Been meaning to try choc pot for a while but they’re always quite busy, finally went and tried the chocolate fondue which is amaaazing. It was quite packed but the service was still pretty quick.:)
The ice-cream, with raspberry and chocolate slices, nougat accompanied with iced chocolate was delicious. Only down is pricey. Will come back to try other dishes and recommend.
This is a desert palour for waffles and icecreams. Xihuahua 🐶 said she will treat me with choc cake. We ended getting a coffee and cookiencream waffle. It took a while to make because they only had one staff. The coffee was very bitter and aromatic, complementary date browny was perfect to pari with the bitterness. The waffles are displayed in an impressive arrangement. I like how the waffles are not sweet. The ice cream offers enough sweetness. Enough for 2 people per plate. I highly recommend getting a treat here.
Very very yummy and good portion desserts. Great to have after eating something spicy.

Any place called The Choc Pot is bound to get mouths watering. Don’t stress though, they do in fact have a choc pot on the menu too - if those are the only words that got you in. They do have a lot more as well, with most of it being rich and indulgent as expected. The indulgently delicious Signature Choc Pot was a bowl of molten chocolate with a thin crust served with a side of vanilla ice cream and a few fresh strawberries. If you like chocolate, and like it molten, then this is the dish for you. It was a lot more filling than it first looked too. There’s plenty in this pot and it tasted great.
Cute dessert shop in Burwood. Friends and couple friendly place. Enjoyable at night. 😊
Great chocolate and dessert options!
Can get a little busy. Orders are places through iPads which are a little tedious.
Lucky enough to have this place open at 11pm. We were the last orders and even when the kitchen was closed they acknowledged our order.
Tried the choclate cake sundae and red velvet sundae. Loved the presentation and the taste. Just the right amount of sweetness. A bit disappointed with the smoothie although which was too watery..

Desserts and coffee: 5/5 stars. Details:
1) Choc pots signature dessert is their chocolate soufflé. Yummmmmmm!! Best dessert of my life. Served hot. Center has lots of melted chocolate and drips out and tastes like heaven with the chocolate cake. I suggest ordering a side of fresh strawberries which I like to dip into the soufflés center melted chocolate so it turns into my mini fondue. U should also get a side of vanilla ice cream as this compliments the chocolate flavors perfectly. Portion size is plenty for one person, not enough for two. perfect level of sweetness, it’s not sweet so I’m happy. only complaint is the side of the cake is too dry so maybe they should take it out of the oven sooner or something. center of cake is perfect.
2) They also have amazing ice coffee , best in the city, comes with generous scoop of ice cream in it. I like how the coffee flavor is perfect (other places tend to have ice coffees that tastes water downed but choc pot is not the case as it is perfect tasting). Portion is large. They have decaf and soy.
3) Oreo waffle is delicious. Comes with cookie and cream ice cream and freshly made waffles. Very large and plenty to be shared between two.
4) $5 Brownie is yum. We’ve tried their chocolate brownie and also their red velvet. I’m the type that’d choose chocolate over any flavor, but the red velvet is amazing and better than the chocolate brownie. Red velvet has some swirls of cheese cake plus the chocolate cake and red velvet part, so it’s moist, creamy, and just amazing, love love it. Brownies r displayed near the counter and u can choose from their various flavors.
5) $8 strawberries chocolate dip: very delicious and fun to dip into a small jar of chocolate. this is a chocolate fondue with strawberries. U can choose your chocolate type so I like dark chocolate, just have to tell them cuz the default flavor is milk chocolate. Portion size is small and ok for one person. The chocolate is warm, melted and tastes very high quality. I like to get this when I’m on a diet cuz it’s less calories compared to cake, like a good compromise heehee. Tastes very refreshing and light. Yummy!
6) extra ice cream scoop: my fav flavor is Oreo. Delicious! Scoop size is small.
7) Hot Chocolate: 5/5 stars. Tastes great but needed to be hotter in temperature.
8) Matcha Latte: 1/5 stars. Too much matcha in it, taste is too strong. I was unable to drink it. Horrible. They just need to put less matcha powder in it.
9) Waffle with strawberry and chocolate drizzle: 5/5 stars. Waffle was made fresh and it was delicious. Moist. Portion is very large, can b shared amongst two people. They put a lot of strawberries on it which I love. Would be better if waffle was a little bit crunchier.
