One of the best vibes in the city and def my favourite restaurant to get my Caribbean fix. Food is packed with flavour and the cocktails never disappoint! The Jerk wings (bomb), Caribbean curry, bbq beef short ribs and jerk chicken baos are my go-to dishes.
Staff are so friendly and always in positive spirits. Highly recommend Rosie’s for date nights with your s/o or a fun night out w friends. We were a group of 8 girls over the weekend and we couldn’t have chose a better place post-isolation! The music, decor and island-vibe ambiance brings me back to my vacations down in the Caribbean, as I grew up in Canada.

Visited here a few weeks ago. Has a very strong pub feel. But more chilled and better music which makes up for the lack of Rastafarians and loud noises from other patrons!
We had the jerk chicken wings, calamari, squid, ceviche, ribs, the "whole" jerk chicken and rice and peas. Taste wise everything was bloody good. Spicy but not overly spicy. And it came out so freaking fast from the kitchen!
The Downside; really minute portion size. I really mean minute. Hence why we ordered a lot!
I also had the coco colada cocktail. Really nice and did come in a coconut cone!
Overall it's an enjoyable joint to chill, drink and eat. Staff were professional and enjoyably entertaining. Don't come too hungry though!

Loved the vibe of this place. Food was good and atmosphere was crazy Rastafarian Maaan. But seriously if you’re out for a good time and good feed. This place certainly ticks boxes. Prices could be better but only so slightly
I have been here twice now. On both occasions I absolutely loved the food, the decor and the drinks. The atmosphere makes me feel happy. Definitely coming back for more. The jerk chicken is worth dying for. The coco colada and the rude boy rum punch are both amazing drinks.

This place is incredible. We got the beef meatballs and signature chicken dish, our friends also got the ribs and chicken & waffles and they loved their meals too. Good service, decent pricing and the food came out at a timely manner.

There was a group 4 of us who had booked dinner on a busy saturday night. I was amazed by the food. I didn't think it would blow my mind but it did. I loved the chilli lime prawns, slow cooked meats and omg the banoffee pie!!!! That was on another level. The service was perfect. I cant wait to come back here. I honestly enjoyed it so much. Keep doing what you are doing guys. Thank you !

A Taste of Jamaica....
Ok, so I have never been to Jamaica nor do I know what Jamaicans eat so my review is based on quality and presentation :)
We ordered the:
-Bunny Wailer Burger with Jerk Sauce and Chips
-Jerk Fries
-Toots Fish Tacos
and two other dishes that I can't remember the names of...
So the food was of great quality. The chef did a great job with containing the flavor of the meal. All diners were happy. I personally had the Burger with Jerk Sauce and Fries. For a vegetarian meal and I AM NOT a vegetarian, the burger was absolutely delicious. WOW. The Jerk Sauce was spicy and gave an extra kick and flavor to the burger. The ambiance and atmosphere was terrific and the restaurant is set out as a way how I would a Jamaican restaurant is set out (referencing Cool Running's :-))
My only negativity are the following:
- The presentation of the food is what I would say how you would receive food when you eat at Westfields food court. I also blog on Instagram: a_guide_for_your_appetite I tried to make the photos as nice as I can but I was really struggling.
- Please install an aircon or two as man it was hot in there.
- The seats.... have you sat on these?
Though I gave it a score of 3.5, I would like to visit this restaurant again to try the chicken dishes as I heard this is their signature dishes.
JAMAICAN ME CRAZY!! YAH MAN! For the funkiest tunes, AH-MAZING staff and lip shmacking nibbles with a twist, head in to Rosie Campbell's with friends for a wicked night!! Their mac and cheese is in my top 5 and their cocktails are really unique (best twist on an espresso martini!!!)
This is a great place for a fun Friday night cocktail.
We had a mix of dishes to share for food and the cocktail of the week. The food was really good, and good for sharing with a group. The cocktails were delicious, and at a similar cost to most in the area. Overall a pretty good night!
Awesome girls night/date spot! Some girlfriends and I went in for cocktails and some snacks before a night out- Good balance of meat vs vegetarian dishes (which can be hard to find sometimes) and the cocktails were lush- especially the coco colada's!! I had little to-no knowledge on rum prior to dining here, and left with a great appreciation of it! The Mango Rum was my favourite (for a first time-er!) Tunes were epic, and the live reggae was a surprise, so that was a bonus, and the staff were super cute & quirky. We will be back Rosie's!
Fun atmosphere and friendly service although different waitresses keep coming up asking you if you want anything else two minutes after you've just been asked. Food is good if a little expensive

