Everything is absolutely delicious!!!
Had some time to kill in Darlinghurst so decided to give this little gem a go. Literally everything on the menu sounded delicious, but I settled on a dulce de leche donut and coffee. The coffee was pretty good, and the donut's inside was super tasty. Can't wait to return and try some more
Coffee was amazing!! And what a treat to have a basket of fresh pão de queijo at a reasonable price!! The waiters are bubbly and friendly. I highly recommend!
So, really I should have taken a photo of the crowds. Ever since Ovo Café opened up in Oxford Square, there have been crowds. And then they expanded and made the space bigger with the renovation of the whole shopping complex. And it’s even more crowded than before. On Sunday, I passed by at 2pm, when I thought the lunchtime trade would be over and there was literally 20 people lined up. It was like an event was happening there.
The cafe (or eatery for that matter) for authentic home cooked Brazilian food! I mean, where else in Sydney you can get steak with rice and black beans, feijoada and its 'trimmings' or traditional side dishes, or in my case; Moqueca. The fish had bite, soup was cooked well, and the farofa gave the dish an interesting texture when mixed with the soup and rice. To top if of, all of the staff are Brazilians, so it's the real deal. And they're friendly! Highly recommend this place to foodies! Table could be hard to get so you may have to write your name at the waiting list. Worth it though!
My first time with Brazilian food, and it is amazing. Highly recommend the coxinha. It’s savoury, creamy and flavourful. We also got the beans and pork stew, serving is huge and recommend to share if youre a light eater.
Reasonably priced and fast service. Would love to come back again.

Best place for cake and desserts in Surry Hills, hands down! I always thought that Brazilian food was just meat but this place has a huge range of traditional dishes. I’ve been many times and there’s always something new to try that’s equally delicious.
I asked my workmate turned friend who is Brazilian if she had any recommendations of Brazilian food spots. She mentioned this place and they were offering buffet breakfast. I was so intrigued after she showed me photos of the food they offer that I invited my friends and my husband to try this place. For 25 dollars, it was definitely worth it. I love that the buffet breakfast served cakes and dulce de leche, yogurts with fruit, juices and coffee, eggs and chorizo, etc. But, the highlights for me were the brownies, the yellow cake and the cheese bread. The waiter was quick to serve and showed us how the buffet works. I was so impressed with their food range that I went back after a few months. They did offer a different range of cakes but, the rest were the same. I recommend coming to this place. If you do not want to go for the buffet, they do have a sit down menu.
Came here for a real brazilian lunch and thats what we got!
We both ordered the feseida ( not sure if thats is correct spelling but is pronunced fesh-wada) which is a traditional brazilian lunch.
It came nicely laid out with rice, salsa, kale, and a big bowl of beans, choziro, beef and pork and the flavour was lovely, takes me back to the trip to brazil trip i did!!
Will be coming back again for this one!
Tried the Acai breakfast and it was really fresh. Friendly staff and good presentation of food. Happy and highly recommend this place.......

This Brazilian upstart is more of an acquired taste as it doesn't operate like a traditional cafe but more like a hotel buffet for the morning rush before resorting back to the traditional formula
The service is excellent with warm smiles and friendly service all around. The food itself is good and centered around Brazilian traditional recipes.
We dropped in on a Tuesday morning. Oilá no crowd.
The prices are amazing really, $7.50 for a full egg and cheese burger. I had their acai muesli which was quite refreshing in its lustrous semi frozen purple puddle. Coffee decent.
If you're passing here - and I do t suppose that's likely - give Ovo a try.
Great atmosphere. Came here for brunch and noticed they had a buffet for about $23 pp. We didn't end up going for it as we were craving a little more than the usual continental style buffet with scrambled eggs. Mister got a big breakfast which was amazingly generous, Brazilian arancini. Yes.
And I got the smashed avocado with a fantasticly generous serving of bacon and gorgeous fresh tomatoes.
Good coffee, good food. There's no wonder there's always a line here.

I don't tends to go to Brazilian restaurants/cafe as I always thoughts the foods are prodominently emphasized with meat dishes. However upon looking at the menu there were quite a few vegie options and the counter had array of sweets displayed which looked so delicious. Later I realised they serve brasilian breakfast baffet at $23 pp. Foods looked great although it is kind of like continental breakfast with lots of sweets & patries options. I ordered cold pressed juice which was absolutely fantastic. Better tasting juice than other brands I had tried before. For breakfast I got a breakfast brioche which includes scrambled eggs, haloumi & spinich. This dish was great, quite a big serving dish well cooked ingredients and put together really well. I was very full half of the way eating this. I finished with a piccolo which they use the grounds beans. Coffee was also really nice! Better than I had in the Grounds 😊. Service was friendly and prompt. I think their food is very well priced considering its located in Darlinghurst. I would come back to try other dishes next time!!
Ovo cafe is probably one of the best places I ran to for my morning coffee when I was studying in Darlinghurst. The coffee never disappointed and the food was always full of flavours. They have a great range of healthy foods on the menu and the salads on display always made my mouth water. They tasted even better than what I'd imagine.
By the third visit, I became really good friends with the manager, he always remembered what I want and made the coffee for me before I ordered it. Absolutely love this place!
U know what this place was going to get the worse review ever we had been waiting for our food for an hour we had ordered 4 main dishes, but thankfully we were looked after received some entrees and dessert on the house. The manager personally came to say they were sorry this had been the busiest they had ever been in 3yrs. All the dishes they brought out had so much flavour one of best authentic Brazilian restaurants, in he end ended up redeeming itself with the taste of each plate. I cannot get over how delicious and authentic the dishes were. The steak was cooked to perfection, melted in your mouth. Even the beans which I'm not a fan of at all was delicious to my surprise as it did not look appealing at all. Huge fan of the place just not the wait.
The best authentic Brazilian Style PF or Prato Feito ( Brazil's blue plate special ) in Sydney. The top quality picanha ( filet steak ) is cooked to perfection and accompanied by greens salad, deep fried tapioca, vinagrette, feijoada and farofa. For an added special touch the PF is served on a wooden cutting board!!! Great personalized service is offered from the team at Ovo cafe! On offer is also traditional style Brazilian appetizers such as pao de queijo ( cheese balls), coxinhas ( chicken drumstick ) and delicious deserts such as pudim de doce de leite ( Flan ) and brigadeiro ( a round candy made of chocolate and condensed milk ). And don't forget about the Brazilian cafezinho!!! I'm lucky to live just across the road... All my friends are happy campers when invited to catch up for a meal at Ovo!!! 👍
A little piece of Rio in Darlinghurst. Perhaps the most authentic & certainly the best value Brazilian restaurant in Sydney with plenty of healthy choices.
Good food, great coffee but can get very busy and so noisy it becomes unbearable.
It ticks all the boxes! Great food, coffee, atmosphere and price! One of my favourite French toast ever! :-)
Their food is always fresh and yummy with big variety for all tastes! Besides Brazilian treats, they offer taste, clean, healthy and also vegetarian food. The staff has been offering their best at all time and I cannot agree to previous comments at all as I have always been well served by everyone at Ovo! It is definitely a place to eat at anytime!

Came to Sydney for a holiday, ended up eating here every day. Food was always great and the customer service was brilliant, the staff knew our orders by the second day.