Vibe: shop is cute and small . We always find a seat. But can be too noisy when there’s other people talking . They need to add foam boards to their walls cuz it’s too loud and needs dampener. It’s cuz the place has no windows so the sounds amplifies in a small space. But when it’s not busy then noise is obviously not a problem and so it feels very nice and relaxing :-)
This place Makes my brain instantly happy when I have their ice coffee drink and choc pot soufflé dessert w/strawberries added. U have to just try it for yourself and u will agree. I’m so addicted to this place. My fav dessert place and ice coffee, seriously!!
Service is friendly. A good date place.
They currently started offering happy hour from 3-6pm (I think), 30% off entire bill, can order anything (including coffee , desserts, and drinks!). Loving this happy hour deal and makes me come much more often. located inside The Regent place, next to Uncle Tetsu and Chefs Gallery. Also on Liven app and Entertainment book. They have very clean restrooms but outside the restaurant, down the escalators.
Yummy! Always crowded place! It’s good to hang out with 1 or 2 people because of small place! Its desserts so it’s a little bit so sweet for me but it’s worth to try!
If ur looking for a sweet and aesthetic fix, then this is definitely the place for u! Banana split crepe was so perfect that we almost didn't want to eat it, and the whipped cream filling wasn't too sweet which balanced out the nutella well. Only critique was the slow customer service since they transitioned to electronic ordering.
Great for chocolate and dessert cravings! Good place for hangout with friends and family. Interior is welcoming and staff is nice! Thank you for allowing me to have a great experience! 😊🍫
...what we all need is a big dessert and the Choc Pot is a good place to get that. So my brother and I take the Victorian cousins over to The Choc Pot after our meal at Chicken & Sons and this place looks great. Great layout, great looking dessert, perfect for the chocolate/ice cream/dessert loving person.
Red velvet cake sundae
It was exceptional, the warm velvet cake with the delicious cold vanilla icecream made this dessert absolutely delicious! Will definitely be back
S’mores waffnut✨
Not only was the food good, the service as well. Other than the place being small, I would definitely recommend this dessert place to others!❤️
A nice place with a not-so-fancy ambience, go to place for after work sugar cravings. We ordered the brownie with ice cream and the signature choc pot. I would recommend the brownie as it had the rustic home made taste. The choc pot wouldn't be my top pick as the last bit wasn't cooked to perfection. The staff is warm and friendly. Would visit again to try the variations they offer in a single recipe. Customization to your satisfaction is what I really liked.
Took my bestie here while she visited Sydney since she’s a chocoholic. We had the choc pot, lord of the crepes and caramel hot chocolate with marshmallows after dinner (yea obviously we went cray cray and over ordered).
The choc pot is yummy and soothing as always with that warm and gooey chocolate centre. My bestie loved it so much that she almost wanted to get another one. I am not a huge chocolate fan but I still enjoyed it very much.
Lord of the crepes is a very thin crispy crepe topped with cream, nutella and strawberries. This combination never goes wrong but the crepe is a little too thin for my liking. It would be perfect if they could do the chewy and soft type of crepe.
The hot chocolate was creamy and not overly sweet even with the marshmallows. A great drink for cold weather and those who got a sweet tooth.
Overall an awesome spot for dessert lovers and a HEAVEN for chocoholics.
I’m super fussy when it comes to my crepes, and whenever I have been here, they have always been made to perfection. The drinks are amazing too. My favourite go to!
If you love chocolate and want a fun and beautiful dessert 🧁 this is the place to go to. A wide variety of unique dishes and beautifully presented. Reasonable in price and definitely satisfying. Well worth visiting.
I tried the oreo flavor and the strawberry one. Both were yummy, and the ice cream in the strawberry waffle was tasty with the chocolate sauce. nice
Such a dessert heaven! The Choc Pot offers many indulgent goodies to satisfy your cravings for chocolate and other sweet stuff. Great customer service and the dessert (S’mores) was delicious.
First time coming here I enjoyed the Rainbow Waffnut. Before eating it, I thought the waffle would be chocolate which made me hesitant on ordering it. However when it came out, it surprisingly had a blueberry taste which was better than I expected. First time at The Choc Pot, although the wait for the food was long, it was worth it. Second time coming back, I once again ordered a Rainbow Waffnut, however, the blueberry taste was not there. Third time coming back, I asked one of the staff what the waffle flavour was and she said “there isn’t one”, making me a bit confused. Nevertheless, I ordered something new which was the Honeycrumb Waffernut. It was not overly sweet and tasted great. Everything is made fresh and is worth the long wait 😊
Who doesn't love chocolate? We took the assortment of decadents to dip in their decadent melted chocolate which we could top off with extra toppings. You're not human if you don't love this! Awesome place to be, service is quick and food is nicely made, even the brownies were warm!
