second time!

Our waiter was prompt and fast, the only negative I have to say was we waited for a bout 20 minutes to get the bill.

I had some friends visiting from Melbourne and I wanted to take them to a restaurant with a waterfront view. The food was very good- around the table there were no disappointment with any of the entrees or main dishes. Just a tip there is loads of seafood here ordered fresh from Sydney’s fish market so any seafood fans consider that!! The staff are really attentive and really are passionate in what they do- delivering excellent service and recommendations and really make you feel valued. Ambience as well makes for a really magical evening. The menu can be slightly pricy with alcohol but honestly it was 100% worth the experience.

This restaurant is well known for its harbourside views and amazing seafood. Unfortunately didn't get a chance to try their seafood as we were there just for a quick lunch fix however their pizza's and mocktails really hit the spot. Will definitely be back.
Excellent food
We went to Cyren on a Saturday night without reservation. After a 10/15 minutes wait we were given a table inside. Service was quick. The pork ribs was the best that we have ever had! The meat was so tender and juicy, just fell off the bone. The grilled barramundi, butterflied prawns , too were excellent. The chicken schnitzel was good but a bit soggy as the it had the sauce already poured on it. Would have preferred it with the sauce on the side. We will definitely be back
Beautiful restaurant right on the water. What a wonderfull place for a long, boozy lunch. Food was great - you must try the honey, chilli cheese bread, it’s incredible. My steak was undercooked (ordered medium, came out rare) but was large and tasty regardless. The mash and mushroom sauce were incredible - so much flavour packed in there!
Summer, harbour view and seafood, a few of the many things we love about Sydney. One place you can enjoy all three under the same roof is Cyren in Darling Harbour. A long-standing restaurant known for its impressive harbour view and fresh seafood, Cyren defies the stereotype of a tourist restaurant and gets our thumb up on more than one occasion.
Cyren has a great Darling Harbour view and surprisingly good food for a place that looks as though will serve you average dishes and rip you off like there's no tomorrow. Antipasto is just like any other Antipasto but OMG Braised Wagyu Beef Cheeks was awesome! It's soft, creamy, meat falls apart, juicy, delicious and a must try. They take cooking seriously so my guess is other Wagyu dishes are worth ordering.
Although I took my date here a few years ago and didn't go well, it's also a good place to impress someone. I give this place 4 bears.
Beautiful atmosphere and great food! We didn’t get a window seat but we were seated in the centre with gorgeous lighting from the skylight.
Mum and I shared the Grilled Baby Octopus and I’m Angus Scotch Fillet.
The octopus main was done perfectly. Clean, fresh and so great to get away from fried food!
The Scotch Fillet was a little undercooked (we got rare instead of medium rare) but overall tasted great with the mashed potato and wine jus, I only wished that they were both on the side so it didn’t overpower the steak.
The pricing was fair for the quality and amount we received.
Staff was courteous however unobservant. It took some time to flag a staff member down to take our order and to get the bill.
All in all, mum and I really enjoyed ourselves and would love to visit again on our next trip to Sydney!

Octopus was very fresh and as usual chewy. Though i was not a fan of there lobster bcz it was stuffed with cheese which was overpowering the sweet lobster flavour to me it was a let down. Nothing special about the fish and chips it was very greasy. If gvn a chance ill visit this place only for the view nothing else order a beer or two and enjoy the view
The view is soooo good! Oh i cant take my eyes from the sea... the place is nice too. I ordered fish and chips. Taste good. But the best of this place is the view aaaa🤩
I had the petite fillet and it was cooked to perfection and even though it looked small it was enough. The second meal was s TBone and it was cooked again to perfection.
It’s hard to miss this venue when you’re walking around Darling Harbour. Strategically located near the ICC, you can enjoy an awesome view of the harbour if you sit outside. They have a large seating area with white/neutral colours dominant. I wanted to enjoy their dishes but since I was full I just went there to enjoy the view while sipping on coffee :) They have two separate sections though. If you’re there for coffee only you’ll get the seating area that is a bit further from the view of the harbour.
Coffee is pretty good and there’s free wifi too, which is nice.
If I come with empty stomach next time I’ll try their food :)

The interior design is filled with orange chairs and white/bleached timbers. Cyren's diverse menu is crafted with simplicity and plated to perfection. They are running an Instagram competition where you could win a $150 dining voucher. Cyren is part of Nick's Restaurant & Bar Group - they own venues like Nick's Seafood, Adria, I'm Angus, Nick's Bar & Grill and Stacks, impressive right?
Visited after work on a Friday before it got too busy. Lovely view from the tables even from inside. Staff were polite and attentive without being intrusive. Food was average price for Darling Harbour but generous in portion. We were provided with extra bread for our entrees. I ordered the mussels which weren’t cleaned particularly well but were still very tasty. Pasta marinara was delicious, he Caesar salad was standard fare. Kids meals generous. Dessert looked unbelievable and I’d go back to try it next time. .
Food service was great, we did not have to wait for long for all our initial order despite a full house. But, any additional orders took a while to process. My father had to ask twice for coffee, and we had to wait too long for our cake we brought from home to be cut (despite paying 5 bix)
We had oysters, seafood platter, couple of grilled fishes , and pork ribs. I would def come back for the ribs!

