I love really authentic Italian food. And having a partner from Italy, it’s often hard to find something that comes even close to matching a truly brilliant Italian dish in Australia. However this place doesn’t exceptional job at being one of the finest Italian restaurants in Sydney. I highly recommend going here not just for the food, but for the excellent service and lovely people that run this place. Thank you for having us will be back many times more!

GOOD QUALITY FOOD AND AMBIANCE ON ICONIC OXFORD STREET Belloccio is an Italian themed restaurant on the "gay strip" of Oxford Street. Two of us dropped in (without reservation) on a Friday evening about 7 pm and were able to get a table. The restaurant is long and narrow and sort of spills out to Oxford Street which gives it a nice al fresco feel. We chose calamari and hummus dips for entree and then the greek lamb chops and seafood pasta for mains. Along with a side of chips, sparkling water and 2 glasses of wine, the bill came to $115. It's a casual restaurant which sometimes offers live music and attracts a trendy crowd. Tables are fairly well spaced and because it is so open there isn't a problem with noise levels. It has a full bar service along with a decent wine list. Wait staff are friendly and anticipatory. The restaurant is on one level so people with mobility issues should be fine. Later in the evening on weekends it's a great place for people watching... the Oxford St crowd is quite eclectic. Being Oxford St it is of course very gay-friendly .. in fact everyone-friendly!

LGBTIQ+ friendly restaurant in the heart of Oxford Street gay district with friendly and attentive staff and nice decor. The prices are a little more than average, but the meals are delicious with generous servings, but come during the week for the specials. There's live entertainment some nights of the week too, quite rare fort a restaurant these days. If you don't like street noise, ask to be at up the back away from the street. Otherwise the front is great for watching the world go by and people watching. This is an Oxford Street staple and always worth a visit.

What a great restaurant! I really enjoyed the ambiance and the food. The servers were super friendly and fun. They made recommendations on what to order and everything was delicious.. They have an extensive wine list because they have an agreement with the bottleshop close by that provides our wine as you order it. It was a unique and entertaining place to have a great meal!

Incredible service, incredible people and incredible food! Colin (owner) and chef went above and beyond to create memorable platters for my 30th birthday, although this is outside the scope of their menu (usually designed for sharing sizes of 2 people). Serving sizes were generous (agreed for 35 people, easily fed 40+) and food was delicious. It made my event memorable, and I cannot thank Colin enough for helping me out the day before my event. He got back to me within the hour, and it was ready and ordered by 7pm the day before my party. The pictures speak for themselves: 1m long vegetarian mezze platter, 1m long meat/cheese platter and chicken wings in blue cheese sauce with chilli. Would 100% order from this restaurant again for catering purposes; the food was delicious, so look forward to eating dinner here (in smaller quantities) in the near future! Thank you so much to this Colin, chefs and staff for making this a night to remember!

My husband and i up for 4 days from Melbourne and staying in Surry hills and walked past here each night and it was always busy and looked good so decided to try it on our last night here. It was fantastic ! What was meant to be a quick meal and then back to our apartment , ended up a great meal ( a delicious Parm) , excellent and real friendly waitress service (from 2 male waiters and also on occasions a female waitress) and then entertainment which was great. There was a blond female singer whose voice was actually really really good and the songs she sang were good. Then a drag queen came out singing Dusty Springfield songs full blast. So so good. It was more like going to a nightclub for us. Could not fault the whole night. Price wise, i thought they were just average prices for the meals, not over the top, and i even ordered alcohol in there which i never do at restaurants (due to the over priced prices places charge for the drinks) but it was so enjoyable sitting there i ordered some. We sat near the road side so had the best views of inside and of outside just people watching. Would definitely return if coming back to the area. Thanks for a nice night out and really good entertainment

We went there for our anniversary, the overall experience was pleasant, the owner was friendly from when we arrived and when we left. He gavr us a familiar happy feeling of a home. The waiter could be more friendly. He was serving our table as if he HAD to and he gave a strong impression that he really didn't want to be there. The food, albeit on the pricey side, is delicious. To me, it's a bit pricey to charge 4.50 or 5.0 for a glass of ALDI ginger beer. I rather not know that th we y are from ALDI. Other than that, it's a decent place. Glad to have supported the local business a bit.
