Authentic udon and reasonable prices
Very chaotic for Thursday night dinner time, so it was hard to grab a spot. I got a regular size Tenkomori Spicy as vase for $7.90. Even that on it’s own is already a decent size meal & bargain for the price. But then this place is as much about the add on’s as the ramen. Both the takoyaki & Karaage chicken were ok, probably a bit pricey vs the ramen. The ramen was very flavoursome & definitely fine to have on it’s own next time.
Best ramen place in the city. Very cheap and worth your money. Food comes fast. Tables are hard to find but there are lots of other tables from restaurants in the same area (it is an open area).

i’m a regular at this restaurant, it is convenient as it’s close to town hall station and the food is a good price and is so good. regent place is usually busy so there’s not a lot of seating.
I was passing this joint few times but never tried and I amazed this place offer affordable ramen. I had large plain spicy ramen only cost me $7 plus 2 add-ons fried stuff and coca cola it cost me $16. Ramen quite good, my spicy ramen broth not too thick but flavoursome, noodles al dente, my fried stuff; fish cake good, karage good also. At least if i need cheap eats in CBD i know where to go.
This dry Ontama Chili🌶 Pork Udon 🍜 at Tenkomori Ramen House is one of the best udon dishes in Sydney. All the ingredients on the plate are perfectly prepared and flavour combination is spot on. Arigato for bringing such a great dish! I give this udon dish 5 bears.
quick n easy meal in the city, much appreciated from me at least as my friends decided to partake in eating hungry jacks... only thing is you can’t pick up the rice with chopsticks (or maybe it’s my lack of skills)
This is my go to place to have a quick bite for cheap. Quality of their noodles is pretty standard, but not the best. Soups are salty and not very flavourful at times. However, I love their rice dishes and their sides are nice as well. They have many options and the affordability of their food bumps their rating up for me.
Cheap, super fast and delicious! I and Xihuahua 🐶 felt really comfortable after eating there. Their tonktsu soup was a bit bland though. It is like a Japanese canteen haha!
I have been dining at Tenkomori for at least 3 years now and I have to say, they do not disappoint.
The reason for my excellent rating is due to the reasonably priced menu items as well as the consistency of flavours every single time I come here.
My regular order is the extra large chilli pork ramen with miso or tonkatsu broth. It is a simple and delicious ramen meal and I love it!
I truly think that this place ranks very high among all the other restaurants which serve ramen and it is in my books, a must try.
Really impressed!! First time coming here and I can already tell I’m going to be coming here more often. I couldn’t decide on whether to order a regular or large, but I’m glad I went with regular because the serving size is perfect and everything is portioned well (especially soup to noodle ratio). The ramen noodles are cooked well— perfectly chewy and not soggy and the soup base is full of flavour. The price point is also what makes this place really great. Super affordable and good value for money. Would recommend :)
Hidden Ramen place that has been in the heart of townhall for years. The place looks like a typical vendor of Japan this place makes awesome pork Ramen broth. Each bites I took, it gave me a that taste if umami.

Great ramen with great prices and lots of different varieties of ramen. Not much areas for seating when it’s busy and it’s almost always busy. At least the times I’ve been there.
A local favorite, it’s the type of place you would go if you had a bad day at work to cheer yourself up. You cannot go wrong with this place if you are looking for something filling, easy, and cheap yet tasty. You can get a ramen for under $10, although it does come in different sizes (Small, Regular, Large) and therefore slightly different prices. For me, the ramen was satisfying but average (all ramen is satisfying), and what really stood out was the street food. The octopus skewer was so tasty and definitely complimented my ramen well. The vegetarian fish cake skewer was a surprise winner. Substantial and flavourful without being overbearing, it tastes great both with and without the okonomiyaki sauce.
The food was very cheap and the decoration it’s so cute and comfy.
All the staff so friendly and they work very fast.
So recommended for people who looking for cheap food and also delicious in the same time.
This Japanese place has very cheap food! Only under $10 aud altogether for three bowls! Butter corn ramen soup, seaweed pickles rice and egg on rice. Small bowls of different varieties! good for a small snack or budget meal. .
Lots to choose from. Decide between ramen, udon or rice. With ramen you also get to choose a soup base, which you want and any additional toppings. There's also tempura and an assortment of goodies after you place your meal. Pay around the corner and it's open seating. Pretty much find a spot and plonk down.
I quite enjoyed Tenkomori ramen which is the house specialty. Mixture of everything and went with the bone broth. Quick and easy meal at a good price point.

[4.5/5] Tenkomori has decent ramen in conjunction with its price. Most large size bowls of ramens are less than $10. I usually get their signature ‘tenkomori’ as it encompasses all my favourite toppings such as the egg, pork loin, bamboo shoots and fish cake.
Definitely worth it for the price that you pay whenever you’re feeling like a warming and cheap ramen feed. They also have takoyaki and other various sides to add to your order.