Fresh at it's Best
We dined at this restaurant for a friends 30th Birthday. I personally dined here when the restaurant was owned by the previous name 'Jordans' and Cyren was suggested by a friend. Cyren is owned by the Nicks group and I am not a big fan of the Nicks seafood restaurant due to the bad customer service and really slow service even when there are about 20 people in their restaurant.
Cyren had absolutely terrific service, the seafood was all really fresh and perfectly cooked and finally the view was to top it off all!
Food - As the name suggests, it is Fresh at it's best. There was a group of 9 of us and everyone was happy with their meals. One of the meals we ordered was the Hot n Cold seafood platter with (extra) Lobster mornay. WOW! I hate peeling king prawns, but I did not mind on this occasion as the first peeled and ate was so fresh, I wish I ordered more. I am a bit eater however this platter was more then enough. At only $99, It absolutely exceeds value for money.
Service - Finally a restaurant that is part of the 'Nicks Group', understands proper service. We had a waiter that was 'dedicated' to our table. When the waiter finished his work day, he introduced us to his replacement. This is very professional service.
The service from the waiters was very good and very quick.
Value - With a perfect view, excellent atmosphere and terrific environment, I am very surprised that this restaurants prices aren't higher. It absolutely was value for money.
Have been here a number of times and they ar always consistent. Service is very good and meals come quickly , tables rotate frequently to accommodate for walk ins , if in Darling Harbour well worth a visit.
Had the signature platters and they were lovely. Good combination of hot and cold seafood and the lobster tasted beautiful. It's a very busy restaurant so service can be slow at times
Went for an after work drink on a Sunday afternoon and had one of their happy hour deals- which include 5 dollar house wines, Caronas and 10$ selected cocktails (4 choices). I had the strawberry caprikoskia which was apart of the special ... it was extremely strong felt like I was drinking straight up shots ! It's good in a way as it means they aren't ripping you off hahah. The view and vibe is AMAZING !! The decor is nice and has a lot of natural light!
Just wondering by and this place had a nice feel so we stopped in. The service was FAST, however they were not hovering and trying to push you out. The meat was very well prepared and the vegetables fresh and tasty. Enjoyed my glass of Cab Merlot, view was nice and outside seating made for fresh air.
Top drawer. Good food very reasonably priced and big.portions. easily the best VFM we have enjoyed in Australia so far. Wish we discovered this place on our 1st day in sydney instead of our last
If you are looking for a kid friendly place on weekend's evening and at the same time do not want to miss the fan fair of darling harbour, I will say this is the place for you. We went there couple of weeks back for dinner and drinks and only came out delighted. Rates are reasonable and food is tasty. We ordered chicken snitzel, beer burgers and beef ribs for our dinner and all were good to taste. My son thoroughly enjoyed his kid dinner (chicken and chips along with icecream). I also won't forget to mention friendly servers who would ensure you feel comfortable and get your food/drinks on time.
Dined in Cyren tonight and was quite surprised. The service was lovely, we had a lovely blonde waitress who was extremely attentive and helpful.
Ordering the fresh soursop go bread which was fresh and tasty, served with virgin olive oil.
Garlic prawns which were butterflied and huge, cooked beautifully and tender. The snapper was fresh, beautifully cooked and the chips were served in the traditional newspaper which was a great twist.
The server was attentive with wine and water, filling up when needed and without asking.
Was a great experience and would definitely come back when in Sydney.
The overall experiece was good but the steak was kinda too thick but dry! But i ll come back as the lobster was a MUST to try. Good view, great service! Recommened!
Chilli cheese bread ninja!!
Oooftt! The Honey chilli cheese bread was on point! Tasty and cheesy with sweet and spicy note, the main dish was the Signature seafood platter.
My favourite was the calamari, cheese bread and ribs!! Sauce in the ribs were on point!
Get ready to sit right by the waters with aweesome view!

I have eaten here a couple of times. Been happy both times, first time I had a steak and the second time had a pizza. Both tasty and well cooked, worth a visit for sure.
Went there for dinner last night food was tasty, great ambience, cool breze at the darling harbour. We got our bill after continuous asking to the staff in about 15 mins which was not cool. Good is tasty, a bit overpriced, great place to eat amazing seafood....
The service is great during dinner. The food is also really tasty. I came here straight after checking into my hotel. I love cyren but they need a better heating during winter
I was invited to a birthday dinner at Cyren on a Friday night. It had a great atmosphere and was in the perfect location, overlooking the water at Darling Harbour. I'm not much of a seafood person so I didn't try the dishes that Cyren is famous for. Instead I had the chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce and mash. The schnitzel itself was cooked well. Nice crispy outside and tender on the inside. The sauce was a little salty which I feel took away from the dish for me. Others around the table also agreed that their dishes were salty. I also tried the sticky date pudding which was delicious, even for someone who doesn't usually eat it. Our waiter was very friendly so 5/5 for service! It is pricey but given that it is in Darling Harbour, this came as no surprise

