Food is good and prices are reasonable. Near to CBD. Used to go for dinner regularly. The staff is welcoming and the entire setup gives you a feel of Punjab

Do not be put off by the bain-marie , I usually am, but a lot of traffic goes through this place so the dishes are refreshed regularly. It's no frills, but this place makes seriously good curries. Great value too, 3 choices with rice for $10.50 - large size. And it really is large, looking around the restaurant everyone has a huge mound of food in front of them.
I had the goat masala, allo eggplant and chicken madras. I also got the mango chutney and yogurt, condiments which took the curries to another level.
Just close your eyes if you have to, order and eat - you will enjoy it.

Its very good value for money and decently tasty. It's cheap indian take out. You can get a chicken tikka wrap for like $6 and you will be full. And if you get 3 meat curries with rice its less than $10.

Its big bold strong flavours, don't expect delicate flavours or finesse.

The food is good. I mean when you compare with the price, it is a great choice. Don't expect anything fancy, but if you are looking for good Indian food at a decent price then it is an option you can explore.

I've been eating at the North Indian Cuisine Darlinghurst for almost two decades now and it's consistantly good and nourishing. This establishment is so busy the food is always fresh at very reasonable prices. The curries are especially delicious and it's one of the few Indian restaurants that serves an excellent goat curry. They are licenced and BYO too.

This place actually deserves more than 5 stars....been going here since 1987, the place and ambience hasn't changed an iota. Bollywood movies play continuously on a TV monitor, and yes, they have sometimes dropped my change in the buffet containers, then from a distance watched amusingly as the staff discreetly try to fish the coins out again, constantly stirring with ladles...But, the food remains consistent, authentic and delicious! On many occasions I've witnessed taxi drivers double-park, with engines still running, leave their vehicles unattended, to rush inside and grab themselves a takeaway!

The kinda place that just seems to soldier on over many years and bring out good food. You just get that hunch they will be around for while and continue to please. A favourite for budget Indian food in this city. One of few places I like once in a while for having a solitary dinner. The TV with bollywood movies or music videos in the background is nice. All the veggie curries, butter chicken and goat/mutton curries are nice. If you ask them for a fresh, hot cheese nan, they're pretty good with arranging that.

North Indian Cuisine is a very casual restaurant for dining in. They are pretty busy with takeaway orders. Some of our curries were a bit bland when we dined in for dinner and we had quite a lot of leftovers. We reheated them for dinner the next day and they were actually extremely delicious!
