Review Pho Hanoi Pho - Sydney

A great place to eat a real North Vietnamese Phó (not many of them around). Very delicious and the service is superb. The girl even remembers most people's orders Have been treating ourselves with their food for over 6 years now and never disappointed.

Bright and fragrant beef pho in the Northern Vietnamese style. Quality fresh ingredients. Definitely going back to try more from the menu. Cash only.

Reasonably priced local pho, my main disappointment is the limited variety and quantity of herbs served alongside it: one lonely branch of Thai basil, and no Vietnamese mint or sawtooth coriander. They are cash only but I was able to do a bank transfer because I didn't have any cash on me.

Since my partner and I moved to Glebe we have been going to Pho Hanoi weekly like a family tradition. I would say beef Pho here is best of the best Pho (Northern Vietnam style). It’s so good and I’m worried I can’t find any alternative Pho restaurants in Hanoi or even in the world as good as it here. Besides, staff and the restaurant owners are super friendly. They remember exactly what we want and has ordered in the past. Amazing service!!

Best Pho in the inner west. Cash only, so make sure you bring some, also BYO. Their spring rolls are so nice and fresh too!

This is the only restaurant that has ever moved me to write a review. Everything about it is absolutely perfect, from the colourful plastic chairs to the empty photo frames stuck to the walls. Perfect place to sit and watch the world go by and think about the delicious meal you are enjoying. ate what I think is the best chicken pho of my entire life here. 5 stars and I mean that with every fibre of my being

Vietnamese cuisine at its best, with very friendly staff. For the price it is one of the "stand out", small, restaurants in the area. They will cater for Vegan diet. I recommend you try the vegetarian fried rice...

The chicken omelette/crepe was delicious and crunchy. I’ve never had this before so was happily surprised at the taste. The salt and pepper squid wasn’t that great very frozen fishy tasting. The rice was delicious and the pork belly was ok. Overall I don’t think I’d go back but not the worst I’ve had.

I had my lunch twice here. If I knew the crispy chicken was fried chicken I wouldn't order it and it's not crispy to be honest. I had crispy chicken in Marrickville before, that one was roasted chicken with crispy skin, I thought that's what a crispy chicken should be like. However, the portion here was not bad with reasonable price. But the food was just average, no amzing seasoning or special cooking style, just a normal Vietnamese restaurant that can feed you when you are hungry.

There’s not much that’s more satisfying than a pho on a cold night. And there isn’t anything more disappointing than our experience at PHP in Glebe. First the two spring rolls that did oddly look very different. Queried it. The young man said it’s because they are fried rice paper rolls. The first bite confirmed that the oil drenched ‘five shades darker’ roll was more than once fried. A massive disappointment but we brushed that aside expecting the pho would be the star of the show. Sadly not. The pho was an even bigger disappointment. A broth with no depth of flavour, density or the aroma of a broth let’s a pho down like no other ingredient can. It’s the heart and soul of a pho that was wrong. Having ordered the special beef pho the steamed and rare beef could certainly have been consistently thick rather than various thicknesses that then doesn’t allow the meat to tenderise evenly in a broth. And for all of that to happen, the broth needs to be hot which sadly this wasn’t. <br/>Probably not one of PHP’s best nights I guess but then if you are primarily a ‘pho show’ and can’t be consistent, it’s best that one chooses to ‘no show’ than settle for mediocrity. We really looked forward to this visit which sadly was our first and the last.

it is awesome! The food is not as oil as some other restaurants’ and not that salty! I love it! The beef noodle soup tastes fresh and delicious! I will visit there next time!<br/><br/>OMG I love it badly! Haha I visit this restaurant every week. I am too busy now because of the final exams, but when I am tired at uni I always want to have the beef noodle soup. I hope one day I can eat it in the University. Maybe because I am chinese and the beef noodle soup tastes the same in my home country. there are some difference but not too much. If you are from eastern country and do not like the food with too much oil I really recommend you to have a try here!

Pho wasn’t too bad.<br/>Crispy skin chicken was not what I would come to expect - it was deep fried chicken - which doesn’t really work.<br/>Tofu and vegetable stir fry was pretty good.<br/>It’s a no frills kinda place, with cheap and cheerful prices, but it’s not somewhere I will be going to regularly.<br/>The staff here are very warm and friendly.<br/>

My comfort food! I eat here a lot (almost once a week 😅), and the pho never dissappoint! I feel that a lot of asian food in Australia is has been localized, way too mild, not enough spice and depth! And not enough restaurant which serve a flavorful bowl of clear soup, not cream soup which makes me throw up😫 Pho Hanoi pho statisfies both criteria, and it's $12 for a BIG bowl of pho! Service and atmosphere is so-so, but the pho and the fact that there's nothing I found that came close to it in terms of taste and price is enough to give me 4.5 star

Enjoyable local. The pho is nice and simple. Service is quick once you are in but be sure to make yourself known to staff else they'll seat the first person they see at the door. It can get a little busy during in the evening rush as it is quite small.