The choc pot makes everything fresh which I really enjoy. If there is a full house expect your dessert to be delayed however we were with a group so we managed to make use of the time. If you are a huge fan of chocolate I’d recommend their signature choc pot. It comes boiling hot served with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. The Choc Pot is perfect for a cold winters day
Their titular dessert is what you should be coming here for. The Choc Pot is basically a brownie lava cake in a mug and its a chocolate-lover’s dream. It can be a bit pricey ($12.50) but its legit worth it once in a while as a treat. They’re drinks are also not too expensive; on par with other dessert places at somewhere around $6-7 dollars. The other desserts I feel are a bit of a filler. Crepes for around the same price as the Choc Pot are pretty expensive and the dollop of icecream or chocolate sauce or whatever doesn’t do much to justify it. If you’re here, just stick to why the Choc Pot became Instagram famous (at least for a while). The matcha latte was alright though; can be a bit grainy at the top im the foam but it gets smoother. Its not that bitter if you’re into a reaaaally strong matcha flavour but you can definitely taste it through the sweetness.
I love Choc Pot and their monthly specials. Desserts are good, fresh and yummy. They definitely can add more selection to their drinks menu though. And they are usually crowded so it's not the best place to destress and take your time. Also definitely prefer the old menu book!
Came here with my cousin to try out their desserts, saw that they had a special dessert “Easter Brownie Nest”. I ordered that to share and tried their White Peach Tea & Raspberry and my cousin ordered the lychee shake. It was a really hot day so I was craving something to cool me down, the peach tea and raspberry was very refreshing and the peach had a very nice essence to it. The lychee shake was interesting but I couldn’t really taste the lychee as it had subtle flavour and there was a lot of ice so it kind of diluted the lychee flavour more.
The Easter Brownie Nest was not only very cute but it was yummy as well! The brownie was very moist and I liked how they put mousse inside as well as small chocolate eggs. It wasn’t overly sweet and there were different types of chocolate (not only one). There were 3 types of brownies (chocolate walnut, white chocolate carrot and chocolate mousse milk chocolate) so you don’t get sick of eating it. Staff were very friendly and it was a nice atmosphere to just talk to friends over dessert. Prices were quite reasonable for desserts ($12.50) and the proportion was reasonable but it was a bit expensive for drinks (about $6.50 - $7). Would happily come back to try more dessert 😋
The signature Choc Pot is worth the price you’re paying. It was cooked to perfection where the outer layer was slightly crisp, and the inside chocolate was molten. The flavours were all there and the strawberries could easily be dipped into the pool of chocolate. They close late so it’s always my go to for an evening dessert. Their service is fast however beware that it is always packed! I just wish they would reopen their Chatswood branch which is local to me!
This place has something amazing in the pot. I've cut to the chase and tasted 'The Choc Pot'. It was heavenly and instantly made my day better. If you love chocolate and muffin, go for the pot and you'll be happy. I give the choc pot 4.5 bears.
Note: If you love ice cream, order vanilla and you'll thank me.
I've revisited the place to have a go at the waffles but it was just a bit complicated and overloaded. The Choc Pot with vanilla ice cream still wins. Try choc pot first if you're a first timer.
I've been here many times and it varies in terms of service but the most recent time was great! We were pleasantly surprised by the rainbow special and got so full we didn't need proper lunch. Decent coffees and tasty food
Excellent dessert place which uniquely pairs desserts with suggested flavors of hot tea.
We had their signature Hot Fudge Brownie - salted caramel brownie smothered with Belgian Chocolate and vanilla ice cream and whipped cream towered on top. Very yummy.
The suggested tea pairing of Passion fruit black tea surprisingly complemented the dessert.
Such a simple concept really, the signature Choc Pot is essentially a molten chocolate lava cake in a cup (you can even do this in your microwave at home). However it's also about the trimmings & the decadence presentation. Molten chocolate in chocolate cake with more chocolates on top. It was sweet, but not overly sweet, and does match perfectly with a cup of tea. Only wish there were a few more pieces of strawberries to give it more contrast.