You couldn't ask for a more relaxed vibe to enjoy some killer cocktails and tasty Caribbean fare. Staff are friendly and attentive and this place is perfect for dinner or a late night drink.
Ribs are great! Atmosphere is awesome, lots of authentic Jamaican style things placed around the restaurant. Great place to eat and drink, with good reggae music some nights as well.
Jerk Chicken is TO DIE FOR!! You get a feel for the atmosphere as soon as you walk in the door. A crazy amount of rums to choose from and a super yummy cocktail menu! Service and vibe were awesome and my friends had a blast! Can't wait to get back.
Rosie Campbell's is a cheerful joint on Crown Street serving up Jamaican eats. We covered a fair bit of the menu for lunch. Most dishes were a riot of intense flavours, all delicious. Best eats were the jerk chicken, the oxtail braised in beer and sweet potato fries. I also liked the fish baked in banana leaf but this was a more delicate flavour which some people found bland. We also had tender squid encased in a crisp salt and pepper batter, the sunshine slaw which was mostly mayo, the indulgent mac and cheese and the dirty rice which was surprisingly bland. I really enjoyed our lunch at RC and would return for the rest of the menu. Service was friendly though there was a bit of wait for some dishes despite few tables being occupied. Great place for large groups as there are long tables in the centre.

Came here today for lunch on a very balmy afternoon. Heard all about their jerk wings and wanted to try it for myself. What all this jerk wings were all about?
It was pretty quiet when we entered the restaurant/bar.
The bar had that true laid back Caribbean feeling with funky decor, and bright blue walls that just made you feel like you've walked into some holiday resort.
The service was prompt, and later when the food was served the waiter came Anne check to see if everything was ok, which is a nice touch, and not too intrusive.
We ordered their jerk wings half bucket and grilled jerk chicken to share, which was enough for us and we found the food to be quite heavy. The chicken wings were nice and had that nice touch of spice but found the grill chicken sauce to be a little salty. Wasn't a great fan of that. The chicken wing was nice and fun getting your hands dirty. They also bought out those KFC napkins to wipe your hands with, after you finish the wings.
This place would be a fun place to come for drinks and snack rather than having a proper meal. Every Tuesday evening, they have half price chicken bucket. A good excuse to head out on a school night.
Went in just after a new chef started so the menu had changed a little bit, but what I tried (soft shell crab roll) was ridiculously good. Not too crabby 😂 loved the wasabi mayo and brioche bun.

The cocktails were great also, I had a Hemingway Daiquiri and a Montego Bay Punch (pictured), both were really lovely and presented beautifully. Our server was really great but lost 1.0 cause it took a while for the drinks to get to us, but that's my only negative!
My favourite part about this place is the decor! The records, palm trees and pictures remind me of being on a beach somewhere in South America, i love it!!!

