What an Amazing experience!! Truly the finest Italian I’ve ever had and a great atmosphere to dine in. Highly recommend you try Pino’s Mezze platter with choices of cheese and salami before diving into their house made pasta dishes. Thank you Pino’s, till next time.
Delicious food, great wine, beautiful interior, great service and perfect atmosphere! Highly recommend. A hidden gem that must be visited!
Fabulous bar and restaurant. The menu is delicious and just so fabulous. The wine list is entirely accessible but also has plenty of options. The staff know the food and wine and are very very friendly. This is my new go to for fab food and wine.
Wow !!! This place is an absolute winner!
We had dinner at the bar and can't rave about the service and food and wine enough , even the negroni's we had were great!
The staff were so incredibly helpful and friendly!
Pino's you have done it, ticked every box for us!
After a recent trip to Italy we have now found a little slice of Italian flare and food in our little Alexandria Hub , and we will be back for sure!
Bravo!!!
Amazing find, nestled in on a cute street in Alexandria! When we arrived on Saturday eve the place was glowing in the dark...it looked so rich and warm and when we got inside it did not disappoint! We were welcomed by Dianne the lovely manager/owner! She offered help choosing wine and food and nothing disappointed...delicious wine and first class food! We left feeling extremely satisfied in every respect! Wonderful hidden gem....keep up the good work guys x
After my second time visiting with my partner, I can say that this little place is an amazing little gem, worthy of high praise! Food and decor is beautiful and the staff are friendly and attentive! If you enjoy a cocktail or two, I highly recommend the "Still Life" cocktail - SO good!
Wow.. what a hidden gem. If you're looking a for a cosy little restaurant/bar this is a must. The Buratta is just divine. And the Panacotta with poached pear and mulled wine was to die for. Great wines and craft beers too. And lastly the service was great.
Evolving and ever delicious menu coupled with spectacular cocktails and a wine list to match.
Thanks for making every visit an absolute delight!
Made with love from the decor to the food, this is a place u have to try!!! The menu is to die for. #TrueItalianStyle #OurNewFavSpot
As locals, it is always great when something new opens up. Especially when it is something that offers what no one else in the immediate are does - really high quality food and drink in a grown up (dare I say, sophisticated?) environment. In the short time since its opening, I have been to Pino's twice. The menu has changed with new offerings. The staff are knowledgable and helpful. The wine selection - and advice - is excellent. Alexandria has developed a rep for cool. Pino's raises the bar to a new level.
Been here on a wednesday night.. Loved it!!! Stunning place, beautiful atmosphere, friendly service!!Octopus is to die for and tiramisu simply light as a cloud!! Great cocktails too! Wish i had restaurant like this in my neighbourhood!!! I'll definitely come back!!!
Fabulous local bar and restaurant. The menu is awesome - loads of Italian wines with an amazing Bar Manager - thx Davide. The staff know the food and wine and are very very friendly. Matteo made the experience more inviting along with his Matre D - I have a permanent booking each Sunday - this is is my new go to for a local restaurant experience.
Had dinner there last night with my fiancé, and the food and service was outstanding! Some of the best food we've had in a long time. Lovely vibe and great cocktails too! Well done definitely coming back!
Our new favourite Italian restaurant in Sydney. Best food, cocktails and service we've had at a restaurant/bar in a long, long time. Try the lamb ragu rigatoni, it's heaven in a bowl! Bravo Pino's! We'll be back again. And again. And again! Grazie mille!
Had the squid ink ravioli with seafood emulsion special last night. Omg...
Amazing food and lovely wait staff..highly recommend
What a room!
Great attention to detail. The food and drinks were top notch as were all the staff.
Can't wait to go back.
Great to see Italian like this in a nondescript suburban location. The tonarelli had a great egg flavour but the bolognese sauce was sparse and very salty. Add some beetroot and pesto salad and some pate and some good tiramisu and it's worth a look, even at the high prices.
Hidden gem in Alexandria! We didn't expect to find such great food here at this tiny local restaurant, but we were blown away by the quality of every dish. Authentic and generous portions, great for sharing with a group of friends. The antipasto board was delicious with fresh parma and mortadella with truffle cheese. Their tiramisu is honestly one of the best I've had, creamy and light. Their signature octopus and potatoes were a delight, beautiful fresh produce from WA. Highly recommend coming here for a great Italian meal.
This is an awesome restaurant. I was seated right away! Wine selection was to die for. I went to Italy a few months ago, and I have to say, their food was so much better than most of the top Italian restaurant we went to in Rome. Matteo, Chef and Owner was amazing. Loved the way he presented his food and It’s amazing that he’s from Italy as well, with an awesome Italian accent! Everything was super tasty and service was to die for!
I am dairy free and gluten free and I'm used to being served meals that are basically underwhelming. My son and daughter in law selected Pino’s for my birthday dinner after the herd ABC radio show of Simon Marnie. I had low expectations...but... WOW! I would describe this dinner as nothing less than a Zen experience. Each of my courses was specially prepared with my dietary needs in mind with extraordinary care. The attention to details -- the flavors, textures - was flawless!
When it comes to Italian food, I’d rather have my families cooking EXCEPT when it comes to this restaurant. Highly recommend trying the octopus, which is over the top delicious. One of the best restaurants in the city.
Perfect ambiance with warm vintage lighting, comfortable seats and attentive wait staff.
Modern Italian style food, presented immaculately is delicious (some dishes were a tad salty for me but that’s personal preference).
Cocktails are to die for - VERY unusual cocktail menu with lots of savory ingredients that somehow work really well.