Best place for choc I have ever been. I went with my friends and all food we ordered was soooo chocolatey! Will return for sure and bring more friends!
While on a vacation from Melbourne, TimTam had the “Choc Pot”.
The dessert itself was tasty and runny, while not being too sweet in the centre. However, the vanilla ice cream was $3 for one scoop on the side. Not really good value.
Service was friendly and fast, although it should be noted that you pay at the counter.
This place is always my friend and I, go to dessert place. We love our dessert and this place always fills that second stomach. They have changed the menu since we last came, they use to have photos of all the desserts. But still have the photos of the popular ones. Come here if you want a big Sugar hit!
They offered rich and decadent dessert with chocolate, although I have never tried their signature choc pot, I have gone in for a few times for waffles. They do pretty good waffles, but recommend to share if you can. Could get a bit tired of it when there's so much chocolate on your plate.
Their Vanilla ice cream is pretty good too, but 3$ for a side of small ice cream is a bit steep.
I would say there's better dessert choices in Regent place than the Choc pot, but not bad if you're specifically craving chocolate.
Maybe i'll try the drinks next time.
Really good with a variety of different chocolate desserts for all ages. Prices start from roughly $15 and the time taken to make the desserts is about 10 minutes- depending on what you order as they make it to order. But it's ok, as you'll forget all about it when the food arrives!! 🍫
The Regent Place shop is small, suitable for a short break, and talks between friends. The shop name is the same as the name of their signature dessert--The Choc Pot. So I ordered that with my friends without any hesitation.
The pot is hot enough, and small enough. Well, the pricing $12.5 is a bit high, because this is almost the same as souffle except that it is hot. You can choose to add ice-cream, which costs $3 and is again very ordinary taste. The chocolate is sweet but tedious. Although it looks really nice, I won't go for the same thing again.
Still I want to try more desserts(As they look so nice in the menu), but won't pick #The Choc Pot# any more.
You just can't go wrong with chocolate 🍫🍫🍫~! I've been here a few times already, but they changed their menu recently and there aren't photos for some desserts now which is unfortunate 🙃🙃 but zomato has the old menu photos 👍🏻👍🏻
The lighting is really warm and cozy, I've only ever been here at night but I feel like that's when the atmosphere is at its best 😍✨💕
With a name like The Choc Pot, this dessert cafe was just calling my name. As you may have guessed they specialize in tantalizing chocolate treats. This is where chocolate fantasies become reality. They have various locations in Sydney and I went to the one in Regent Place. You place your order at the counter and once the desserts are ready, a server will bring it over to you. The menu includes crepes, waffles and more!
I visited on a really cold winters night and the dessert here really hit the spot. We got the choc pot and the Me Souff. Both desserts looked amazing and the choc pot was deliciously molten on the inside. Definitely make sure you gat some ice cream on the side to cut through the richness but definitely worth a visit. It can get busy so you may have to line up.
lovely place to have some warm and sweet sweet dessert in winter :) but somehow it was very noisy inside the shop that I could not hear my friend while she was just sitting next to me...
Found this chocolate heaven in regent place, townhall. Lovely chocpot : melted hot chocolate in the pot, make sure to add ice cream on the side just to balance the sweetness and loves the combination of hot & cold. 👍🏽👍🏽😍😍
Choc Pot is one of my favourite dessert places in the city! Good price and value.
I love how soft and fluffy the waffles are, the vanilla ice cream has actual vanilla beans in it - YUM! I'm not usually a huge fan of brownies, but the peanut butter brownie from this place is absolutely delicious!
Came here for the first time last weekend and I have to say I'm super impressed. We had just finished a big dinner and we're looking for something small and sweet to share. We had previously heard good things about Choc Pot so we gave them a go. We ordered the strawberry fields waffles. The waffles were made to order in-store and were crunchy but fluffy on the inside. We made sure to order a scoop of vanilla icecream with the waffles. The vanilla icecream was proper vanilla bean icecream with nice little flecks throughout.
Looking forward to coming back to try the rest of the menu.
It can take a while to get a seat, and once you do there is a decent wait for most of the desserts, but once they come it's worth it! The choc pot is rich, sweet and chocolatey. The brownie is a little too sweet for my taste. Situated right near townhall station, this little chocolate haven is perfect for an indulgent treat
Has the chocpot and strawberries waffle.
It was so good and definitely would come back again and recommend to friends.
Loved the chocolate, it was rich and filling but at the same time not too much to hate it.