This place is gorgeous. Visually pleasing, great tunes and delicious selection of drinks and mouthwatering Carribean style meals.
The Rum menu in this place is astonishing. The cocktails are stunning, very refreshing and full of flavour. Whilst you enjoy your drinks, a gentleman in the corner casually spins reggae tunes. A ginormous Erykah Badu mural graces the wall.
The food is for anyone and everyone. We had burgers with a few sides including the famous Mac n Cheese which is worth the hype. Really yummy. To top it off, the service was great. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Love this place.
What do you get when you have two sides? Well if it's lunch at Rosie Campbell's, it's a massive meal.
I'd heard about the mac 'n cheese and had to try it for myself. Looks can be deceiving and the small bowl of golden, crunchy panko topped mac 'n cheese was bigger than it looked. The accompanying side of Irie Greens was a big plate of roasted, spiced zucchini and cauliflower with crispy kale and peanuts.
Great service from our waitress, with all nine meals for our group brought out in quick succession. She also happily accommodated split payment for the meal.
The colourful decor and breezy ambience will transport you to the tropics, even if it's just for your lunch break.
We really enjoyed our lunch here. We had wonderful corn fritters and the crab is huge, the atmosphere was casual and relaxing and we really enjoyed the reggae but maybe could have done with out the rap.
Cocktails! The cocktails are to die for! Unexpected but totally awesome and very deserving of a review. Had a wonderful evening here with some girlfriends recently. The venue is chilled and really fun, the perfect place to catch up with mates and have a few cheeky drinks. My favourite thing was the cocktails (suprise suprise) but they really are delish. The staff are all super friendly and it's nice to find such a chilled out holiday vibe in Surry Hills. The tunes are awesome too. Safe to say, I'll be making this joint a regular thing.

When I heard the owners of Soda Factory was opening a Jamaican place, I was instantly excited!
When entering the restaurant, you instantly feel like you've been transported to the Caribbean. The interiors was great! Looked like a lot of fun just to be in there. I loved the big mural on the wall!
As with any Jamaican restaurant, the Jerk spices made its way around the menu. I ended up with the Jerk chicken burger and a few entrees. They were quite tasty. The main for us was the drinks menu :) I was very impressed by the variety of cocktails and the assortment of rum they had.
The staff was very friendly and helpful as we needed recommendations on the rum choices.
What an interesting Jamaican pub! I really enjoyed the 'jerk' cuisine - the chicken wings are the winner and the fries so addictive. Pork dumplings are worth a try, but I wouldn't go for seconds of the mac & cheese. The cocktail menu's extensive, with my crew's absolute favourite being the coco colada (rum, coconut, pineapple and banana goodness).
Real good vibe as soon as you enter the place. Decor is on point with some nice little surprises! Service is real good and the food is even better. Would recommend to anyone after a nice feed with some good beats to accompany it, whether it be at lunchtime or the evening. Will definitely be visiting again!
I went to Rosie's on Friday night with a bunch of friends. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The vibes were totally on and the food to die for! Seriously no wonder the place was completely full by 7pm! People kept on coming one after the other and leaving with smiles from ear to ear. I would recommend this place to anyone who want to have a good time!

The jerk chicken wings, ceviche King fish and Mac 'n cheese are all great share dishes with finger licking punchy flavours!
Staff are all gorgeous and very attentive.
Great choice of music. The volume got turned up a little higher than I felt comfortable talking over at 7 a but everyone else seemed to find this ok.

Staying around the corner from here, thought we'd pop in late at night. Had an awesome time! We had a few cocktails each, all of which were superb. We ordered some chips, which were really small but the seasoning was incredible. As we were having such a good time, we thought we would get a rum cake dessert, which was a little overpriced, but quality. All in all had a great night here for a few hours. Service was excellent.

I felt so lucky to be invited to experience Rosie Campbell's as a part of their opening week. The food is a welcomed breath of fresh air for the Sydney bar market. Fruity cocktails, light and fresh corn fritters, amazing jerk chicken sliders and sweet potato fries support the Caribbean meets NY uber chic establishment.
Had an absolutely delicious Lunch here. The Suban sandwich and the corn fritters we an absolute highlight of the meal. We also had the dumplings, slaw salad, sliders and sweet potato chips which were also yummy. The vibe in this place is awesome and I'd definitely recommend for a group dinner or a few cheeky after work drinks.

