Smells amazing walking past on way to station. Have eaten here a number of times & is always good.
Great food, great ambience and excellent service! This gem is located in a laneway and has an intimate atmosphere. We arrived here late on a Friday night and despite the restaurant being full, the wait staff were quick to seat us at the bar and then accommodate us with a table.
The pizza's were really tasty and a big serving size. Definitely recommend for authentic style pizza and pasta.
Just missed the happy hour, such a good deal, almost half priced pizzas. Spewing because if I knew about it I would have left work earlier. I ordered the large meatlovers and it was enough to feed two people. The sauce was wine based which is different and surprisingly good. Would definitely return during happy hour.
This is a really yummy pizza outlet with a very authentic taste. We had the funghi pizza and the another vegetarian one, and they were both really thin, perfectly crusty and full of favour. The only downside of this place is that their pasta quantity is bleak. No problem with the flavour, but it can't even fill half my tummy.
They are located in an alley, so it's a very different experience in CBD, pretty New York style actually. Oh, and be prepared for a long wait time.
Really nice Italian style pizza. Thin crusts, and quality ingredients and toppings. The location is very convenient, right near Wynyard station (but located in a back alley).
There is a dine in section next door with a bar which is nice, but at times it can be quite busy/full. You can dine on the street and sit on milk crates for the 'original' experience.

A hidden gem within the concrete jungle of Sydney. Located in an alleyway on York Lane the atmosphere was fun and vibrant. Ordered Mamma Mia pasta and Spaghetti Marinara which both were filling and tasteful. Definitely will visit again. Great affordable italian food in the city.
Spontaneously decided on this place after being turned down by another. It's not the easiest restaurant to find, somewhat hidden in between York and Clarence.
Food wise this place is 👍🏻👍🏻🍕🍝 but there is barely no service involved at all. You will not be directed, so just find a spot and get yourself a menu from the main reception. Ordering is also a go up to the counter style.
The overall vibe is very 'bar after work with a couple of mates' feel. Very loud atmosphere with people talking over each other with a drink in their hand. I recommend going with at least one guy, all female just seems a little risky.
The pizzas here are amazing! I love that it is authentic italian pizza; so thin, crisp and full of flavour. Even better is that they do half and half flavoured pizzas (on large only). Never had a bad experience at this place and will continue to come here for their delicious pizzas. Hands down my favourite pizza place :)

Made in Italy does one of the nicer pastas in the CBD area. Their portions are quite large and less expensive when compared to other Italian chains or restaurants.

•Entree - Arancini balls
•Main - Mamma Mia
•Main - Bolognese
Very happy with my choice of pasta which was the "Mamma Mia". The Italian sausage and choice of fettuccine as my pasta selection was indeed scrumptious. The bolognese was okay for bolognese, the classic option. The slight let down was the arancini balls, I thought it would've tasted better. Can't wait to come back here to try their pizzas as I heard they are amazing!
It was very busy which is expected for Friday lunches and limited seating available. I got there and told them that I had made a reservation, I even got the booking confirmation from zomato, they told me they hadn't received any bookings. All is forgiven when the food came. We ordered the margarita pizza and the penne bosciola. Two dishes was enough for 2 people. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. Will definitely come back.
Great pizza. Haven't tried the pasta dishes but the pizza is always a hit and there is a beautiful aroma whenever you walk past the alleyway. Great for sharing with a mate in Wynyard park.
Funnily enough, online booked through zomato and got directed to the Made in Italy (Pyrmont branch), so be careful if you're expecting to go to the CBD one, since I made that booking mistake without checking. Went here with a friend on a weeknight and almost missed the hidden York Lane. Construction was going on at the time, and Made in Italy directed us to another relatively quiet room for diners, good for catching up. The waiter was really friendly in starting a conversation with us.
Ordered the pollo piza ($18) and the mamma mia ($18 - from memory we ordered this). I remember the pizza being a thin crust which I liked, no issues noted except with the chicken which was slightly too dry to swallow. The mamma mia, however, was the dish that stood out. Very simple, but the sauce balanced out with the pasta and was an all round well liked dish!
Overall, a positive experience and for the price paid and environment to chat in, it was definitely a place that would sit in my recommended book!
My favourite pizza joint! The crust is just right - thin, crispy, but not dry. Pizzas are not meant to be loaded, so I think Made in Italy puts just the right amount of topping on. Their pasta is also pretty good, generous servings.
Great places for weekend family dinner, we all had pizza and my son is the food picker but he love their pizza . The food is delicious and service is always good.
The pizzas here are extremely satisfying with a variety of flavours. The crusts were also perfect to my liking. Highly recommend this place if you are looking to satisfy your pizza cravings
working late hours best place to go is made in italy for pizza. tucked away in a little alleyway near wynyard station this pizza joint has been my go to place whenever i have to burn the midnight oil at work. the pizza is amazing, the crust and bread parts are nice and crispy and the taste is pretty amazing compared to your average pizza franchises. best ones are suprema and australiana imo.
Whenever we visit cities in Australia we try to find a great pizza place to relax and enjoy some slices. I took the family to Sydney for a weekend away and after some research we settled on Made In Italy - it was a brisk walk from the hotel but worth it. The atmosphere is boisterous without being deafening - lots of fun. The staff were brilliant, a great balance of humour and irreverence mixed with passion and professionalism. The pizza arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious. We left satisfied but without feeling bloated like some pizza places can cause. We even tried to go back the next night for more but they were closed @ 7pm on a Saturday?! It might have been because the Vivid festival was on though. Thoroughly recommend to any pizza lovers.
I was after a quick easy meal in the vicinity of Wynyard Station and spotted Made in Italy located down York Lane. I found it to fast, tasty and reasonably priced 😊