A popular dessert cafe with rich indulgent dishes to end your meal. The iconic dish is the chocolate fondant and it is indeed a lovely warm dessert for all the chocolate lovers. The waffles are also pretty good although on my last visit it was a bit hard being a tad over cooked but I don't mind slightly crunchier waffles. I also recommend the brownies and icecream dish because it's an awesome mix of hot and cold.
You order and pay at the counter first and table water is self-serve. There is a bit to a wait if you order the chocolate fondant but service is generally efficient and great.
i love this place!! i first thought it would be too sweet after seeing it and how much chocolate drizzle there was, but the food here is insanely perfect and good. there were 3 staff members only, but the food came at a reasonable time and the tables were cleaned well in a short amount of time for guests to keep coming in. the waffles and the crepes were such wonderful desserts. will 100% be back!!
Delectable looking desserts. One is enough for two by the way. They are a sweetness overload though and my daughter found her banana split crepe, covered in melted chocolate and infused with cream, too sweet to eat much of. We also had a red velvet hot chocolate. Nice, but didn't look as slick as the picture on the menu. Staff need some barista training me thinks. A good place if you have a very, very sweet tooth.
Always aim to come here and try something new but always end up having that same delicious choc pot. Baked to order, out comes a gorgeous dense part soufflé part brownie almost, with a molten chocolate centre. Comes served with strawberries and I always order vanilla bean ice cream on the side to break it up a bit. Faveeeee
BANOFFEE CREPE IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE BEST DESSERT I HAVE EVER EATEN. And I LOVE my desserts, there's nothing this dish can do wrong. I'm personally not a fan of toffee but this is a MUST for everyone. Caramelised banana is drool-worthy and the toffee cream on another level. And of course, no dessert is ever complete without chocolate. The staff was also very friendly and welcoming! 10/10!!
Banoffee Crepe : 😍 Amazing
Service : 😍 Amazing
This Banoffee Crepe is possibly one of the best crepes I have ever tasted. It had salted caramel, toffee cream with crispy caramel pieces, bananas, crispy crepe skin and it was drizzled with warm chocolate sauce and on top was a creme-brûlée-style caramelised banana. Absolutely Devine! Sadly it's only available for a limited time so go get your butt to The Choc Pot right now!
The most delicious, indulgent chocolate dessert you could ever eat. 'The choc pot' itself had just the right amount of gooey chocolate lava oozing out and the vanilla bean ice cream went perfectly with it.
I have to say, the caramel souffle - 'Mr Souff' was not very flavorsome. The only time I could taste anything was when I poured the caramel on top.
This is one of the very few coffee/choc hangout places in the city. For hangout purpose, the ambience and venue are more important than what's on the menu. The drinks and food were okay - not too hyped and not bad. Could be crowded on Fridays. Wasn't noisy, suitable for conversations. Just a shame they accept cash only, need to improve on this.
I loved the drinks and the food too except the signature dessert was a bit dry, however the chocolate glazed strawberries made up for it. Also the waffles were amazing as they melted in my mouth 😍😍
Located within regent place this is a great dessert place. The choc pot speciality was amazing. Combined with vanilla ice cream you get the contrasting sensations of warm and cold, the chocolate oozes out from the fondant. Tasted amazing however at $15 the serving size is quite small. Also cash only.
The Choc Pot's signature dessert! Be prepared for an eruption of molten chocolate from this freshly baked little fondant. Because it's freshly baked, you gotta wait for at least 10 mins, but trust me it is worth the wait!
The fondant was so soft and chocolatey. Topped with melted chocolate sauce this dessert is perfect for a chocolate lover. The moment you dip your spoon, you will be surprised by the melting chocolate inside. The chocolate was thick and velvety. Accompanied by strawberries that you can directly dip into the pot, sounds like a fondue right?
More detailed review: grabandbites.blogspot.com.au/2016/10/the-choc-pot-cbd.html
The signature choc pot was delicious but the cake got a bit plain at the bottom. The vanilla bean ice-cream was even better! Just a bit pricey all for $15.
The choc pot is one of the go to places in Sydney for chocolate lovers. We ordered the signature choc pot and a strawberry waffle with vanilla bean ice cream. If you're in hurry do look to avoid this place, it took nearly 30 mins for us to receive our order. However, the choc pot was definitely worth the wait, it was sumptuous lyrics chocolaty, dripping with warm fudge chocolate combined with vanilla bean ice cream, it was a treat. The strawberry waffle, was not something extraordinary like the choc pot (the choc pot raised our expectations).