Love the view here if get a table outside. Normally I just ordered the grilled fish n it's nice. Recommend the soufflé as well its a treat for sweet tooth. The bar inside offers a big bowl of cocktail which is cool.
This is a cute little place to go to during hot days when you want to enjoy a little cocktail and meal by the water. However the cocktails seem to be a hit and miss- some days they are amazing, other days not as great. I guess this just depends on who's at the bar. Food is okay more so just an average meal. However I am in love with a couple of their entrees so amazing! I definately recommend going here for a bite sharing a few entrees and grabbing a few drinks. Just cross your fingers that a good bartender will be on.
We stopped in for a bite between lunch and dinner, the food wasn't bad and the drinks were good but a very bad time for customer service. The staff was very busy getting ready for dinner service.

Lo único malo es que si vas al bar la atención es sin mesero y tu tienes que ir a ordenar todo el tiempo lo que quieres pero la vista del lugar es fantástica!
Had a great night food was brilliant wine a little expensive but always enjoy our time at Cyrens should be open for breakfast more often maybe next time. One thing Darling Harbour is not what it used to be so much work going on flooding water when it rains can't get to motel
Cane here for happy hour - actually 3 wonderful hours. Friendly staff and quick service. The Havana Mojito was delicious - super stuffed full of mint! We may be back for more later..
In a dim setting inside, I was excited to try the food at Cyren in Darling Harbour. A dark restaurant can be really tough for a food blogger when it comes to photos though! The Zomato rating is 3.1/5 which is probably a bit harsh. I eagerly order a hot and cold seafood platter ($99, top photo) to share. It has a nice range of mussels, oysters, king prawns, smoked salmon on the cold side. On the hot side of the platters, there is an array of crumbed prawns, calamari and chips. This platter is perfect for being a bit naughty and nice. I can't resist hot chips or a bit of crumbed food but it can make you feel heavy so the fresh seafood provides a nice balance. I would recommend this platter!

Loved their mamas pizza! You can get if for $10 during their happy hour (3-7). Would recommend their BBQ meatlovers and vegetarian supreme. Yummy!
Cyren is huge inside but still full tonight. I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and despite being on my own it was a nice night. I was very pleased to see Asahi Dry Black on the menu. The service by the waiter was excellent. He was both knowledgable and efficient. Unfortunately I was served mains only a minute after I was handed the entree but they did offer to take it back and promised a fresh main. The prime fillet was cooked perfectly and very tender. Altogether an excellent venue.
Good place to stop and eat whilst in Darling Harbour especially if you are showing tourists around. I've had the pork belly here and it was a large serving and cooked to perfection. I love the cocktails here especially the 100s & 1000s cocktail but beware you will end up with sprinkles all over you. The service is a bit slow because it gets busy but it still has a great vibe and view of the harbour.
Came here at lunch time. The place was crowded. Love the ambiance and the seafood platter. And also the blueberry pannacota was so delicious!
We came here for NYE and it was fantastic. Even though it was a set menu (not a problem of course) it had many options to choose from. I had the Lobster with garlic butter and it was lovely and a cheese platter for dessert, and the blue vein cheese was creamy and not too strong. View is great and the staff are wonderful. Great kids menu too. Would hit this place up again :)
We have been coming to Cyren for Xmas eve for past 4 years and came to Jordan's before that.
We absolutely love their seafood platters - it's a $160 for a platter for 2, but could easily feed 3. The food is always fresh and delicious quality above all others.
However it's a big restaurant, they churn customers so food arrives super quick and it's never a long relaxing dinner but it's the best seat in the house for Xmas eve fireworks.
Came here for dinner last Thursday night for a meal by the water. We sat inside due to the bad weather but still had a lovely view. Service was great, very friendly waitstaff and attentive to our requests. We ordered cocktails (unfortunately they were out of the lychee baby which I wanted because it sounded delicious) they're a little on the pricier end at $16 each. For food we had the Alaskan Crab Salad with tomato and avocado which was amazing definitely the standout dish and would recommend! It was fresh and presented beautifully with 3 levels. The seafood basket came with calamari, fish and prawns this was pretty average deep fried goodies haha and also the taverna pizza which came on a nice and thin crust! Would return to make use of the happy hour next time!
Cyren, another Nicks seafood chain is of course amazing. The scenery, is a delight to be around, enjoyed the view and air. The outdoor seating is my favourite and the lovely staff and food too!

Friendly service, huge menu, great lunch specials and fabulous views of Darling Harbour. Fast and efficient service. The octopus was cold and chewy but apart from that everything else was fine!