Always consistent flavour. Super quick too, kind of Japanese fast food. My favourite is the tonkatsu soup base which is pork base. The one I ordered was the tenkomori ramen with some vegetable and roast pork.

Good place for a quick warm ramen meal. The noodle texture is really good but the soup is not as rich. The Kimchi Pork Ramen is ok but the Pork Cutlet Ramen is really good. The pork is fried nicely and tasted really flavourful. This place is always full but is worth the queue as lines move rather quickly and soon there will be an empty table.
Inside Regent Place, this food outlet had a large queue when I joined. It’s a pretty simple concept of checking the menu first, joining the queue, ordering your noodle dish (whether it was ramen or udon), grabbing any hot extras from under the heat lamps or cold extras and drinks from the fridges. Once you have completed your order you can make payment (cash only) at the register. Find a spare spot on the communal tables and away you go. The clean up of your meal is a self service operation too. Make sure you deposit the tray back to the kitchen.
The service is friendly here. I had the X-Large Kitsune Udon. There is a choice of regular, large, and x-large for the bowls of noodles. I also grabbed a piece of Chicken Karaage and Croquette (vegetable). The meal was good value (if you have bare minimum it’s great value) and it was tasty and perfect for the cold weather we’ve been having.

I usually don’t come here often but I always knew it would be a good place to order ramen. Usually would always order the chilli pork, adding an extra side of egg, seasoned scallop, and then to top it off, add chilli flakes and chilli oil to mix within the broth. Would recommend for winter or cold nights. Don’t forget to get calpis if you aren’t up for the challenge of eating chilli.

I waited 23 years to try ramen for the first time. What a mistake. I absolutely loved it! I had the Tenkomori ramen with pork broth and it was a flavour bomb. The service here is very efficient with a cafeteria style service line where you pick up items as you go along and pay at the end. Food is made to order, always fresh and hot. It is a very affordable price ($7.90 for regular) and even with a drink and some extra toppings, it will still cost you less than $15. The only downside is that there are limited tables so try timing your visit so you can eat in as it's always nicer to eat out of a proper bowl than a takeaway container.
This is a nice spot for a quick delicious meal eat in or take away. They have both ramen and rice dishes with a good selection of side dishes, desert and drinks as well. I had the Tenkomori ramen with shoyu broth (you can choose another base as well) which was really nice and filling. I like that you can pretty much construct your own meal and choose your preferred side dishes for a very reasonable price.
Fast service and the set out is similar to what you would get at a ramen place in Japan, you order your main dish at the counter and proceed around the bar where you can pick up some fried goodies like tempura, takoyaki etc. and also some side dishes or drinks from the fridge then you pay and collect at the last window. Process is quick and easy with lots of choice of food from rice dishes, ramen dishes with rich delicious broth, udon, curry. Only downside is that this place is pretty popular so it is sometimes difficult to get a seat so get your friends to save a seat for you while you order! TLDR: Yummy place for a quick bite to eat!
The food that we ordered were basically good, i especially love my cold udon with the soy sesame dressing, it was very refreshing during humid summer night. Service was good and i love how they have display of appetisers in small portion to accompany the meal. Overall happy and will go back.
Been here a couple of times now. Absolutely love it. No. 1 would recommend is the dry chilli ontama pork hot or cold - I can’t get enough of it. Have it on it’s own as a snack or bulk it up with the self serve sides.
On this particular occasion we ordered the cold ramen as it was a hot day. Nice refreshing twist to an old favourite - the soy broth is also very nice (may only be limited to summer though).
Got the Soy Milk Ramen ($5.20) and Tonkotsu Ramen (~$9) in the regular size.
The soy milk broth is sooooooOOOOOOOooo good!! So creamy but not sickening (I don’t feel well after too Gumshara-style broth)

Actually reasonably cheap and very very very x3 delicious. Fast service, nice staff and everything. Also easy to get to . Very popular probably because of its convenience and is wallet friendly so it may be difficult to get seats. Even when I went with friends a much earlier than lunch time, it was difficult for us to get seats despite having so many, proving the popularity of this place. Broth is delicious, and not watery like other ramen houses I've been too. And, u can adjust the flavour according to your personal preference with the seasonings they provide.

Tenkomori ramen with tonkotsu — tasty and flavoursome for what it’s worth. Chicken Namban, on the other hand, was a disappointment given its price. The chicken is pre-prepared so it was rather cold and underwhelming. The dressing was also overly salty and lacked depth, resulting in a dish that was barely resemblant of your typical Chicken Namban. Overall, not worth the price. I would, however, return for the ramen.
I remember coming here with my boyfriend when we were first dating and it's always been a pleasant experience afterwards. The food is super quick and convenient. It's very affordable and the servings are perfect. Would recommend coming here for a quick lunch.