Great Jamaican vibes in this place - reggae music, rum cocktails, jerk spice & coconut flavoured rice. As you step in, you feel like you have just gone on a mini-holiday to the Caribbean.
Awesome atmosphere to catch up with friends for some rum & fun - we all quite enjoy Jamaican music and culture, so this was a perfect fit for the 4 of us for a pleasant evening listening to music we love, and eating delicious shareable food. (we also had to Shazam a couple of times, such great tunes even on a Monday night!)
The only downside though, is that the meal sizes could be slightly bigger for the prices set ($18 for grilled jerk chicken - we were expecting a lot of chicken however there were only a few pieces, disappointing!) And overall all the menu items are priced quite high, compared to the other great Jamaican joint nearby (Queenies) which offer generous amount of servings and delicious Jerk meals as well.
The food IS good here, outstanding dishes for me were the Beer Braised Oxtail ($17) with delicious coconut rice, and the Corn Fritters ($13). For cocktails, the Coco Colada ($18) is pretty damn good, and presented in a coconut. For something very sweet but also quite alcoholic, go with Rosie's Estate ($17) which looks small but will get you pretty smashed after a few sips! The sweetness in this cocktail though makes it quite drinkable, but not drinkable for people who hate the taste of alcohol - its quite strong!
Overall I think the atmosphere of this place is great, very friendly staff and fast service (the night was quiet so not sure how the service is on a busy night) If we had to choose between Queenies & Rosie Campbells though, truthfully we'd have to go with Queenies just for quantity of food you get for what you pay. We'd come here again though if the food wasn't so pricey, so hopefully soon the prices either drop, or add more jerk in the dish!! Thumbs up for the taste & atmos, thumbs down for the poor meal size.
Was having a great time. Good rum, good fun and good burgers. Only complaint was that they cut fresh prince of bel air short when it came on...4 wasabi peas.
Loved this place! My cardinal rule of dining out is ‘never get the banquet’. We got the banquet and I was delighted. The food pictured is between every two people, so there was a truckload. And it was so flavoursome and delicious; and flavours which were super original. Prices are a bit less than you’d expect for central Surry Hills but not a bargain gain. But for what you get I feel like it’s a deal. Staff are excellent, good looking, delightful, professional. Definitely five stars from my perspective.
Amazing joint to experience some Caribbean cuisine. The store has a nice and vibrant atmosphere and there are live music being played on certain nights. Definitely recommend booking a head as there is limited seating. The cocktails and food was amazing there and it’s well worth trying their signature dish. Definitely flavourful and plays with your palette.
First time trying Caribbean food and it was amazing! Ordered three big dishes and two smaller ones between four people and it was perfect. Highlight dishes was the blackened fish, famous jerk chicken and crab tacos!
Their cocktail jugs are also great and good for sharing!
Food is great, hospitable staff - loved the food flavours and mocktails but didn’t really like the vibe. There was something off about the ambiance which I clearly couldn’t figure out (maybe it was just me). We were asked to add in tip while paying bill which doesn’t make sense because the food item prices are already above average. Please don’t normalise this tipping culture here when fair wage is already established. I wouldn’t go there again, good luck.
Amazing food, cocktails and service. Great vegan options, came for one evening whilst visiting Sydney and am so glad we did. Much better food and service than the restaurants around the Sydney Harbor. Live music was a great touch and staff made us feel very welcome.
There are three important things you need to know before attending Rosie Campbell's:
1. Live music Wednesdays and Saturdays, although the play list is top 🔝🔝🔝
2. The "World Famous Chargrilled Jerk Chicken" is amazing, don't hesitate and go for it.
3. There are so but so many rum options in this place... be adventurous, try as many as your strong body can afford, you won't be disappointed.
Was recommended by a friend here and Rosie Campbell's did not disappoint.
The ambience and feel of the bar is upbeat and fun, the staff are attentive and service is incredibly quick.
The food is wonderful! Had the jerk chicken, which is a must try along with the fritters.
Best to book ahead as this small but popular bar was full by 7pm.