Big fan of this place, I live nearby and go often, it's the best pho I've had in Syney, makes to my top 5 pho's I've had EVER! cheap, delicious packed full of flavour and to top it off, service is always good and friendly, highly recommended for those who enjoy Vietnamese food as much as I do!

I love this place. The staff are so lovely and the crispy chicken with rice or vegetable noodle soup are my usual choices either take away or eat in. Affordable and fresh.

Had a great mid week dinner here with hubby. I had the prawn salad and he the pho. He's a pho critic but have his a strong 3.75 (would have cracked 4.0 if had an extra large size). Busy little place. It's almost 730pm on a Wednesday night and not a spare seat, so come early! We also got the Vietnamese pankcake which was the BEST one we've had! 👍🏼

I have now been here dozens of times and am so glad to have a quality Vietnamese dining option in Glebe... I usually cannot go past the beef pho but have graduated to most of their menu... <br/>Delicious <br/>Generous <br/>Affordable <br/>Quick <br/>Satisfying <br/>Definitely a Street Food Winner <br/>XOX
Those Who Love To Eat
I can tell this little Vietnamese joint is a local hit. I was taken here by a local and I guess I can see why it is so popular with the Glebe populace. Given that it was a wet Saturday and the rain is coming down horizontally, people are still willing to make their way here. <br/>Not because of the way this restaurant looks, but more for the food it serves. Nothing fancy, but honest wholesome yumness. I love how their menu was not cluttered with choices, but rather a concise menu, making choosing what to eat much easier.<br/>The venue is quite small and you would miss it, if you weren't looking for it. The decor is simple with no outstanding features and the service, as you would expect prompt and succinct. Though brownie points for the fact that, if you asked for something, in this case, a sauce dish, it was delivered promptly. <br/>We ordered the beef pho, perfect for a soggy and cold Saturday in Sydney. Though tasty, I felt like there was something missing, not quite sure what? I still enjoyed it never the less. Fresh prawn rice paper rolls and pork/prawn spring rolls with mashrooms. All was just yummy. <br/>If you want a cheap eat in Glebe and feel like some wholesome Asian food. I would recommend this place! Their pho which is seen in the picture was only $9.50 and their rice paper rolls are about $2 each! Bargain for a meal out. Their portion size is quite generous as well. All the more reasons to come and visit this place, and see why is a favourite for the locals. Next time, I might come and road test their other stuff. Will be back, when in Rome for a cheap eat in Glebe and hankering for Vietnamese comfort food.

You'll be surprised how good the pho is in this humble Glebe venue. Some of the best and most honest beef noodle soup in this area. The decor is more homey than fancy, but it just adds to the charm. Worth a taste and cheap to boot!

Pho Beef was ok. Had a strong aniseed fast compared to other places. Serving size is quite generous for the price. My partner ordered the Vietnamese pancake. Plenty of salad inside making vey delicious. Seem to be very popular dish among the diners there. Only draw back would be it's slightly oily.

The only eatery around here that opens on Sunday. We like the down to earth decor and the simple menu. The food is also priced very reasonably. <br/><br/>Ordered the perk chop, bbq beef and lemon grass beef and chili. All the dishes we ordered are prepared fresh. They take a while to prepare so please expect 15 minutes or so wait time. <br/><br/>All the dishes are delicious. The pork chop can use more spice or marinated longer. To balance that strongly recommend you tried their satay chili sauce which is divine. The portions are quite generous.<br/><br/>Bottom line : Great food. Great service. Great value.<br/>

This place is magic delighted that it had opened. The pho is clear and tasty and the rice paper rolls are fresh and tasty. Lovely staff and a great cheap eat.

The city has got a Vietnamese joint, its in glebe. Pho Hanoi Pho is the name of it and it has one of the best pho in town, it also has a variety of other dishes which are also delicious😋

A much troubled location. This shop front has changed hands more than the Australian Prime Ministership. It is the Defence Against The Dark Arts teacher of Glebe food joints. But considering the speed and quality of Pho Hanoi Pho, I'm hoping the curse stops here.

This place is so great! The dishes are simple, authentic, and delicious!<br/>Each dish is served in very generous portions and presented beautifully with a keen attention for detail & the price food is priced so economically!<br/>Beef pho is divine, and there is a great veggie pho option (which is so hard to find in Sydney!) Also the veggie Bun is delicious (I have a lot more dishes left to try! )<br/>The staff are so friendly & are getting better & better at dealing with the huge crowds, even though they are still very new to Glebe!<br/>So happy to have good vietnamese in the neighbourhood!

Good solid pho. The broth is clean and flavorful without the lingering aftertaste that you get from poor quality pho. Definitely coming back here again the next time I'm craving pho!