Ordering worked like an assembly line, which I found really cute, and would definitely recommend! But be weary, the line here gets really long at lunch time !!

Came here for quick casual lunch with friends. Had tonkotsu base with a bit of everything. It was yummy and reasonable value. Small size is definitely enough. I think I would have appreciated being able to top my ramen with shallots and tempura flakes like at Mappen. Aside from this, it was a much needed bowl of noodles on a cold winter's day.
Been hearing about this place from my mates so tonight was the night to try it out! Went with the regular tenkomori ramen with tonkotsu soup base. Service was pretty quick which I must say is a first and the pricing of the food is quite affordable!
The ramen noodles were cooked pretty well to absorb the creamy tonkotsu soup which wasn't too thick or thin at all which evenly spreads the pork flavour in my mouth. The chashu pork I could tell was thin but marinated well before roasting the pork which meant the pork had some good roast flavour in it. The egg was slightly overboiled due to the yolk's lack of gooeyness but still retained the herbal egg flavour and not to mention the bamboo shoots and the fish cake was well salted!
Overall a solid ramen at such an affordable price! Great value for money and a good feed if you are on to go. You do have the option to upsize your ramen to satisfy your massive hunger!
And most of all, I'm most likely to return for other dishes!

One of the first ramens I had were from this place. I used to frequent this restaurant a lot especially during winter season until I found a new ramen place that suits my palate more. What I loved about this place is it screams authenticity, from the interiors, the menu and the staff (Japanese staff). For a city grub, this place is inexpensive. The only inconvenient part of dining in here is it is a cash only joint. Not to worry as there is an ATM in Regent Place near this restaurant. I love how you can choose from 4 types of broth for your ramen, the ramen bowl size and the experience of adding on additional toppings for your dish, which can be found in their mini fridge along the order line. I also love their prompt and friendly customer service. If you are looking for a cheaper but with bags of flavour ramen place, this one is a winner.
The ramen was really nice. The service was smooth and super fast. The price is very economical that you can have a big bowl at around 10. The pork broth tasted quite nice but a bit of too much salt. And also the friend chicken tasted really fresh and delicious!

Cannot complain at all, $7.90 for a bowl of Tenkomori miso ramen with a very generous amount of noodles, tasty soup (it's a liiittle bit salty for my taste but it's okay), an egg and a slice of pork (my essentials in a ramen). I was afraid that the pork would be tough but it was surprisingly soft. Service was quick, no hassle and plenty of shared seating. Super good for a quick, economical and decent bite to eat. Definitely need to try their Takoyaki and gyoza next time :D

Absolutely love the dry otama chilli pork. It's best served warm with sesame sauce. This is my go-to dish whenever I'm in the city for a quick feed. The sides are also nice to go with your meal, like takoyaki ballsand gyoza but they do taste like the ones you buy frozen. Very high value of money. I ordered a pork bone based soup with some side dishes. The pork bone soup is one of the best I ever had. Not too strong, yet full of flavour. I drank all of it, a quite rare case for me. As to the side dishes, the deep fried pork was very crispy outside and tender inside. They absolutely has cooked the pork in the right way. I.e. Pork get knocked several times, remove the blood taste correctly, marinated, covered by egg white before the flour. You can taste that none of the steps are skipped, even though it is quite cheap in price. The scallop salad was good as well. Quite chewy and the umami flavour will gradually come out. Satisfied. Will definitely come again.
Currently my all time fave ramen. The first time I tried the teriyaki chicken ramen (in the tonkotsu/pork broth), I instantly fell in love. The ramen is very succulent and very affordable. It was $10.40 for a large portion (and $8.90 for reg), which fulfils your appetite. 👏🏻😭🍜