Overall, it is a must visit place for any chocolate fan in Sydney and if you have an appetite built do try the choc milkshakes as well.
Had a bit of a sweet tooth tonight and this seemed like a good choice and located within Regent Place where there has been a proliferation of dessert places especially anything to do with ice cream! Service was lovely.
I wanted something chocolately and there is no lack of choice for that here. I went with their signature dessert of The Choc Pot. Once delivered to me it smelt so good! It was an explosion of molten chocolate once you dug into the fondant cake. Tasted great but struggled to finish it as it was so rich. I had a Red Velvet Hot Chocolate to accompany it. It was a delicious drink and definitely needed the cream cheese whipped cream to temper the sweetness too.
Chocolate overload tonight but definitely worth trying!
Everything on the menu looks delicious! Everything we ordered was super delicious!! Especially loved the choc soufflé. Service was top notch as well. It's hard to get a table during peak hours, but definitely worth the wait and calories!
I've been to the the Burwood branch quite a few times and was glad that they opened one at the CBD. Made a pit stop here right after dinner to fulfill our daily dose of sugar.
I highly recommend ordering the Choc Pot with vanilla icecream. I always order this every time I go here and is a definite must. It's also good for sharing as well.
The mango ice smasher was refreshing but there is nothing really special about it. I like it but I personally don't think it was worth $8.
There is definitely something missing from this CBD branch. The ambience, atmosphere, vibe isn't as great as the Burwood branch. It didn't help that the staff members kept changing the music every 15 seconds too - not exaggerating here.
I would go here again as it's more convinient but I would prefer going to the Burwood branch if it was more accessible to me.
A great place for desserts, but sometimes a tad pricey. The desserts are always amazing every time I go, and never take very long to arrive. The staff are always very friendly, and the inside is very spacious. However, compared to The Choc Pot in Burwood, something seems a bit lacking, and the atmosphere always feels a bit off inside. But despite that, I will always keep going back for more great desserts.
Wide selection of classics, as well as newer favourites. The desserts were well presented, but be warned; they are very rich. If you aren't that big on dessert (or forgot your second stomach at home), definitely share one with a friend.
I went here as I walked past and saw the sign for a red velvet drink. I did a double take and circled back, ordering a red velvet hot chocolate. Can I say it was incredible, just like a hot chocolate with red velvet touch and a bit of White chocolate to top it off. Awesome. I also got a red velvet slice which was like a runny brownie with chocolate drizzled over the top. Such decadence, but delicious. The waitresses were lovely and there were plenty of customers there to enjoy some sweet treats.
The new Churro choc explosion from the Choc Pot at the Regent Place #sydneycbd decadence on a plate! The flat white was pretty good too! Very busy cafe!
The signature dish fondant is full on chocolate sweetness, perhaps a tad too much sweetness. The Honeycrumb Waffnut hits the spot. The recommended teas with each dessert is a nice touch.
Essentially the same as the Chatswood outlet, but something was lacking. Can’t really pinpoint it, it could be the vibe, the set up? Either way I think I’ll stick to Chatswood.
Desserts were nice, The Choc Pot is still a great place for desserts regardless of the outlet location. Lots of chocolatey goodness and they go down a treat with hot tea. Definitely missing the WOW factor I had experienced previously, but then again I could just be desensitized from eating it too much.
Peanut butter mud cake sundae cannot be missed. Served with cream & caramel coated pop corn. Ambience is basic but people are friendly & helpful.
I walked past this place and saw the pictures on the wall. Delicious delicious desserts!! We tried the hot fudge brownie sunday. Wowie this was a beautiful dessert!!! The pictures speak for themselves. I am not a coffee connoisseur but the foam on top was quite bitter so wasn't in love with the coffee. We ordered a latte. Friendly service, all the ladies had a smile on their face. And how can you not, serving such treats! If i wasnt so impatient we would have ordered the choc pot (an eruption of molten chocolate) it looks like a must try.
After my lunch I stopped here for some sweetness and it didn't disappoint as I found the choc pot with a side of ice cream ($15) to be very rich and I couldn't finish it! I usually finish all my desserts but I did love their vanilla bean ice cream scoop which was generous.
The desert itself was nice but the base which had no more lava was a bit plain. Save your ice cream to eat with this!