Been walking pass this place everyday and finally got the chance to try it out. It’s a really interesting place and seperate you from a modem suburb to a Italian dining bar. Love the food and you won’t get born with them. Nice selection of wines and the staffs are really helpful.
Fantastic food, the service was amazing.
A great wine list to accomplish too!
The duck was my favorite dish!!
I think we have found our new local.
An amazing hidden gem! Excellent food and service but not cheap. The pasta and veal special was sensational and possibly one of the best tiramisu I’ve ever had. Great atmosphere and easy parking. Must book in advance. Definitely will be back again. Can’t believe it’s not hatted....yet.
I was intrigued by this little suburban wine bar, driving past it daily during its fit out. Nestled relatively inconspicuously on a suburban street, you could easily miss it, but once found it's not easily forgotten. As you enter off the street via a large wooden door, the room opens into a cosy, softly lit bar with welcoming warm and familiar leather and wood finishes.
We were sat at the bar and immediately attended to by our bar waiter who kindly talked us through the menu. Maaaaan he knew it back to front! We decided on three shared entrees and one shared main. Everything was just delicious. The 7 way cauliflower was a textural wonderland, the burrata was fresh and creamy, the pork belly just melted. Yum.
There’s no doubt it was fresh produce thoughtfully curated but was a little expensive for the portion sizes. We will definitely be back to try a new season menu and hopefully we leave a little fuller because it really was delicious!
You can’t ask for much more from a neighborhood restaurant: excellent food, unusual wine list, great ambiance (and lighting - amazing how many places get this wrong!), and good service.

We have been regularly dining with Matteo and his gorgeous team of staff for over 4 years.
Pino's is like visiting a home away from home, every time we walk through the gorgeous timber doors into the restaurant, we get a feeling of welcoming and excitement for what's to come.
With family and friends across various parts of the world, we have longed to find a place that we feel honoured to take our guests to when visiting Sydney. Pino's is that place for us. We have shared some very special moments at this restaurant.
The food is authentic, ever changing (great for us as we usually stick to one favourite dish at a restaurant) and simply divine. Their wine menu is overflowing with gorgeous options, and the cocktails are simply sublime (dangerous!).
We have honestly struggled to find a restaurant like Pino's in Sydney, and feel we have found an absolute goldmine. It will continue to be a very special place to us for years to come.
Don't forget your limoncello on departure!
An authentic Italian Restaurant that will definitely give you real nostalgia. I brought my hubby here on a sunday night and we had a pleasant experience. The front of house were very welcoming and very knowledgeable about the menu. We even got complimentary food to make our night more special! The food was absolutely delicious & made my italian hubby really happy! Great way to end the week. 👌🏻
Martell and Pino's have ensured my Valentines trip from Brisbane to Sydney was a success.
Service was exquisite, food was divine, the interior was rustic and warm, last minute dietary requests were handled with ease and the wine recommendation was spot on.
Food did take a tad long at times, but we were on a special set menu in a full house.
Thank you Pino's for a great experience and I'll definitely be back.
Amazing restaurant! We had a lovely dinner here and the ambiance was amazing, service was excellent and the food was divine. Would 100% recommend to anyone who like to eat! Also a shout out to the best negroni I’ve ever had
A really good Italian restaurant. Staff was friendly. The bartender knew his drinks and wine. Had the Let the Italian feed you. You get to try different pasta. Highlight was the wagyu braised pork.
Incredible food and atmosphere. Matteo and his team do such an incredible job. A beautiful seasonal menu that always excites. Our local neighbourhood hot spot. Can't wait to visit again.

An old-school corner store on a residential street in Alexandria opens into a darkened dining room. Exposed bricks, strapped in brown leather banquettes and wooden rafters create an organic, womb-like space to nestle into for a convivial meal with family and friends.
The costly (all $25) but rewarding cocktail list at Pino's Vino e Cucina produces a few winners: Ciao Ciao takes Acho Blanco tequila somewhere light, frothy and pretty, while Smooky employs Copper Dog Whisky to make a sultry, smoky sipper. Wine mark-ups are all over the place, but the shrewd consumer is rewarded admirably with the 2020 Polperro ‘Red Hill’ Pinot Noir ($108) from the Mornington Peninsula throwing perfumed red fruits with some mystery and intrigue underneath. Get to know it with a selection of salumi ($30/2), olives ($8) and house-baked crusty, sourdough bread ($8): the mortadella is fantastic.
From the brightly lit kitchen, chef Cristiano Patacca sends out seasonal contemporary Italian dishes. Aged Comte panna cotta ($25) has retro jelly mould appeal, eating creamily against clever puffed wheat balls in a colourful beetroot and fermented persimmon sauce. Crisp potato shreds hide charred octopus tentacles ($32) on potato cream with blackened shishito peppers. A tangle of crisp mushrooms sits over ox tongue ($29)—cooked tender and beefy—polenta and corn, dusted with porcini powder. Wagyu tartare ($30), scooped out onto crisp bread. is made all the more indulgent with Avruga caviar and a bone marrow emulsion. The entree highlight however are two fat Skull Island prawns ($35) served in the shell in a decadent puddle of cognac and parsley butter that prompts us to request more bread.
Saffron strozzapreti ($32) with wagyu shin ragout it’s richness amped by a bone marrow gremolata, wins battle pasta. We punctuate the pastas with juicy zucchini trifoliate ($15) liberally dusted with smoked bottarga. We had just enough time to gobble a hay-smoked crème caramel ($18) and pay the (somewhat pricy) bill before staff bustled us onto the sidewalk to prep. for their next sitting. Two-hour table limits are back: we must finally be turning that post-pandemic corner.