Yum yumm...got the Americano from their takeaway shop .... told would be a 15 minute wait....I come after 15 minutes and there they are packing my pizza straight from the oven...what a pleasant pleasant sight in a rainy day ! Everything as mentioned before goes uphill from there . If you love thin crispy crust fresh pizza this place is for you...
In the city on a Friday night near wynyard area and my friends and I decided to go to Made in Italy. We ordered a made in Italy pizza (tomato sauce, onion, mushrooms, artichokes, grilled eggplant, anchovies, olives, mozzarella cheese, oregano, parmesan, garlic), a gamberi pizza and Mamma Mia gnocchi (Italian sausage,mushrooms, garlic, parmesan, cream & chilli in a napoletana sauce & parsley). The gnocchi was superb. We even finished all the sauce.
The pizzas were good except for the anchovies being a bit salty.
Cute little Italian takeaway joint tucked away in York Lane. Food was fresh, fast and authentic. I ordered the spaghetti bolognese and was not disappointed. Will definitely be back!

Located in York Lane, and sort of hidden away is Made In Italy. We’ve been ordering pizzas from MIT in the office for a while now and never figured to head in, til a bar hopping night led me past this (we were at York Lane) and MIT looked kind of neat so we dropped in for a couple of lunches. The funniest thing about the MIT visit is just how busy the laneway was considering where it was. The hour we were there, it was buzzy the whole time. Its sort of a whole in a wall with the shop front facing into what is basically a laneway/transport thoroughfare. But look at all the people. So this is what they look like at night. This is when we chanced upon them. There’s a few tables and seating. But expect limited seating and milk crates with low tolix styled stools The MIT delivery scooter The MIT basicola pasta. Michael decided to go with the delicious meat lovers pizza and extra chilli flakes, I personally would have liked if they put more chilli because it was quite tame. Everything else about the pizza turned out pretty awesome especially for those who love their meat, the salami was a highlight. Gamberi My pick was the gamberi with extra chilli flakes, this is an awesome combination of delicious prawns and spicy chilli.
We came here looking for a place to have dinner not far from home. We would have missed of it weren't for a guy leaving the lane with a pizza box! We had dinner there at the lane, like in the Disney movie Lady and the tramp. We ordered two pizzas, one Australiana and one Capricciosa, both thin and with a great tomato sauce. I prefered the Capricciosa (I was expecting the egg in the Australiana to be served as in Italy and not like in an egg roll). Service was kind and fast. Overall, a good experience.
Brilliant Italian food at a bargain. I had the mamma Mia pasta which was fabulous. The location of this food joint is discreet.
Amazing pizzas. Ordered for the office here through Menulog - pizzas were delivered fast and hot.. The crust is one of the best I've seen outside of Italy with such smoky flavours and it almost took me back to Florence

Delicious Thin Pizza. There's nowhere to sit but who cares? The pizza is crusnchy. delicious and cheap, right by Wynyard station. Great for a quick bite after a small bar hop.
Fantastic Pizza. Delicious thin-based pizza in a somewhat tiny lane, extremely busy especially during lunchtime hours, so come early or order by phone before coming in. Sit on the crate and build your own table with the crates to maximise your dining experience.
Tricolore pizza and pesto penne. YES. thank you for an *affordable* and *delicious* lunch that no where else offers within a 5min walking distance!!! Thin pizza bases with perfect amount of fresh tasty toppings, pasta is always aldente, pesto is creamy and indulgently oily, obviously bad for your health but your tastebuds want more! Too bad there is very limited seating, but many takeaway to eat in their air-con offices anyway.
Amazingly crisp pizza bases, perfectly cooked pastas and lots of choices. Gets very busy on Friday at lunch time so ring in advance to order. Margarita pizza, gnocchi gorgonzola and gnocchi arrabiata are my favourites. My go-to Italian restaurant in the CBD