The chocpot is pretty good and maybe an excellent choice for those who love chocolate and sweets. The cake crust is really gorgeous and smells amazing. To be honest, it's too sweet for me but worth to try.
Last week I and my friend visited another one of the famous dessert parlour in Sydney, The Choc Pot. Along with its name, the famous this of this dessert place is chocolate-something which served in pot (a small bowl) or most of us known as molten choco lava cake. Unfortunately, we did not order that cake and chose waffle instead.
My honeycrumb waffnut was basically 2 round shaped crunchy waffles stacked up with rock salt ice cream on the layer, crunchy biscuit crumbs, topped with Belgian chocolate, salted caramel and upside down ice cone. I think I made a good decision when pairing it with a cup of tea to balance its salty and sweetness. I like the texture of the waffle, it crunchy outside but still soft inside. I crushed the ice cone, sprinkle the crumbs to my ice cream and finally scooped it together with the slice of waffle. You might want to share it with a friend as I don't think you can finish it by yourself LOL.
Since I love tea, I really like it when The Choc Pot has some selection of green tea. I like tea with clear appearance and have fruit or flower mixture init. Previously, I cant decided which tea flavor should I choose. The Choc Pot has Japanese lime, mango sencha, Japanese Cherry from Green tea selections, white rose (white tea), passion fruit, white peach, berries & orange, apricot & peach from black tea selections.
Another dish was Secret Garden, a glass of dark chocolate Callebaut and white chocolate Callebaut topped with biscuit crumbs, chocochips and Strawberry. Secret Garden's texture was really soft and smooth, I want this dish like everyday, hahahahahah.
Overall, I really enjoyed my time in The Choc Pot. Maybe on my next visit I will come to their branch in Burwood, Rosebery or Chatswood to get another comfy dessert time experience and try their crepes, their famous choc pot and Green tea panna cotta latte, let's LIVE CHEEKY!!
I really liked the waffle with the cone and the banoffee crepe. The brownie was too sweet for my liking but I mean it's a dessert shop - what else did I expect
Chocoholic's heaven!! Rich and creamy desserts. Pricing was fair. Definitely try out the choc pot!! Totally worth the wait. It was so good i came back twice after the first time :P
We were on the way to Aqua S one evening, intending to try the latest instagrammable soft serve flavour, when we came across this new dessert place right next door and were drawn in immediately. The Mr Souff (gluten free!) chocolate soufflé topped with salted caramel was surprisingly good, airy but indulgent at the same time. We also tried the waffle plate to share but that was more standard Max Brenner fare. However the use of Callebaut chocolate is to be commended. Try a hot chocolate if you only want some liquid gold, they come in cute and hand huggable mugs.
This joint has something amazing in the pot. I've cut to the chase and tasted 'The Choc Pot'. It was heavenly and instantly made my day better. If you love chocolate and muffin, go for the pot and you'll be happy.
Note: If you love ice cream, order the vanilla flavour and you'll thank me.
I've revisited the place to have a go at the honeycrumb waffnut but it was just a little complicated and overloaded. I did like choc cupcake. The Choc Pot with vanilla ice cream still wins. Try choc pot first if you're a first timer.
Good but nothing amazing. Coffee was pretty average. Dessert was tasty but pretty small portion for the price (just giant whipped cream on top). Wouldn't rush back but might still pop in if I was in the area
Great experience and atmosphere, the food there is fantastic and they really do use high quality chocolate from Callebaut. 'The Choc Pot 'never disappoints, the food is definitely as good as it looks.
P.S Free water provided via tap (self serve)
Busy little place with a nice selection of chocolatey goodness! Friendly service. Table up keep was a little off - fair enough it is busy but cleaning up and restocking cutlery should be a priority. Also I got the choc pot and it was yummy but boiling a little warning as it was been placed down would have been lovely as the pot itself was burning hot. Otherwise lovely place to indulge in chocolate.
This place has become a staple of my friends' Friday night dinners - really good desserts for a decent price right in the CBD! Their new specials every month keep things interesting also.
Love the s'mores hot chocolate here and keep coming back for more. They've really trimmed their dessert menu though and I'm yet to try desserts from their new menu..
Yum Yum Yum - First time impressions means a lot to me. My wife and I found these desserts amazing and freshly made. The waffles are so fluffy yet crispy at the same time. The layers were well balanced and had the right amount of ice cream in between. Will definitely be coming back here. 🙌🏼😋