Their menu is reasonably priced. $10.40 for a bowl of regular tonkatsu chasu ramen. Prices could be lower or higher depending on the type of ramen you choose. I might come back if I'm after cheap ramen. Won't come back if I'm after authentic ramen. Also, their soup was too salty for me.
Love the food at this place. I have been ordering their rice dishes. I tried chicken karaage don, the salmon flakes with rice, chicken teriyaki don, boiled egg with rice. One of the good thing at this place is that we can also pick your own little side dishes/fried stuff (fried chicken, fried spring roll, fried crab stick, seaweed, etc). The crab stick is my favourite. Price is good, service is really quick. Really recommend this if you want a quick meal before heading to the cinema.
Cheap and Delicious Tenkomori Tonkotsu Ramen in minutes At Tenkomori Ramen House~You can get almost all the traditional Ramen toppings in one large bowl with reasonable price under $10. The only shortcomings I found are that there are many customers so all the ramen was made very quickly thus the toppings might be a little messy placed, but it still looks appetizing. While the amount of soup is more than expected, it might be better to see less soup and some more noodles when it is presented in front of me rather than almost all soup and topping.
Wanted a quick lunch so came here. I had the cold noodles since it was a hot day. Satisfied my noodle craving. Nice flavour in the broth. Balanced- sweet, touch of sourness and tiny bit of chilli. I'm a student from out of town and this place is a godsend mainly because you can get ramen for 4.90 and it's pretty decent. It's fast, highly customisable (since you can choose broth, noodle size, extras, etc) and well located (next door there's chanoma, sedap, choc pot, yebisu, aqua... I'm a regent place fan as you can tell). RECOMMEND for a quick, no-fuss feed!
I love restaurants that operate like this. You order your main meal at the counter and move along the line with the provided tray. Along the way you select extra little side dishes and drinks to spruce up your main meal. They have a decent selection ranging from chicken pieces to octopus balls to potato salad or seaweed salad. At the end of the line you collect your main meal and pay (cash only). Don't forget to collect all your cutlery at the paying station. Meal was tasty and definitely a cheap eat.
Ordered the Dry Tenkomori (cold) with sesame dressing. Pretty decent on a hot day. Good flavors. Udon a little chewier than I expected. Nice fitout... Looking out at yebisu izakaya... Really felt like Japan!

Decent ramen for a decent price. Obviously not the best but gets the job done and I think it's great. Yet due to price increases it makes it less attractive to eat here since its selling point was its affordability. The ramen itself is pretty mediocre. Favourite broth is tonkotsu. Always grab an egg with your ramen. I wouldn't really bother with a lot of the side dishes since they're done way ahead and things like the takoyaki wouldn't be as great as it were when it was fresh. Overall nice for a quick and cheap eat.
If you're looking for great ramen at a relatively low price you should try Tenkomori. You're able to customise your meal with a range of sizes, broths and sides/toppings. I literally walk for 15 minutes to get here from work and it's well worth it. The tonkotsu broth is just amazing! I'm definitely returning here in the future to try other dishes as well! :)
Tenkomori ramen offers control to picky diners as they allow you to choose your ramen base (tonkotsu, shoyo and miso) and the toppings that go into your noodles. There are plenty to choose from like karaage or beef but my go to topping will always be chasu. You can also upsize your bowl to large if a regular ramen is not enough. Overall, the ramen was decent and worthy of your hard earned $$$.
My boyfriend and I are on a spree to find the best Ramen Stops in Sydney and so far, this is our favourite one! It's a small, cute and express corner shop of Regent's Place and it has a really authentic japanese food court style of serving Ramen!

Tenkomori is a small corner stall located at the Regent Place Arcade alongside eateries such as Chanoma Cafe, The Choc Pot, Aqua S etc. They serve a range of ramen dishes, curries, rice bowls and combination meal boxes. The one feature that the hubby was drawn to and wanted to show me was that at Tenkomori, one can pick and choose a variety of toppings or side dishes to go with the meal according to one’s preference, a concept that is quite common in Japan. I remembered visiting a similar joint in Tokyo where I unfortunately picked up some natto without not knowing what it was! It tasted horrible on the first AND subsequent bites! Eep, sorry for the natto lovers out there, natto is really not my thing! The hubby loves it though so he was looking forward to Tenkomori, in hope of picking some up *ergh*
I have been here a few times. The place overall is between okay and great. There is a wide variety of ramen and also other dishes like Kara-age Bowl (fried chicken bowl). There are a range of sizes for the ramen and the other dishes as well. Once ordered, you have the choice of taking some sides like octopus balls or fried chicken (at an extra cost of course). There are also a range of drinks like Calpis or oolong tea. The ramen is generally quite nice, and so are the Kara-age bowls. However, the setbacks are the price and sometimes the saltiness of the ramen. The dishes are a little bit on the expensive side, with a small bowl of Kara-age being 4.90. There is not that much in the bowl. And as well as price, there is taste as well. In some of the ramen dishes, the broth is too salty, and might end up putting one off their meal.
Tl;dr, the food is pleasant, price is a bit high, but overall a pretty good experience.

A really fast and pretty decent bowl of ramen that warms you up on a cold day. The little kiosk is located conveniently in regent place and has a few other options if you aren't into ramen. I got a karaage tonkotsu ramen with half cooked egg and mister got a miso pork and kimchi ramen. Pretty impressed with The broth and the range available. By the time you round the corner to pay after picking up some sides or drinks. Your ramens pretty much there waiting for you. I recommend for a quick and cheap ramen feed if you have a craving.

Tenkomori's menu has authentic Japanese flavours- at food court prices. You get several broth options, and it's also vegetarian friendly. A regular sized ramen will definitely fill you up- trust me!
